Delhi: Security increased outside Canadian High Commission following Justin Trudeau’s remarks on Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar

0

Amid the tensions between India and Canada, the security of the Canada High Commission here was increased on Tuesday. Several personnel of the Central Reserve Police and Delhi Police were deployed outside the Canadian High Commission.

This comes moments after India expelled a senior Canadian diplomat to India in a reciprocal move to Canada expelling a senior Indian diplomat.

Canadian High Commissioner to India, Cameron MacKay was summoned today to the South Block, the headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs.

“The High Commissioner of Canada to India was summoned today and informed about the decision of the Government of India to expel a senior Canadian diplomat based in India,” a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs said today. It added, “The concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India within the next five days. The decision reflects the Government of India’s growing concern at the interference of Canadian diplomats in our internal matters and their involvement in anti-India activities”.

Meanwhile, India rejected the “absurd and motivated” claims made by the Canadian Prime Minister about New Delhi playing a role in the June killing of a Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

“We have seen and rejected the statement of the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament, as also the statement by their Foreign Minister,” said the MEA in an official statement.

“Allegations of the Indian government’s “involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated” the statement said.
It added, “Similar allegations were made by the Canadian Prime Minister to our Prime Minister and were completely rejected”. The statement said India is a democratic polity with a strong commitment to the rule of law.

“Such unsubstantiated allegations seek to shift the focus from Khalistani terrorists and extremists, who have been provided shelter in Canada and continue to threaten India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The inaction of the Canadian Government on this matter has been a long-standing and continuing concern,” the MEA statement said.

The release states that Canadian political figures have openly expressed sympathy for such elements and that remains a matter of deep concern.

“The space given in Canada to a range of illegal activities including murders, human trafficking and organised crime is not new” read the release.

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly on Monday said an Indian diplomat in Canada had been expelled, over allegations of the country’s involvement in the killing of the Khalistani leader Nijjar.

“We see this possible breach of sovereignty as completely unacceptable, and so, that is also why we’re coming (out) with this information (of the expulsion of the Indian diplomat) today,” Joly said at a news conference.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday accused the Indian government of being behind the fatal shooting of Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, CBC News reported.

Nijjar, who was wanted in India, was gunned down outside a Gurdwara, in a parking area in Canada’s Surrey, British Columbia on June 18.

Hailing from Bharsinghpur village in Punjab’s Jalandhar, Nijjar was based in Surrey and had been declared “absconder” by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Earlier on Monday, speaking in a debate in the Canadian Parliament, Canadian PM Trudeau claimed his country’s national security officials had reasons to believe that “agents of the Indian government” carried out the killing of the Canadian citizen, who also served as the president of Surrey’s Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara.

“Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar,” Trudeau said. He stated that the involvement of a foreign hand or government in the killing of a Canadian citizen in Canada was unacceptable.

“Any involvement of a foreign government in the killing of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil is an unacceptable violation of our sovereignty. It is contrary to the fundamental rules by which free, open, and democratic societies conduct themselves,” Trudeau added.

Old Parliament building to be known as ‘Samvidhan Sadan’: PM Modi

0

With the Parliament shifting from the old building to the new building on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested that the building, where meetings of the Constituent Assembly were held to frame the Constitution, should be known as ‘Samvidhan Sadan’.

Speaking at an event in the Central Hall attended by MPs from both Houses, PM Modi said every law made in the Parliament, every discussion held and every signal given should encourage the Indian aspiration.

Referring to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, PM Modi made a suggestion for giving a new name to the old parliament building which has seen history being made.

“I have a suggestion. Now, when we are going to the New Parliament, its (Old Parliament building) dignity should never go down. This should not be left just as the Old Parliament building. So, I urge that if you agree, this should be known as ‘Samvidhan Sadan’,” he said.

PM Modi called upon political parties to make the right decisions about the country’s future and not think only of political benefits.
“We have to make the right decisions at the right time for the future. We cannot restrict ourselves to just thinking about the political benefits…Knowledge and innovation are the demands and we should focus on it. After Chandrayaan-3’s success, our youth is inspired by the science and technology sector. We do not have to miss this opportunity,” PM Modi said.

“Now, we have to walk towards being the best in the world in the manufacturing sector. I had said from the Red Fort – Zero Defect, Zero Effect. There should be no defects in our products and the process should not have an effect on the environment. We have to go before the world with this ‘Zero Defect, Zero Effect’,” he added.

The MPs moved to the new Parliament building after the event ended in the central hall.  The proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be held in the new building on Tuesday.

“Today, we are going to have the beginning of a new future in the new Parliament building. Today, we are going to the new building with the determination to fulfil the resolve of a developed India,” PM Modi said.

He said the country will need to work on a larger canvas to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation. “In the 25 years of Amrit Kaal, India will have to work on a larger canvas. The time for us to get caught up in smaller issues is over. First of all, we will have to meet the goal of becoming Atmanirbhar Bharat…It is the need of the hour, it is everyone’s duty. Parties do not come in its way. Sirf Dil chahiye, desh ke liye chahiye,” he said.

