Radical Christian organisations in Russia threaten young businessman who embraced Hinduism and became a devoted Hindu

0

Russia is a country with population of slightly over 144 million. With the total number of Indians inhabiting this snowy wonderland amounting to 10,000 it’s clearly visible that Russia is not the best bet for Indians who want to settle abroad. In comparison to these tiny numbers the staggering 3.2 million Indians that reside in the United States is an unimaginable quantity. The reason for such a dull picture in Russia is the fact that the country is still on the path of opening up to the world and embracing people from the far off lands wholeheartedly.

Things become even more interesting when we talk about religion. It is an irony that the number of Hindus in Russia is 14 times more than the number of Indian citizens in Russia. It is indeed some really impressive statistics. We see this picture because 92 percent of these Hindus are citizens of Russia. Almost 140,000 Russians call themselves Hindus. It would be a grave mistake if the governments of both Russia, as well as India ignore these people. Incidents of the year 2018 that were highlighted in the international journals and happened around the figure of the leader of hinduism in Russia, Prakash, exist as the most abominable proof of the above stated lines.

The article above speaks of a very aggressive group of radical christians with the notorious Alexander Dvorkin at their head. Dvorkin is a Russian anti-cult activist who labels everything except Orthodox Christianity as sects and cults. He is infamous for slandering and attacking everything that is Hindu and even in the ball park of Hinduism. In the year 2011 he was the one to initiate the ban on the holy book of Bhagavad Gita. More recently in the beginning of the year 2017 Dvorkin’s effigy was burnt in front of the Russian Embassy in Delhi for attacking the family of Prakash. The matter was also discussed in the walls of the UN and the OSCE.

The more recent case of a Russian busenessman by the name Denis Stepanov illustrates an althogether different and very unsettling aspect of Dvorkin and his organisation. Denis was born in Russia, Moscow and now at the age of 35 years old is a young, energetic and promising enterpreneur. He owns a medical firm that works on the lines of improving trade relations between India and Russia. Success came to him at a very young age until it all changed 4 years ago. Denis officially became a Hindu and things went from excellent to horrible in no time. For Denis it all began with a clear interest towards Indian culture and Hinduism.

In the year 2016 he came in close contact with the Hindu scriptures that are available in Russian. After that in the end of the same year he decided to take on the life and path of a devoted Hindu. “It was the most beautiful moment of my life. At the same time I knew that this might effect my work and my business, knowing the harsh reality of minority religions in Russia”, mentions Denis. Business boomed for Denis in the beginning of the next year. The bad news for him though was going to come very soon. Dvorkin and his people had him on his radar for 4 months before showing their fangs and claws dipped in religious hatred and communal violence. “They started stalking me beginning from the February of the year 2017. It continued for about 3-4 months before one day they came to me while I was entering my house and threatened me to change my religion”, says Denis.

It did not stop there. The nightmare for Denis had just begun. In the month of November Denis had visitors wearing masks and carrying guns. These were not regular Russian goons or hooligans and they presented themselves as police officials. In addition to that they told Denis about their association with an organisation named RATSIRS and if he does not abdicate his rights of practicing Hinduism they will tell the government structures dealing with businesses to snatch away from him his wealth and the cumulative amount of his material investments. Goons dressed in police uniform created havoc in his office and even physically assaulted Denis. They ordered him to transfer money to RATSIRS’s accounts. Denis refused and they reiterated further threats to his life and health.

It is important to mention the fact that the Russian Orthodox Church controls and influences the people like Dvorkin directly and even labels them as heroes of the church for doing all the dirty work. Dvorkin has associates in the police departments, ministries and the federal anti monopoly bureau.

“I did my research and it was very much clear to me in a few days what was happening around me”, Denis claims. Dvorkin is the official president of RATSIRS, the organisation that was behind all the harassment mentioned above. Denis knew very well that the first thing he had to do was filing a complaint in the police. The mental torture of Denis continued through the use of gadgets and with the employment of disgusting tricks which cannot be mentioned here due to the extent of vile content which was being sent to Denis via SMS and calls. Dvorkin was now behind enterpreneurs whose only fault was being Hindu and aid they offered to build healthy trade between India and Russia.

