Kerala: Daughter blackmailed to join Orthodox Church to ensure decent burial ground for Jacobite Christian mother

The daughter of a deceased octogenarian woman in Kerala had to consent to join the Orthodox Church to ensure that the St. Thomas Orthodox Church allows her Jacobite mother to be buried in their cemetery, the New Indian Express has reported.

Mini, the daughter of the late Chinnamma, was emotionally blackmailed into converting to the Orthodox faction so that her mother could receive a decent burial at the family crypt. The St. Thomas Church, which earlier belonged to the Jacobite faction, was transferred to the Orthodox faction following a Supreme Court verdict.

“My mother always told me that she should not be buried in another cemetery. She wanted to be buried in the family crypt, but now it belongs to the Orthodox faction. When I approached them, they were ready for burial only if I joined their faction,” said Mini, as per the report.

Father Joseph Malayil, the vicar of St Thomas Church, said “We are not against the burial of any faithful. She approached us for a decent burial and we did not deny it. It is a matter of humanity.” However, a source from the Jacobite side claimed that there were many instances on which the Orthodox faction had refused decent burial grounds for Christians.

Factionalism within the Christian community runs extremely high. Despite their vaulted claims, Churches in India are known to discriminate between Christians, on many occasions even on the basis of their caste.

RTI Amendment Bill 2019 and the fake charade of Shashi Tharoor

Andimuthu Raja of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) calls it “a dark day for democracy.” Shashi Tharoor of the Congress sees it as a bid to remove “the two greatest armours of institutional independence” and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, views it as an attack on “our democratic right to information.” Serious isn’t it. Who doesn’t know Raja or Tharoor or Chowdhury. I mean we all have heard of 2G licenses,  Sunanda Pushkar and “gandi naali (drainage)” slur. They are our much-in-news parliamentarians who today have hogged our newspapers for faking their concern on the amendments to the Right To Information (RTI) Act 2019.

On Monday, Lok Sabha trembled to their din on the amendment to the RTI Act, 2005. As per the amendment, the Information Commissioners (ICs) will have terms and salaries decided by the Centre, instead of being on par with those of Election Commissioners. Tharoor bristled with rage: “Are you bringing this amendment because an IC asked the PMO to reveal the PM’s educational details?” Chowdhary found it an attempt to “keep tab on the Commission and kill its freedom.” NK Premachandran of Revolutionary Socialist Party (never mind if you haven’t heard of him) is convinced the amendment is an attempt to benefit the Central government.

All this for defining the terms and salaries of Information Commissioners?

So, here are the facts. The RTI Amendment Bill 2019 in no way compromises the autonomy or independence of RTI Act 2005. The amendment leaves Section 12(4) of the Act, which ensures autonomy and independence of the Act, untouched.  The appointment of Information Commissioners (Section 12.3) is also not tampered with.

Now to the terms and salaries of Information Commissioners.  The present amendment bill seeks to amend section 27 of RTI Act 2005 which doesn’t define the tenure and terms of conditions for the ICs in its present form!!! Does clearing “ambiguity” on RTI Act sound like a “dark day for Indian democracy” to you?

As per the RTI Act 2005, chief information commissioner is equal to Chief Election Commissioner and there by equal to a Supreme Court judge. Similarly, the state Chief Commissioner is equal to election commissioner and thereby equal to Supreme Court judge.

This itself is an anomaly, considering the fact that Election Commission is a statuary body while Supreme Court and Election Commission are constitutional bodies.

The other contradiction is that CIC and state information commissioners enjoy the status of Supreme Court judge but the verdict passed is liable to be challenged in the High Court.  The present bill seeks to correct this anomaly.  Besides this amendment hasn’t originated from the government alone but also held by several sections of society and judiciary.

For example, the Rajiv Garg vs UOI Supreme Court judgment of 2013 directed that decision be taken on uniformity of service condition of various tribunals. Similarly, the Second Reform Commission in its 13threport of April 2009 also recommended that there is need for greater uniformity in service conditions. The recent judgment of high court of Kerala states that the Chairman and member of the CAT do no occupy the exalted position of the judge of high court merely because they are given the same benefits.

The present amendment merely is enabling legislation which will authorize the government to frame the rules by amending Section 27 and to deliberate upon the tenures and terms of Central and State Information Commission through Section 13 and Section 16 of the RTI Act 2005. The amendment would further streamline and institutionalize the RTI Act and further facilitate its delivery.

