Yavatmal: Sheikh Aftaab booked for posting video showing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj bowing to Aurangzeb, counter FIR filed against Hindus after Muslims were booked

On May 15, Maharashtra Police filed an FIR against one person identified as Sheikh Aftaab Shiekh Mannan for uploading an Islamist propaganda social media story on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The accused person posted a video in which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was seen bowing down before Aurangzeb. “Aurangzeb Hindustan ka Baap,” the video captioned.

The incident is said to have happened in the Pusad region of the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra on May 14. Team OpIndia accessed the FIR copy of the incident in which the complainant named Gajanan Chavhan said that the accused had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by deliberately posting an anti-Hindu video on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The video has also been accessed by OpIndia.

“We had organized a procession honouring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in our city. After the procession, I saw a Facebook story was deliberately uploaded by Aftaab saying that Aurangzeb is the father of Hindustan. He also posted a video showing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj bowing down before Aurangzeb. This has hurt the religious sentiments of us Hindus. This was also an attempt to incite communal violence in the city,” Chavhan added.

He also stated in the complaint that he showed the status to his other Hindu associates named Gajanan Karade, Mahesh Saroshe, Ganesh Bokshe, Prashant Pagir, Mahadev Dakhore and Khandu Shelgavkar who helped him file a police complaint. “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is like God to us. And the accused has caused insult to him,” the complainant said.

Counter FIR filed against Hindus an hour after Aftaab was booked

Team OpIndia talked to Mahesh Saroshe, one of the persons who helped Chavhan in filing a police complaint. He said that Gajanan Chavhan has not been seen in the city and that he is not reachable since the complaint has been filed against the accused. OpIndia also contacted Chavhan’s brother regarding the case. He also confirmed that Gajanan had gone into hiding and that his phone was not reachable.

“The tension between Hindus and Muslims here is long-standing. This time they uploaded Islamic status on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It was definitely a deliberate attempt. This has hurt our religious sentiments. Moreover, the Muslims have filed another complaint against us for allegedly hurting their religious sentiments. And now the police are looking for us instead of arresting Aftaab,” Mahesh said.

Notably, an hour after Aftaab was booked for posting Islamic status and attempting to incite communal violence, a Muslim person named Mohammed Mobin Sheikh Mujammel registered an FIR against Mahesh Saroshe and Ganesh Bokshe for posting a social media story praising Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and allegedly causing insult to Aurangzeb.

The FIR copy obtained by OpIndia stated that Mahesh and Ganesh posted a video saying, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is father of Aurangzeb.” Mahesh confirmed to OpIndia that he posted the video and said that it was in response to the video posted by Aftaab.

Police detained Aftaab’s two brothers but then happened to release them

He claimed that the police booked him and his friend but took no action against Aftaab. “The Police detained two of his brothers and released them after inquiry. Aftaab is believed to have absconded. But the police are looking for Gajanan Chavhan and also us (Mahesh and Ganesh). We are struggling to file an anticipatory bail in the case so that we are not trapped for raising our voice against pro-Islamist activity,” Mahesh confirmed.

The police have booked Sheikh Aftaab Shiekh Mannan, Mahesh and Ganesh under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc) and 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

Team OpIndia tried to connect to the SDPO Pusad office and also Khandala Police Station, but the calls remained unanswered. The report will be updated once we hear from the authorities.

Kerala: 17-year-old girl found hanging in a Madrassa in Balarampuram, family alleges mental torture by a ‘teacher’

A 17-year-old girl named Asmiya Mole was reportedly discovered dead inside a library at a Madrassa in Balarampuram city, Kerala. She was a resident of Beemapally in Thiruvananthapuram. Her family has alleged that the girl was being abused by a teacher of the madrassa named Al Aman.

The mother of the deceased filed a report of the alleged mental abuse of her daughter by a Madrassa teacher to Balarampuram police station. According to the police, a case has been launched under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and an investigation is currently underway. The victim was a resident of the hostel and a student at a nearby religious study institute.