Denis is confident that Dvorkin has started this commercial crusade against his group of companies because he does not want Hindus to be financially strong in a country where the majority population observes Orthodox Christianity. The aim of harassing young enterpreneurs like Denis is to extort the cash flow towards the coffers of Russian Orthodox Church. If the Christians see that Hindus can be successful it will send a negative message in terms of the church’s policy. This was made very clear to Denis in the summer of the year 2019.

“Dvorkin paid a bribe recently to the workers of the federal antimonopoly bureaue of Russia to destroy my livelihood completely”, conveys Denis. The situation for Denis is running out of hands but he is still fighting for his rights. The federal anti-monopoly bureau is threatening him to convert to Christianity and if he refuses they will extort money from him. There has been a public outburst with regards to the matter in the social media as another Russian Hindu activist Sergei Kevshin had highlighted the case of Denis in his letters.

Denis has promised to take hard action against Dvorkins organisation. He will write complaint letters and petitions to president Putin of Russia. The court hearing with the bureau is bound to take place on the 21st of January 2020. When Denis adopted Hinduism he also took with it a Hindu name — Hardas. He wants to keep this name. The name that is a symbol for the freedom of choice he is having. The name that is more important to him than anything else giving him never ending hope to continue this struggle

While Congress party keeps protesting against CAA, Congress govt in Rajasthan gives land at half prices to Pakistani migrants in the state

Though the Congress party has been vociferously opposing the amended Citizenship law and NRC, in fact, to the extent of instigating the Islamic mob which created havoc across India, its government in Rajasthan, surprisingly, have been allotting plots at half their market price (50 per cent discount) to Pakistani migrants in the state capital.

According to a report by The New Indian Express, the Jaipur Development Authority has revealed that about a hundred people who had been displaced from Pakistan have been issued allotment letters in the Khushar Extension Housing Scheme by Zonal  Office-9.

This initiative, which was a part the public welfare schemes announced by Rajasthan Congress, was executed in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Urban Development, Shanti Dhariwal. Expressing their happiness, the immigrants said that they’re very happy about it.

In fact, last month also the Congress government led by CM Ashok Gehlot in the state of Rajasthan had provided citizenship to eight such refugees from Sindh in Pakistan who fled fearing religious persecution.

Though CM Ashok Gehlot had refused to implement CAA and NRC in Rajasthan it is being believed that there is immense pressure being put on the Congress government by the Hindu migrants in the state to consider the implementation of the Act.

Read- Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 and the hypocrisy of the opposition parties

This double standard displayed by the Congress government in Rajasthan has attracted sharp criticism from the Opposition. BJP said Rajasthan government is standing against the CAA merely to oppose the Modi-led government at the Centre while they themselves are providing land to Pakistani refugees at cheap rates.

State BJP President Satish Poonia said: ‘‘This is another U-turn by the Gehlot Government. The Chief Minister should tell us whether he supports or opposes CAA. Their words and actions contradict each other.’’

The Congress party in the state has, however, been defending its action by maintaining that it is only fulfilling the genuine needs of Pakistani migrants who have already got Indian citizenship. They said that the opposition to the CAA- NRC will continue and they will not be implemented in Rajasthan.

Congress Spokesperson Archana Sharma remarked: ‘‘The identity of India is through its Constitution and we reject the CAA-NRC because those are opposed to our Constitution. Since we respect the Constitution, our government will not implement the divisive CAA-NRC in Rajasthan. But opposing CAA does not mean that we oppose Pakistani migrants who are in our state and have already got citizenship which they deserve.’’

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill became an act after it was passed by the Indian Parliament in December last year.

The new Act seeks to grant Indian citizenship to non-Muslim refugees who came from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan on or before December 31, 2014. It applies to those who were forced to seek shelter in India due to persecution on the ground of religion. It aims to protect such people from proceedings of illegal migration. The cut-off date for citizenship is December 31, 2014, which means the applicant should have entered India on or before that date. Moreover, those persecuted minorities from these 3 countries who come to India after 2014 using lehal means will be granted citizenship after staying in India for 5 years, instead of normal requirement of 11 years.

Were the trees in Navi Mumbai less liberal than the trees of Aarey colony?

