Major concerns have been raised about the growing frequency of deliberate attempts to derail trains throughout India by placing objects on the tracks.

A total of 9 iron rods were recovered by the railway officials. The cops are now probing the conspiracy angle in the case.

An attempted train derailment was thwarted on Saturday after miscreants removed fishplates and keys from a railway track near Kim Railway Station in Surat.

In Ajmer, cement blocks weighing one quintal were placed on the railway track for about 1 kilometer. The blocks were placed between two places, Saradhna and Bangad Gram station. However, the potential train accident was averted as the blocks broke and fell apart the track.

As per the reports, a deliberate attempt was made to derail the Kalindi Express by placing a gas cylinder on the route. However, the accident was averted after the pilot heard the suspicious sound of the cylinder hitting the train.

A loco pilot averted a major train derailment and loss of life by promptly applying emergency brakes after the goods train he was operating collided with motorcycle scrap placed on the railway track in Rajasthan’s Baran district.
