In line with the previous years Padma Awards after the Narendra Modi government came to power, not so well-known commoners have also been included alongside prominent personalities in the list of Padma awards. Jagdish Lal Ahuja, Javed Ahmad Tak, Satyanayana Mundayoor, S Ramakrishna and Yogi Aeron are some of the commoners who have awarded for their extraordinary work in the field of social work.

Jagdish Lal Ahuja, affectionately called as ‘Langar Baba’, is being awarded for “selflessly organising langars for 500 plus poor patients daily for over two decades”. He also helps patients with financial aid and provides blankets and clothes to them.

Another commoner, Javed Ahmad Tak, who hails from Anantnag in Kashmir and is wheel-chair ridden, has been selflessly helping specially-abled children for two decades for their integration and assimilation in mainstream life.

Bollywood celebrities-Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut have also been included in the list of Padma Shri award recipients.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Padma awardees, saying they include extraordinary people. “The awardees include extraordinary individuals who have made exceptional contributions to our society, nation and humanity,” he tweeted.

These awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/April every year.

Congress candidate booked in Seelampur riots backs Shaheen Bagh-like anti-CAA protests in Seelampur, makes it poll issue

In yet another anti-CAA demonstration backed by the Congress party, women in Delhi’s Seelampur have been sitting on a protest march since the past eight days in opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act, NRC and NPR.

According to the reports, the law enforcement agency officials decamped the women from the place at least thrice but most of them have returned back to continue their protest, claiming they are doing so under the aegis of the Congress candidate Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed.

Seelampur is a Muslim-dominated area with more than 50 per cent of residents Muslims. Former Congress MLA Mateen Ahmed has centred his upcoming assembly election strategy around the opposition to the CAA-NRC and has extended his support to the protesters who are carrying out a sit-in at in the Seelampur locality.

Earlier on January 12, senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor too had expressed his support for the anti-CAA stir happening across the National Capital. He visited Jamia, Shaheen Bagh and expressed his solidarity with the demonstrators while resorting to fear-mongering by claiming that CAA is discriminatory against the Indian Muslims.

With Congress candidate allegedly supporting and promoting Shaheen Bagh-like protest in a sensitive area like Seelampur, it is proven beyond doubt that Congress is aiming to encash electoral gains in the upcoming Delhi elections by raising the bogey of CAA-NRC and engendering unwarranted fear among the Muslim residents.

It is also noteworthy to mention that Congress leader Mateen Ahmed was earlier named in the FIR filed in relations to riots in Seelampur during anti-CAA protests. Seelampur had been on tenterhooks following the widespread violence in the aftermath of the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act last month. On December 17, 2019, coordinated anti-CAA riots ensued after the mosque in the neighbourhood summoned Muslims to gather for the protest against the CAA.

Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed

According to police, Mateen was among the two leaders provoked the crowd to join the protest. The police FIR had said that an uncontrolled crowd had joined the unauthorised protests on the provocation of the Congress leader. A bike rally led by Mateen Ahmed had joined the protesters who had indulged in riots, according to police. He had continued to led the rally despite police asking him not to do so, as it was feared that the protests may turn violent.

Muslim mobs carried out violent riots in Seelampur area of Delhi during their protests against the Citizenship Act. The violent protestors had even attacked school buses in Delhi’s Seelampur area. The rioters were also seen beating up policemen.

Later, the police had to resort to tear gas after the so-called ‘peaceful protestors’ pelted stones at them, injuring police officials including Additional DCP RP Meena. A Police post was also set on fire by the mob along with police and private motorcycles. The mob reportedly taunted the policemen to run after them following which they pelted stones at them.

Here are four incidents at Shaheen Bagh that show the true Jihadi nature of anti-caa protests, if riots weren’t proof enough

The anti-CAA protests, especially at Shaheen Bagh, which began as a peaceful protest has now crossed all the boundaries as it turns out to be another typical left-wing managed anti-India event. The anti-CAA riots, which initially turned communal, manifested through anti-Hindu posters have now taken an anti-India turn with protestors openly batting for secession from India.

In just last week, many events have unfolded which indicates that the anti-CAA protests were just a facade for anti-India elements to create chaos and anarchy to further their secessionist agenda on the streets of the country.

Initially, the liberal-secular media had hoped that the earlier anti-CAA protests in December, despite being violent in nature, could start a fresh wave of revolution and chaos to bring the Modi government to its knees. The media ecosystem backed these ultra-left wing cadres and Muslim mobs while turning a blind eye towards the riots they unleashed.

However, the violent protests that had erupted across the country in December had not only failed to put pressure on the government but also miserably floundered to garner enough public support.

With nowhere to go, the Muslim mobs backed by the left-wing cadres and media now decided to seize one of the strategic lines of communications in Delhi – Shaheen Bagh to create disorder on the streets of the national capital to garner global attention.

Nevertheless, the masks of the so-called protestors and intellectuals who backed the anti-CAA riots are now falling off. The sinister plot behind the staged event at Shaheen Bagh ‘protests’ is now out in the open.

Here are the incidents that have transpired at Shaheen Bagh in the last few days which have now exposed the nefarious designs of anti-India forces and Jihadi elements.