She contacted her mother on Saturday afternoon and requested to be sent back home, as per Balarampuram police. She reached the institution, but the authorities allegedly did not allow her to meet Asmiya. After some time, she was told that her daughter was found dead.

Police said, “Her mother reached the Madrassa around 4.30 pm. She was asked to get permission. Around 6.30 she was informed that the girl was found hanging inside the library. Her mother took her to a private hospital in Neyyattinkara. She was declared brought dead on arrival at 7 pm.” The autopsy of the body was later conducted at the Medical College Hospital Thiruvananthapuram.

In accordance with Asmiya Mole’s uncle Tajudeen, she came home during Ramazan and informed her mother that a new Madrassa instructor was psychologically tormenting her.

“She returned to Madrassa on May 2 and complained to her mother again about the teacher. After reporting the matter to the Madrassa administration, the Ustad (teacher) asked her mother why Asmiya did not complain to him instead,” he revealed.

“We came to know from the media that 135 students were studying there. The primary report says it was hanging. We want to know what prompted her to commit suicide. What were the problems she faced there? We only wanted to know who was behind her death,” he added. The family has demanded a thorough inquiry into the serious matter.

CBI arrests media channel India Ahead’s Arvind Kumar Singh, says transferred crores through Hawala to firm handling AAP’s Goa election publicity

On Monday, May 15, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said that Arvind Kumar Singh, the commercial head and production controller of Noida-based India Ahead news channel in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam on Friday. Following his arrest on the same day, Special CBI Judge M. K. Nagpal of Rouse Avenue Court remanded Singh to CBI custody till May 18.

According to a CBI official, “Arvind Kumar Singh was arrested on Friday for allegedly transferring Rs 17 crore over hawala networks to a firm, which was handling the Aam Aadmi Party’s publicity campaign during the Goa assembly elections.”

During the investigation, the CBI recovered WhatsApp chats and hawala operator data indicating that Singh had been involved in the hawala transactions of Rs 17 crore between June 2021 and January 2022 to a firm managing the AAP’s outdoor advertisement campaign in Goa.

While remanding Arvind Kumar Singh to CBI custody, Justice Nagpal stated, “This court is of the opinion that some further interrogation in custody from the accused is required, as is his confrontation with the other documentary as well as digital evidence that has come on record during the investigation of the case. Therefore, he has been remanded to the custody of the CBI until May 18.”

The Goa Assembly elections took place on February 14, 2022. The Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22, which intended to grant licenses to liquor retailers, is said to have benefited specific dealers who allegedly paid kickbacks for it. The policy was later scrapped.

Notably, Bhupendra Chaubey, the editor-in-chief of India Ahead is married to Delhi Education Minister Atishi’s elder sister Rosa Basanti. In 2022, it was reported that India Ahead was faced with a financial crunch and rumours surfaced that the English free-to-air channel might shut down soon. In January this year, the news channel reportedly shut down its operations and the dues of the employees were unpaid. Chaubey had at the time refuted these reports.

NIA searches over 100 locations in the gangster-terrorist nexus case, had recently arrested 19 gangsters, 2 arms suppliers and 1 financier

0

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted searches at more than 100 locations in six states of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh in terror-narcotics smugglers-gangsters nexus cases.

The anti-terror agency in close coordination with state police forces conducted these raids since early Wednesday at the premises and other places linked to suspects. The raids are still going on. The raids are being conducted in connection with three separate cases lodged by the NIA last year– RC 37, 38, 39/2022/NIA/DLI.

The agency on January 25 this year arrested one Deepak Ranga, the main shooter in the RPG attack on Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali in May 2022 in its case RC-37/2022/NIA/DLI, from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur as he was a close associate of Canada based gangster-turned-terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa and Pakistan based gangster-turned-terrorist Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda.

Apart from his involvement in the May RPG attack, Deepak has been involved in a number of other violent terrorist and criminal offences, including violent killings. He has been actively receiving terror funds and logistical support from Rinda and Landa.

