Soon after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau accused India of killing Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil and Canada expelled one Indian diplomat over it, the Indian government rejected all of Canada’s allegations.
In a swift response, the Ministry of External Affairs has stated that any allegation of India’s involvement in Nijjar’s killing is ‘absurd and motivated’.
The statement read, “We have seen and rejected the statement of the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament, as also the statement by their Foreign Minister. Allegations of the Government of India’s involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated.
Similar allegations were made by the Canadian Prime Minister to our Prime Minister and were completely rejected. We are a democratic polity with a strong commitment to the rule of law.
Such unsubstantiated allegations seek to shift the focus from Khalistani terrorists and extremists, who have been provided shelter in Canada and continue to threaten India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The inaction of the Canadian Government on this matter has been a long-standing and continuing concern.
That Canadian political figures have openly expressed sympathy for such elements remains a matter of deep concern. The space given in Canada to a range of illegal activities including murders, human trafficking, and organized crime is not new.
We reject any attempts to connect the Government of India to such developments. We urge the Government of Canada to take prompt and effective legal action against all anti-India elements operating from their soil.”
Earlier today, the Canadian government expelled one Indian diplomat after PM Justin Trudeau blamed India for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

The development came after Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly informed in a presser that the allegations of India’s involvement are being investigated. She termed the killing an attack on Canada’s sovereignty and informed that as a consequence, Canada has expelled one top Indian diplomat.
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the head of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib and a wanted Khalistani terrorist in India, was shot dead in Surrey by two unidentified assailants on June 18 this year. He was a wanted terrorist by the Indian Government. The 46-year-old hailed from the village Bhar Singhpura of Jalandhar.
On Monday (18 September), Professor C.K. Raju retorted to an article published by The Print revolving around his lecture given at the Vivekananda International Foundation on 14 September. Addressing the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Print, Shekhar Gupta, Professor Raju shared a post on X calling out the ‘journalistic malpractice’ for publishing the article based on his claims without having done the due diligence.
Accusing that the reporter lacked ‘competence’ to report on a scholarly discussion, he said, “It is unfortunate that the reporter you (Shekhar Gupta) designated to report, on a scholarly talk on the philosophy of mathematics, not only lacked the mathematical training to understand it, but was even unable to identify the right “peers” to consult.”
"‘Einstein was a fraud, West stole calculus from India’ – mathematician’s claims slammed by peers" by Mohana Basu, ThePrint, 15 September, 2023, reporting on my lecture of 14 September at the Vivekananda…
The article in question was titled “‘Einstein was a fraud, West stole calculus from India’ – mathematician’s claims slammed by peers”. Written by The Print’s Mohana Basu, it was published on 15 September 2023.
Professor Raju also alleged that the reporting reeked of ‘journalistic malpractice’. He accused the reporter of not doing proper research and background checks on the so-called peers whose opinions were incorporated to show his intentions in a bad light and paint him as a ‘Hindutva conspiracy’ theorist.
Claiming that the article was a clear act of defamation, he added that the reporter twisted and distorted facts to suit her simplistic narrative that any challenge to the West is a Hindutva conspiracy.
Highlighting his acclaimed decade-long work on Mathematics particularly on Calculus, he added, “Her attempt to paint my entire lifework on Einstein and calculus too as a ridiculous Hindutva conspiracy is not only highly unfair but is a clear act of defamation. This is deliberate because she has not engaged with a single fact or argument in my numerous publications on these two issues: her only point is they are surprising to her and hence wrong.”
Going ahead, the Mathematics Professor replied saying that the so-called peers, the reporter consulted were neither competent to speak on issues of Einstein and calculus, nor did they give any fact or argument to counter his claims.
Subsequently, he claimed that the news portal was misleading the readers with a suggestive headline as none of the “peers” countered him on facts.
Background of the controversy
This all began when an Indian Mathematician and Honorary Professor at the Indian Institute of Education in Pune, Professor CK Raju gave a lecture at the Vivekananda International Foundation on 14 September. The next day, The Print published an article spun around his claims made during the VIF lecture which was titled ‘Practical Ganita vs Religious Mathematical’.
