Rajdeep Sardesai alleges that government’s J&K advisory is a smokescreen to shift spotlight away from the state of economy

The government of Jammu and Kashmir today issued an advisory for the tourists and visitors currently in the state to curtail their visits as the intelligence inputs suggested a heightened possibility of terror attacks in the Valley. However, talented spinster Rajdeep Sardesai, known for being a Modi and BJP hater, posted a tweet alluding that the advisory is a smokescreen issued to divert people’s attention away from the dire state of the Indian economy.

Sardesai implied that the government of the day is trying to deflect the nation’s attention away from the warnings given by the economy to the state of Jammu and Kashmir by flaring up tensions in the state through the issuance of advisory. He said that the ‘real’ warning on the economy will be ignored now, implying that the Kashmir warning is not real. In a press conference today, Chinar Corps Lt General KJS Dhillon had stated that there were intelligence reports suggesting increased terror attacks in the valley. The government had earlier also moved 28000 security personnel into the state, a week after moving 10000 soldiers.

However, Rajdeep, with his unmitigated disdain for the current government tweeted that the activities undertaken by the government is possibly a ruse to hide its economic failures. This presumption didn’t sit well with a lot of people on Twitter who were quick to admonish Sardesai for his fancied theories and unwarrantedly casting aspersions on the government of the day without any evidence.

Slamming Rajdeep, political analyst Shehzad Poonawalla challenged Rajdeep’s assumption asking if he meant Army is in cahoots with the government over their “panic button” strategy. Poonawalla further questioned that should the Amarnath Yatris be made cannon fodder in the light of reliable intel inputs pointing towards possible terror attacks.

One Twitter tried to knock sense into Rajdeep by saying that reviving the economy is not a single day’s task but an ongoing process. He further added that security of the country is not sacrificed at the altar of the economy and that nation’s security trumps everything else.

Another Twitter user highlighted how Rajdeep Sardesai is trivialising the issue of security of Amarnath pilgrims despite the recovery of lethal weapons such as M-24 sniper and Pakistan made IEDs from the Valley.

A Twitter user who goes by the name Vin Sinners stated that because of such tweets, Rajdeep’s credibility has been continuously dwindling. Calling out Rajdeep’s hypocrisy, Vin said god-forbid if any attack takes place on the Amarnath Yatris, Rajdeep would be the first one to hold Amit Shah in the dock for failing to provide security to the pilgrims.

A country, as large and resourceful as India is fully capable and proficient in handling two disparate events such as faltering economy and National Security threat simultaneously. However, Rajdeep, from his long-standing habits, couldn’t stop undermining the country and its Armed forces, just because his preferred politicians are not at the helm of the affairs.

Mughal rulers should have built 2000 universities instead of Taj Mahal: SP leader Azam Khan

Perpetually embroiled in one or the other controversy, contentious Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan recently said in an interview that 2000 universities instead of Taj Mahal would have made Muslims the world’s most educated community. Casting his ire on Mughal rulers, Khan asserted if only they had concentrated on building education institutes and universities, India would have turned into a global hub of education, having a profound impact on Muslim literacy.

Azam Khan made this comment during an interview with Times of India. He said this while answering a question on whether he approves the SP-BSP alliance. He said that his party did an experiment thinking it would yield better results, but it didn’t work out. He added that party had unanimously thought that a strong alliance was needed to defeat BJP. Perhaps blaming lack of education in Muslims for the defeat of his party, Azam Khan said that Mughal kings should have made universities and education institutions instead of Taj Mahal. He asserted that 2,000 universities could have been established instead of one Taj Mahal. “India would have been the global hub of education and Muslims would have been the most educated community in the world”, he added.

Talking about his sexist poetry against BJP MP Rama Devi in Lok Sabha recently which had created stirred a furore in the parliament, the Urdu language has only love, kindness and humanity. Azam Khan said that he is ready to resign from Lok Sabha if what he had said was unparliamentary.