BJP sources say that the commitment of Modi government to strengthen the RTI Act is manifest in the fact that it has introduced the 24-hour portal and a mobile App for convenience of filing RTI anytime, 24 hours, 365 days in a year.

The present government has also implemented Section 4 of RTI Act whereby suo motto (on its own) information is now available on all the government websites even without having to file an RTI to seek information.

The leader of the largest opposition party (read Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of Congress) is also a member of the selection committee when there is no recognized member of opposition in Lok Sabha.

And for all this good, Shashi Tharoor calls it a RTI Elimination Bill.

Said a BJP source: “Those who have vested interest in using RTI as a tool of blackmail are making motivated allegations against the RTI Amendment Bill 2019 which are totally unfounded and unsubstantiated.”

Oh is it? RTI as a tool of blackmail? So next time you read screaming headlines in the Indian Express or The Hindu or Times of India or Hindustan Times or any other Indian daily curse the mugger who might have gained behind this charade of “scrutiny” for public good.

Meanwhile, the RTI Amendment Bill was passed with 218 “yes” and 79 “no” in Lok Sabha on Monday.

By providing platform to anti-social elements like Mahmood Paracha, John Dayal and others, media is playing a dangerous game

An FIR was filed recently against Mahmood Paracha after he announced in a press conference, along with Muslim Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad, that the two of them would be setting up a camp in Lucknow to teach Muslims and Dalits about the ‘right to self-defence’ and how to apply for a firearm license.

The FIR doesn’t appear to have had any impact at all as he conducted a training camp inside a Lucknow Mosque training Muslims how to fill out licenses and acquire firearms.  Mahmood Paracha proclaimed that Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes, and Minorities are under threat today and that they are not safe even in Uttar Pradesh. He asserted that the administration is not enough (presumably in protecting Muslims).

Intriguingly enough, Mahmood Paracha is a regular feature at news channels where his opinion is sought in debates. It appears to be a pattern across news channels where hoodlums and uncouth individuals are provided platforms that provides them with an opportunity to augment their credibility.

For instance, Trinamool supporter Garga Chatterjee who appears to be on a crusade to establish Dravidianist politics in West Bengal has been portrayed as an ’eminent intellectual’ by the mainstream media. While he spends much of his time on Twitter peddling hate and promoting divisive rhetoric among the citizens of this country, the mainstream media has provided him with an opportunity to spread his malicious agenda across a much larger audience.

John Dayal, a Christian bigot, is another communal hack of questionable integrity who is regularly invited to debates on news channels. He calls himself a human rights activist, however, his activism, more often than not, always leans towards a particular side. In the many debates that he has featured in, Dayal is yet to offer an opinion that is conducive to social harmony and larger national interests.

Dayal is also the secretary-general of the All India Christian Council and a past president of the All India Catholic Union. He was part of the 32-member group that drafted the anti-Hindu Communal Violence Bill. Recently, he triggered a huge controversy by telling a fellow panellist to go, rape anyone, he wanted.  He had also written to Prime Minister Modi to not deport the illegal Rohingya immigrants from India despite these posed a national security threat to the country.

Another individual who is invited as a panellist in debates is Colin Gonsalves, the Founder of the Human Rights Law Network (HRLN). The HRLN is a division of the Socio-Legal Information Centre (SLIC). The SLIC receives huge donations from Christian organizations abroad. It has received donations from the European Union, George Soros’ Open Society Institute and Oxfam, international organizations which do not have India’s best interests at heart.

HRLN works in a variety of areas such as Child Rights, Labour Rights, Prisoners’ Rights, Criminal Justice, Refugee Rights among a host of others. It also claims to have provided free legal aid to Rohingya detainees across the country. HRLN is also part of a campaign to abolish sedition laws along with PUCL, PUDR, APDR, CPDR, APCLC, which are coordinating organizations of CDRO. These organizations have intimate links with Naxals. Therefore, the fact that the mainstream media provides him with a platform to further his agenda is a matter of deep concern.

The conduct of the mainstream media has been troubling in recent times, to put it mildly. They have invented fake hate crimes against minorities to suppress the news of actual hate crimes against Hindus. They have regularly provided platforms to the families of terrorists to further their anti-Army, anti-India narrative. Under such circumstances, it would not be far fetched to argue that the mainstream media is the enemy of the people.

In another horrific incident, 21-year-old Kirti was brutally stabbed multiple times by one Mohammad Munasir in south-east Delhi’s Bhogal on Friday, the police said.