Regarding his lecture, the article stated, “In a sparsely populated conference room, with barely 40 people in attendance, the talk began with chants of ‘Om’ and Sanskrit shlokas,” insinuating that the greetings were a giveaway of his Hindu roots, a bad omen for secular Mathematicians.
The article noted that there was no mathematician in the audience to question Professor Raju’s claims. However, on its part, it established that the Mathematical community slammed Professor Raju’s claims by dedicating a long one-line. The article states, “His (Professor Raju’s) evangelism, however, found few takers among his peers.”
The article didn’t further delve into the names or opinions of these so-called peers that slammed Professor Raju for arguing that West stole several ideas that had been established by Indians decades if not centuries ago.
Professor C. K. Raju holds a BSc (Hons) in physics, and an MSc in mathematics from Mumbai, followed by a PhD from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Apart from teaching, he joined C-DAC and is said to have played a key role in building the first Indian supercomputer Param.
A minor Hindu girl who was returning home from school was crushed to death by bike-borne miscreants on Friday (September 15, 2023) in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The police arrested accused Shahbaz, Arbaaz and Faizal in the matter under Section Sections 302, 354, 298 and 304 of the IPC along with relevant sections of the POCSO Act. The fourth accused in the case identified as Munnu is still at large and police are on the lookout for him.
OpIndia on September 17 went to the deceased victim’s village in Ambedkar Nagar to meet her bereaved family. Besides speaking to the family members we also spoke to some locals, social workers and members of local Hindu organizations, who told us that the accused idolised the dreaded gangster Khan Mubarak. They also asserted that cases of ‘love jihad’ and eve-teasing are still rampant in their village and the adjoining areas.
The father of the deceased 17-year-old, Sabhajeet Verma, meanwhile, told us that the fourth accused Munnu was a bike mechanic and the other three accused Shahbaz, Arbaaz and Faizal often borrowed bikes from his shop, which they, in turn, used to follow and harass school girls in the village.
The deceased girl’s uncle also bemoaned the fact that the accused were repeat offenders who habitually harassed local girls. When asked what they did for a living, the deceased girl’s grandfather retorted angrily that they were all “lafangais” (useless rogues).
All local criminals hero-worship gangster and Chhota Rajan’s aide Khan Mubarak
KP Singh Paliwal, President of ‘The National Body Donation Association’ and a local social worker, spoke to OpIndia about this matter. He lives in the victim’s neighbouring village. He said that all four accused hero-worshipped the dreaded gangster Khan Mubarak, who died in the Hardoi prison in June 2023. KP Singh stated that there has always been fear of Muslims in the area, which he attributed to Khan Mubarak and his henchmen.
Paliwal alleged that Khan Mubarak’s men are still active in numerous areas and are involved in a variety of criminal acts, including the recent murder of the minor Hindu student.
KP Singh attributed the rise of terror and dread in the area to the patronage given to Khan Mubarak by the previous regimes of the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party in the state. He asserted that the local Hindus in the area were, during those days, forced to move around with their heads lowered and that despite numerous complaints, the police did not care.
Though this terror has progressively diminished under Yogi Adityanath’s government, cases of eve-teasing and ‘love jihad’ are still prevalent in the educational institutions in the area, he said, demanding bulldozer action against the accused.
We were told that the majority of people in the surrounding area are Muslim.
OpIndia spoke with Akhilesh Srivastava, a local leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). He reiterated that eve-teasing and love jihad are quite rampant in the area. The girls, however, bear with it and prefer to keep quiet as they fear that their family members will withdraw their names from their schools.
According to Akhilesh, the murdered girl’s family lives in continual fear as a result of dreaded gangsters like Khan Mubarak and their henchmen. He asserted that this terror has been going on for a decade and that it has impacted not only the victim’s family but all Hindu households in the neighbourhood.
