All of Rahul Gandhi’s dreams and promises are coming true, at least on this website

Rahul Gandhi is a visionary. His visions, future plans and his ideas for India’s youth are so great, the depths of their utility and possibilities are unfathomable for the common minds of petty political critics. Who could have thought about the possibility of linking all the MRI machines or a machine that converts potato into gold? Even the makers of Westworld on HBO seems to have been inspired by the idea that Rahul Gandhi hinted at because the human-looking robots on the show behaved very much like linked MRIs. JK Rowling would have considered re-naming her debut book Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone because who needs a stone that can only turn metals into gold when we can have a machine that can turn potatoes into gold? The whole mystical art of Alchemy has been one misplaced endeavour indeed.

Imagine a world where not only Mrs Obama cooks in Made in Jaunpur patilas but Queen Elizabeth uses Made in Aligarh locks to safeguard the treasures stolen from India, Vladimir Putin uses Made in Chitrakoot mobiles to sabotage elections in the North Pole and Chinese President Xi Jinping plans to do a Kailash Mansarovar Yatra because all the Chinese youth who got jobs through Indians clicking selfies incessantly, want to vote for Rahul Gandhi. Would not that be a beautiful, beautiful world?

Rahul Gandhi does try to let everyone know about his dreams and visions but, as we said, not all of us have the required acumen to understand it. Take for example Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He had mocked the princeling lately saying that while Rahul is making promises of building mobile factories everywhere he visits, his own constituency in Amethi is yet to even make a ‘Patli pin ka charger’. Chouhan’s comments had started a whole new hashtag on Twitter #MadeInAmethi. However, while most of the country is busy making fun of the Congress prince, a group of kindred spirits have gone ahead and made a website that makes all (well most of) Rahul Gandhi’s visions come true. Yes, we are speaking about www.madeinamethi.com. It is not a mere website but a portal to another world, a pathway where mediocrity ends and Rahul Gandhi style ingenious brilliance begins.

The website offers an extensive range of products, from made in Amethi Rafail Jets to Gohler showers and BHEL manufactured Gantail phones. It has Rahul Gandhi listed as its CEO and ‘social worker’ Mia Khalifa as the brand ambassador, who swears that the Mia in her name stands for Made In Amethi.

The website also features an exclusive list of products made in Amethi by the exceptional foresight of their CEO.

madeinamethi.com

If the sceptic and unappreciative people of India think that that is all the brilliant entrepreneurs working under the brand name have to offer, they could not be more wrong. The website offers a whole lot of products that are not only ingenious but are engineering marvels too.

Form a G-phone that charges via an apple, a ‘Vadramobil’ that is literally real-estate in motion to specially designed Pogoplay, the website has the potential to put Jame Bond’s Doctor Q to shame with its innovative ideas.

That is not all, the website even has a separate section that announces upcoming products, based on scheduled rallies of Rahul Gandhi, because rallies are where Mr Gandhi ‘invents’ these high-tech products and establishes factories.

The website is breaking records in terms of sale and popularity. There is a real-time calculator displayed that claims that so far more than 64,000 people have ordered products from this website. Indians finally seems to be waking up to modern technology and innovations.

Earlier there had been a website called www.rahulgandhiachevements.com. Though the new website selling products envisioned by Gandhi seems much more popular among netizens. People on Twitter are discussing a lot about it and the products are selling like hot samosas.

While Sanghi, patriarchal and communal politicians of India are busy in mundane things like distributing gas cylinders and health insurances, the website inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s vision and guidance seems to be the only technologically dedicated, innovation-focused and future-ready platform that is aiming to fulfil the long-standing scientific innovation gap in India’s history.

If the popularity continues, we will not be surprised when people all over the world will be flocking to Amethi to witness the miracles at work, aliens in faraway planets will be attempting to borrow Mr Gandhi’s ideas and Amethi will leave Detroit, Shanghai, and Stuttgart far behind in being an industrial and technological hub.