The NIA had registered the case suo moto on September 20, 2022, after it emerged that terrorist outfits and terror elements based abroad were operating in tandem with leaders and members of organized criminal gangs operating in northern states of the country to commit targeted killings and violent criminal acts.

It had also emerged that the terror-gangster-drug smuggler network was also engaged in smuggling terrorist hardware, such as arms, ammunition explosives, IEDs etc across borders through a widespread inter-state network of gun runners, illegal arms and ammunition manufacturers and suppliers and explosive traffickers.

Since the registration of three criminal cases against the above terror-gangster-drug smuggler network, NIA has already arrested 19 leaders and members of various Organised criminal gangs, two Arms suppliers and one big financier connected with the network under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Canada-based Arsh Dalla has been designated as an ‘individual terrorist’ by the Ministry of Home Affairs on January 9, this year.

On May 13, a Hindu man was brutally killed by his Muslim wife Ameeran’s family members in the Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh. After the assault, the Hindu man was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim, Jitendra alias Raju Saini, was ruthlessly thrashed in front of his wife by his Muslim father-in-law, mother-in-law, and his wife’s brother when he visited their house for the first time after marriage. Reportedly, Jitendra and Ameeran had a love marriage.

The matter pertains to the Piplod Police Station precinct. Reportedly, victim Jitendra who originally hailed from Khandel village in Rajasthan was residing in Khandwa district’s Singot for the last three years. There, he worked at a hotel where he met Ameeran. The two soon drew closer and got married. After getting married, they moved to Rajasthan’s Khandel village. Jitendra and Ameeran had a daughter. Meanwhile, Ameeran’s parents lodged a missing complaint for their daughter. On the basis of their complaint, the police initiated an investigation and found that Ameeran is residing with her husband Jitendra in Khandel.

According to the police, Ameeran had said in the court that she wants to stay with her husband and since she was an adult, she had the right to take that decision. Later when she wanted to meet her parents Munnibai (mother) and Mumtaz (father), her husband brought her to Singot village in Khandwa. Jitendra stayed in Singot for over 25 days as he was assaulted by his in-laws’ family whenever he tried to take his wife and daughter back home. The victim had even filed a complaint at Piplod police station, however, police reportedly did not take any action.

On May 13, 2023, when the victim returned to his in-laws’ home to bring back his wife and daughter, he was attacked by members of his wife’s family. The victim managed to reach the Piplod police station and informed the police about what transpired at his in-laws’ house, but no action was taken. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Satyendra Kumar Shukla said that an investigation was launched following the death of Raju (Jitendra). A murder case has been registered against the accused mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law.

Dr Anish Arjhare, the district convenor of Hindu Jagran Manch, blamed police negligence for what happened with victim Jitendra alias Raju. Influencer Shayan Ali refuses to do ISI propaganda work against India, the Modi fan recounts the harrowing tale of how he had to leave Pakistan to avoid being killed: Details

On Tuesday (May 16), actor and influencer Mohammed Shayan Ali took to social media to narrate his ordeal at the hands of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the circumstances that forced him to leave the State of Pakistan forever.

Ali recounted how he turned down anti-India propaganda work, which he was tasked to do by the PR wing of the Pakistan armed forces i.e. ISPR. He was then accused of being a Jewish agent and member of the Indian Intelligence Agency, R&AW.

“People who know me are familiar that when I refused to work in a music video of DG-ISPR with the name of “Kashmir Hon Mein,” they started accusing me of being a RAW and JEW Agent only because of my blonde hair,” he said in a long Twitter post (archive).

“That music video is also currently on YouTube. You can easily find it when you write “Kashmir Hon Mein.” This video was all about the so-called “Torture of the Indian Army on Kashmiris,” he added.

Shayan Ali, who was born in Pakistan and well-versed in Urdu, pointed out that influencers including him were often approached by the Pakistan Intelligence Agency for promotional work. He informed his audience that he turned down the request to create a propaganda music video on Jammu and Kashmir.