The stabbing by the 25-year-old Mohammad Munasir of Kirti took place in full public view at 7 PM. The culrpit was then thrashed by the public and handed over to the police.

DCP Southeast Chinmoy Biswal said, “Today on 26.7.19 around 7 pm, PCR call was received regarding stabbing of a female. At the spot in Bhogal market, it came to notice that injured lady R/o Sarai Kale Khan, Age 20-21 years, was taken to hospital where she was declared brought dead”.

Kirti was reportdly a domestic help and was walking back home when she was brutally stabbed. After Kirti was stabbed multiple times, she was taken to AIIMS where she succumbed to her injuries.

Kirti lived with her brother who was also questioned in connection with the case. However, he said he has no knowledge about any relationship between the duo, the police added.

Kerala: Five CPI(M) workers sentenced to life imprisonment for murder of BJP activist in 2008

A sessions court in Kerala has sentenced five CPI(M) workers to life imprisonment for murder of a BJP worker to death in 2008. The court also slapped a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on the Thiruvangod residents Akhilesh (35), M Kalesh (36), M Lijesh (32), Vineesh (25) and P K Shaijosh (28) for the murder of K.V. Surendran.

The fine amount will be paid to the family of the victim. Two people were acquitted in the case. The court relied on the testimonies of various witnesses, including the wife of the deceased who was the prime witness in the case. The prosecutor argued that the motive for the murder was political.

Surendran was 62 years old at the time of murder. He was hacked to death at his home near Tellichery by the accused with sharp weapons on the 7th of March, 2008. He was taken to the hospital by the Police but he succumbed to his injuries.

Political murders of BJP cadres are quite rampant to this day. In West Bengal, BJP karyakartas are being murdered at an alarming rate, allegedly by goons associated with the ruling Trinamool Congress. The government has been utterly incapable in stopping the series of murders. Other states have witnessed murders of BJP karyakartas too.

The legend of BS Yediyurappa: The many ironies, setbacks, struggles and successes

Legend has it that when the king sent his three spoiled sons to the care of rishis in order to educate them about affairs of state, the learned sages decided to teach the young princes the path of dharma by telling them mythical stories about the forest. These tales and the wisdom contained in them came to be known as the Panchatantra.

The stories of politicians are no less than the Panchatantra, with each and every character teaching a lesson of its own. Each flawed and legendary in their own way, showing the twists, the ironies, the struggles and the lessons that we learn from life.

The most straightforward lesson is from Rahul Gandhi, the young prince who had everything given to him on a platter but could not make anything work. There are Vajpayee and Advani and the legend of NDA 1, of hard work going unrewarded and being too old to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Between the two men, a story of friendship and sacrifice. There’s Dr MMS, the man who was always at the right place at the right time and finally walked away with more than anyone thought possible.

Then, there is Modi, the child of destiny: when there is adversity, he turns it into opportunity. When he gets lucky, he turns it into an even bigger opportunity. Secretly, he is always dreaming so big that you don’t even realize he was serious all the time. And Amit Shah, who is making his own grand plan happen by sheer force of hard work and determination.

Another such story is that of Yeddyurappa, or ‘Yediyurappa’ as he wishes to be known now. A man who never had it easy.

Seemingly, BS Yediyurappa did the impossible. Bring BJP to power in a southern state. He became Chief Minister of Karnataka in 2007 itself, but only for a week. The 2004 Assembly Election in Karnataka had thrown up a hung house with BJP as the single largest party with 79 seats, the Congress second with 65 and the JDS third with 58 seats.

Sound familiar?

But then the Congress and JDS got together (as now) and formed a government under the Chief Ministership of Dharam Singh of Congress. But that arrangement collapsed in early 2006 when H D Kumaraswamy broke away, ostensibly against the wishes of his father and joined hands with the BJP. As part of the JDS / BJP power-sharing deal, Kumaraswamy became CM, a post that he was supposed to pass on to the BJP in Oct 2007 until the end of the Assembly’s term in May 2009.

But post-dated political promises are worth nothing, as the BJP found out when H D Kumaraswamy flatly refused to transfer power in Oct 2007.

There are two quick observations to be made here. First, notice how the Congress being the bigger party with 65 seats, would never even have considered giving the CM post to the JDS which had 58. That was 2004. Compare to the Congress in 2018, which conceded the Chief Ministership to H D Kumaraswamy, no questions asked. The Congress had 80 and the JDS just 37. Tells you how weak the Congress hand has become in the past decade.