UP Government to invokes the rarely used Police Incitement to Disaffection Act against Vivek Tiwari murder apologists

The UP government has initiated a seldom-used law, the Police Incitement to Disaffection Act, against unknown people for rallying behind the alleged murderer Prashant Chaudhary, involved in the murder of an Apple executive in the intervening night of 28 and 28 September 2018.

According to the report, since the arrest of the accused Prashant Chaudhary, social media was abuzz with sympathetic posts seeking financial and legal support to help Prashant in fighting the case. On Wednesday, the DGP described these notorious attempts to aid the alleged murderer as a ploy to derail the murder investigation and malign UP police. A police constable in Etah district was suspended on grounds of indiscipline for his alleged Facebook post supporting Chaudhary.

Invoking the Police Incitement to Disaffection Act, the government has also suspended a constable named Sarvesh Chaudhary, posted in Rae Bareli for extending his support to Prashant on his social media page. IN his 11 minute video, Sarvesh reportedly claims that he had offered and been collecting money for Chaudhary while taking a dig at the police officers and the government.

Addressing the media, DIG (Law and Order) Praveen Kumar ruled out resentment amongst the police force and added that the constables who were sacked in 2012 after irregularities were detected in recruitment have joined hands with the criminal elements to defame the police force. He said that social media activities of policemen were under scanner and action would be taken against those policemen who violate the service rules under Police Incitement to Disaffection Act

Muslims in Alwar village break temple structure in school meant for Saraswati idol

0

An incident of temple destruction has been reported in the Kakrali Mev village of Alwar district of Rajasthan. A temple structure built in the campus area of a government school to house Saraswati Mata was demolished by the locals in the area. The murti was supposed to be installed during Navratri. According to the reports, the locals vehemently protested the setting up of a temple in the school but the teachers of the school did not entertain the protesters and went ahead to build the structure.

The village Kakrali Mev has an overwhelming population of Mev-Muslim community and out of 573 children enrolled in the school, 526 belong to their community. The community members alleged that with the intention to politicise the surroundings, the school was planning to build a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. When their appeals didn’t work, they threatened the school authorities that their children will stop attending the school if the construction is not stopped. Undeterred by such threats, the school completed the temple structure. Tensions in the village soared when the temple structure was defiled by aggressive members of Mev-Muslim community in the night of October 2, 2018.

The principal of the school, Ms Pushpa asserted that the construction of Saraswati Temple in the school campus was in line with the tradition of having Saraswati murtis at educational institutes and that there was no politics or any political party involved in it.

ACP Ashok Chauhan and police station-in-charge Ramnivas Mina along with their police teams are deployed in the village to control rising tensions. Members of the Hindu organizations have called for an action against the perpetrators.

When OpIndia team contacted Ramgarh Alwar police station seeking latest status on the incident, the authorities refused to comment on the issue. The issue is evidently being hushed up as even many MSM outlets have chosen to turn a blind eye on this development.

Journalist recounts horror tales of how she was sexually harassed by Editors of big media houses

0

It has been over 24 hours since Twitter has been abuzz with women speaking out against sexual harassment they have faced on hands of standup comics, social media celebrities and journalists, and such stories are still surfacing. Writer and journalist Sandhya Menon took to Twitter to recount her horror stories, naming the men who had allegedly made unwanted, sexual advances against her and when she complained to the higher-ups, she was ‘punished’.

She first talks about Manoj Ramachandran, Senior Associate Editor, Hindustan Times, who back in 2005 allegedly sent her an offensive message to her and then apologised for having sent it when he was ‘drunk’.

She retells how Ramachandran reportedly got her number from a mutual friend and texted her ‘I want to f*ck you’ and later claimed that he meant to send the message to his wife, and not Sandhya.

She then talks about another incident involving K R Sreenivas, Resident Editor, Times of India, who back in 2008 during the launch of Bangalore Mirror, tried to make an unwanted advance towards her.