The big danger with fake activism is that it buries real activism by people with genuinely good intentions. In India, where people often express cynicism about political parties and the so called system, there is a genuine role for people’s movements. Especially when it comes to issues such as climate change and protecting the environment; where private incentives may often be at odds with the common good.

Late last year, there was a very large mobilization of “activists” who wanted to save a handful of trees in Mumbai’s Aarey colony.

Untitled
Headlines when trees were cut in Aarey colony for construction of Mumbai metro shed

People putting their bodies on the line. Sobbing protesters being dragged away by police.

What for? Because a few trees have to be cut to make space for Mumbai Metro? Seriously?

We know that building good public transport infrastructure is one of the best ways to reduce carbon footprints and save the environment. That is why the world over, climate activists advocate for more of this.

But our activists continued to militate against Mumbai Metro. All attempts to reason with them failed. Like a man who is pretending to sleep, they could not be woken up. Here are some examples of the kind of rhetoric that accompanied the protests.

Untitled

Untitled
Cutting of Aarey trees referred to as ‘massacre’

The trees were humanized, the whole exercise described with expressions like “massacre” and often mixed with vicious rumor mongering over the Citizenship Amendment Bill. All sense of reality was lost.

And then came the change of government in Maharashtra. And now this.

Untitled
Trees being cut for gold course in Navi Mumbai

According to the Hindustan Times, the permission for cutting these trees was given on Dec 11, 2019. By then, I suppose those who cared so much about saving Aarey forest had achieved their real dream.

Now, it is for competent authorities to weigh the environmental impact of any proposed project and give permissions accordingly. It is not for me to comment on that. What stands out however, is the hypocrisy of so called activists.

Were the trees in Navi Mumbai less equal or perhaps less liberal than the trees of Aarey colony?

For what it’s worth, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has found that golf courses consume a lot of resources and pose serious risks to the environment.

Untitled
UNEP on golf tourism

Now, here is what it all looks like to a common person such as myself.

I see that the Devendra Fadnavis government wanted to cut trees so that there would be a metro for common people. And liberals said NO.

I see that Maharashtra now has a ‘secular’ government, supported by Congress. Now someone wants to cut down hundreds of trees for a golf course. But liberals are saying YES.

The government changed and the priorities of activists changed as well. Just like we suspected, it seems that activists will oppose anything as long as it is done by a BJP government. And they will turn a blind eye to almost anything as long as it is done under one of their favorite ‘secular’ governments.

There is a class war aspect to this which is equally important. Yes, there is a class war, but only the liberal elite is fighting it. Against the common people of the country.

A metro would cater to the daily needs of the common Indian, making their life just a bit easier. A golf course? That’s the leisure of the rich.

This is the most regressive mentality possible. You deprive those at the bottom of the ladder, those with the smallest carbon footprints, of a slight increase in their standard of living. You take those gains and cater to the hobbies of those who consume the most.

Such an attitude of the liberal elite is not new. Read this old India Today article in which  filmmaker and environmentalist Pradeep Kishen, who also happens to be Arundhati Roy’s husband, passionately argues against the building of a new hotel somewhere in the Panchmarhi Hills in Madhya Pradesh. The only twist? Pradeep Kishen himself owned a bungalow in the area!

A hotel would probably have brought in middle class people trying to have fun on a budget. Then what would happen to the elite on a vacation retreat?

So here’s what the liberal elite is telling us: The finer things in life are exclusively reserved for their private enjoyment. You can’t have it because you are not elite.

Their private enjoyment is important. Your standard of living is not!

This effort to preserve class privilege is now at the core of liberal politics in India and perhaps all around the world. Have you noticed how Indian liberals have a great eye for the “privilege” of others, including the freshly minted concept of “Hindu privilege?” Even though Hindus have been victims in India for around 800 years.

The only privilege that liberals cannot see is that of one single forward caste family that has run the country for six decades!

One big thing to remember here is that the clock is ticking when it comes to the environment. Unless we are able to identify fake activism, we risk losing valuable time. This time the stakes are really high.