Conversely, think of the “helpless” BJP of the 2000s, which got badly played by a small regional party.

Badly betrayed by fate, Yediyurappa had to go back to the people in the election of 2008. The people listened and gave the BJP 110 seats in the 224 member assembly, just enough to form a government with the support of a couple of independents.

One must take a moment to understand how remarkable this achievement was. The BJP was still nearly absent in almost 60 seats of Karnataka’s Old Mysore Region, which means the BJP effectively ended up with a score of 110 out of 160 seats or so. This shows the vote-getting power of Yediyurappa, who swept the Northern Lingayat belt of the state.

Not many remember this now, but BJP forming a government in a southern state caused a deep emotional reaction in the ruling ‘secular’ establishment which designated Yediyurappa as “Enemy No. 1.” If you think today’s lies and exaggerations about being people being forced to say Jai Shri Ram is bad, you should have seen the pressure that the Lutyens propaganda machinery exerted on BS Yediyurappa at the time. Suffice to say that their failure to prevent a pub attack by goons in Mangalore brought more bad publicity to the BJP run state government than a series of deadly jihadi terror attacks across India at the time brought to the ruling UPA.

Then, the corruption accusations against Yediyurappa emerged. Prima facie, the amounts of money involved in these accusations were laughably small in the context of Indian politics, where prominent businessmen-politicians can put the GDP of some countries to shame. But the Lutyens propaganda machinery in Delhi had found its mark and the BJP at the time was too weak to mount a serious defence. Yediyurappa had to quit in 2011, he was arrested and the BJP collapsed up in Karnataka. The party faced a humiliating defeat in the 2013 Assembly Election, briefly even losing the main opposition spot to the JDS.  Later on, all these corruption cases were dismissed by courts.

Interestingly though, the data from the 2013 Assembly election had some hidden surprises in it. The BJP had contested the election splintered into three separate factions, the official BJP, Yediyurappa’s KJP and the BSRCP. Separately, each faction had met a humiliating defeat. But if you pooled their votes together, they were roughly in the same place as they had been in 2008.

By this time, Modi had come to take over the BJP and become the Prime Ministerial face and he recognized the opportunity in Karnataka. Yediyurappa was brought back, the party reunited under his leadership and the BJP again managed to be a clear winner in the 2014 Lok Sabha election in the state.

But for Yediyurappa, things still were not easy. He had to wait all the way till 2018 for the Assembly election to happen in Karnataka. The BJP went into the election with the same “geography problem” (absence in 60 seats of Old Mysore) and ended up with 104, tantalizingly short of the majority mark. He was invited to become CM, but the Honorable Supreme Court gave him 24 hours to prove his majority. This is roughly the same amount of time as the 2-3 weeks that H D Kumaraswamy recently had to prove his majority.

Faced with losing odds, BS Yediyurappa decided to turn it into his “Vajpayee moment.” He resigned on the floor of the House, with a promise to come back and sweep the Lok Sabha election next year.

And he succeeded and how. The BJP won 25 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka outright and a candidate supported by BJP won another, taking the NDA total to 26.  The BJP had not only won, it had overcome its “geography problem” in the state, sweeping the southernmost reaches hitherto considered impossible for the BJP. The Congress and the JDS had long been the two principal contenders in this area. In many seats, the two parties together controlled over 90% of the vote. And with the two coming together on the same side, people rejected both of them.

So now BS Yediyurappa takes oath as Chief Minister of Karnataka again. Not under ideal circumstances, mind you. And after an ugly episode of political instability that would have been best resolved by going for fresh elections. For the sake of the people of the state and the nation, we owe him best wishes for a successful tenure as Chief Minister.

Through its many ironies, setbacks, struggles and successes, the legend of Yediyurappa continues.

Even after an FIR for inciting hate, Mehmood Paracha teaches Muslims how to acquire firearms, conducts training camp inside mosque

Only recently, an FIR was filed against Muslim Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad and Muslim advocate and TV debate fixture Mahmood Paracha after in a press conference, the two of them announced that they would be setting up a camp in Lucknow to teach Muslims and Dalits about the ‘right to self-defence’ and how to apply for a firearm licence. On 26th July, Mahmood Paracha was seen holding that training camp inside a Lucknow Mosque where he was training Muslims about how to fill our licences and acquire firearms.

Mahmood Paracha can be heard saying that Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Minorities are under threat in the Nation today and that they are not safe even in Uttar Pradesh. He says that the government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to bring in a new law considering the current laws and police. Paracha says that the administration is not enough (presumably in protecting Muslims).

