Jain said that the rights of minority in the country have become synonymous with Muslim rights in the country, adding that the rights of other minority communities are neglected.
"There are still some draconian provisions like Sections 28, 29, and 'person aggrieved' in Section 6, which have not been removed. We presented our opinion in this regard in front of the JPC," Jain pointed out.
The demolition was originally proposed during the discussion of a Religious Committee meeting that was held on 25th October 2024, chaired by the Principal Secretary (Home), Delhi Secretariat.
Raising questions on the authenticity of the DDA notice, the locals also pointed out that the notice for the demolition of the temples in Mayur Vihar did not have any stamp or the signature of any official.