“Every law made in the Parliament, every discussion held in the Parliament, and every signal given by the Parliament should encourage the Indian aspiration. This is our responsibility and the expectation of each and every Indian. Whatever reforms are made here, Indian aspiration should be our priority.

“Can anyone ever make a big picture on a small canvas? Just as we cannot make a big picture on a small canvas, in the same way, if we cannot enlarge the canvas of our thinking, we will not be able to paint a picture of a grand India,” he added. PM Modi said India is filled with a new energy and this can change the dreams of crores of people into reality.

“I had said from Red Fort – Yahi samay hai, sahi samay hai. If we look at the events one after the other, each one of them bears witness that today, India has reawakened with a new consciousness. India is filled with a new energy. This consciousness and energy can change the dreams of crores of people into resolutions and make those resolutions into a reality.”

The Prime Minister also spoke about the significant laws passed by his government in the past nine years. “Muslim mothers and sisters got justice because of this Parliament, law opposing ‘triple talaq’ was unitedly passed from here. In the last few years, Parliament has also passed laws giving justice to the transgenders. We have unitedly passed laws that will guarantee a bright future for the specially-abled people. It is our privilege that we got the opportunity to abrogate Article 370 from the Parliament,” he said.

Parliament moved to the new building in the Special Session of Parliament which began on Monday. The two Houses discussed 75 years of parliamentary journey on Monday.  The Special Session of Parliament will continue till September 22.

Know who was Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar whose murder Justin Trudeau is blaming on India

Canada has expelled a top Indian diplomat in its course of investigation into the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau has said in the Canadian Parliament that security agencies are pursuing charges of potential links between agents of the Indian government and the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

India has rejected the allegations calling them absurd and motivated. “Similar allegations were made by the Canadian Prime Minister to our Prime Minister and were completely rejected,” the statement by India read.

Nijjar, the head of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib, was shot dead in Surrey by two unidentified assailants on 18 June this year. He was a wanted terrorist by the Indian Government.

  • Who was Hardeep Singh Nijjar?

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a Khalistani terrorist wanted by the Indian government. The 46-year-old hailed from the village Bhar Singhpura of Jalandhar. He was President of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in Canada. His name was recently added to the list of designated terrorists by the Indian Government.

In 2022, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) declared a Rs 10 lakh reward on Nijjar after his name appeared in a conspiracy to kill a Hindu priest in Jalandhar, Punjab.

The Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) was behind the conspiracy to kill the Hindu priest. Nijjar was the chief of the Khalistani terrorist organization KTF. Apart from his activities in KTF, Nijjar was also linked to the Khalistani terrorist organization Sikhs For Justice.

He reportedly went to Australia for a ‘Referendum’ voting recently. NIA also booked him in a conspiracy to commit terrorist activities against India.

In its investigation against Nijjar, NIA found that he had made incriminating remarks, published objectionable content and shared media, including photos and videos on social media, with an aim to create tension in India.

As per NIA’s document on Najjar, “The incriminating evidence thus gathered substantiates that he is involved in exhorting seditionary and insurrectionary imputations and also attempting to create disharmony among different communities in India.”

The then-Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh had handed over a list of wanted criminals to Canada PM Justin Trudeau which included Nijjar’s name too. In 2020, the Punjab Government seized 11 kanal and 13.5 marlas of land belonging to Nijjar in his native village.

Nijjar faked documents, was rejected by Canadian immigration several times

The Khalistani terrorist had fled India and arrived in Toronto on 10 February 1997 under the fake name Ravi Sharma. According to Global News, Nijjar used fake identity in order to escape from Indian security for his association with Sikh terrorists.

Nijjar was linked to a Khalistani terrorist organization since the 1990s. He was an associate of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated terrorist by the Government of India under the UAPA. Pannu runs a terrorist organisation Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), which has called for the separation of Punjab and has led terrorist activities to spark unrest in the country.

Nijjar was working on organizing the so-called referendum scheduled for 18 September this year. In a statement to Global News, Pannu claimed that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had placed a bounty of 1 million (CAD 16,000) on Nijjar.

How Nijjar lied to immigration officials in Canada

Nijjar reportedly told immigration officials that he was tortured by the Punjab Police who were on the lookout for him in the 1990s. Nijjar’s father and brother were arrested by the police while he continued to escape arrest.

Canadian immigration, however, did not believe Nijjar when in June 1998 he claimed that his life was in danger in India. Immigration officials believed that the letter submitted by Nijjar to support his story was fabricated.

The letter was supposedly written by an Indian physician who said he had treated Nijjar after the police electrocuted his “intesticles”.

The spelling mistake combined with an account found by refugee officials found to be unreliable led them to dismiss Nijjar as “unreliable” and “untrustworthy”.

“The panel does not believe that the claimant was arrested by the police and that he was tortured by the police,” according to the ruling.

Just eleven days after the rejection, Nijjar married a woman from British Columbia who sponsored him to immigrate as her spouse.