Hinduphobic propaganda by Islamists of Shaheen Bagh:

Following the failure of violent protests perpetrated by the Muslim mobs on the streets of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia University, few women belonging to Muslim community sat on a protest at Shaheen Bagh, blocked a bus stop and a highway causing severe problems to the public of Delhi.

Shaheen Bagh protests, which were initially passed off as an organic protest in a bid to ‘save the constitution’ began to turn into a blatantly communal event. It was earlier reported that the Muslim mobs had shouted pro-Pakistan and Hinduphobic slogans like “Jinnah Wali Azadi”, demanding another partition of the country.

Read- The make-believe world of Shaheen Bagh protests will come down crashing: Here is why

Later, another Hinduphobic poster came up at the protest site in which the Hindu Swastika was depicted wrongfully which shown crushed, and Hindu women were shown in Burkha.

These Hinduphobic posters and chanting of slogans “Jinnah Wali Azadi” had exposed the claims of “liberal-secular” media who were insisting that these protests peaceful and spontaneous in nature.

Secessionist agenda at Shaheen Bagh and Sharjeel Imam:

The Shaheen Bagh protests which started as a one-day protest against the CAA continues till today. In a Republic TV sting, it was exposed that its organiser Sharjeel Imam had confessed that the whole idea of Shaheen Bagh protests was to block traffic for one day to garner the attention of global media.

The protestors with active support from the media got emboldened and tried to create furthermore nuisance to the residents of the Delhi by occupying streets, highways and bus stop.

Read- Shaheen Bagh protests: Deep dive into how JNU ‘student’ and The Wire columnist Sharjeel Imam went from ‘let us burn Constitution’ to ‘saving it’

The anti-CAA protests slowly turned into communal as Hinduphobic and anti-India slogans began to appear on the streets of Delhi. The expose of videos of Sharjeel Imam, the chief co-ordinator of Shaheen Bagh protests, in which he calls for secessionist agenda and urges Muslims to cut North-east from the rest of the country further exposed the real intentions behind the anti-CAA protests.

“If 5 lakhs Muslims are organised then we can cut the North-east from rest of India. If we cannot do permanently, at least we can cut North-east from India for months. Our responsibility is to cut the Assam from India then Govt will hear our voice. If we have to help the Assam then we will have to cut the Assam from rest of India,” said Sharjeel Imam while instigating Muslims in Shaheen Bagh.

In an exclusive OpIndia expose, we had reported how the protests at Shaheen Bagh in the name of saving the constitution are being organised by people who had planned to burn the Constitution.

On December 31, OpIndia had published screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation where Sharjeel Imam had said that he would prefer to burn the constitution, as burning the 1500 page Ayodhya judgement would be difficult. He had said this while planning protests after the historic Ram Mandir verdict was given by the Supreme Court.

Sharjeel Imam is a PhD scholar from JNU who was earlier caught discussing regarding burning the constitution one day ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on the long-contested Ram Janmabhooomi-Babri Masjid dispute. Moreover, a video was posted by Facebook group ‘Muslim Students of JNU’ on 14 December 2019 – a day ahead of the Shaheen Bagh protests telling the crowds to block the roads of Delhi. He was seen instigating Muslims saying ‘Don’t Muslims even have that much in them to shut down cities of north India?’

With that expose of real intentions behind Shaheen Bagh protests, beyond any doubt, it was established that the anti-CAA protests, especially at the Shaheen Bagh, which had earlier turned rampantly communal, was now at the brink of pushing dangerous secessionist agenda aiming for a second partition.

Assault by anti-CAA mob on Journalist Deepak Chaurasia and other journalists:

Left-wing cadres and anti-CAA mob have attacked journalists several times, especially the ground reporters ever since the sinister propaganda of these so-called ‘liberal-secular’ brigade were exposed by these scribes.

In a similar incident on Friday, consulting Editor of News Nation Deepak Chaurasia was attacked by a mob at Shaheen Bagh on Friday during their so-called ‘protest’ against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Doordarshan reporter Nitendra Singh and their team of camera persons were also manhandled by a group of protesters at the site and physically prevented from discharging their journalistic duties.

Read- Journalists lay the groundwork for ‘tactical retreat’ of Shaheen Bagh protests: Here are the possible reasons

The mobsters, who had almost lynched Deepak Chaurasia, have always found inspiration from a few award-winning ‘journalists’, who are close to the Congress ecosystem. The elitism of some of these old-guard Lutyens ‘journalists’, who often condescendingly refer to the small-time and independent reporters as ‘Godi media’ has inspired these mobsters to bay their blood as they constantly exposed their agenda in the public.

The Muslim mobs at Shaheen Bagh, who are being exposed day-after-day for all their dangerous anti-India and anti-Hindu propaganda seems to be frustrated and are attacking the ‘journalists’ out of desperation to bully and threaten others who are exposing their sinister secessionist propaganda.

Muslim mob attacks on Kashmiri Pandits on 30th anniversary of the genocide:

One of the most ironical events that took place at Shaheen Bagh was Islamists and left-wing propagandists joining hands to remember the 30th anniversary of the greatest tragedies in the history of the country – The Kashmiri Pandit genocide.

