‘Chacha Nehru Madarsa’ run by former VP Hamid Ansari’s wife to also have a ‘temple’ inside

In the year 2017, rat poison was reportedly mixed in the water supply of her madarsa.

Salma Ansari, the wife of former Vice President Hamid Ansari, has decided to build both a temple and a mosque inside the Chacha Nehru Madarsa that she runs in Aligarh. In the year 2017, rat poison was reportedly mixed in the water supply of her madarsa by some unknown men.

She said that the step is to ensure the safety of the hostel students who need to go outside for visiting a temple or a mosque.

Salma Ansari told that she got her school affiliated as a madarsa because it cost her much cheaper compared to the cost of affiliation from other boards. She said that people had warned her that people would be hesitant to associate with her school if she got it affiliated it as a madarsa. However, the biggest donors of her madarsa are Hindus and the six biggest rolling trophies of her school are also funded by Hindus.

Speaking on the illegal weapons recovered from madarsa in Bijnor, Ansari condemned the incident and said that madarsas should ensure that such incidents do not take place. Ansari also said that there is a need for a law to control the population and that people need to be educated about population control. “There is a drastic climatic change that is taking place. Monsoons are weakening. People in villages travel miles for water. Fields are drying”, she said.

Recently, a former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer had levelled some serious allegations on her husband former Vice President Hamid Ansari of endangering the lives of RAW officers in Tehran and exposing the RAW set-up there. This allegedly happened during Ansari’s tenure as Indian Ambassador to Iran.