In his application form, he denied association with any group that advocated “armed struggle or violence to reach political, religious or social objectives.”

While Nijjar submitted images of the wedding, and wedding invite, officials rejected his claims once again considering it a marriage of convenience.

Moreover, Nijjar’s wife had arrived in Canada in 1997 sponsored by a different husband. Interestingly, in 2001 too, Nijjar appealed to the courts but lost. And yet later he identified himself as a Canadian citizen.

It is still not known whether Nijjar ever received Canadian citizenship having lost the several appeals in the past. Even so, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau while issuing a statement on Tuesday addressed Nijjar as a Canadian citizen.

Nijjar’s anti-India activities and cases against him

Nijjar ran a plumbing business in Surrey. He travelled to Geneva in 2013 to appeal to the UNHRC to recognize the 1984 anti-Sikh violence as a genocide. In what capacity, with whose backing or sponsorship did he manage to reach to a global institution like the UNHRC is worth thinking about.

In June 2014, Nijjar openly called for the separation of the Indian state of Punjab at the UN Headquarters. Five months later, in November 2014, India issued a warrant for Nijjar’s arrest through the Interpol’s National Central Bureau in New Delhi.

The warrant described him as a “mastermind/active member” of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) terrorist group. The warrant also mentioned that Nijjar’s name had surfaced following the 2007 bombing of the Shingar Cinema in Punjab.

According to the summary of the case, the suspects arrested for the blast confessed that they were “acting under the instructions of Hardeep Singh Nijjar”.

In 2016, a second Interpol notice made fresh allegations against Nijjar, calling him the “mastermind and key conspirator of many terrorist acts in India”.

He was wanted for acts of terrorism and recruitment and fundraising and faced a possible life sentence. Nijjar denied the charges in a letter to Canadian PM Trudeau calling them “baseless and fabricated”.

Moreover, in March 2019, Nijjar was charged with assault but the case was stayed the same December.

Nijjar was also embroiled in a dispute over a commercial printing press which he had taken from Ripudaman Singh Malik, who was acquitted of involvement in the deadly 1985 Air India bombings.

The machine was purchased by Malik and a partner who intended to use it to print Sikh scriptures. Malik handed over the press to Nijjar in November 2020 “for safekeeping”.

But Nijjar refused to return it. Malik was murdered in July 2022. A lawsuit then followed in February 2023 seeking the return of the equipment.

Khalistani terrorist Nijjar, for whom Trudeau is destroying relations with India, was denied citizenship by Canada’s previous governments multiple times

0

On 18th September (local time), Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused the Indian government of involvement in killing Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. Nijjar, who was Khalistan Tiger Force chief, was killed in June this year. Both Trudeau and Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly called Nijjar a “Canadian citizen” in their statements.

Nijjar, a terrorist wanted by the Indian government, was shot dead in Surrey by two unidentified assailants on 18th June. The 46-year-old hailed from the village Bhar Singhpura of Jalandhar in Punjab.

However, Nijjar’s citizenship status in Canada is questionable. As per reports, Nijjar arrived in Canada in 1997 with a false identity. He arrived at Pearson Airport in 1997 using a fraudulent passport in the name of “Ravi Sharma”.

The Global News report suggests that Nijjar told immigration officials that his troubles began in 1990 during police crackdown on insurgency in the Indian state of Punjab. The Punjab Police arrested his brother and father during their crackdown on Khalistanis. Initially, his brother Jatinder was picked up by the police, and later, his father was also arrested. Nijjar claimed both of them were tortured.

In an affidavit, Nijjar told the immigration officials that he was picked by Punjab Police in 1995 and was tortured for the whereabouts of his brother and father. Nijjar further claimed he bribed police with Rs 50,000 and cut his hair to change his appearance. Till 1996, he stayed away from the public eye at a relative’s house in UP. When police reached the relative’s house, Nijjar was not there, and his uncle was arrested.

Nijjar claimed in the affidavit that he submitted to the immigration officials in June 1998 that his life was in grave danger in India. However, immigration officials did not believe him and said the letter submitted by Nijjar was fabricated. The information provided by a physician, who claimed to have treated Nijjar after his release from police custody, had spelling mistakes that raised a red flag. His immigration request was dismissed as unreliable, the report noted. The panel categorically said they did not believe Nijjar was ever arrested and tortured by the police.

In its report, Global News noted, “The misspelling of a body part, together with an account that refugee officials found implausible, led them to dismiss him as unreliable and untrustworthy.”

After getting rejected for asylum, Nijjar took a “plan B” path to get Canadian citizenship, and just eleven days after immigration officials refused his claims, he married a woman from British Columbia who sponsored him to immigrate as her spouse. In his application form, he refused to associate with any group that advocated “armed struggle or violence to reach political, religious or social objectives.” His application was, however, again rejected by the officials, saying it was a “marriage of convenience”. His supposed wife was sponsored by a “different” husband in 1997 when she arrived in Canada. Nijjar appealed in court against the decision but lost in 2001.