These intellectuals betrayed the nation, ate up the system like “parasites”, WB BJP chief attacks “Hum Kagaz Nahi Dikhayenge” gang

In a press conference held on 15th January, BJP MP from West Bengal Dilip Ghosh took a dig at a few prominent Bengali intellectuals who were up in arms against CAA and NRC. Ghosh is the incumbent President of the BJP’s West Bengal unit.

His comment came at the backdrop of a contentious viral video wherein the said intellectuals could be seen repeating “Kagoj Amra Dekhabo Na”, which means “we will not show papers.”The video in question is the Bengali adaption of comedian Varun Grover’s Anti-CAA anthem “Hum Kaghaz Nahin Dikhayenga.”

On being asked by a journalist about his opinion on the video, he said that there existed a possibility that some of these Communist-backed intellectuals might not have papers. He alleged that this rhetoric of “not showing papers” had brought disrepute to India in the world.

He asked the intellectuals whether they could get away with not showing documents at airports and railway stations. He labelled the cabal as “nonsensical” and “treacherous” for not understanding the importance of procuring valid identification cards as and when required. He inquired whether they enter theatres through the back door because of their stance to not identify themselves.

He conceded that several people lack valid documents and would be apprehended by law enforcement authorities in due course of time. Ghosh also implied that such misleading narratives do not affect the party but expose their vicious agenda to the people.

He said that those intellectuals had betrayed the nation, pocketed the country’s resources at the expense of the poor, ate up the system like “parasites”, and lacked the spine to stand for “truth,” out of loyalty to their political masters. Lastly, Dilip Ghosh pointed out that shouting “Azadi” on the road might fetch one newspaper headlines but do not do anything good to society.

This was not the first time that Dilip Ghosh, the firebrand politician, has lambasted against the Anti-CAA lobby. It is well-established now that Ghosh minces no words while speaking his mind.

Those who oppose Veer Savarkar should spend two days in Andaman Jail: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut

Firing a fresh salvo at its alliance partner in Maharashtra – NCP and the Congress, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said those who criticise Veer Savarkar will only realise his sacrifice if they spend two days at the cell in Andaman Cellular Jail where Savarkar was imprisoned.

Speaking to the media, Shiv Sena RS member Sanjay Raut launched an attack on the Congress party, especially Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi for ridiculing nationalist hero Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

“Those who oppose Veer Savarkar, they may be from any ideology or party, let them stay for just two days at the cell in Andaman cellular jail where Savarkar was lodged. Only then will they realize his sacrifice and his contribution to the nation,” said Sanjay Raut.

Raut’s delayed reaction come after a huge controversy that had erupted across the country following Rahul Gandhi’s cheap dig at Veer Savarkar. The controversy began first after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi refused to withdraw his December 2019 “rape in India” remark claiming that his surname was Gandhi, not Savarkar.

Congress, Shiv Sena’s new alliance partner, has on several occasions attempted to malign Veer Savarkar’s contributions to India’s freedom by branding him as a “loyal colonialist”.

Earlier this month, a group affiliated to the Congress had distributed booklets titled Veer Savarkar, Kitne Veer?’ in one of its workshops. The booklet had claimed that co-founder of Hindu Mahasabha Veer Savarkar had a physical relationship with Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin. Both Shiva Sena and NCP both urged the Congress to withdraw the booklet.

The BJP, which is the opposition party in the state had slammed the ruling coalition in the state for vilifying Veer Savarkar. Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had slammed Shiv Sena for its silence over the anti-Savarkar tirade by Congress and had said that the “Tiger has turned into a cat”.

Of late, Shiv Sena has inadvertently rubbed its alliance partner Congress on several occasions. Just two days back, Sanjay Raut had triggered a massive controversy when he revealed that former PM Indira Gandhi used to visit Karim Lala, one of the three most powerful underworld dons of Mumbai. Raut’s remark had sparked massive outrage from the Congress party following which he was forced to retract his statement.

Kanpur horror: Out on bail rape accused Mehboob, Jaamil, and others kill mother of rape victim, video viral

0

In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old woman whose daughter was allegedly raped by a group of men in 2018 was beaten to death at Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur by out-on-bail rape accused. Reportedly, the woman died at a hospital in Kanpur on Friday evening, a week after she was attacked by the accused. The woman’s sister is also in serious condition.