She claims that after the trial print run of the paper was over, Sreenivas offered to drop her home and while doing so, tried to feel her up saying ‘he and his wife had grown apart’. When she escalated the issue, the woman heading the sexual harassment committee and BCCL allegedly dismissed it by saying how it is unlikely Sreeni would so something like that.

Third man she names is Gautam Adhikari, founding editor of DNA and currently Executive Editor of Times of India.

Adhikari had just moved back from the US to Mumbai and asks Menon and her colleague to show him around the new city, and after a dinner involving the three of them, he offered to drop them home. Since Sandhya lived farther away, she was to be dropped last. However, as she was about to get out of the car, after the polite hug and peck on the cheek, Adhikari kissed her.

He later called her and told her not to let anyone know about that incident.

She then narrates how after that incident, he even asked her to join him for a vacation in Lonavla.

Currently, Manoj Ramchandran is Senior Associate Editor in Hindustan Times, Sreenivas is Resident Editor of Times of India, Hyderabad and Gautam Adhikari was founding Editor of DNA and currently Executive Editor at Times of India.

AIB founder admits to having known about employee’s sexual transgressions, yet did nothing

Much has been said about the sexual harassment mounted by members of ‘All India Bakchod’, the stand-up comedy group. Many victims have come out in the open to recount horror tales of how their comedian sexually harassed them by sending unsolicited obscene pictures. One victim also claimed that the management of AIB was alerted to Utsav Chakraborty’s behaviour and did nothing.

Now, AIB has issued a statement apologising for letting their former employees down.

The note published by AIB starts by addressing the allegations that AIB knew about the transgressions of then-employee Utsav after he left employment. The note then admits that they ‘messed up’ and that all the conversations they had the time, now in hindsight look like an excuse.

The note admits that Tanmay Bhatt had received details and specific information about the allegations against Utsav Chakraborty and that Tanmay had “confronted” Utsav. It says that Utsav had then proceeded to call the victim which led to further harassment. It says that since the victim did not want to pursue any legal action, Tanmay didn’t inform anyone else at AIB about Utsav’s sexual harassment and “the matter ended there”. They say that since AIB wasn’t informed they continued to work with Utsav and admit that was a mistake.

They go on to say that since then they have heard “stray insinuations” about Utsav’s behaviour and that these “insinuations” were vague without any specific details about sexual harassment.

The dichotomy here is that AIB note says that they got to know about Utsav’s sexual transgressions after he left employment, but even after they got to know, they continued to work with Utsav in a freelance capacity.

Interestingly, yesterday when the sexual harassment allegations surfaced, AIB had tweeted insinuating themselves that they had no relations with Utsav and that they were unaware of the allegations altogether. In today’s statement, they have admitted that they have continued to work with Utsav in a freelancing capacity.

The statement published by AIB makes it amply clear that AIB, or at least one its senior founding members, knew of Utsav Chakraborty’s sexual harassment of women then, and even later, continued to “hear insinuations” which they refused to take seriously.

Tanmay Bhatt, who has recently started pretending to be the harbinger of women’s rights too took to Twitter to admit that he knew about the transgressions and basically did nothing about it.

It is also worthy to note here that Tanmay Bhatt himself has in the past normalised lewd behaviour and sexual harassment on social media by passing it off as humour.

This tweet by Tanmay Bhatt from 2012 proves that Tanmay himself is responsible for normalising the behaviour pattern of being lewd and sexually menacing on social media. At that time he used to pass it off as humour.

The story of the victims are scary and AIB’s admittance that they knew about the sexual harassment and yet did nothing points to a greater malaise in the entertainment industry and especially, the stand-up comedy fraternity that has found its new found love of pretending to be ‘feminists’.

India inks deal with Russia to buy S-400 air defence system: All you need to know

India signed a deal with Russia to purchase 5 squadrons of S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile. During the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, the deal was signed to purchase the missile system for $5.20 billion (₹40,000 crore). It is one of the biggest defence deals that India has ever made.