To prove his marriage with the British Columbian was genuine, he submitted a wedding invitation, photos and a picture of them cuddling in a chair. The Canadian officials were, however, not convinced that it was a genuine wedding. During the investigation, they found out that the woman had sponsored another man for immigration to Canada just a year before getting married to Nijjar. Calling it a “marriage of convenience”, the Canadian immigration officials rejected Nijjar’s application.

Nijjar approached the courts against the decision where his application was dismissed. Though he continued to identify himself as a Canadian citizen, it is unclear when and if he ever got citizenship in Canada.

As Canadian PM Trudeau openly supports Khalistani terrorists against India, read how his father Pierre Trudeau had shielded Kanishka bombing mastermind Talwinder Parmar

On 18th September, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of killing Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. Trudeau made the allegations in the Canadian parliament without presenting any proof. In the aftermath, Canada expelled an Indian diplomat as well. Trudeau’s language was in sync with the Khalistanis living in Canada, where they blamed India for killing Najjar.

Not to forget, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of Sikhs For Justice also blames India for the murder. Pannun was recently seen in Canada while Trudeau was in India for the G20 Summit.

Trudeau’s family has a history of siding with Khalistani terrorists. His father, Pierre Trudeau, had refused the extradition request of Khalistani terrorist Talwinder Singh Parmar in 1982. As per reports, in that year, the Indian government under then-PM Indira Gandhi had sought the extradition of Parmar, who was accused of killing police officers. However, the Pierre Trudeau-led government declined the request.

Canada refused to extradite terrorist Talwinder Parmar, citing that ‘India does not recognise the British queen as head of state’

In his book ‘Blood For Blood’, Canadian journalist Terry Milewski wrote about his incident. He said, “Canada can’t be compared to Pakistan as a springboard for Khalistani militants in the past forty years, but it has offered them the great advantage of a congenial legal and political environment. The meek Canadian response to the Khalistani challenge was a frequent target of Indian politicians as far back as 1982 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi complained about it to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.”

“Not much came of it. Quite the reverse, in fact. Pierre Trudeau’s government refused the 1982 Indian request to extradite Talwinder Parmar to India for murder on the quaint grounds that India was insufficiently deferential to the Queen. That is not a joke. Canadian diplomats had to tell their Indian counterparts that the extradition protocols between Commonwealth countries would not apply because India only recognized Her Majesty as Head of the Commonwealth and not as Head of State. Case closed!” he added.

Parmar was the head of the Khalistani terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa. Later, in 1985, the organization bombed an Air India plane called Kanishka in midair off the coast of Ireland. A total of 329 people were killed in the attack, out of which 268 were Canadian citizens. Notably, Khalistani terrorists had vowed to kill at least 50,000 Hindus. Furthermore, Parmar had threatened that Indian planes would fall from the sky.

Pierre Trudeau is vastly blamed for the Kanishka bombing, as it was only after the Trudeau-led government saved Parmar he started preparing for the bombing. In 1984, Parmar told his fellow Khalistanis that “Indian planes will fall from the sky”. In the same year, Ajaib Singh Bagri, a close associate of Parmar, pledged to kill 50,000 Hindus. He said at the founding convention of the World Sikh Organization, “Until we kill 50,000 Hindus, we will not rest!” It was reported by Milewski, who extensively covered the Khalistani movement in Canada and abroad.

‘Canadian authorities were aware that Parmar is planning an attack’

Reports suggest that Canadian authorities were aware of what Parmar was planning. One of the Canadian police informers had told police that Parmar promised him to pay a suitcase full of money if he agreed to plant a bomb on the plane.

As a paid Canadian police informer, I recorded a conversation with a few Khalistani terrorists on Vancouver Island discussing an attack on Air India. In 1987, he told CBC that he used an RCMP body pack to tape their conversation on suspicion of them being drug dealers in Port Alberni and Duncan.”

He said, “I was wearing a body pack, and my van was wired, so the RCMP actually have a transcript of a tape telling them of a plot against Air India days to a week before it happened.”

Reportedly, Parmar and his aide Inderjit Reyat were in the radar of the secret agency officials of Canada. They witnessed them testing a bomb on Vancouver Island. However, the police and spy agencies did not take the information about the bombing seriously and deemed the informers unreliable. The Canadian authorities even lost or destroyed some of the key evidence.

As a result, a trial in the case of the Kanishka bombing ended in acquittal of the accused for lack of evidence. In 1992, Parmar was killed by the Indian police when he sneaked into Punjab from Pakistan.

In 2010, Justice John Major-led commission of inquiry gave a report in which Canadian police and spy agencies were blamed for grave negligence and hampering the investigation. In the report, Justice Major said that the authorities should have known that the Indian aircraft was a terrorist’s target. He called the failure of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Canada’s spy agency, Canadian Security and Intelligence Services (CSIS) to prevent the bombing “inexcusable”.

Recently, posters glorifying Parmar were seen in Canada.