The ‘Jashn-e-Shaheen’ programme was organised by certain dolt individuals, who claimed themselves to be Kashmiri Pandits, to remember the tragic event. The ‘protestors’ had even invited Kashmiri Pandits to attend the programme. However, anti-CAA protesters attacked the Kashmiri Pandits at Shaheen Bagh on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley.

Upon hearing about the programme, Kashmiri Pandits had made up their minds to visit the site in order to demand that they support their right to return as well. When Kashmiri Pandits reached the place and started raising slogans of ‘Justice for Kashmiri Pandits’,  Muslim protesters attacked Kashmiri Pandits.

The Muslim protesters were reportedly upset with the slogans chanted by the Pandits and argument erupted between the groups which soon escalated into a fisticuff. One Muslim protester told the other group that ‘the entire country wants justice, why only for Kashmiri Pandits?’

A day later, an event commemorating the 30 years of exodus of Kashmiri Hindus organised at Hindu College of Delhi University was disrupted by left-wing goons, who didn’t allow a girl student Deepika Sharma from reading a letter by a former student belonging to a Kashmiri Pandit family.

Read- If we talk about Kashmir Hindus exodus, we are labeled Islamophobe: DU student who was shouted down by left-wing goons

The so-called ‘anti-CAA protests’ at the Shaheen Bagh which was supposed to be a ‘peaceful protest’ never turned out to be one. Instead, it became another platform for the ultra left-wing secessionists and Islamists to push their anti-India agenda and create anarchy in the country ahead of the Delhi elections.

Interestingly, all the mentioned incidents never made it to any mainstream media, which explains the dangerous nexus between the media ecosystem and the anti-India brigade that exists in the country.

With Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of the Shaheen Bagh openly admitting that the real intention of the protests is to divide the country and to seek another partition by separating north-east from the rest of the country, the arguments by certain section of the media that the protests are peaceful and organic, intended to fight the discriminatory Citizenship Amendment Act does not hold any value.

From The Wire to everything else, the Anatomy of an Islamist: Into the mind of Sharjeel Imam, mastermind of Shaheen Bagh

The EndGame of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act has become evident after the mastermind of the Shaheen Bagh protests revealed his intentions of cutting off the North East from the rest of India. Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind, also happens to be a columnist at The Wire. If one had read his eulogy of Jinnah that was published on The Wire, then he or she wouldn’t have been surprised with the path he has chosen for himself.

Sharjeel Imam can be heard saying in the viral video, “If five lakh Muslims are organized then we can cut off the North-east from the rest of India. If we cannot do so permanently, then at least we can do it for months. Our responsibility is to cut Assam from India, only then will the Government will hear our voice. If we have to help Assam then we will have to cut Assam from the rest of India.”

More disturbingly, he speaks of isolating Northeast India by blocking the Chicken’s Neck. The Chicken’s Neck is a narrow stretch of land of about 22 kilometres located in West Bengal, that connects the northeastern states to the rest of India, with Nepal and Bangladesh lying on either side of the corridor. Thus, Sharjeel has made his intentions very clear, he wants a Civil War in the country and ultimately, another partition.

Before we speak of his article published on The Wire, we need to focus on some of the extremely problematic posts he has made on Facebook. It would give our readers some clue into how Sharjeel Imam thinks. First, there’s the usual apologia for Yakub Memon and Afzal Guru that we have come to expect from Radical Muslims. According to them, executing two dreaded Islamic terrorists is valid grounds for Muslims to lose their faith in the country.

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook profile

Then, there is the justification for the Pulwama Terror Attack. Again, while it is true that sensible people would find this rhetoric extremely troubling, the justification for terrorism is a regular feature of the mainstream media. And Sharjeel Imam, here, is no different. He also accuses the USA, Israel and India of Islamophobia because the three countries are not willing to entertain justifications for terrorism.

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook profile

With regards to the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, Sharjeel’s rhetoric is akin to the rhetoric peddled by the likes of Shehla Rashid and others who have continuously prevented ‘secular’ parties from claiming that these are ‘secular’ protests. Like others, Sharjeel, too, exhorts Muslims to stop liberals from ‘hijacking’ what are essentially Muslim protests.

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook Profile

Now, we shall elaborate on the really problematic aspects of his ideology. It is pertinent to mention here that Sharjeel Imam is a student of Modern Indian History at Jawaharlal Nehru University. The most concerning aspect of his ideology is the fact that he places Jinnah in the context of India in the 21st century. He says about Jinnah, “The more I read Jinnah Papers, the more I realize that almost all of Jinnah’s political career was spent as the leader of a minority community, organising the community against odds, and against what he considered as the Hindu revivalist forces of his time, which intended to monopolize power after British left.”

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook Profile

Sharjeel continues, “Seventy years later, the Muslims and other minorities of India know too well what he meant. In other words, Jinnah who was an Indian Muslim for the first 71 of the 72 years of his life, is infinitely more relevant for the besieged Indian Muslim minority than for Pakistani Muslims. In very specific ways, as an Indian Muslim politician fighting for minority rights, his methods, his arguments, his successes and his failures are lessons for us.”

