Another case of purported love jihad came to the fore from Rae Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh where a Muslim youth named Mohammad Ansari hid his religious identity and posed as a Hindu to trap a Hindu widow in his love affair.

Urs (an Islamic gathering) was being held in the police station where the illegal mazar was built and maulvis and pilgrims were being entertained here

According to the FIR, Tasavvar and Ghiyasuddin's negligence was to blame for the deaths in the accident. The two accused named in the FIR have been charged under sections 304 and 268 of the IPC.