Canada’s support of Khalistani elements continues brazenly

Canada’s long-lasting support to Khalistani elements has been highlighted multiple times by the Indian government in bilateral talks, through diplomatic channels and other platforms. Now, as the Prime Minister of Canada himself has come openly in support of a Khalistani terrorist who had an Interpol red notice issued against him, India has the opportunity to call out Canada on the international platform and push for strict action against the anti-India forces using Canadian soil. As of now, the Indian External Ministry has strongly opposed the allegations.

Furthermore, the Indian government expelled a Canadian diplomat and asked him to leave the country in five days.

Under Justin Trudeau’s government, India-Canada relations seem to have hit absolute rock bottom.

Absolute bat shit, insane behaviour: Canadians lambast Justin Trudeau after he expells top Indian diplomat, accuses Indian agencies of killing Khalistani terrorist Nijjar

Hours after Justin Trudeau falsely accused the Indian government of killing a Khalistani terrorist named Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil, his countrymen slammed him on social media for hurting ties with India.

Journalist Daniel Bordman was shocked at the shenanigans of the Canadian Prime Minister and his decision to expel a top Indian diplomat from the country.

“To expel an Indian diplomat based on an internal report (In a fucking ongoing investigation!!!) that has a “potential” that Indian government was involved in the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar is insane. Absolutely bat shit insane behaviour form Trudeau and CO,” he wrote.

“This is a government that has a history of taking drastic actions based of an intelligence report based on a retracted CBC article, so forgive me for pointing out that no one in the international community is going to give us the benefit of the doubt,” he further added.

A Canada-based parody handle of Justin Trudeau (@Trudeaus_Ego) tweeted, “Our polling numbers are at all-time lows, so I need to create a new crisis to distract Canadians. That’s why my Government is suddenly making a big deal about #India’s ties to the killing of a Sikh man earlier this year.

“People are more likely to support me if they’re scared,” the X (formerly Twitter) handle emphasised.”

“Trudeau is a well-known terrorist lover,” wrote one Pierre.

“He fully plans on using this to win back Sikh votes, he couldn’t care less the Temple was adorned with shrines to air India bomber and calls for revenge,” tweeted ‘A Kid from Brooklyn.’

While fully realising the potential of Trudeau’s impulsive actions on Indian-Canadan ties, another X user said, “This will cost huge to India-Canada relations. India is a growing power and I don’t think ally countries will side (with) Canada on these allegations.”

Canadian social media users also accused Justin Trudeau of using the diplomatic standoff to divert public attention from internal issues of the country. One Jason Kuchirka stated, “Sounds like a distraction to me. I wonder why”

“Diversion Tactics,” said one Maddy.

One user claimed, “He doesn’t even need to be lying or attacking the opposition on what he does much worse him for his cadence in how he talks just making me want to break his face.”

The Background of the Controversy

Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the head of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib and a wanted Khalistani terrorist in India, was shot dead in Surrey by two unidentified assailants on June 18 this year. He was a wanted terrorist by the Indian Government. The 46-year-old hailed from the village Bhar Singhpura of Jalandhar.

On Tuesday (September 19), the Canadian government expelled one Indian diplomat after PM Justin Trudeau blamed India for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

The development came after Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly informed in a presser that the allegations of India’s involvement are being investigated. She termed the killing an attack on Canada’s sovereignty and informed that as a consequence, Canada has expelled one top Indian diplomat.

In a swift response, the Ministry of External Affairs stated that any allegation of India’s involvement in Nijjar’s killing is ‘absurd and motivated’. It has also expelled a senior Canadian diplomat in response to Canada’s hostile behavior towards India, and open support to anti-India terrorists.

MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi shared on X, “The High Commissioner of Canada was summoned today and informed about India’s decision to expel a senior Canadian diplomat based in India. The Concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India in the next five days.”

‘Massacre of thousands of Muslims’: While TNM denies Hyderabad genocide of Hindus KTR threatens to move censor board against ‘Razakar’ movie

The teaser of Razakar, a movie depicting the genocide of Hindus in Hyderabad in the events preceding the accession of the state into post-independence India, has not gone down well with the Islamists and the left-liberal ecosystem. But then when has any part of Hindu genocide across various time periods and across the Indian subcontinent ever gone down well with them? It’s too much truth for them to burden themselves with.

Shortly after the release of the Razakar teaser, Telangana Minister KTR and son of KCR threatened to raise the movie with the censor board saying that the BJP is attempting to polarise.

“Some intellectually bankrupt jokers of the BJP are doing their best to instigate communal violence and polarisation for their political propaganda in Telangana. We will take up the matter with the censor board and also the Telangana police to ensure that the law & order situation in Telangana is not affected,” he wrote on X.

SS of KTR’s post on X

The News Minute (TNM), a mouthpiece of the left so to speak, published its own twisted version of the Hindu genocide; basically denying that there was ever a genocide of Hindus. The archive version of the TNM report can be viewed here.