When asked about his controversial statements against women, Azam Khan denied the allegations. He said that he runs educational institutions for girls, and if he such a repeat offender, such complaints would have emerged from other places also. He said that Jaya Prada has made the allegations because she is now his political rival.

The SP leader also denied the allegations that he has grabbed land from farmers illegally for his university. He said people who have sold land to him have now filed cases against him, and some of them have criminal past also. He said that he is being called land shark only for four bighas of land. Khan is at the centre of land grabbing cases in Rampur as eight new cases of land squatting in the district have been filed against him. With this, the total count of cases against him has risen to 34. According to the complaints, farmers’ lands were illegally grabbed by the SP leader using forged documents for construction of Mohammed Ali Jauhar University in Rampur. The multi-million private university is run by Khan’s trust. The UP govt has also declared him as a land mafia on the Anti-Bhoo Mafia (anti-land mafia) portal of the state government.

Azam Khan also rejected the allegations that his university had stolen books from a madarsa, saying that the madarsa had closed down 60 years ago. He added that his university does not have any course on Islam, therefore it does not need books that are not part of its syllabus.

India rejects Pakistan’s offer of consular access for Kulbhushan Jadhav with riders, demands unimpeded access

A day after Pakistan offered partial consular access for Kulbhushan Jadhav, India today rejected the proposal asking Islamabad to offer full consular access to him. Sources said that Indian government, in its response on Thursday evening, asked Pakistan to provide “unimpeded consular access” in an “environment free from the fear of intimidation and reprisal, in the light of the orders of the international court of justice(ICJ).”

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands had directed Pakistan to stay Jadhav’s execution and allow him consular access. Based on ICJ’s verdict in a 15-1 decision on July 17, Pakistan had on July 30, sent its proposal to India but with 2 riders attached. One that Pakistani security personnel will be present during the meeting and second there will be CCTV cameras present in the room.

According to article 36 of the Vienna Convention, “Consular officer shall be free to communicate with nationals of the sending State and to have access to them.” The first rider by Pakistan is in clear violation of the Vienna Convention.

After Pakistan grudgingly offered to grant India consular access to Jadhav, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar had acknowledged the proposal. He said India was examining Pakistan’s proposal in the light of ICJ’s judgement relating to Jadhav’s case.

“We have received a proposal from Pakistan. We are at this point of time evaluating the proposal in light of the judgement of the International Court of Justice. We will maintain communication with Pakistan in this matter through diplomatic channels,” added Kumar during a weekly media briefing.

The Pakistani proposal had suggested a meet between Indian diplomat with Jadhav on Friday at 3 pm IST, which did not take place. During his weekly presser on Thursday, Pakistan spokesperson, Mohammad Faisal said, “We have offered the Indian High Commission to avail consular access on this Friday.”

The Pakistani proposal for this partial consular access for Kulbhushan Jadhav came 14 days after India scored a major diplomatic victory at the ICJ on July 17 when the International Court of Justice had ruled in India’s favour in his case.

The court unanimously found that it has jurisdiction in the case and it rejected Pakistan’s objections to the admissibility of India’s application. It found that India’s application was indeed admissible.

The court also ruled that Pakistan had violated the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations by not informing Jadhav about his rights under the convention and by not informing the Indian Consular officials in Pakistan about his arrest.

The ICJ said Pakistan deprived India of its right to have access to Jadhav, to visit him in detention, and to arrange for his legal representation. The court ordered Pakistan provide Jadhav with an effective review and reconsideration of his conviction and sentence.

Video shows Unnao rape accused Kuldeep Sengar’s aide bribing a cop outside jail where Sengar is lodged, UP police orders inquiry

In a shocking incident, the Unnao rape accused Kuldeep Sengar’s close aide Rinku Shukla was caught on camera bribing a policeman on duty outside the Sitapur jail where Sengar is currently lodged.

Rinku Shukla when confronted by Republic TV, agreed of not only giving money to the cop but also meeting the expelled BJP MLA, Kuldeep Sengar in jail. But he, however, claimed that he was not bribing the cop. “No, it is not my mentality to think that I will be allowed to meet Sengar only if I gave the cop money, I offered him money to have some tea as he was standing under the hot sun. I might have given him Rs 10-20. It was not a bribe,” he said.

