Nine people, including women and minors, have been held by the Delhi Police in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old boy in the Seelampur area.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Wednesday accused the BJP of 'conspiring to defame' party leader Aaditya Thackeray by raising questions on him in connection with the Disha Salian death case.

"Sumon Kumar Pal was hit on the head. It was only after that they robbed the shop. If the purpose was robbery, then they would not have hit him with the intention to murder," the locals told Ajker Patrika.

The victim has been missing since Thursday (30th January) night. The police constituted 2 teams to trace the woman after receiving a complaint about the same on the following day.

The victim was identified as 24-year-old Shifa, a resident of Lingasaguru.

The incident occurred when Arnab was drinking tea on his motorcycle near a tea stall. At that time, a group of bike-born extremists opened fire at the Hindu student and fled the crime scene. Arnab suffered a bullet injury to his head.

The doctors conceded that they had not seen such brutality in their 12-year careers.

On 3rd December, an NIA court sentenced 28 accused to life imprisonment in the Chandan Gupta murder case. Chandan was killed during a Tiranga Yatra in 2018 in Kasganj.

The accused were identified as Mohd Fayyaz Mohd Hashimuddin, Sayyad Sameer Sayyad Jimal, M Shyam Koteshwar Rao and Mohd Amam Mohd Akbar. All of them are residents of Hyderabad.

"My father could not have committed suicide. He had been murdered and hung from the tree. No one can die if their feet is touching the ground while hanging from a rope," Jhantu Das told Prothom Alo
