Historical records, archaeological evidence, and official documents converge to show that the Bharuch Jama Masjid was built using materials from demolished Hindu-Jain temples during the Khilji era.
The Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti has accused the Bharuch Jama Masjid management of violating ASI rules, claiming the protected site is an ancient Jain temple and demanding an immediate survey and restoration of its original form.
Speaking to TOI, Muni Sunil Sagar said: “Today, I visited Adhai Din Ka Jhopra and discovered that it is not a mere shanty but a palace. I observed many symbols from the Ramayana and Mahabharata. I even found broken statues from the Hindu faith, yet ironically, it is called a mosque.”
The iconic Jain temple in Shima, Himachal Pradesh, has prohibited devotees, both men and women, from wearing revealing clothes, including shorts, mini skirts etc while visiting.
