Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera holds two active EPIC numbers. One of them is under Jangpura Assembly constituency and the other is in under New Delhi Assembly constituency.

The Supreme Court on Friday questioned the timing of the Election Commission's special revision of the Bihar voter list ahead of elections. It asked why the process wasn’t done earlier and whether voter ID and Aadhaar are being wrongly rejected.

RJD's Tejaswi Yadav said that this is a conspiracy to snatch the votes of the poor. AIMIM's Owaisi called it 'backdoor NRC' because documents are needed for this. TMC's Sagarika Ghosh and journalist Ravish Kumar are also calling it suspicious.

"The Commission has decided to ensure allotment of unique EPIC number to registered electors. Any case of duplicate EPIC number will be rectified by allotting a unique EPIC number. The ERONET 2.0 platform will be updated to aid and assist in this process." ECI stated.

The racket was involved in making fake voter ID cards and providing them to doubtful voters or D voters in Assam
