A 25-year-old UP man alleges he was forcibly converted to Islam and married in Assam by a woman and her family. After escaping, a case has been registered under the state's anti-conversion law following a court order.

According to police, the suspects are part of a "white-collar terror network", including educated individuals and professionals engaged in terrorist activities.

Four people were arrested in Shravasti’s Bhayapurwa village for allegedly attempting mass religious conversion. Police seized Christian religious material, documents, and bank records, and found links to Punjab and pastors operating from Sitapur and Nepal.

A 32-year-old woman in Mirzapur, UP, was arrested under the state's anti-conversion law. A Dalit labourer filed an FIR, stating she repeatedly offered him money and other inducements to convert to Christianity.

The missing girl’s mother told the police that Faizan Farooqui was already in touch with her daughter.

Since the body was naked, the police could not find any clothes or documents to ascertain the identity of the body.

The women claim they were unfairly treated as offenders despite having committed no offence.