Speaking about his political affiliation, Shukla said, “I am not a member of BJP but I am allied with the party. I am a Jila Panchayat member.  I am an Independent leader.”

He also agreed on meeting Sengar in jail. “I met him around 10-15 days ago. I met him with some other people. I met him as he was also an MLA like me. Many people meet him.”

UP jail administration has ordered an inquiry into the video shown on Republic TV where Sengar’s close aide is seen offering money to police officials. “I have not seen the video but it has come to our knowledge. We will get the matter probed and strict action will be taken. If policemen are found guilty they will be dismissed,” said Director General (DG), Prisons, Anand Kumar.

On Thursday, Republic TV came out with five videos that suggested the Unnao rape-accused Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s aides were bribing the police in exchange to be allowed to meet the MLA.

Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar is the prime accused in the 2017 high profile rape case. The case pertains to how the victim was lured and raped by a host of people, including the BJP MLA and how co-ordinated and meticulous schemes were hatched to silent the victim and intimidate her relatives by framing them in police cases based on flippant charges.

On Sunday, the victim of the Unnao rape case was travelling to Rae Bareli with her two aunts, and her lawyer Mahendra Singh when their vehicle was hit by a truck, rendering them critically injured. The vehicle collided with a truck going in the opposite direction towards Lalganj in UP. The victim is now battling for her life.

Two of her aunts were killed in the accident while her lawyer also sustained serious injuries. The woman’s family has filed a complaint alleging “conspiracy” behind the car crash.

The Supreme Court has instructed CBI to conclude the accident probe within 7 days. The trial court to hear the case on a day to day basis and complete the same within 45 days, said the CJI-led Supreme Court bench.

The SC bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has also delivered an order to transfer of five cases from Unnao rape case and accident to a competent court in Delhi.

Gujarat ‘hate crime’ fake, CCTV footage proves 3 Muslims youths were not beaten up for not chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’

0

The Godhara police today confirmed that the claims where three Muslim youths were allegedly beaten up in Godhara town in Central Gujurat late night on July 1 for not chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were completely untrue.

According to a report by Desh Gujurat, the Godhara police recovered CCTV footage in which it was clearly seen that the incident transpired due to a verbal spat between the two groups and it had nothing to do with the chanting of the religious slogan. SP Leena Patel confirmed, ‘We have obtained CCTV footage and have verified that it was seemingly a case of quarrel and the version regarding it being a result of not chanting Jai Shri Ram was wrong.’

According to a complaint lodged with the Godhara A Division police by one Siddiq Abdul Salam, a resident of Mohamadi mohalla in Godhara town, six unknown miscreants assaulted his son Samir (17) and two of his friends, Salman and Sohail for not chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

In his complaint, Siddiq Abdul, 40-year-old motor mechanic, said that his son along with his two friends went to Baba ni Madhi locality in Godhara town to take a round at around 10 pm last night when the six unknown people sitting on two motorcycles stopped them and asked them to chant Jai Shri Ram. When they refused to do so, they were beaten up, alleged Siddiq.

The assailants fled after they heard shouts of local people who gathered hearing about the incident, claimed Siddiq. HE further added that the place where the incident took place was a Hindu dominated locality, about a km away from where he lived.

However, investigations revealed that Siddiq was lying and police confirmed that the clash had nothing to do with chanting of any religious slogan.

In the footage obtained, it was clearly seen that the two groups were riding bikes close to each other and both parties engaged in a verbal spat which ultimately transformed into a physical altercation. Though investigations were on the police ruled out the religious angle completely.

The trio was admitted to the local civil hospital for treatment.

Recently, several such incidents of fake ‘hate crime’ have been reported where people have been faking this ‘forced to chant Jai Shri Ram’ stories to get noticed.

