Twitter reacts to PM’s stinging speech in the Parliament, and Congress’ blatant display of hooliganism

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in the Parliament today. While his speech was welcomed by repeated loud applause and cheers by NDA members in the Parliament, the Congress MPs created a ruckus. Ignoring all decorum and minimal courtesy expected from elected representatives in the house, they sloganeered constantly and tried their best to interrupt the PM’s speech.

The PM, however, was at his oratory best. Without being disturbed, he carried on his powerful speech to the opposition’s utter frustration.

As expected, social media was ablaze with praises, memes and reactions to the PM’s exemplary show of elegance and power of a true leader.

PM Modi’s aggressive speech against Congress over their inefficiency and his continuation despite sloganeering and noise by its MPs were hailed by many.

Many condemned Congress for trying to disrupt the Parliamentary process and absence of respect for the country’s democratically elected Prime Minister.

Congress MPs invited mockery and jokes by their behaviour.

Twitterati also were quick to point out that the PM’s memorable speech will be in fact the harbinger of 2019 election results.

This was by far one of the most stinging speeches of the Prime Minister that not only spoke about his government’s achievements but also about the failures of Congress, their lack of democracy and historical blunders. With this, it would seem like the Prime Minister has truly inaugurated the election year.