The report published by TNM

Instead, in the very introduction to the report, TNM said that it was the Muslims who were massacred by the Nizam of Hyderabad. “In this 3250-word piece, Yunus Lasania reminded us that a catastrophic period in Hyderabad’s history which ended with the massacre of thousands of Muslims, as estimated by the Pandit Sunderlal Commission of Enquiry, cannot be fictionalised into convenient binaries,” the report read.

The News Minute report, endorsed by its outright leftist and anti-Hindu Editor-in-Chief Dhanya Rajendran called the brutal mass murder of Hindus in Hyderabad by Muslim Razakars as fiction.

Rajendran took to X, formerly Twitter, saying, “After Kashmir Files and Kerala Story, this is a movie that the BJP is banking on. This time, the producer is a BJP MLA. What is the BJP’s plan? What is the real history? Read our VERY detailed story by @YunusLasania”.

SS of TNM Editor-in-Chief Dhanya Rajendran’s post on X

TNM Editor-in-Chief criticised the Razakar teaser and questioned its validity because it shows the genocide in no minced terms and because it is produced by a BJP MLA.

Moreover, the report sugarcoated such a heinous crime against the Hindu community by calling it nothing more than a “peasant uprising and the subjugation of the working class by Muslim rulers and Hindu feudal lords”.

Like the foundations of a failed leftist state, the report also began by laying arguments that hurt the mind. The report sought to find “nuances” in the film Razakar. It said, “Going by the poster and the discourse around the upcoming film, this ‘historical’ outing on screen is likely to have little in terms of nuance.”

This play-pretend-intellectual form of writing is typical of the left. This want for nuance is nothing but a call to hide the truth. They don’t want the Hindus to be able to narrate their ordeal, they don’t want the Hindus to know their history, and they don’t want the Hindus to pass on their history to the coming generations.

Netizens called out Dhanya Rajendran and all those lauding the tyrannical Razakars while denying the genocide of Hindus. An X user wrote, “Holocaust denial is a crime in many countries because no matter how large and real the crime, there will be lowlifes who want to whitewash events, including genocides. Dhanya is our own version of those holocaust deniers.”

While replying to a post by an AIMIM supporter on X who likened the founder of the Razakars Qasim Rizvi to Subhas Chandra Bose, an X user by the name of Yogini wrote, “Razakars gheraoed my Father’s family wada in Jintur, MH, for 24+hr. Children & women were herded into basement for the complete duration. Yet 2 women were eventually found in a nearby well 36 hrs later. Any Razakar isn’t even close to the nail of Subhas Chandra Bose.”

The likes of Dhanya Rajendran and KTR will flex their corrupt influence and travel to the ends of the earth to negate the sufferings of the Hindu community which have disturbed generations. This leftist ecosystem of which she is a part will deny Hindus their rights and freedom by shooting off the shoulders of a political party like the BJP. Nonetheless, the target of these Hindu bloodthirsty vultures will be the Hindu at last.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu next? Not killed by ‘Indian agents’, but Pakistan: What some in Intelligence believe might be fallout of Justin Trudeau’s shenanigans

On the 18th of September, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. Without providing any proof, Trudeau claimed that Canada is pursuing “credible information” about Indian agents being involved in Nijjar’s killing. After the bizarre statement by Trudeau, Canada expelled one Indian diplomat over it, the Indian government rejected all of Canada’s allegations. In a swift response, the Ministry of External Affairs has stated that any allegation of India’s involvement in Nijjar’s killing is ‘absurd and motivated’.

The statement by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is widely considered an unprecedented one because it is usually not the norm in the global polity to blame other countries for assassinations without offering proof first. The ramifications of such allegations and subsequent actions of expelling diplomats is considered a hostile move and are almost certainly one that affects the already strained ties between the two countries. Now, some from the Intelligence community believe that Pakistan might take advantage of the statement by Justin Trudeau not only to demonise India on the world stage but also, perhaps eliminate Gurpatwant Pannu to further the campaign against India.

Post the murder of the Khalistani terrorist, the “India did it” trope was first peddled by the head of designated terror organisation Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.

“While SFJ has been using ballots for the liberation of Punjab from Indian occupation, India has set the cycle of violence into motion by resorting to the use of bullets. While Indian bullets cannot stop the Khalistan Referendum which will balkanize India and liberate Punjab, Modi, Shah and Doval should be prepared to face justice under international law for ordering the killing of pro-Khalistan Sikhs,” Pannun reportedly said in a video statement.

Pannun also vowed to dismantle the Indian system in a bid to avenge the Khalistani terrorist’s killing.

Interestingly, while India has been raising its concerns with Canada about harbouring and aiding Khalistani terrorists on its soil, its Prime Minister now seems to have endorsed the very false narrative that the head of a terror organisation was peddling after Nijjar was killed. The Khalistani reaction to Trudeau’s statement was almost immediately obvious.

Pro-Khalistan lawmaker, Jagmeet Singh, who is already under the radar of the Indian authorities took to X to issue a veiled threat. “I will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice, including holding Narendra Modi accountable”, he said.