On July 29, Chandauli Police in Uttar Pradesh had denied allegations that the 17-year-old boy Khalid was beaten up and set on fire for refusing to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

On July 23 it was reported, how a youth named Sheikh Aamer in Aurangabad contrived a story that the 4 youths he had an altercation with had forced him to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan and filed his complaint on this basis at the police station to seek to grandstand from members of his community.

However, barely a day after filing a complaint that some persons had forcibly asked him to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’, the alleged victim Aamer went back on his statement. Aamer conceded that he fabricated the story of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan being enforced upon him to raise his stature among his community members and teach those who dare to challenge people from his community a lesson.

Terror threat to Amarnath Yatra: J and K government issues evacuation notice to Yatris, asks them to return immediately

The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a notice to Amarnath Yatris currently in the valley asking them to curtail their pilgrimage immediately and return home as soon as possible. The notice, undersigned by Shaleen Kabra, the principal secretary to the Home Department, cites the latest inputs on terror threats on the Yatra as the reason.

The notice says, “Keeping in view the latest inputs on terror threats, with specific targetting of the Amarnath Yatra, and given the security situation in the Kashmir valley, in the interest of the safety and security of the Amarnath Yatris, it is advised that they may curtail their stay in the valley immediately and take necessary measures to return as soon as possible.”

The Amarnath Yatra has been suspended since Sunday due to bad weather conditions on the route and mudslides. However, the Indian Army has held a press conference today at Srinagar where Gen KJS Dhillon, the commander of Chinar Corps revealed that an American M-24 sniper rifle and Pakistan made mines have been recovered from the Amarnath Yatra route.

It is notable here that a monumental troops movement has been reported in the valley, kindling speculations of a major scale operation by the central government. As of last night, it was reported that in addition to the 10,000 personnel that were ordered to be deployed in Kashmir last week, another 25,000 personnel, mostly CRPF, are being diverted there.

The CAPF has reportedly taken control of all entry and exit points to the Kashmir valley and the routes have been sealed. However, the MHA had stated that the 10,000 troops were yet all to arrive on their destinations and troop rotations are usual in the forces.

Ramon Magsaysay Award: Established by two CIA linked American organisations in memory of a CIA groomed Philippines president

NDTV journalist Ravish Kumar has been awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for the year 2019. Five persons have been selected for the prize this year, which is known as Asia’s Nobel Prize. The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation describes Ravish Kumar as one of India’s most influential TV journalists. While this award has been celebrated by the left-liberal chatterati, they are ignoring a very important aspect of this award, which is established by two American organisations with deep links with CIA, and it was established in the name of a former Philippines president who was actively supported by CIA in winning the election.

While most people know about the background of the Nobel prize, the background of the Ramon Magsaysay Award is not very well known. The award is named after Ramon Magsaysay, who was the president of Philippines from 1953 to his death in 1957. Ramon Magsaysay was described as an “America’s boy” by CIA, a person who was groomed by the CIA to protect the interests of the United States of America in Asia.

Manila has been the headquarters of CIA for Southeast Asia, and it has been influencing the politics in the Philippines for a long time. The USA has several military bases in the country, and it was a vital base for the USA during the cold year.

In the 1940s and 1950s, Philippines was witnessing the Hukbalahap, a communist guerrilla movement of peasant farmers against rich landowners. The movement was gaining popularity, which was suspected to have links with communists, and the USA feared that if the movement becomes successful, the country will go to the hands of Communists, which will result in the closure of American operations in the country. Therefore, suppressing the movement of Huks was very important to maintain American presence and interest in the Philippines, and the CIA had used Magsaysay to achieve that.

In 1950, then President Elpidio Quirino had appointed Ramon Magsaysay as the Secretary of National Defense, at the urging of the head of the Joint US Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG) and the US Ambassador. Days later, CIA officer Edward Lansdale, had set up his office in Magsaysay’s office. Landsdale was officially an advisor of JUSMAG, but actually, he headed the CIA’s Office of Policy Coordination in the Philippines. Lansdale was a pioneer in clandestine operations and psychological warfare, and he had developed and used many such techniques in the Philippines. He worked as an advisor of Magsaysay, teaching him how to combat the Huk movement using psychological warfare.