Notably, gangster Khan Mubarak, a close aide of Chhota Rajan, died in Hardoi district hospital in June this year. He hit the headlines in 2003 when he shot dead an umpire during a cricket match. There were 43 cases registered against him. Mubarak was arrested and while in jail, he came in contact with gangster Rajesh Yadav and Bachha Pasi who used to work for underworld don Chhota Rajan. Khan Mubarak and his brother Zafar aka Supari then joined Chhota Rajan’s gang and earned notoriety as contract killers. Khan Mubarak’s name also surfaced in a murder in Ghoorpur and another murder of a youth in the Kotwali area in 2005.
VHP issues an ultimatum
OpIndia met with Shyam Babu Gupta, a representative of former BJP MLA for the area Sanju Devi and a Vishwa Hindu Parishad officer. Shyam Babu Gupta stated that after observing the administration’s initial hesitation, he issued an ultimatum to the administration to take strict action immediately, which resulted in positive results. He promised the deceased’s family members all types of assistance, from financial to legal, and so on.
Besides Khan Mubarak, the terror of gangster and SP leader Azimul Haq palpable among Ambedkar Nagar residents
Shyam Babu Gupta went on to say that the Yogi government will have to work extremely hard to normalize the environment in the area. Recalling the times when the SP-BSP government were at the helm in UP, Shyam Babu said that there was so much terror among Hindus that mobile shop owners did not even keep Android phones in their shops. Khan Mubarak’s henchmen used to snatch those mobile phones and take them away. Also, due to the increased instances of theft, the entire market used to shut at 5 p.m.
Shyam Babu Gupta asserted that politicians like deceased Samajwadi Party MLA Azimul Haq supported not just big mafias and gangsters like Khan Mubarak, but also all kinds of criminals who tormented and tortured Hindus in their respective localities.
When the OpIndia team attempted to speak with other traders and common people at the Hirapur market, they refused to say anything. They declined because they were concerned about their safety. Many people, under the condition of anonymity, indicated that Yogi Adityanath is their only hope because they are afraid that the terror that occurred in the past will return if the government changes. We also noticed how, despite Khan Mubarak’s death, locals were hesitant to speak out against him.
In our previous ground report, we detailed how the 17-year-old deceased Hindu girl’s family had called her murder a well-thought-out and pre-planned conspiracy. The deceased girl’s sister and father said that they were waiting for Yogi Adityanath’s bulldozer to arrive at the houses of the accused. They had in unison demanded nothing less than the death sentence for the accused.
On Monday (18 September), a Dharma Sansad was organised at Acharya Peeth Tapasvi Camp in Ayodhya where saints and sages unanimously condemned recurrent hate speeches given by DMK leaders and their allies against Sanatan Dharma. The sages also demanded an apology from Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for making hateful remarks against Sanatana Dharma and calling for its eradication.
Giving a week ultimatum, they said that they are giving Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin one week’s time to apologise. They announced that if he didn’t apologise, then all the saints and religious leaders of the country would march to Tamil Nadu and stage a protest there.
The Dharma Sansad also demanded that the National Security Act (NSA) should be imposed on all those who are making inflammatory and hateful remarks against Sanatana Dharma, comparing it with diseases and calling for its eradication including the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin.
They argued that either these leaders should be booked under NSA or they should be asked to apologise for making hate speeches.
The sages gathered at the Dharma Sansad also warned of gheraoing the New Parliament building and approaching the President on the issue of attack on Sanatan Dharma if these leaders don’t apologise for their remarks.
Presiding over the Dharmasansad, Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya said that there is a pattern to insult the people who believe in Sanatan Dharma.
He asserted that people who are holding Constitutional positions are making such unconstitutional statements.
“There are 120 crore Sanatani people in the country and they will not tolerate such comments,” he added.
He reiterated that if DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, who passed indecent remarks on Sanatan Dharma, does not apologize within a week, thousands of saints and religious leaders of the country will march to Tamil Nadu and protest there.
He added that saints will work to remove such leaders from power who make hateful remarks against and call out for the eradication of Sanatan Dharma.
At the Dharma Sansad, the national president of Sankatmochan, Sena Sanjay Das, said that those who are criticising Sanatan Dharma do not know that Sanatan Dharma is the mother of all religions.