The S-400 missile is one of the most powerful surface-to-missiles in the world, which has been dubbed as the “one of the best air-defence systems currently made”. The missile is system is made of three main components, the missile launcher, a powerful radar system, and a command centre. The system can intercept bombers, fighter jets, drones, missiles and destroy them in the air. The system has a range of 400 km, which means airborne threats can be attacked inside the enemy country itself. Even advanced jets with stealth technology find it difficult to escape from the system’s cutting-edge radar system. The missile system can track 300 targets and engage dozens of them at the same time.

The negotiation to purchase the missile system is going on for several years after Defence Acquisition Council had approved the acquisition in 2015. The missile system consists of four different missiles to cover the entire range. The very-long-range missile 40N6 (400 km), the long-range 48N6 (250 km), the medium-range 9M96E2 (120 km) and the short-range 9M96E (40 km). As the cost the system is very high, former defence minister Manohar Parrikar had ordered a review of the system. After the review, it was determined that India does not need the shorter-range missiles. Therefore, long-term acquisition plan for over 100 each Medium and Short range systems was cut down. Due to this cut, India will be saving ₹ 49,300 crore over the next decade in the purchase of the system.

Other than the high cost, another factor that was coming in the way of the deal was opposition from the United States of America. The US has been threatening of sanctions against India if the deal is inked. According to the Countering America’s Adversaries through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) of the USA, US government is required to impose sanctions against any country that has “significate translations” with Russia, North Korea and Iran.

The missile system will be a big boost for India’s defence, as both Pakistan and China have acquired significant air power. Pakistan has F-16 jets from the USA and JF-17 Thunder from China. China has a huge collection of advanced military aircraft, which includes Chinese made planes and planes imported from Russia. China has also ordered for six S-400 missile systems from Russia.

Shia Waqf board chief calls ‘Babri Masjid a blot to India’, says it is a ‘crime to call it a mosque’

0

The Shia Waqf board chief, Wasim Rizvi, who has always been controversial among Islamic clerics, has yet again come up with a statement which will presumably not be very well received by his community.

In a controversial statement, as reported by Zeenews, the Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board chief has addressed the Babri Masjid and blamed it of being a ‘blot to the country‘. He said that it is a crime to call “that blot as a mosque“.

Wasim Rizvi, who has been batting for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya for quite some time, pointed out that during the excavation, a square made of bricks was found at the bottom of the 50 pillars of the temple in Ayodhya. A total of 265 old remnants of the temple were found on the basis of which the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) had reached the decision that a temple was buried underneath the Babri Masjid.

Rizvi reiterated that there should be an agreement and the right to build a Ram temple should be returned to the Hindus while the Muslims should build a new mosque in Lucknow.

He wrapped up by affirming that at the backdrop of such a scenario, calling Babri, a masjid will be unjust and against the principles of Islam. “There is still time the ‘mullas’ of Babri should accept their mistakes and accept the preachings of Prophet Mohammed,” he said.

Rivzi had earlier to contend on the same lines saying that, “There was never a mosque on that site in Ayodhya and there can never be a mosque there. It is the birthplace of Lord Ram and only a Ram temple will be built. Sympathisers of Babar are destined to lose.”

This isn’t the only time Wasim Rizvi is in the news for his statements. Last year as well the Shia Central Waqf Board of Uttar Pradesh had told the apex court that it was willing to build a mosque in a Muslim-dominated area, at an equitable distance from the Ram Janmabhoomi site. This pro-Ram Mandir stance of Rizvi was in line with the Shia Wakf Board’s deportment that Ram Mandir be constructed at the Janambhoomi area.

In fact, at the beginning of 2018, Rizvi in one of his statements had urged the Muslims who were opposing Ram Mandir to go back to Pakistan.

Wasim Rivzi has by now managed to constitute a troop of nitpickers from his own community lobbying against him for his bona fide opinions.