“For this music video, almost all of my fellow influencers got agreed with the ISI except me and when I told them that what you guys are showing is wrong and totally opposite of the reality…this was the thing which triggered them the most,” Ali narrated.

He stated, “I have always refused to be a part of the fake campaigns of ISI and Pakistani Government and I used to refuse it every time whenever they contacted me but since this was about Kashmir and it was a very big issue, and after I refused, they started having doubt on me and started treating me like a RAW agent.”

ISI conspired to kill me: Shayan Ali

The influencer, who boasts of 18K followers on Twitter, said that he had no option but to leave Pakistan forever, owing to the continued harassment by ISI. He said that the Pakistani intelligence agency even conspired to kill him.

“I left Pakistan in September 2019, but the state of Pakistan was not updated on that. In December 2019, when the “PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority)” found out about my recent social media post against Pakistan, they sent the Sindh Police to arrest me and that was the time when they figured out that I am no longer living in Pakistan,” he informed.

According to Shayan Ali, the Pakistani military junta was rattled after learning that he is out of their reach. As such, he is subjected to death threats and censorship on a regular basis.

Influencer subjected to threats on a daily basis for exposing ISI, the Pakistan army

“ISI and Pakistani Army believe that they are above God but they have forgotten that God always protects the truth and the person who speaks the truth and exposes evil,” he emphasised.

“ISI tried their best to silence my voice but the God wanted me to expose the terrorist state of Pakistan to the whole world which is why the God protected me from literally every torture of ISI and Pakistan Army,” he concluded.

Ali also posted a picture, which showed him boarding a flight. “Even though I was lucky that I left Pakistan safely, but still my struggle against the terrorist ISI never ended. I was fighting this fight alone and on the other hand, there was the whole state of Pakistan but at the end, Satyameva Jayate,” Ali pointed out.

‘Soros hates humanity, wants to erode civilisation’: Elon Musk refuses to stop speaking up his mind, ‘even if it means losing money’. Here is what happened

On May 16 (local time), Twitter’s owner and billionaire Elon Musk said he would prefer freedom of speech over money and say whatever he wants during an interview with David Faber for CNBC. Faber had questioned him about the recent tweets about George Soros, where Elon Musk drew a parallel between Soros and the fictional comic villain character Magneto and said that George Soros hates humanity.

In a tweet, Musk said, “Soros reminds me of Magneto”. Magneto is a fictional character from Marvel Comics who appears in the X-Men series. He is a powerful mutant, a fictional humanity subspecies with superpowers. Magneto can control metal the way he likes. Initially, he worked with good intentions but later became an enemy of humanity.

Coming back to Musk’s tweet, a journalist named Brian Krassenstein of Krassenstein News got irked by his tweet and replied that Magneto’s experiences during the Holocaust as a survivor shared his perspective as well as his depth and empathy. He mentioned George Soros was also a Holocaust survivor, and he often gets attacked for his “good intentions”, which some Americans think are bad because they disagree with him because of his political affiliation.

To which Elon Musk replied, “You assume they are good intentions. They are not. He wants to erode the very fabric of civilisation. Soros hates humanity.”

When Faber asked him about the tweet during the interview, Musk said it was his community’s opinion. Faber questioned him about the need to share such views on social media and if people who bought Tesla did not like it or advertisers on Twitter may not agree with him.

Musk said it was “Freedom of speech. I am allowed to speak what I want.”. Notably, Musk has been a staunch supporter of freedom of speech on the platform. Since he took over Twitter, many conservative and right-wing accounts were unsuspended and thrown out of the platform for speaking of something that the previous team “did not like”.

Faber further asks if people say his views were ‘anti-Semite’, terms used for people who are hostile and prejudiced against Jews. Musk said, “I’m a pro-Semite if anything.” Faber further said what if Tesla owners do not agree with this, and people on Twitter say he has to stop as advertisers may not like what he tweeted?

