Taking to X, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said, “At 10 p.m. ET on July 29, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to yesterday's attempted missile attacks on U.S. forces.”
"CENTCOM began conducting a new wave of strikes against Iran at 7 p.m. ET today for the ninth consecutive night. The strikes will continue degrading Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz," the US CENTCOM said.

The latest escalation came only hours after US President Donald Trump declared that recent attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz had effectively ended the fragile agreement.
According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces carried out strikes on Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, along with coastal radar installations.
The joint statement said the parties created a High-Level Committee, approved a 60-day roadmap, opened a direct communication line for the Strait of Hormuz and agreed on a Lebanon de-confliction cell facilitated by the mediators.