Sharjeel Imam goes on to assert that Indian Muslims should study Jinnah in order to understand the myth of ‘Secular Congress’. This is extremely problematic rhetoric. Sharjeel hasn’t limited himself to praising Jinnah in the manner in which Mani Shankar Aiyar of the Congress party praises Jinnah. From his portrayal of Jinnah, it is clear that he wants Indian Muslims to emulate Jinnah and seize power in the country.

Read: “An enemy community was foisted upon the Muslims after Independence”: Shaheen Bagh mastermind Sharjeel Imam reveals real-agenda behind CAA protests

Where his thoughts about Jinnah become really clear is his article published on The Wire. From his eulogy of Jinnah on The Wire, it is evident that Sharjeel does not find any fault with Jinnah’s conduct that led to the partition of the country. He does not even believe that partition was necessarily a bad thing. He says, “In order to demystify Jinnah and to resolve such contradictions, a fuller discussion of Partition should have been a part of our educational setup. However, it has been made impossible to know such a historic figure by attributing violence of Partition to him. This as an attempt by Congress to hide its failures to accommodate the genuine Muslim demands and aspirations for political proportional representation.”

Sharjeel did not stop there of course. He says that the ‘questions’ raised by Jinnah “are just the starting point of a larger debate which will inevitably take place again and again, as the situation of Indian Muslims is made to worsen.” He believes that Jinnah led a righteous struggle to protect Indian Muslims from Hindu rule. Also, Sharjeel goes to great lengths to prove that Jinnah was a leader of Indian Muslims. He says, “Indian Muslims, despite having been indoctrinated for generations now, retain some memory of Partition and Jinnah. For many of them, Jinnah is the author of Partition and yet one of the greatest leaders of “Muslim India” in the last century, who made the Muslim League into a national party by mobilising millions of Muslims across British India.”

He states further, “Jinnah’s communalism is positive communalism as discussed above, and need not be understood through the contemporary meaning of the word. He did not believe that India was a nation, as is shown by the frequent use of the term ‘continent’ as well as ‘subcontinent’. He was merely representing one community in this grand ocean of communities, and in this process, he was trying to secure rights for all numerically inferior communities.”

Read: It’s official: Endgame of Shaheen Bagh protest is second partition of India. Listen to what mastermind and The Wire columnist says

Sharjeel adds, “Jinnah argued that it does not matter if we are 15% or 25%, unless we receive safeguards, they have all the resources to monopolise power. In other words, the Muslim majority provinces chose to secede rather than stay in a Hindu-dominated centralised India, as they saw no other option. Hence Partition is not their responsibility, it is their compulsion by the conditions created by Congress.”

Lastly, according to Sharjeel, “Jinnah raised questions which are still relevant. As the largest religious minority in the world, Indian Muslims, are one of the major victims of majoritarian democracy. It is the political struggle of these hundreds of millions of besieged Muslims which will define the meaning of plural democracy for the coming centuries.” He ends the article with the words, “The AMU portrait of Jinnah must not go. If anything, we need thousands more.”

Thus, it is fairly obvious by now that Sharjeel Imam wishes to replicate what Jinnah achieved in 1947. It is also clear that he considers Jinnah as an Indian Muslim who became disillusioned with politics in the country and thus embarked upon a righteous quest to partition India along religious lines. What’s really troubling here is the fact that a widely read Indian media outlet provided a platform to such an individual to spread his propaganda.

Questions must be asked about the mainstream media and intellectual elite who have provided cover to such individuals to run their propaganda. It also shows that the liberal class can be fooled by a Jihadi if he is good enough with words. The manner in which Sharjeel has eulogized Jinnah and portrayed his Jihad against India as a righteous struggle to protect the interests of Muslims should have been the first sign that he is an extremely dangerous individual. However, since he was able to cloak his bigotry in fanciful words, Sharjeel was given great respect by the liberal fraternity. It only serves to demonstrate how gullible the liberal establishment is.

Furthermore, the liberal establishment should at least now stop to reconsider the danger that their rhetoric poses to peace in the country. The love for Jinnah, the justifications for Islamic Terrorism in Kashmir, the whitewashing of Yakub Memon and Afzal Guru, liberals should at least now realize that they are only furthering the interests of Radical Islam by peddling such extremely dubious rhetoric. The liberal establishment should also realize what their whitewashing of history and peddling narratives of Islamophobia without any shred of evidence has led to. It has led to a situation where dangerous individuals like Sharjeel Islam are using the cover their rhetoric provides in order to further the cause of Radical Islam.

Read: ‘Jinnah wali Azadi’ slogans raised at Shaheen Bagh: The true face of anti-CAA protests and what these slogans mean

It is also pertinent to mention here that Sharjeel Imam’s rhetoric eulogizing Jinnah is textbook Pakistani propaganda. He is regurgitating the propaganda points that the Pakistani establishment makes. Sharjeel doesn’t once refer to the genocides that were committed by the Muslims in their pursuit of Pakistan, he doesn’t once mention the call for ‘Direct Action Day’ that led to the slaughter of innumerable Hindus. He conveniently ignores the genocide of Bengali Hindus that Pakistan committed in 1971. All of this was Jinnah’s tree yielding fruits. And yet, Sharjeel doesn’t once refer to them and continues to whitewash his legacy while demonizing the Congress party.