Magsaysay was important for the CIA in its long-term plans in the country, and it had set up and funded the National Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) for this purpose. CIA’s plan was to make him president of the Philippines, as it was felt that Quirino was not successful in controlling growing communist influence in the country.

Landsdale has said in his memoir that his order from the US government was to stop the Communist-led Huks in gaining power in the Philippines and forming the government. His job was to groom Ramon to achieve this.

CIA’s plan was very detailed and robust, which included even losing an election to build up a clean image of Magsaysay. They persuaded him to ensure that the Senate election in 1951 was clean and fair, which had resulted in Magsaysay’s party losing all nine seats. But it was a huge PR move for him, as he was now seen as the cleanest leader in a country known for electoral malpractices by ruling parties. He was hailed as the man of the year, a national hero by media, and declared the next President by Time magazine which carried him on its cover, all thanks to American efforts.

American funded media campaign in support of Ramon Magsaysay continued until the elections, creating a very popular image for him. CIA had also persuaded him to bring reforms in the military, and take a tough position against corruption. Of course, these were good moves for the country, but the CIA wanted these steps to effectively defeat the Huks, and create a good image for him to ensure victory in the election.

Foreigners were banned from contributing to election funding in the Philippines, but American companies had donated considerable amounts of money to Magsaysay’s party Nacionalista which was facing fund shortages at that time. CIA also worked towards ensuring that Magsaysay becomes the next president, not incumbent Quirino from the same party. And this included many ‘dirty tricks’ of CIA, not just otherwise good moves like free election and combating corruption. According to CIA Manila station chief General Ralph B. Lovett, once President Quirino was drugged before a speech by the agency “so that he would appear incoherent”. CIA had also managed to tarnish his image over a trivial corruption issue.

Close to the elections, a Magsaysay-for-president campaign was founded by the agency, running a massive domestic and international publicity campaign bosting Magsaysay’s image. Landsdale himself has revealed that the CIA chief has offered him $5 million to arrange the election, but he said that $1 million was enough, which was delivered to him in a suitcase.

All these efforts of the CIA were successful when Roman Magsaysay won the elections in 1953 and became the president. He was one of the most popular presidents of the country, due to his clean image, his anti-corruption efforts, and the reforms he brought to the governance. He had also successfully eliminated the Hukbalahap, with the active help of American forces. He retained a close relationship with the CIA and USA during his term.

President Magsaysay died in a plane crash in 1957, and the Ramon Magsaysay Award was established in his memory. It may be noted that the award was constituted by New York-based Rockefeller Brothers Fund. In 2000, Ramon Magsaysay Emergent Leadership Award was established by Ford Foundation, another American organisation. Both these organisations are known for working for American interests in foreign countries, and have a history of closely working with the CIA. In fact, the Ford Foundation is alleged to be a philanthropic facade of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Rockefeller Brothers Fund played a crucial role in CIA’s cultural cold war, working on promoting modern art, helping CIA’s efforts to popularise modern abstract art across the world. It is now a known fact that the CIA had used modern art as a ‘weapon’ in its ‘cultural war’ against communism, and American non-government organisations were crucial players in this war. Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s trustee Nelson Rockefeller was the president of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, which had helped in moving around and exhibiting abstract art. The museum was established by Rockefeller’s mother. Several top-ranked CIA officials were in the board of the museum, confirming the close link between the agency and the organisation.

Therefore, the Magsaysay award, which is celebrated by left-liberals, has a direct link with the CIA and the United States America, the two entities that the left-liberals hate the most.

American M-24 sniper, Pakistan made mine recovered from Amarnath Yatra route: No one will be allowed to disrupt peace, says Army

Chinar Corps Commander Lt General K.J.S. Dhillon held a press conference on Friday elaborating on the situation in Jammu & Kashmir with other officers of the Indian Army. He asserted that the IEDs and terrorists expert in them point towards a definitive Pakistan hand in terrorism in Kashmir.

