During the Haldwani violence, loca journalists revealed that the Islamist mob singled out Hindu journalists by checking their IDs before attacking them

'DNN News' journalist Pankaj Agarwal told OpIndia that the attackers selectively singled out Hindus among journalists, Municipal Corporation officials and police personnel.

OpIndia spoke with Pankaj Saxena, an injured journalist from 'HNN News' who came to the hospital for treatment.

An eyewitness of the incident told OpIndia that Faheem Qureshi died of his own bullet during the violence in Haldwani.

Bombs were made by pouring gasoline into glass and plastic bottles and magazine was also seized from police personnel.

 Deepanshu saw 100-150 female officials running wearing helmets to save their lives. He added that many of them suffered injuries. Some of them were taken to the hospital. Deepanshu stated that he offered water to the injured and took them to the hospital.

Qasim Khan is feared like his father Munnan Khan. He was engaged in several unlawful activities along with the latter.

Our investigation has revealed that not only streets, villages, and a competition are named after Munnan Khan but also his name is mentioned in government records.