There is a certain kind of truth that only radicals like Sharjeel Imam are capable of saying. It is the king of truth that liberals try to whitewash for the cause of ‘secularism’. Where Sharjeel Imam really distinguished himself, prior to his recent call for civil war, is when he declared in a Facebook post that Muslims did not choose India due to ideals of ‘secularism’. He said, and it is true, that Muslims remained in India due to their property and other reasons.

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook Profile

The above Facebook post from September 2019 is the biggest slap on the face of the likes of Asaduddin Owaisi who like to boast about how they chose ‘secular’ India over Islamic Pakistan. Imagine if a BJP politician had said such a thing. The entire liberal establishment would have nailed him to a cross. And here we have Sharjeel Imam who is provided a platform by The Wire and the liberal establishment which have helped the mastermind of the Shaheen Bagh protests at every turn by painting these protests as ‘secular’ and about saving the constitution.

Sharjeel Imam has also flaunted the fact that Indian Muslims cheer for the Pakistan cricket team. He sees nothing wrong with it and, in fact, exhorts Muslims to not be on the defensive about it. Most conspicuously, however, he says that growing up, he had great knowledge about Saeed Answar but did not have much idea about Saurav Ganguly. He asks his audience to figure out the reason behind it.

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook Profile

The evidence of his bigotry is abundant in his Facebook posts. In another Facebook post, Sharjeel denigrates Idol-Worship and calls it ‘Shirk’. He also insults polytheism, the form of religiosity most Hindus subscribe to, by using it as an insult. He equates atheism, secularism, humanism, even nationalism, to Shirk.

Source: Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook Profile

Thus, what is clear from Sharjeel Imam’s Facebook posts and his eulogy of Jinnah is that he doesn’t see any difference between Pakistani and Indian Muslims. He equates Nationalism to ‘Shirk’ because the Ummah transcends national boundaries. He asks Indian Muslims to not be ashamed of celebrating Pakistan’s cricket team because he believes it is natural for Indian Muslims to identify themselves more with Pakistan than with India. In fact, he encourages Indian Muslims to feel that way. At the most fundamental level, Sharjeel Imam sees Jinnah as an Indian Muslim who revolted against Hindus in order to create the Islamic State of Pakistan. He sees Jinnah’s Jihad as a righteous struggle for the protection of Muslim interests and he believes the ‘oppressed’ Muslims of India should tread a similar path.

Let this not be forgotten. The liberal establishment helped a Radical Islamist like Sharjeel Imam achieve his objective perfectly. While the Liberal Establishment accuses ordinary BJP voters of being fascists, they are the ones who collaborated with someone who whitewashed a Jihadist who was responsible for the death of millions and millions of Hindus.

Sharjeel Imam has been at the forefront of the anti-CAA protests from the very beginning. In a video that had gone viral on social media by the 17th of December, he could be seen inciting Muslims to do ‘Chakkajam’ in Delhi and wherever they have sufficient numbers. He called for Muslims to bring entire cities to a halt. “There are over 30% urban Muslims in UP. Do you have no shame at all? Why cannot you do Chakkajam in UP? The area in Bihar where I am from, the rural Muslim population is 6% while the urban Muslim population is 24%. Indian Muslims mostly live in cities. So it is upon you. You can bring your cities to a halt. If anyone asks you not to, disown them” he was heard saying in the viral video.

There is another aspect that needs to be investigated here. A thorough investigation needs to be conducted into the extent of the collusion, if there was any, between Sharjeel Imam and the students of Jamia who gave a call for Jihad. As we have reported earlier, days before violence erupted in the national capital, the students Barkha Dutt labelled ‘Shero’ gave a call for violent Jihad. While Sharjeel Imam eulogized the man responsible for the partition of the country, the Jamia Jihadans eulogized the men responsible for the Moplah massacre which resulted in the slaughter of hundreds and thousands of Hindus. Like Sharjeel, one of them did express great grief at the execution of Yakub Memon.

The role of the media also needs to be investigated amidst the current unrest. Slogans such as ‘Hinduon se Azadi‘ and yet, they were whitewashed the media. Slogans of ‘Jinnah Wali Azadi‘ were raised at the Shaheen Bagh protests and still, these protests were painted as secular. It needs to be investigated whether the Liberal Media is doing so due to their ideological affinity towards Radical Islam or whether there are more sinister reasons behind it.

The role of politicians needs to be investigated as well. AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was spotted with Sharjeel Imam, it also needs to be mentioned that Amanatullah himself is accused of inciting riots. He had created ruckus outside Delhi police demanding the release of a 22-year-old Muslim youth named Furkan who is accused of instigating riots in Jamia Millia University in December. There is every indication of a grand conspiracy here. And as had said earlier, this is truly the Khilafat 2.0.

Education reformer Sonam Wangchuk thanks Narendra Modi government for considering his proposal to declare Ladakh UT as Schedule VI area

One of the leading Indian engineers, education reformists and innovator, Sonam Wangchuk yesterday took to Twitter to express his gratitude for Tribal Minister Arjun Munda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for considering to declare the Union Territory of Ladakh as a protected area under Schedule VI of the constitution.