Musk said the conversation reminded him of a scene from the movie “The Princess Bride” where the character Inigo confronts Rugen, the person who killed his father and said, “Offer me money. Power, too, promise me that.” Musk said, “I’m reminded of the Scene in “the princess bride where he confronts the person who killed his father, And he says, offers me money, Offer me power, I don’t care.”

When Faber asked if Musk “just don’t care”, he said, “I will say what I want to say. If the consequence of that is losing money, so be it.”

As Elon Musk slams George Soros, here is Soros’ anti-India stand

George Soros has been spending a lot of money to influence the Indian public and change the government at the centre. He himself has been said to have allocated a billion USD for his crusade against the Modi government. His funded media houses and organisations often run campaigns against India. In a recent address, Soros drew insinuations about the connections between the Modi government and the Adani Group. OpIndia’s detailed coverage of George Soros can be checked here.

‘Office broken into at behest of Saurabh Bharadwaj, sensitive files photocopied or destroyed’: Vigilance officer probing corruption cases against AAP, Arvind Kejriwal

Special Secretary Vigilance YVVJ Rajasekhar, who was divested of his duties by Services Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj last week, wrote a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch and L-G office. The letter that in the wee hours of the night, his office was broken into and sensitive files related to the excise policy probe, renovation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence and those referred to central investigation agencies was photocopied. Room no. 403, Special Secretary (Vigilance) at Delhi Sectt, was broken into on the intervening night of 15th and 16th May at 3:00 AM. The letter also expressed apprehensions that his office might have been bugged.

The letter, YVVJ Rajashekhar says is in continuation of his previous report which stated how the Minister (Vigilance), Saurabh Bharadwaj, had instructed Assistant Directors not to submit the files related to the corruption cases to the vigilance officer.

“When these instructions of Hon’ble Minister were received at 11.30 A.M. on 15.05.2023, there are about 76 files in the Confidential Section of the
undersigned and the same were sent to the Secretary (Vigilance) according to the instructions of the Hon’ble Minister (Vigilance) without examining these 76 files, merely recording the instructions of the Hon’ble Minister where he directed the undersigned not examine the files”, the letter says.

He says that it is not the norm to transfer files to the Minister under any circumstances due to the ‘principle of arms length’, which essentially means that the minister must maintain distance from the investigation by the vigilance officer to ensure that fairness is maintained.

However, the principle seems to have been clearly breached.

The Vigilance officer said that Buniyad Singh, Assistant Director (Vigilance) called him up at 9:14 PM on 15th May and said that officers had been instructed to open the Vigilance officer’s room to get out some records. On the call, Rajashekhar says he strongly objected to these instructions given by Saurabh Bharadwaj and protested against the files being taken away.

“However, it is understood from a preliminary enquiry that Sh. Manish (MTS) has opened the room of the undersigned and allegedly photocopied all the records i.e from 15th May 2023 night to 16th May 2023 til 3:00 AM. The undersigned is not sure whether any record/file was taken away or otherwise tampered with it or photocopied. It is a serious lapse in the present scenario”, the letter says.

The files he says were in his office are following:

a) Proposal file of CBI for according sanction under section 17 A of PoC Act 1998 in excise matters and policy.

b) Tender files and terms and conditions of 6 Flag Staff, Civil Lines

c) Subsequent alterations and additions file of 6 Flag Staff, Civil Lines

d) Measurement books regarding payments made by PWD with respect to 6 Flag Staff Invoices submitted by the Contractors.

e) Notice inviting tenders files of 6 Flag Staff, Civil Lines.

f) Deviation files of 6 Flag Staff, Civil Lines.

g) Revised extra item for superior specifications of 6 Flagstaff, Civil Lines.

h) Photo of individuals that have supervised the construction of 6 Flag Staff, Civil lines.

i) “Talk to A.K. File” (DIP)

j) DIP matters regarding Supreme Court Judgement in common cause case Judgement and illegal payments of Bills.

k) Certain files relating to departments, where the matter was referred to Central investigating agencies under the extant provisions/rules.

l) Other various files/documents related to prosecution sanctions of officers of Excise Department etc. With reference to Excise Policy.