It was reported how he urged PM Modi to shut down Madrasas by claiming that they are a breeding ground for terrorists. This angered a few radical Muslims who then proceeded to put a Rs 10 lakh bounty on his head for his statement.

Rizvi has been critical of ‘extremist’ Sunnis and has claimed in the past that they are propagating radicalism in India. Recently, in a video, he had criticised fundamentalists for trying to spread radicalism in India and had added that Muslims who keep beard without a moustache are fundamentalists. In yet another statement he had called out on Muslims eating beef and stated that killing of cows is ‘haram’ (forbidden) in Islam and it should stop.

Sonia Gandhi’s NAC: Members associated with foreign funded NGOs drafted the Communal Violence Bill

The civil society was known to exert a disproportionate influence on policy-making during the UPA regime. The UPA set up the National Advisory Council (NAC) to advise the then Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh and was chaired by Sonia Gandhi for much of the UPA’s tenure. Many believed that the NAC was the unofficial Prime Minister’s Office. In this article, we would investigate the members of the committee who were responsible for drafting one of the most severely contentious laws.

The draft of the Communal Violence Bill, officially referred to as the Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, 2011, would have proved to be one of the most disastrous laws if it were to be enacted. It assumed that only religious or linguistic minorities and people from the Scheduled Castes and Tribes could be the victims of communal violence conveniently ignoring all ground realities. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had correctly said then that the bill was anti-majority and presumed that the majority community is always to blame for the communal violence.

In 2010, the NAC entrusted the drafting of the Communal Violence Bill to a 32-member group. Here, we shall look into the background of some of these people who were either part of the Drafting Committee or the 19 member Advisory group.

Shabnam Hashmi

Shabnam Hashmi is one of the founders of the NGO ANHAD whose FCRA registration was cancelled in 2016 by the NDA government due to “undesirable” activities against the public interest. As per DeshGujarat, ANHAD was majorly a Church funded organization.

Ram Puniyani

Ram Puniyani had opposed the hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru. He is associated with the Center for Study of Society and Secularism (CSSS) and ANHAD. The CSSS is an NGO that receives funds from abroad, most notably the Heinrich Boll Foundation, a think tank for policy reform that maintains close ties with the German Green Party (Alliance 90/The Greens). Asghar Ali Engineer, the founder of the CSSS, was also in the advisory group for the drafting of the bill.

Usha Ramanathan

As per SheThePeople, Usha Ramanathan is a member of Amnesty International’s Advisory Panel on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Gautam Navlakha, the arrested Urban Naxal, and Usha Ramanathan appear to be well acquainted with each other. They were speakers at an event at JNU that was concerned with the repeal of AFSPA across the country. They were also part of a protest at Jantar Mantar which called upon the Prime Minister of India and the Union Minister of Chemicals to resolve the issues related to additional compensation with regards to the Bhopal gas disaster immediately.

Justice S Muralidhar, who was a member of the two-man bench of the Delhi High Court that set aside the August 28 order of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) granting transit remand of Gautam Navlakha to the Maharashtra Police citing non-compliance of various mandatory legal requirements, is the husband of Usha Ramanathan as per a TOI report.

Harsh Mander

Harsh Mander is the director for the Center for Equity Studies. In his article on the political marginalization of Muslims which was shared by current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, Mander writes, “Muslims are today’s castaways, political orphans with no home, for virtually every political party. This despite India being home to a tenth of the world’s Muslims, around 180 million people, making it the largest Muslim country after Indonesia and Pakistan. There has never been a harder time to be a Muslim in India, not since the stormy months that followed India’s Partition.”

Mander is also a known Ishrat apologist, the female LeT operative who was killed an encounter along with three others by Crime Branch Officials in Gujarat. As per DeshGujarat, Mander’s NGO has received a significant amount of financial contribution from foreign organizations.