Earlier, Wangchuk had uploaded a video on social media website Facebook, raising concerns for the need to preserve the culture and identity of people residing in the Union Territory of Ladakh following the central government’s decision of abrogating Article 370 and the subsequent bifurcation of the state into two union territories- Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Allaying Wangchuk’s concerns, the Tribal Minister Arjun Munda had sent a letter dated December 24, 2019, informing him that he has sent a proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs to consider the declaration of the Union Territory of Ladakh as Schedule VI area.

The Constitution of India provides special provisions for the administration of the tribal-dominated areas. As of now, some areas in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram are designated as “Tribal Areas” as per article 244 and 6th Schedule which is technically different from 5th Schedule. Both Schedule 5 and Schedule 6 deals with the dominance of tribal people. While executive powers of the union extend in Scheduled areas with respect to their administration in 5th schedule; the 6th schedule areas remain within executive authority of the state.

After receiving the letter signed by Tribal minister Arjun Munda, Wangchuk expressed his thanks for heeding his demands of preserving the land, culture and environment of the deprived and vulnerable tribes. He also revealed that he was contemplating upon fasting unto death but the government’s favourable response to his demands has stopped it. Wangchuk thanked PM Modi and Union HM Amit Shah on behalf of the people of Ladakh for safeguarding the rights of the susceptible tribal population of the Union Territory.

Women’s college in Patna bans burqa in the campus, later withdraws the order after facing protests

JD Women’s College in Patna on Saturday withdrew an order banning burqa in the campus after facing backlash for the decision. Earlier in the day, the college had imposed a dress code on the campus which had said that students will not be allowed to wear the burqa in the college premises. In a notice signed by the college proctor and principal, students had been asked to comply with the new dress code.

The college administration also imposed a fine of 250 rupees in case anyone is found violating the dress rules.

The notice reads: “All students have to come to college in the prescribed dress code, every day except on Saturday. Students are prohibited from wearing ‘burqa’ in the campus and classrooms. A fine of Rs 250 will be imposed for the violation of the prescribed dress code”.

JD women's college in Bihar imposed dress code on students.
Earlier dress code issued by JD women’s college

After Students staged a protest against this ban, the college administration backed out its decision of imposing a dress code amounting to a burqa ban inside college premises.

Dr. Shyama Rai, Principal said, “The college has withdrawn its statement regarding burqa in its recent direction on dress code for students in the college”.

“We have prohibited the use of mobile phones in college. We have facilitated a particular zone for mobile usage. There is no blanket ban on wearing a burqa in the college premises but students could remove burqa in classrooms if they want. Our only motive is that there is the discipline in the college”, Rekha Mishra, a teacher of the college told ANI.

The updated notice issued by the College

The college said that although the ban on burqa has been lifted, the students will still have to come in uniforms and will be fined if they violate the dress code. “The students have to come in the prescribed dress code. If they do not come in the prescribed dress code then a fine of Rs250 will be slapped on them”, Dr Ashok Kumar Yadav, Head of Department of Sanskrit and Examination controller of JD women’s college said.

The college replaced the earlier notice with new notices enforcing dress code and restricting mobile phone use. The notice says that students will not be allowed to enter the college if they don’t come in prescribed uniforms, and bans use of mobile phones in the college campus. Mobile phones are allowed only in the zero zone, which is the temple premises and the common room. Rs 500 will be fined if anyone is found using phone outside the allowed zone.

Rahul Gandhi hails Bhima Koregaon violence as resistance after the case was transferred to NIA

On Saturday, the Union Home Ministry confirmed the transfer of the Bhima-Koregaon violence case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from the Maharashtra law enforcement. The case dates back to 2018 when a clash broke out between Dalits and Marathas near Pune in the village of Bhima Koregaon. One person had died during the scuffle.

The move of the central govt came after the Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra was considering forming an SIT into the case and possibly drop the charges against left-wing intellectuals charged in the case. After the case was transferred to NIA, former President of the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi, took to Twitter to vent out his frustration. He claimed that “Bhima Koregaon” is a symbol of “resistance” and labelled the NIA officers as “stooges.”

Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to glorify violence in Bhima Koregaon as some sort of a “resistance” mirrors the rhetoric often peddled by far-left activists on Twitter. Not only the case relates to a riot which caused the loss of life and property, the event that led to it was also questionable as the event was organised to celebrate the victory of British forces over Maratha forces.

The event by the name of “Elgar Parishad” was organised to commemorate the Battle of Bhima Koregaon of 1818, wherein the Peshwas fought against the between East India Company. In the war, an army of Dalit soldiers had fought under the British forces against the Peshwa, the reason for the celebration by Dalits. Violence erupted the following day of the event, when a large number of Dalits had gathered for the event and some of them had resorted to stone-pelting.