He says that one cannot get a firearm and to get one, the provisions in the forms have to be met. Mahmood Paracha goes on to tell the Muslims in the Lucknow mosque that there are specified places from where one can learn how to use firearms.

On 22nd July, Mahmood Paracha and Shia cleric had held a press conference where they had proclaimed that they would be teaching Muslim men how to gather firearms.

Mahmood Pracha cited the incidents of mob lynchings and the Sonbhadra massacre as reasons for conducting the camp. According to him, those events wouldn’t have occurred if the victims had legal firearms to defend themselves. They were basically planning to raise an armed militia to combat ‘mob lynchings’, using licenced weapons. They further accused the RSS of puppeteering mob lynching against the minority communities.

However, after a severe backlash, the Shia cleric had taken a U-Turn and said that the media had quoted him wrongly. He said that he had asked his lawyer Pracha to postpone the training camp. He added that there will not be any training on how to use the firearms in the camps.

After the provocative press conference held by the duo, and FIR was also promptly filed against the Shia cleric and Mahmood Paracha for inciting communal hatred.

However, despite the FIR against them and Maulana Kalbe Jawad’s u-turn, it seems the training camps are going forward as planned. It is reported that Mahmood Paracha is set to hold 12 other such camps across the country.

Mumbai Police warns heavy rain in the city tonight, issue advisory not to venture in water-logged areas and near sea

Mumbai police have warned that the city will receive heavy rain through the whole night tonight. A tweet posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai police requested people to not venture into water-logged areas in the city, as the water level will go up due to the expected rains.

Mumbai police also asked people to stay away from the sea, and asked to contact them over phone or Twitter in case of any emergency.

Mumbai received heavy rains during the day, which caused waterlogging in several areas of the city. The waterlogging had caused massive traffic jams at various parts of the city. Several flights were also delayed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport due to the rains.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai in the next 24 hours. IMD has issued orange alert in several districts in Maharashtra. Orange alert is just one level below red alert, which works as a warning for authorities to get prepared.

It may be noted that on this same day in 2005, more than 1000 people had lost their lives in Mumbai after the city had faced an unprecedented amount of rain. Most of the city was flooded, caused by 944 mm rain in just 24 hours on 26th July, which was more than the annual rainfall in many parts of the country.

Abusive actor Ajaz Khan heaps praise on PM Modi and Amit Shah, questions Muslim politicians who didn’t come to his rescue

Serial abuser and small-time actor Ajaz Khan, who is on bail after being arrested by the Mumbai Police for uploading controversial videos, appeared to heap praises on the BJP in a video he uploaded today. He was arrested for promoting enmity between different religious groups. Ajaz was one of the persons who was relentlessly promoting the narrative that Muslims are under attack under the BJP government.

However in his video today he showered praises not just on the BJP but also Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He seems to have gone through a change of heart within 4 days of being in the custody of the Mumbai Police.

The fleetingly reformed Ajaz, in the video uploaded on his social media pages, lauded the BJP government for releasing innocent Muslims held up in jails across the country. These, he said, were incarcerated by the previous Congress regimes without any evidence. “We have to be truthful here. There is one issue on, which we should applaud the BJP. I don’t agree with their ‘Jai Shri Ram’ sloganeering or politics over ‘Triple Talaq’ which is obviously wrong but we should praise the BJP government, especially Narendra Modi ji and Amit Shah ji who have released many innocent Muslims languishing in the jails since the last 15-20 years when Congress was in power,” Ajaz is heard saying.

Ajaz went on to claim that Muslims in the country should seek justice on this issue from Congress and not from the BJP, who was not even in the frame when these folks were wrongfully jailed. “It will be our duplicity if we ask BJP for justice for the wrongs done by the Congress regime. Congress had declared them as terrorists without any proof and lodged them in jails. The BJP should be credited for the release of these innocent Muslims. 5 were released from Jaipur, 3-4 from Kashmir, some from Ahmedabad. BJP could have held them in captivity but they have released them. This is the good work that BJP and PM Modi has done, ” he added.

In addition to this video, Ajaz had also released another video in, which he expressed his discontent with Muslim politicians who didn’t come to his rescue when Mumbai police arrested him and sought his remand for 14 days. Gloating over the fact that he alone fought the police and overcame all the obstacles on his own, Ajaz said, “My message is for Assaduddin Owaisi, Azam Khan, Waris Pathan, Hashmi ji and all other such politicians. I was being slapped with 3 false cases but you didn’t raise your voice in my defence. You (Assad) defended Kanhaiya Kumar in the parliament, you raised your voice for many people in the parliament but you never spoke for Ajaz Khan.”