In addition, a Pakistani landmine has also been recovered from terrorists. The Army considers it to be definitive evidence of Pakistani involvement in terrorism in the valley and has asserted that it will not be tolerated.

The mine was displayed by the Army at the press conference. It bears the marks of the Pakistan Ordnance Factory.

Furthermore, an American M-24 sniper rifle with a telescope was recovered from the Amarnath Yatra route. It points towards the threat of terrorism the devotees of Amarnath face.

The Army also spoke clearly on the menace of home-grown terrorism. The country was informed that 83% of terrorists in Kashmir begin as stone pelters. 64% of them die within a year, 7% die within the first 10 days. The Army told the mothers in the valley that if they were willing to allow their sons to pelt stone at security forces for 500 rupees, then he will become terrorist in the future. The unsaid implication was that their sons will be dead within a year.

There was also a great terror threat to Amarnath Yatris. The Army said that IED attacks were planned against them. However, the route has been ‘sanitized’ by the Army.

Currently, the Amarnath Yatra is suspended due to bad weather conditions in the area. Mudslides and shooting stones were reported from the route. The Yatra is expected to resume after August 4.

The anti-terror UAPA Amendment Bill 2019 passed in Rajya Sabha as Home Minister Amit Shah leads the charge

In a rebuttal against the apprehensions raised by Congress on the amendments suggested by the BJP government in the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Home Minister Amit Shah took charge in Rajya Sabha asserting that the procedures enlisted in his government’s proposed amendments to UAPA Act are elaborate and they do not discriminate the individuals based on their identity.

After the motion to send the bill to Select Committee was turned down, the bill was passed in the upper house of the parliament. Upon receiving the President’s assent, the bill will become a law as it was already passed by the lower house of the parliament.

Earlier Congress leader P Chidambaram had opposed amendments to the UAPA act claiming that the reasons for the amendments tendered by the BJP are dubious. Former home minister Chidambaram asserted that though the reasons for amendments says ‘to empower NIA’ but in reality, it would empower the Centre to add or remove an individual’s name. Chidamabaram opposed the designation of individuals as terrorists and claimed that the banning of terror organisations was sufficient.

Another Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, known for being the earliest proponent of ‘Hindu terror’ bogey, appeared to cast aspersions on the intent of the government. Singh further alleged that BJP had compromised on terror, first in the Rubaiya Saeed case and then by releasing Masood Azhar during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time.

Rubaiya Saeed, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s sister was kidnapped by Kashmiri separatist Yasin Malik on 8th December, 1989. Her father Mufti Mohammad Saeed was former Home Minister. JKLF terorists were behind the kidnapping. They had demanded the release of five of their terrorists who were in prison. After 15 days of negotiations, media frenzy and drama, the five terrorists were released by the then Indian government in exchange of Rubaiya’s freedom. The five terrorists released by the then VP Singh government were Abdul hamid Shekh, a Pakistani terorist Sher Khan, Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Altaf Ahemed and Javed Ahemed Jargar.

Singh went a step further in asserting that the Home Minister Amit Shah is using state agencies to target rivals and he is not acting like an HM but as BJP President.

Responding to the allegations levelled by Congress leaders, Amit Shah recounted how the BJP had supported the UAPA act and all the three amendments to it which came in 2004, 2008 and 2013 under Congress regime. Answering to P Chidambaram, Shah said, “We propose to designate individuals as terrorists because when terror organisations are banned, these individuals who form the terror groups, form another organisation. Till when are we going to keep banning terror organisations?”

Shah then addressed Digvijaya Singh’s concerns stating that the Congress leader is angry because he lost the elections. Shah continued saying Congress misused the laws during the Emergency but they have the temerity to accuse others of vendetta. Taking a swipe at Singh, Shah said, “NIA didn’t punish anyone in the 3 cases because in earlier cases during Congress regime, concerted attempts were made to link a particular religion to terror.”

Following the heated discussion, the motion to send the UAPA bill to the Select Committee was turned down as Nos scored 104 and Ayes were just 85. The bill went for voting it finally got passed in the Rajya Sabha. The bill was already passed in the Lok Sabha.