The Pune police had arrested a total of nine supposed “intellectuals” such as Sudha Bharadwaj, Rona Wilson, Surendra Gadling, Mahesh Raut, Shoma Sen, Arun Ferreira, Vernon Gonsalves, and Varavara Rao for inciteful speeches. An alleged letter recovered from Rona Wilson had revealed a sinister plan to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The police dubbed them as “Urban Naxals” and found that they were allegedly associated with the Communist Party of India (Maoist). The decision of the Union Government came at a time when the Maharashtra coalition government was pondering on whether to drop charges or set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the case.

The State Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh, claimed that the permission of the Maharashtra government was not sought before the transfer. He also called the move “unconstitutional.”

NCP Supremo, Sharad Pawar, had earlier written a note to the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackrey, asking for the formation of an SIT and suspension of officers involved in the case.

Devendra Fadnavis, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, hit back at the Maha Vikas Aghadi and stated that the coalition government had been demoralising the police for “the sake of votes.” He further added that even the Supreme Court ruled in favour of the police.

Jharkhand: Naxals kill employee of firm engaged in road construction, burn machines and issues orders to stop the work

Naxals killed a contractor’s clerk and set ablaze one JCB machine, one tractor and one motorcycle engaged in road construction work in Gomia’s Tutijharna under Gomia block in Bokaro in Jharkhand on Friday. The Munshi (clerk) was identified as Ramesh Manjhi, ASP Anjani Anjan said.

The incident took place between Gomia and Tutijharna villages, where the road construction work was going on under the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, the ASP said.

A group of armed Naxals stormed the construction site, located around 17 km from Gomia town and about 45 km from the Bokaro Steel City, and threatened the labourers to stop the work.

“The goons then set ablaze a JCB machine, one tractor, and a motorcycle after that they then dragged Ramesh Manjhi out and shot him dead. Later, Manjhi’s body, with his head smashed with an axe, was found near the construction site”, he said.

The Naxal terrorists took out diesel the JCB engaged in the road construction, poured the fuel on the earthmover and torched it, along with other two vehicles.

Before leaving the spot, the Maoists left posters saying that they are not pleased with the road construction and ordering the contractor to stop the work. The posters said that the state government was constructing the road to pave the way to loot minerals from the area.

The deceased, 60-year-old Ramesh Manjhi, is a native of Pindra village in Gomia Block of Bokaro district, and a relative of the contractor who had won the tender to build a road from Pindra to Tuti Jharna under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

Soon after getting information about the Naxal attack, security forces were rushed to the spot and the Manjhi’s body was brought to Tenughat for post-mortem. A search operation has been launched to trace the Naxals. Earlier, Naxals had burnt several vehicles and machines engaged in road construction between Gomia and Jhumra in the district.

Naxals have frequently tried to disrupt road construction works in the Bermo subdivision, by launching attacks on security forces and damaging the roads, and vehicles and machines used in the work, a senior police official had earlier said.

Team being sent to arrest him: SSP Aligarh says case lodged against Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of Shaheen Bagh and The Wire columnist

0

The SSP of Aligarh Police has confirmed that a case has been lodged against Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of Shaheen Bagh protests and The Wire columnist, for the seditious statements he made.

SSP of Aligarh said, “He made anti-national statements at AMU students protest on Jan 16. Based on the video of his speech, case registered. Team is being sent to arrest him”

The anti-CAA protests, especially at the Shaheen Bagh, which had turned rampantly communal, is now caught pushing dangerous secessionist agenda which aims for a second partition. A series of videos had gone viral on social media in which Sharjeel Imam, the chief co-ordinator of Shaheen Bagh protest and a The Wire columnist was seen instigating Muslims of the country to break India by cutting of North-east from the rest of the country. Interestingly, earlier, ‘Jinnah Wali Azadi’ slogans were raised at Shaheen Bagh which also pointed towards the main agenda of these anti-CAA protests, specifically at Shaheen Bagh, is the second partition of India.

In the video, Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind Of Shaheen Bagh ‘protests’ and The Wire columnist, while speaking to Muslim mobs, says, “Our main aim is to permanently cut Assam and North-east India from rest of India”.

He adds, “If 5 lakhs Muslims are organised then we can cut the North-east from rest of India. If we cannot do permanently, at least we can cut North-east from India for months. Our responsibility is to cut the Assam from India then Govt will hear our voice. If we have to help the Assam then we will have to cut the Assam from rest of India.”

Imam in the video, Imam further says that the non-Muslim population of the country should now stand with the demands of the Muslims. Inciting Muslims by spreading fake news, Imam says that Muslims are being discriminated through the Citizenship Amendment Act and are being put into a detention camp.

Shockingly, Imam continues his fear-mongering by claiming that Muslims are being killed in Bengal. “We need block Assam including the movement of Armed Forces and the supplies. Chicken Neck belongs to Muslims,” he claims.

