The central government has stated that they have taken the protesting aspirant’s demands into consideration and ordered CBI inquiry on the alleged paper leak incidents in the SSC Combined Graduate Level (Tier II) examinations.

The Minister, according to reports, stated that as the government has ordered CBI probe into the matter, the aspirants should now call off their protests. But the aspirants protesting before the office of the SSC in Delhi stated that they will continue the protests till they see a proper format and be certain that all their demands are being fulfilled or not.

On Sunday social activist Anna Hazare had met the students and extended his support to them. Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has also spent an hour among the protesters and later had met with the Union Home Minister. He had assured that the central government will conduct appropriate investigations into the matter.
Nearly 190,000 candidates had appeared for the SSC CGL (Tier II) exams. On 17 February, the exam had to be cancelled after reports broke out that in a Delhi exam centre, paper chits with answers written were found in a toilet. In Bhopal too several aspirants had reported that some of the questions already had answers marked on them. Hundreds of aspirants have been protesting outside the SSC’s office at CGO complex in Delhi for the past week.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor had earlier tweeted that he has spoken with MoS Jeetendra Singh and he has promised a fair investigation into the matter.

There were reports circulating on the social media that JNU student Shehla Rashid went to the venue of the protest to extend her support which was rejected by the protesting aspirants and she had to leave the venue.

A detailed investigation is expected to expose the corrupt officials involved in the alleged scam.
