On Friday, the victim informed the police that when she boarded a city bus to reach her coaching in Navlakha, accused Adnan started following her. When she reached her coaching, the accused forcibly held the victim’s hand and began pressurising her to talk to him.

On the victim's complaint, the Kasrawad police station filed an FIR under the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act and sections of the Indian Penal Code and arrested both the accused.

The brother, who was was attacked in his neck and face, and is in a critical state. He is now receiving medical treatment in a hospital.
