Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi has sought full information on the investigations both in the rape case as well as on the accident that took place on Sunday.
On Sunday, the victim of the Unnao rape case was travelling to Rae Bareli with her two aunts, and her lawyer Mahendra Singh when their vehicle was hit by a truck, rendering them critically injured.
The Unnao rape victim had written to CJI Gogoi on July 12 that she is being threatened by Kuldeep Sengar's men to 'settle' the case or face dire consequences.
According to the law, identity of a rape victim cannot be disclosed and those guilty of doing so faces punishment under Section 228-A of the Indian Penal Code.
Samajwadi Party leader Nandu Lal has claimed that the number plate of the truck that was involved in the accident were blackened out to evade the financiers.