“An enemy community was foisted upon the Muslims after Independence”: Shaheen Bagh mastermind Sharjeel Imam reveals real-agenda behind CAA protests

In a disconcerting video that emerged on Saturday, one of the co-organisers of the Shaheen Bagh protest, Sharjeel Imam, was seen instigating Muslims to flare up riots across the country. Addressing an audience, Sharjeel admitted that the protests happening across the country has communal undertones while exhorting Muslims to be a force to reckon with and shun secularism, that is responsible for the plight of Muslims for the last 70 years. Sharjeel also claimed that the Father of Nation- Mahatma Gandhi was the biggest fascist of the 20th century and the earliest enabler of the Hindu Rashtra.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkoiaxnbXcw]

Lashing out at the left and the CPI (M), Imam affirmed that these parties have always been against the Muslims and the wretched condition of Muslims in West Bengal and Kerala is testimony to it. He criticised CPI(M) as one of the most violent parties and claimed that the CPI(M) members who engage in violence absconded the JNU when the law enforcement agencies came in the University, leaving the innocent students to suffer the beatings.

“Left had never been with Muslims. Look at West Bengal and Kerala. They have staunchly fought against implementing Mandal commission. They were against reservations for Muslims. Backward Muslims were counted as Generals. For the last 70 years, they have stifled the growth of Muslims,” Imam said.

Sharjeel Imam said that Muslims should not fear that their movement will be called communal. He said Muslims should try to get non-Muslims to join the movement, but they should do so on the conditions of Muslims. ‘Now it is time to say to non-Muslims that if you sympathise with us, stand with us on our conditions. If you don’t agree with our condition, you are not sympathiser of Muslims,’ he asserted.

Read- It’s official: Endgame of Shaheen Bagh protest is second partition of India. Listen to what mastermind and The Wire columnist says

In addition, Imam laid bare the elaborate plan of the Islamists to severe Assam and the North East from the rest of India. He stated that Muslims should take control of Chicken Neck, a narrow stretch of land of about 22 kilometres located in the Indian state of West Bengal, that connects India’s northeastern states to the rest of India, so that Armed Forces cannot reach the North-East and the passage to Assam can be blocked.

“If 5 lakhs Muslims are organised then we can cut the North-east from rest of India. If we cannot do permanently, at least we can cut North-east from India for months. Our responsibility is to cut the Assam from India then Govt will hear our voice. If we have to help the Assam then we will have to cut the Assam from rest of India,” Imam said.

Making a shocking revelation, Sharjeel Imam said that the Muslims have gathered at Shaheen Bagh not for CAA, not to save the constitution. Many of the crowd don’t even know what is CAA and NRC. But now as Muslims have come onto the streets, they are charged, they must be incited further, he said. This is not about CAA, it is about long term injustice done against Muslims, he added.

In an oblique reference to ruinous riots, Imam said that if Muslims do not organise and respond in an unorganised way against this long term injustice, then nobody will save them. Calling upon the Muslims to stage an organised protest, Imam stated that since the people are out on streets against the citizenship law, Muslims should exploit this opportunity and not only educate the protestors on the controversial provisions of CAA, NRC but also about Nelli massacre and Enemy Property Act etc.

Read- Shaheen Bagh protests: Deep dive into how JNU ‘student’ and The Wire columnist Sharjeel Imam went from ‘let us burn Constitution’ to ‘saving it’

Alleging that both judiciary and executive have been prejudiced against Muslims, Imam contended that the judiciary and executive both were more impartial during the British rule than in independent India. “Muslims never got independence. After Independence, an Enemy community was foisted upon the Muslims,” he said.

Imam also alleged that the successive Indian governments after 1950 were much more colonial and biased against Muslims than the last 50 years of the British rule. “Compared to what came after 1950 has been clearly more colonial than the last 50 years of British colonial rule. We (Muslims) should say this without hesitation that we were put through a severe colonial rule after 1950,” Imam said.

Talking about the plan going forward, Imam exhorted the Muslims to create an “Intellectual cell” in which there should be no attachment towards Gandhi, Nation and such similar things and there should be clarity among the Muslims that these are their “enemies”. Imam also stated that the founder of the Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, was a moderate as opposed to extremist, as he is fancied in the historical context.

“We (Muslims) should all know that Gandhi was the biggest fascist of the 20th century. Who brought the concept of ‘Ram Rajya’ to the fore? Who converted the Congress party into a Hindu Party? Who floated the concept of moderate nationalism and extremist nationalism? Jinnah was a moderate nationalist,” Imam said.

The former JNU student excoriated past Muslim leaders, especially the Deobandi Muslim section for supporting Congress on the issue of Cow Protection. “The support of prominent Muslim leaders and Deobandi Muslim section for cow protection during the time of independence has proven to be a bane for the Muslims today. Unlike Deobandi, Barelvi Muslim section, which was often dismissed as British agents, firmly stood against the cow protection which was brought by Gandhi and Congress,” Imam said.

Imam also spoke against the “Nation of India”, calling it a “fascist project”. According to him, no intellectual can support the fascist idea of supporting the nation of India. He continued stating that an illusion has been created about this concept by the historians and Muslims should not buy into this notion. “The history of Indian Muslims has never been written. It won’t be written until we take the initiative of writing it. So far, our history has been distorted and it will continue to remain distorted till the history is written by these lackeys of Gandhi,” Imam said.

Criticising the month-long protests in Jamia, Imam said that students of Jamia are indulging in a futile exercise by protesting inside the university. Alluding students to foment anarchy in Delhi, he urged the students to hit the streets and canvass support for the cause from the residents of Delhi and bring the city to a “stop” instead of proceeding with this mindless protests inside the university.