With Trudeau making pro-Khalistan noise, Jagmeet Singh threatening PM Modi and India and Canada expelling Indian diplomats with no proof offered to back their allegations, there is reason to believe that Indians in Canada, especially Diplomats, are in grave danger from Khalistanis. Pertinently, Khalistanis had earlier threatened Indian Diplomats in India as well. While Justin Trudeau was getting snubbed in India during the G-20 summit, Pannu, whose rants Trudeau is now parroting, had threatened that SFJ would target the Indian High Commissioner to Canada, Sanjay Kumar Verma, in response to Justin Trudeau’s embarrassment in India.

There seems to be an indeniable synergy between terrorist Gurpatwant Pannu, sympathisers like Jagmeet Singh and Justin Trudeau – a concern that India has raised often.

After the unprecedented move by Canada to worsen ties with India and espouse the Khalistani agenda officially, OpIndia spoke to members of the Intelligence community to understand what the ramification of these shenanigans might be.

“Justin Trudeau is feeling the heat back home. If you notice, Jagmeet Singh has been going hammer and tongs against Trudeau at every opportunity he gets. The only time he supports him is when he is taking the pro-Khalistan line. While the fallout might be severe, it is evident that Trudeau is escalating tension with India to hold on to some support that he might get”, one officer said.

As per recent Ababcus Data ratings, the Conservatives are leading in Canada as the Trudeau-led Federal Government’s disapproval rating has jumped to 57%. Only 29%, 2% less than the 4th September rating, approve of the Federal government. Since 2015, the disapproval rating was highest on 14th September. The personal image of the Canadian Prime Minister has also worsened, as only 27% see his performance as positive. In comparison, 56% of the Canadian population is unhappy with him, giving him a net favourable rating of -29%t. Notably, the negative impression of Trudeau among the Canadian population was 39% in June 2021, which has risen sharply by almost 20 per cent in two years.

Some members of the Intelligence Community believed that the fallout from Trudeau’s dangerous game for domestic politics might be far more severe than people anticipated. “Yes, Canada has said something and India has responded with a statement too, but there is more to this than meets the eye”, he said.

The Intelligence Officer believed that with Trudeau appeasing the Khalistanis, Pakistan, which has funded and fuelled the Khalistani terrorist movement since its inception, may initiate a series of dangerous moves. “We have seen this happen in the past. In 1982, India had asked Trudeau senior to hand over Babbar Khalsa terrorist, a demand which Pierre Trudeau did not comply with. It was shortly after that in 1985 that Khalistanis carried out the Air India bombing”.

Taking lessons from what happened then, some officers believe that Pakistan will use Trudeau’s statement to not only demonise India, by maybe issuing statements without any locus standi but also create a situation to further this situation.

“Pakistan has a history of eliminating and getting rid of the terrorists they create to further demonise India on an international platform. You see, they have no dirth of those who are brainwashed enough to take on the mantle and continue their campaign of terrorism against India. Once a terrorist gains momentum internationally, Pakistan may eliminate him to blame India, riding on the statement of Justin Trudeau, to justify further terrorist activity against India”, he said.

The officer was alluding to Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and how Pakistan may eliminate its own creation to then blame India, through its sympathisers within India and outside (like Jagmeet Singh) for the ‘assassination’ in order to not only protect its own interest with FATF and show India as the pariah but also to later tacitly justify terrorist activity against India as a fall out of India’s supposed ‘assassination’ of Pannu. Blaming India without any facts is precisely what Canada has done now and it will only embolden Pakistan to mount similar lies.

For Pakistan, elements like Pannu are ‘useful idiots’ who further their cause internationally. However, they are by no measure indispensable. After years of being the mothership of terrorism, they have several individuals who can easily be propped up as replacement figures. Therefore, eliminating one of their puppets like Pannu in order to unleash terror against India and paint India as a pariah is not something that is unthinkable.

“The international community regards ISI as one of the best intelligence agencies in the world. Yet, there are Kashmiri terrorists, created by Pakistan, being killed regularly in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Who is killing them? How are they getting eliminated in droves despite the ISI keeping a close watch on the assets they created against India?”, the officer said.

In early September, one of the most wanted Kashmiri terrorists was shot dead by “unidentified assailants” inside a mosque in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Riyaz Ahmad alias Abu Qasim, affiliated with the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba, was one of the main conspirators behind the Dhangri terror attack on January 1. Ahmad mostly operated from the Lashkar-e-Taiba base camp in Muridke but had recently shifted to Rawalakot. He was a close associate of Sajjad Jaat, the Lashkar-e-Taiba’s chief commander, and also looked after the outfit’s finances.