“The undersigned is apprehensive that the records will be destroyed or might have been destroyed in due course of time”, the letter further said. Rajashekhar said that he had instructed all the Vigilance Directors not to comply with such instructions since they are not supposed to take verbal orders from the minister unless they are in a declared state of emergency. Quoting the law in the letter, the officer says that unless the instructions are provided in writing, the officers of the vigilance department are not supposed to provide any files/documents to the minister to maintain the objectivity of the investigation.

“I have serious apprehension that our rooms might have been bugged and there is every likelihood of breach of secrecy, tempering of records, fabrication of records etc. I request the Senior Officers for appropriate action at the earliest. The undersigned in the meanwhile strongly instructing the Assistant Director (Care Taking) and Delhi Police In charge Inspector of Delhi Sectt. to ensure that the room of the undersigned and the Confidential Section where systems are in place are not touched or given excess to anyone without the authorisation of the undersigned”, the letter ends by saying.

The Delhi Government has said that though the officer in question was divested of his duties because there were charges of corruption against him, they questioned Rajashekhar’s “interest” in keeping some files with him. The government also said that despite this, the charges of a break-in would be thoroughly investigated, according to an Indian Express report.

In its statement, the Delhi government said, “Several complaints have been received against him… that he demands protection money. Work was officially withdrawn from him… on May 13. If work has been officially withdrawn from him… how is he still in possession of all files? When his work is assigned to other officers, the office procedure demands that he should have officially handed over all files to the new officers. What is his interest in keeping some files despite him being removed? Regarding his allegation that someone tried to break into his office at night, the government will get it thoroughly investigated whether it is true or not. If true, strict action will be taken.”

AAP Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj had ‘divested’ the Vigilance Officer of all his duties

AAP Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj had divested Special Secretary Vigilance YVVJ Rajasekhar, who was investigated the Liquor scam and the corruption case of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spending crores of taxpayers’ money to build his private mansion, of all his duties claiming that there were allegations of corruption and extortion against the officer.

In a note dated May 13, Bharadwaj said, “There are complaints that YVVJ Rajasekhar is running an extortion racket and demanding protection money. This allegation is quite serious, which needs to be examined… All work assigned to YVVJ Rajasekhar is hereby withdrawn.”

Bharadwaj has directed Vigilance department to distribute cases and works being probed by Rajasekhar among additional directors (ADs) stating that “ADs will directly report to Secretary (Vigilance).” The order further read: “The ADs should directly put up files to Secretary (Vigilance).”

Officials close to Rajasekhar, however, said he had been cleared by investigating agencies in the cases filed against him. “He is being targeted because he has been posted in enforcement and vigilance departments in different government organisations for the last decade and has taken action against several officials,” the official claimed, according to an Indian Express report.

When Rajashekhar was divested of his duties, he had said that the move by the AAP government was illegal.

According to reports, in his reply, which has also been marked to Principal Secretary, L-G, and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Rajasekhar said “illegally transferring” him from the department is “nothing but subverting the directions of apex court, according to which the officers can be transferred only through deliberations of Civil Services Board”. The letter read: “The undersigned (Rajasekhar) is being prevented from performing duties and I apprehend serious threat and diversions of records pertaining to sensitive matters like excise matter, 6, Flagstaff Road, Civil Lines, DIP (Department of Information and Publicity)… It is requested that this matter may be brought to notice of High Court to stay the order issued by minister (Vigilance).” Reportedly, report on CM house’s renovation has been prepared and was about to be sent to the L-G.

The cases that YVVJ Rajasekhar was probing against the AAP government

Rajasekhar was probing several other cases, including excise department chargesheets and their sanctions under various provisions of the POC (Prevention of Corruption) Act, FBU case pertaining to the setting up of a separate intelligence unit, allegations of overspending on political advertisements, and charges of favourable treatment to AAP workers in hiring venues for Mohalla Clinics. He was also probing the liquor scam and Arvind Kejriwal spending taxpayers’ money on building his palatial mansion.