Lamenting that he was left in the lurch by Muslim politicians like Owaisi and Pathan, Ajaz said, “I don’t know what kind of my image is being conveyed to you. I could have become your (Owaisi) strength. You could have helped me. But you didn’t. However, Allah was with me, people are with me, who saw that injustice is being meted out to me. I would like to tell my Muslim brothers if these people who represent us in the parliament didn’t come to my rescue, will they come to your rescue tomorrow?”

A remorseless Ajaz further added, “I did what these politicians routinely do in the parliament. I spoke about issues what Assaduddin Owaisi, Akbaruddin Owaisi, Hashmi and other Muslim leaders raise, yet I was harassed by the police. I was arrested. I had to pay a security of Rs 1 lakh to secure bail. Apart from this, every day I have to go and report to the police station.”

Ajaz Khan was arrested by Mumbai Police Crime Branch for controversial videos he had posted on social media. He had posted many videos on various social media sites provoking violence and mob lynching of Hindus by Muslims, and mocking police for not being able to catch Muslims who indulge in communal violence. He was sent to 14-days judicial remand. However, he secured bail on a surety of Rs 1 lakh fine on July 22.

Holy f*ck! Rahul Gandhi follows Congress-friendly troll who had declared that only her and the former Amethi MP’s voices matter

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi today followed a Congress-friendly troll, Sanjukta, on Twitter.

When she saw the notification that Wayanad MP has followed her, she was visibly elated. She tweeted, “Oh holy f*^k, what just happened!! I would have to mind my language and behave myself now. Times Now targeted him for meeting me and few others. Now he is following, how they will troll him for this,” and thanked Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi’s follow comes just days after Sanjukta had announced on social media that only her and Rahul Gandhi’s voices ‘somewhat matter’ on the micro-blogging platform.

Without naming anyone she had announced on Twitter how only two people “whose voices somewhat matter here” dared not to care about the Chandrayaan 2 launch. After all, why should a space technology advancement matter to the only two people whose voices ‘somewhat matter’ on Twitter.

Sanjukta had added how these two people are the only ones who are “pained and worried about the future of the nation.” She had added how one of these two people was herself and asked her followers to guess the other person.

A day later, when no one guessed the other person’s name, she announced that the only other person on Twitter ‘who works from his heart’ is the former Congress President. Sanjukta added how Rahul Gandhi tweeted about Sheila Dikshit’s passing and Trump’s statement on Kashmir, which was categorically denied by India, but not on Chandrayaan 2.

She added how perhaps this is the reason he was a misfit.

In fact, Rahul Gandhi’s resignation had even made her cry.

However, now with Rahul Gandhi following her on Twitter, maybe the ‘liberals’ and ‘intellectuals’ who do not accept her in their ‘club’ will finally welcome her with open hands.

In May this year, she had taken on controversial journalist Barkha Dutt and accused her of never making Sanjukta a part of the ‘club’.

She had announced how she is an extraordinarily talented and brave woman but the ‘intellectuals’ haven’t given her any seal of approval.

She had said how she had harboured dreams of being part of the club. But she was attacked by the same ‘club’ when she ‘showed the mirror’ to Tavleen and Smita.

In now deleted tweets, Sanjukta had referred to news agency ANI Editor Smita Prakash as a ‘prestitute’ and sided with Rahul Gandhi for calling her ‘pliable’

Pro-Congress troll Sanjukta calling ANI Editor Smita Prakash a ‘prestitute’ after Rahul Gandhi called her ‘pliable’.

Sanjukta was called out by many from the fraternity but she was still adamant and stuck by her words, much like Rahul Gandhi, who she claims is just like her.

Pro-Congress troll Sanjukta calling ANI Editor Smita Prakash a ‘prestitute’ after Rahul Gandhi called her ‘pliable’.

In fact, if the coincidences are to be believed, Rahul Gandhi returned to India soon after she tweeted to him to get back because without Gandhi, the world is crumbling.

But now with Rahul Gandhi having followed her on Twitter, considering he follows only 304 people against 10.1 million followers he has, one wonders if Sanjukta’s abuses and trolling might come down. However, there is nothing to suggest that being followed by Rahul Gandhi stops abusive behaviour of people.