The four of the six murder accused – Abid, Mintu, Mehboob, Chaand Babu, Jaamil and Firoz were arrested in 2018 by the UP Police for molesting the 13-year-old girl in Kanpur. However, they were released on bail by a local court.

On January 9, the four men had barged into the home of the minor girl and asked the woman’s family to withdraw the case. As the family of the victim refused to withdraw the case, they were brutally attacked by the four accused. The mother of the victim had sustained severe injuries.

The spine-chilling video of the attack had surfaced on social media in which the four men were caught beating the woman and her family members. Following this, the police had registered an FIR and arrested four men who were responsible for the assault on January 9.

As per the deceased’s family, two local goons Mehfooz and Babu had kidnapped the deceased’s 13-year-old daughter in broad daylight and had tried to rape her. A case under the POCSO Act was registered against the two and they were trying to threaten the family against testifying in the matter. The incident took place in Chakeri area near Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

“There was a dispute between the accused and the victim’s family while the accused were drinking liquor. The accused along with other people attacked the two witnesses of the molestation case,” Kanpur SSP Anant Deo said to the ANI.

“In the attack, a woman was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital. After spending over a week in the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries on Friday. Police arrested the four people,” the police officer further said.

“In 2018, they were arrested in a rape case and now they were out on bail. The rape victim’s family had complained that her brothers drink alcohol with the accused, which led to the scuffle between the two parties. She battled for her life for seven to eight days after being beaten up by the accused and today she has passed away,” Kanpur DGP told media on Friday.

The horrific incident comes months after a similar incident that occurred in Unnao where the rape accused had killed the rape-victim by setting her on fire. The 23-year-old rape survivor was set on fire by pouring kerosene on her by five men, including the duo who are accused of raping her a year ago. The rape victim had succumbed to injuries at the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.

The rape accused and his friends had dragged the woman outside of her village, took her into the fields and doused her in petrol before setting her on fire. She was raped by the five men in March while the police could manage to arrest only three of them and two others were still on the run.

Reportedly, the Unnao rape victim survivor was going to Raebareli with her parents to pursue the case at 4 am on Wednesday when she was attacked. The survivor was immediately rushed to the district hospital and then referred to Civil Hospital in Lucknow after her condition deteriorated.

VHP appeals to Modi government to adopt Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas model for proposed Ram Mandir: Reports

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has urged the Central Government to adopt the model suggested by the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas for the proposed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, as this would speed up its construction, reports Economic Times.

According to the reports, the design of the Lord Ram temple has been done nearly 30 years ago in 1989 when it was placed in the Kumbh in Prayagraj. The construction of slabs for building the temple was also started then and the work of carving stone slabs and pillars has been mostly completed.

“This model of the temple has been there for nearly 30 years — since 1989 when it was placed in the Kumbh in Prayagraj — and it has reached lakhs of homes already,” VHP vice-president Champat Rai told ET. The VHP had set up the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas to prepare for the groundwork for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

“A majority of the slabs have been carved already over the last two decades according to this model of the temple and they are revered by the people,” he added.

According to VHP, adopting any new model by the trust will mean starting the temple’s work from the beginning and that would cause a delay in the of construction taking many years. The Nyas’ model of the temple has two-storeys, going 128-feet-high and 269-feet-long, is “grand and optimum”, he said.

The design of Lord Ram temple and expanse over the 67 acres of government-acquired land in Ayodhya will also determine the location of a proposed 251-metre statue of Lord Ram in the town. The proposed Lord Ram statue is pegged to be the tallest statue in the world.

A senior Uttar Pradesh government official told ET that the idea was to create a dedicated corridor for pilgrims from the temple complex till the statue on the banks of River Saryu and the statue was expected to be completed in 2022.

Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has approved Rs 667 crore for the project under which the statue, a digital museum and an interpretation centre would come up. This project is being modelled on the Sardar Patel statue project in Gujarat.

The Prime Minister is expected to lay the foundation stone of both the Ram Temple and Ram Statue projects in Ayodhya on Ram Navami on April 2, 2020 and the construction is expected to start soon after. Two senior central government officials have visited Ayodhya last week and one senior official each from the Centre and UP.

Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas chief Nritya Gopal Das may be named the president of the proposed trust, while a serving IAS officer from the UP government could become its CEO.

The planned corridor between the Ram Temple and the statue could be in the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi. The work on the Rs 350 crore dedicated corridor from the Kashi Vishwanath temple to the ghats commenced on Wednesday. The PM had laid the foundation stone of the Varanasi project last year.

In a historic judgment on November 9, the Supreme Court had established that the Hindus have a right on the entire 67-acre Ram Janmabhoomi and ordered the construction of a Ram temple by a government trust at the disputed site in Ayodhya. It had also granted an alternate 5-acre land to the Muslims to build their Masjid in the Hindu holy town.

Rajiv Gandhi was not the only one who was killed in the blasts: When kin of those who died along with him were upset with Sonia Gandhi’s ‘forgiveness’

When former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in a suicide bomb attack on 21 May, 1991 at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, 13 other people had lost their lives. When Rajiv Gandhi’s family, including Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi, chose to ‘forgive’ the convicts and said they had no objection if the killers are released, the kin of those who had died along with Rajiv Gandhi were not too happy with the move. How could Sonia Gandhi or her children decide on behalf of family members of 13 others who lost their lives along with Rajiv Gandhi?

When the Tamil Nadu government recommended release of seven life convicts in the case in 2018, the family members had met Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit and urged him to not give consent to the same. “All we received of my mother were pieces wrapped in a blood-stained blanket. The attack on Rajiv Gandhi, orphaned me and my siblings. 12 other families suffered because of it. But politicians don’t seem to consider the trauma we have been through. They want to release the murderers for their own political gains and we all condemn this,” S Abbas, whose mother died along with Rajiv Gandhi in the blast had told The News Minute in 2018.

Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination could not have been seen in isolation. Sonia Gandhi or family members of Rajiv Gandhi taking decision on killers of former Prime Minister who also killed other people in the same blast, just show how for the Nehru-Gandhi family members, the sentiments of common man do not matter. They may have forgiven the killers of former Prime Minister, but what about the kin of those who also lost their lives? The ones who had to struggle for years after having lost their loved ones in the blast?

Now, Supreme Court lawyer Indira Jaising has suggested that December 16, 2012 Delhi gang-rape victim Nirbhaya’s mother should also follow footsteps of Sonia Gandhi and forgive the rapists who brutally raped her daughter. The hanging of the four rapists was again delayed and postponed from 22nd January to 1st February after two convicts filed a mercy plea. An exasperated Asha Devi had said how her daughter’s brutal rape has become a political tool for politicians. However, Jaising, took this opportunity to give moral science lecture to Asha Devi instead.

Anti-CAA riots: Delhi police urges ‘protestors’ at Shaheen Bagh to clear the blockage to help residents, school children

On Friday, the Delhi Police appealed to the agitators at Shaheen Bagh to unblock the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch which is causing huge inconvenience to the residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region.

Following the failure of violent protests perpetrated by the Muslim mobs on the streets of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia University, few women belonging to Muslim community sat on a protest at Shaheen Bagh and blocked bus stop and a highway causing severe problems to the public of Delhi. They have been frequently joined by media persons and various Congress leaders who have stood in solidarity with the protesting women.

The protestors have blocked the roads illegally near Shaheen Bagh from past many days as a mark of protest against the CAA causing huge traffic jams in and around Delhi. In order to ease the flow of traffic and prevent any future violent riots at Shaheen Bagh, the Delhi police are taking necessary steps and have urged the protestors to leave the place.

“We appeal to agitators at Road No 13-A, Shaheen Bagh to understand the sufferings, the complete highway blockade is causing to the residents of Delhi and NCR, senior citizens, emergency patients and school-going children,” a police statement said.

“We again urge protesters to cooperate and clear the road in the larger public interest,” Delhi Poli stated.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had also declared that it will not be forcefully evicting anti-CAA protestors from Shaheen Bagh. The statement was issued after the Delhi High Court had directed the police to look into the traffic restrictions on the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch.

Delhi High Court had asked the police to keep law and order situation and public interest in mind while evicting protesters at Shaheen Bagh to clear roads at the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch.

The Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch is a key link between Noida and Delhi and has been closed by the Noida Traffic Police in view of the ongoing protests.

Last week, the residents of  Sarita Vihar in New Delhi held a protest on Sunday demanding the removal of barricades and blockage on road number 13A between Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj, in order to ease traffic movement. The blockage of roads and bus stop is causing huge convenience to the local residents and had urged the Delhi police to clear the roads.

The Shaheen Bagh protests were actually passed as an organic protest in a bid to ‘save the constitution’. However, the masks began to fall off as it was revealed that it was all staged. We had reported on how this was a carefully crafted plan to humanise the violent protestors as a conversation in a WhatsApp group of JNU students right after the Ayodhya verdict gave a clearer picture of how the Shaheen Bagh ‘organic’ protests blocking the highway has culminated.

The protests at Shaheen Bagh have turned blatantly communal as it was exposed just a few days back with protestors shouting slogans of “Jinnah Wali Azadi”, exposing the claims of “liberal-secular” media, who had earlier passed of these protests as peaceful. Later, another Hinduphobic poster came up at the protest site in which the Hindu Swastika was depicted wrongfully and shown crushed by Hindu women in Burkha.

‘Historian’ Ramchandra Guha rebels against the dynasty, questions why Kerala voted fifth generation dynast Rahul Gandhi to parliament

Ramchandra Guha, a Congress loyalist and also a popular fiction writer masquerading as a historian, seems to have got upset with the first family of the Congress party as he has now launched a rebellion against the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty.

On Friday, Ramchandra Guha, known for his ‘Gandhi-fiction’ surprised many Congress loyalists as he attacked Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, particularly Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking at Kozhikode in Kerala, Guha said that a “fifth-generation dynast” Rahul Gandhi has no chance in Indian politics against a “hard-working and self-made” Narendra Modi and expressed disappointment that Kerala did a disastrous thing by electing the Congress leader to Parliament.

Guha, who is known for his love for the Congress party, reportedly said that the reduction of the Congress from a “great party” during the freedom movement to a “pathetic family firm” now is one of the reasons for the ascendency of ‘Hindutva and jingoism’ in India.

“I have nothing against Rahul Gandhi personally. He is a decent fellow, very well-mannered. But young India does not want a fifth-generation dynast. If you Malayalis make the mistake of re-electing Rahul Gandhi in 2024 too, you are merely handing over an advantage to Narendra Modi,” said Guha on the second day of the ongoing Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) during his talk, “Patriotism Vs Jingoism”. Gandhi’s father, grandmother and great grandfather have all been former Prime Ministers of India.

Addressing the crowd, Guha added, “Kerala, you have done many wonderful things for India, but one of the disastrous things you did was to elect Rahul Gandhi to the Parliament.” Rahul Gandhi, who in 2019 general elections lost from his family bastion of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, had won from the Wayanad seat in Kerala.

Praising Narendra Modi, Guha said “Narendra Modi’s great advantage is that he is not Rahul Gandhi. He is self-made. He has run a state for 15 years, he has administrative experience, he is incredibly hard-working and he never takes holidays in Europe.” To make sure people understand he is not being sarcastic, he even said, “Believe me, I am saying all this in all seriousness.”

“But, even if Rahul Gandhi was much more intelligent, more hard-working, never took a holiday in Europe, as a fifth-generation dynast, he still will be at a disadvantage against a self-made person”, he added.

Launching an attack on Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Guha said that she reminded him of the “late Mughal dynasty” and how aloof they were of the state of their kingdom.

“India is becoming more democratic and less feudal, and the Gandhis just don’t realise this. You (Sonia) are in Delhi, your kingdom is shrinking more and more, but still, your chamchas (sycophants) are telling you that you are still the Badshah,” he said.

Guha also claimed that his teacher was noted sociologist Andre Beteille and described that the story of Nehru-Gandhi family as a classic “reversal of the famous Biblical injunction” where the sins of the father will be visited upon seven successive generations.

Attacking the left-wing forces, Guha said that the hypocrisy of the Indian Left was the fact that they loved other nations more than India. The rise of aggressive nationalism worldwide and “the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in neighbouring countries are some other reasons behind the evident leap of Hindutva in India in recent times, claimed Guha.
