In her plea, Karat alleged that in speeches made by the two politicians, they threatened to use force to remove protestors, who were holding protests at Shaheen Bagh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
"Mohamed Shariq had conspired with co-accused Syed Yasin and a foreign-based IS online handler to promote IS terror activities in India with the aim to terrorise the society through IED attacks. He was also involved in fundraising activities for IS," the NIA said.
The accused planned to carry out strikes in Bengaluru, Karnataka, as part of the anti-India agenda of the Pakistan-based terror outfit, Lashkar-e-Taiba.