Ahmad was the fourth top Kashmiri terrorist leader who was killed in Pakistan Occupied Territory. In March, a top commander of the banned Hizbul Mujahideen was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Pakistan’s Rawalpindi. Bashir Ahmad Peer alias Imtiyaz Alam, who hailed from Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, had been living in Pakistan for more than 15 years. He was accused of getting Zakir Musa, chief commander of the Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind, an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Kashmir, killed in May 2019. In February, unidentified gunmen shot dead former Al-Badr Mujahideen commander Syed Khalid Raza in the port city of Karachi in what police described as a targeted attack. Aijaz Ahmad Ahangar, a Kashmiri terrorist functioning as a top commander of the global terror group Islamic State, was found dead in Afghanistan’s Kunar Province earlier this year.

The Intelligence Officer asked how so many top terrorist commanders, groomed and funded by Pakistan, were being killed inside Pakistan or Pakistan Occupied Territories, alluding to the fact that Pakistan might neutralise SFJ’ Pannu to not only blame India but later, claim that a terror attack was retribution by “Khalistani activists” to avenge the murder of Pannu.

Another Intelligence Officer further said that Pakistan has been tying up loose ends to appear as a responsible nation in front of the international community, where it is being singled out, and FATC. To that end, Pannu may seem like a liability alive and an asset dead.

There were, however, certain voices from the Intelligence Community which had a slightly different take. Speaking to OpIndia, one officer said that with the turmoil in Pakistan, the TTP is far more dangerous to the establishment in Pakistan than India is currently. For now, they might not want to kill Pannu and take on India on a global stage. What they might do is merely make some statements trying to take advantage of what Justin Trudeau has said”.

Canada almost certainly will lobby with the West and nations like the USA, France, the UK etc. to condemn India and “raise concerns” about the killing of Nijjar. With India’s rise to a global stage, while leaders congregated in Delhi during G20 and shook hands, barring perhaps France and Israel, not too many nations are happy. With Trudeau’s popularity dwindling and his political future becoming uncertain, it remains to be seen if Western nations weigh into the controversy that his comments have stirred. India, on its part, is certain to unofficially reach out to other nations and try its best to ensure no further amplification of the baseless allegations. It remains to be seen how the international community will deal with Trudeau’s baseless rant, however, the only nation that is sure to ride the tide is Pakistan.

India summons Canadian High Commissioner after Justin Trudeau’s diplomatic fiasco, expels Canadian diplomat

India has summoned Canada’s High Commissioner to India Cameron MacKay after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau blamed India for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canada had earlier blamed India for terrorist Nijjar’s killing and had expelled a top Indian diplomat.

Cameron MacKay was seen leaving the MEA headquarters in Delhi after a discussion.

India has also expelled a senior Canadian diplomat in response to Canada’s hostile behavior towards India, and open support to anti-India terrorists. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi shared on X, “The High Commissioner of Canada was summoned today and informed about India’s decision to expel a senior Canadian diplomat based in India. The Concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India in the next five days.”

However, India’s Ministry of External Affairs had earlier rejected Canada’s allegations in a strongly worded statement.

The statement read, “We have seen and rejected the statement of the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament, as also the statement by their Foreign Minister. Allegations of the Government of India’s involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated.” The detailed statement can be read here.

History is written by those who can edit Wikipedia, losers got lot of time: Elon Musk, Israeli PM Netanyahu slam the ‘free encyclopedia’

On Monday (September 18, local time), billionaire businessman Elon Musk slammed Wikipedia and its ‘motivated’ editors for information manipulation and distortion of facts. He made the remarks during a live discussion on X (formerly Twitter) with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in California.

Musk said, “There’s an old saying that ‘history is written by the victors,’ it’s like well, not if your enemies are still alive and have a lot of time on their hands to edit Wikipedia. The losers just got a lot of time on their hands.”

On hearing that, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu joked, “They necessarily don’t bring out the balanced view of things…History is written by those who can harness the most editors.”

This is not the first time Elon Musk has slammed Wikipedia for its lack of editorial oversight and dissemination of propaganda content under the guise of facts.

In December 2022, he said, “Most of Earth: “The MSM is biased.” Wikipedia: “Cite MSM source to confirm this claim.” Wikipedia has a non-trivial left-wing bias.” Musk also tagged Wikipedia’s founder Jimmy Wales and sought his comments on the free encyclopedia’s bias.

His tweet came after YouTuber Ian Miles Cheong pointed out that there was a discussion by Wikipedia Editors to remove the ‘Twitter Files’ page.

In another tweet, Elon Musk said, “In the past, victory would mean that your enemies are no longer around. These days, they’re not only alive & well, but have lots of time on their hands to edit Wikipedia!

He posted a similar tweet on April 21, 2022, reiterating that history is written by ‘Wikipedia Editors.’

Wikipedia should never be trusted: Larry Sanger

In July 2021, co-founder of Wikipedia Larry Sanger spoke to OpIndia in detail about the user-edited encyclopedia. He said that Wikipedia lost its neutral nature in 2009, before which editors from all ideologies debated equally before deciding what should be published on the platform.

He said that articles on everything on Wikipedia had become partisan, mainly supporting the Biden administration and blacking out information that did not show the Democrats in a good light. OpIndia has extensively reported on the biased nature of Wikipedia. Our coverage can be seen here.