Roop Rekha Verma

Verma is an ex-Vice Chancellor of the Lucknow University. Recently, she was invited to an event of the All India Professionals’ Congress. We have documented her ideology and background in an earlier report. Verma vehemently opposes the celebration of our culture in government institutions, even Saraswati Puja at educational institutes. She has also expressed her reservations with the verdict of the Allahabad High Court which had paved the way for a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. She is also believed to have supported the cause of expelled students at Lucknow University who had indulged in vandalism at the campus and attacked teachers.

Gagan Sethi

Gagan Sethi is a Board Member of Oxfam India. He has been a member of the Planning Commission of India and was appointed to the National Human Rights Commission. As per Oxfam, his clients have included GTZ, Swiss Development Co-operation, Christian Aid, Ford Foundation, Misereor, IGSSS, Swiss Aid in India. Sethi is also the Vice Chairperson for Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), an organization that receives funding from abroad. He is the founder of JanVikas, another FCRA NGO. He is on the Governing Board of Human and Institutional Development Forum (HIDF) as well.

John Dayal

Arnab Goswami’s punching bag also lent his valuable wisdom for the drafting of the bill. John Dayal’s bigotry has been well documented by us at OpIndia.com. He is one of the ‘prominent personalities’ batting for Rohingyas as well. As per Wikipedia, he is the secretary general of the All India Christian Council and a past president of the All India Catholic Union.

Others

Apart from these people, other highly respected members of civil society include Dr Manzoor Alam, General Secretary, All India Milli Council and Maulana Niaz Farooqui, General Secretary, Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind, Farah Naqvi and more of the same kind. Teesta Setalvad was part of this group as well.

Conclusion

Thus, it is clear that people who are associated with NGOs that receive foreign funding from abroad were charged with the responsibility of drafting the extremely controversial Communal Violence Bill. Fortunately, the law was never implemented. But it does call into question the functioning of the UPA regime. The Congress party needs to answer why were people who received contributions from foreign entities, often missionary organizations, tasked with such a responsibility.

‘Digi yatra’: Say goodbye to boarding pass, ‘smile’ to board your flight from April onward

By next April, passengers on domestic air routes will simply have to flash their smiles to board their flights at 6 airports in the country. Taking digitisation drive to another level, passengers’ smile will become their boarding pass for domestic flights at 2 airports i.e Hyderabad and Bengaluru by the end of February 2019 and 4 other airports Pune, Vijaywada, Varanasi and Kolkata will join the list by April 2019. “Passengers will be taken at face value” said Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu on Thursday while unveiling government’s ‘Digi Yatra’ project.

Aviation secretary R N Choubey said facial recognition system will be operational first for these 6 airports and based on the learnings gathered from the experience, it will be implemented across the country in a phased manner. Delhi and Mumbai airports are next in line to be equipped with this system. The other Airports Authority of India (AAI) airports will get the system under which hassle-free boarding of domestic flights will be a reality.

Flyers wanting to opt for voluntary DY service will need to generate a unique digi yatra ID by giving their details on aviation ministry portal and give this unique ID at the time of booking air tickets. On their first visit to the airport after getting a DY-number linked air ticket, flyers will have to furnish their ID credentials used to generate unique ID to get it verified. Those who are willing to share their Aadhaar details can complete the verification online. Once successfully verified, the photo of the flyer will be added to the corresponding DY profile in a secure central database.

According to the government, this move will accelerate the throughput of the passengers at airports, reduce the costs as lesser manpower will be required for verifying IDs and reduce the time flyer usually takes while completing the processes at the airport. The government also feels that this move will further accentuate the capacity augmentation of Indian airports. Union Minister Suresh Prabhu asserted that the facial data of passengers who opt for DY will be absolutely safe.

“A non-profit JV company will be formed with AAI and PPP airports as stakeholders. This company will own and secure the DY platform where flyers’ data will be saved. Airports opting for facial recognition will need to take data from this JV, where AAI will have less than 50% stake. The database of three places – DY platform, airlines, and airports – will talk to each other when a passenger uses DY at an airport,” Choubey said.

Jayant Sinha, junior aviation minister, said that they are deliberating on the timelines to see how much before a flight, passengers opting DY have to arrive at the airport. DY aims at reducing congestion at boarding gates and it will grant access to boarding gates only closer to departure time to passengers.

I am a man. Nothing justifies being a sexual predator. Being a pervert enabler is not ok

Yesterday, it was revealed that a comedian associated with the AIB was a sexual predator. As woman after woman came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Utsav Chakraborty, the woke millennial feminist came forward with an ‘apology’ if it can be called that.

In his first tweet about the incident, Utsav said that the whole issue needs a lot of contexts and is far more complicated than it appeared to be.

It was only after this initial statement that began the truly most astonishing and ridiculous defence of one’s sexually predatory behaviour. I called his thread on Twitter an ‘apology’ but I have second thoughts about it now as nowhere in it were mentioned the three simple words, “I am sorry”.

The thread was the most comprehensive instance of mental gymnastics to avoid taking responsibility for one’s appalling conduct. At one point, Utsav proclaims that receiving nudes was an instant rush and he would basically ask anyone who was nice to him to send him nudes. He says, “To me, getting nudes from a person was an instant rush. I was not in pain for that brief moment. Someone trusted me with that information. I would feel honoured and not ugly. But this caught me into a weird spiral. Where I would ask anyone who was nice to me in the slightest.”

Your mental health is not an excuse for your being a sexual predator. There’s no way any man can justify any of this. This is wrong. It appears that woke male feminists do not have the minimum IQ to comprehend that asking women for nudes or sending pictures of your penis to them is wrong and indefensible. It’s embarrassing to witness the manner in which Utsav has tried to defend himself. There is nothing in that thread that justifies his conduct. Many people have mental health issues but it appears only male feminists use it as an excuse when they are revealed to be sexual predators.

Now, it has become evident that many many men in the stand-up scene were aware of his vile behaviour and yet ignored his disgraceful conduct while lecturing the rest of the world on how to treat women. There is an effort now to further the narrative that all men need to introspect about their behaviour here.

Sorry, but we need to be more specific than merely saying that the ‘men’ need to introspect. The only people who do need to introspect here are the ones directly involved with the incident. I am inclined to believe that there are decent men even in the stand-up scene and there is something perverse in asserting that people who were completely unaware of the incident need to introspect as well.

It is a convenient excuse that male feminists come up with whenever they are caught ignoring sexual misconduct by one of their own. They come up with vague statements that ‘men’ need to introspect and ‘men’ need to treat women better. Sorry, but I am having none of it.

As a young man, I can’t find one good reason why I or any of the good men I know need to introspect for the sexual misconduct of a man we don’t even know and the subsequent cover-up by his woke millennial feminist friends. We had no part in this, we do not tolerate such conduct in our own friend circles. Dear Male Feminists, this is on you. You have participated and developed a culture that encourages your comrades to harass women sexually, this whole thing is on you, not ‘All Men’.

This is a classic tactic that every guilty person uses, “Well, everyone does it!” And it’s not them that need to introspect but everyone. Sorry, a culture where asking for nudes and sending nudes is considered acceptable is alien to most of us. We are not part of that culture, we did not harass any women. Your friend did it and you covered it up, have some shame instead of lecturing us even at this disgraceful juncture of your lives.

Most men are aware that asking strangers to send nudes is not appropriate, most men will either disown their friends or inflict consequences on them to ensure that he rectifies his conduct. But here we have people who were well aware of their friend’s terrible misconduct and yet did absolutely nothing to stop it. And yet, they have the gall to tell us that we should introspect. Sorry, pal. You covered up for a sexual predator. I don’t appreciate being lectured by people who cover up for sexual predators.

The whole incident also reveals why so many female feminists have such a terrible opinion of all men. It appears to me that it’s so because most of the men in their circles are either sick perverts themselves or cover up for people who are perverts. One can almost sympathize with them.