He added that for those leaders who are attacking Sanatan Dharma, their destruction is certain.
Das said if the indecent comments on Sanatan Dharma did not stop, the saints would meet the President and gherao the new Parliament House.
Mahant Murali Das of Shree Nirvani Ani Akhara said that people like Udhayanidhi Stalin, A Raja, and Swami Prasad Maurya are anti-religious and their downfall is certain.
Around hundreds of saints and religious leaders including Mahant Jagdish Das, Mahant Ramcharan Das, Sarpanch Ramkumar Das, Mahant Nandram Das, Priest Hemant Das, wrestler Rajesh Das, and Mama Das were also present in the Dharma Sansad in Ayodhya.
The Dharma Sansad comes in the wake of repeated attacks and hate speeches against Sanatan Dharma by the leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc.
Evidently, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Stalin Jr. equated Sanatan Dharma with diseases like Malaria and Corona and blatantly asserted that it should not be opposed rather it should be eradicated.
The DMK leader said, “Mosquitoes, dengue, flu, malaria, corona – we should not oppose these things. They’ve to be eradicated completely. The same is the case with Santanam (Hinduism). Our first work should be to abolish/eradicate Sanatanam instead of opposing it,” from the dias of “Eradicate Sanatan Conference”.
Likewise, leaders from CPI(M), Congress, SP, RJD, and VCK among others also gave hate speeches against Sanatan Dharma.
In the long list of deranged Hindu haters, DMK leader A Raja argued that Sanatan Dharma should have been compared with HIV, leprosy and Udayanidhi Stalin was soft in comparing it with dengue or malaria.
17th of September 1948 marks the day when the erstwhile Hyderabad state, consisting of modern-day Telangana, parts of Maharashtra (Auranagabad, Beed, Hingoli, Jalna, Latur, Nanded, Osmanabad and Parbhani) & parts of Karnataka (Bidar, Gulbarga, Koppal and Raichur) was liberated from Nizam’s rule and merged into the Indian Union.
Even while the rest of India celebrated independence on 15th August 1947, the people of Telangana had to wait for over 13 months to free themselves from the shackles of Nizam’s tyrannical rule.
Being a feudal monarchy, the Nizams ruled with an iron fist. With a few chosen aristocrats and nobles in charge of the administration of the jagir land (owned by the monarchy), the kingdom relied on ‘Vetti Chakiri’ or unpaid labour to thrive.
Exploitation and slavery flourished under the Nizam rule and numerous restrictions were placed on the indigenous populations, including the curtailing of cultural and linguistic freedom, leading to a peasant rebellion that eventually aided in the unification of the region with India.
In an effort to suppress the growing anti-Nizam, pro-India sentiment amongst the Telangana people, Qasim Rizvi, the president of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) from 1946 to 1948, created the paramilitary wing of Nizam, infamously known as the Razakar militia to unleash unspeakable violence.
Thousands were massacred and women were raped and killed, and yet the struggle to be free of the Razakars and Nizam’s tyrannical rule continued. From indigenous tribals to those living in the main city of Hyderabad, people from across the state rallied against the brutality and oppression of the Nizams, Rizvi, and bloodthirsty Razakars. Rural women from Telangana, arguably amongst the first anti-caste, anti-feudal feminist labour agitators in India, participated in and led the Telangana armed struggle from 1946-1951.
It was the success of Operation Polo (Police Action against Hyderabad), under the decisive leadership of the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhai Patel, that finally led to the liberation of Hyderabad on 17 September.
Both Maharashtra and Karnataka, regions of erstwhile Hyderabad State have celebrated this historic day as the Marathwada Liberation Day and Hyderabad-Karnataka Liberation Day respectively.
As we marked the beginning of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav– the 75th year of Independence last year, the Government of India celebrated 75 years of Hyderabad’s independence from the Nizam rule. The Ministry of Culture had started the year-long commemoration of ‘Hyderabad Liberation Day’ on 17th September 2022.
Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, needs to be complimented for taking this bold decision. The year-long Amrit Mahotsav celebrations will end with Union Home Minister Amit Shah hoisting the tricolour in Hyderabad. These celebrations were held under the aegis of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy’s Ministry of Culture. These celebrations are a fitting tribute to the sacrifices, valour and struggle of many unsung s/heroes of Telangana against the brutal legacy of the Nizams.
After the announcement of celebrations by the Narendra Modi government, the ruling BRS administration was compelled to announce a parallel program under the name of National Integration Day. The idea behind National Integration Day is to erase the atrocities committed by Nizam & his Razakar army from public memory and is an insult to the thousands of martyrs- men and women who sacrificed their lives to bring down the tyrannical rule of Nizam.
On Monday, September 18, Congress President and leader of the opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge tried to take a dig at the Central Government by calling the G20 Summit the G2 Summit during his address in the house on the first day of the special session of the Parliament. BJP responded with a jibe at the Gandhis and Congress leaders’ devotion towards them. Union Minister Piyush Goyal shared a side-by-side video of the wordplay on X (formerly Twitter).
Mallikarjun Kharge was immediately corrected by the Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who told him it was G20 Summit.
To which MallikarjunKharge said, “The zero was covered with a lotus (the election symbol of the ruling party, BJP)”.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongly reacted to the remarks made by LoP Kharge. Responding to him, Union Minister Piyush Goyal took a jibe at Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. “He sees only 2G, One G and Son G,” Union Minister Piyush Goyal said while responding to Kharge.
The special session of the parliament was inaugurated by PM Modi at the old parliament complex but will move to the new parliament on September 19.
The Greater Chennai Police has issued guidelines for Hindus on how to celebrate the annual Vinayagar (Lord Ganesh) Chaturthi celebration, on the eve of the event.
Many consider the 11 sets of guidelines issued by the police for Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations to be draconian, making it challenging for Hindus to partake in the festival.
Some organisers toldThe Commune that the setup process for Vinayagar Pandals has become excessively bureaucratic, burdensome, and taxing. potentially leading to delays or hindrances in their construction.

Below are a few directives issued by the police concerning the installation of idols, instructing organizers to obtain them.
1. Landowners, where Vinayagar idols are going to be installed, must have obtained permission from local bodies concerned, the Highway Department or the Government Department.
2. Must have obtained a No Objection Certificate from the Fire Department, Electricity Board, etc.
3. Obtain permission from the police station officer concerned by filling up the forms for installation of Vinayagar idols, undertaking to abide by the restrictions and conditions mentioned therein.
4. The height of the statue to be installed should not exceed 10 feet from the base of the platform.
5. Installation of idols near places of Worship, Hospitals, and Educational institutions should be avoided.
6. Two volunteers should be deputed on a 24-hour rotation to ensure the safety of the idols.
7. Banners/billboards in support of any political parties or religious leaders should not be placed at the worship point.
8. Fire safety rules and regulations must be followed, and electrical wire connections and pandals should be monitored periodically to avoid accidents and mishaps.
9. Fire safety rules and regulations must be followed, Electrical wire connections; Pandals should be monitored periodically to avoid accidents and mishaps.
10. On days permitted by Police for immersion of Vinayagar idols, idols should be carried in permitted four-wheelers on permitted routes only and peacefully immersed.
11. Bursting of firecrackers is not allowed in places where Vinayagar idols are installed, procession routes and immersion Points.
Conversely, the Greater Chennai police have stated that the utterance of slogans that incite “religious hatred” or “offend the sentiments of other religions” is prohibited.
This directive is perceived as vague and potentially a means to clamp down on individuals associated with a specific ideology, especially given the current politically charged atmosphere where even chants of “Jai Shri Ram” are interpreted as “offensive to the sentiments of other religions.”
Additionally, there is a prohibition on the use of firecrackers during the procession for the immersion of Vinayagar idols. While it’s positive that the Greater Chennai Police is implementing precautionary measures for a seamless festival celebration, it has sparked inquiries into why similar concerns were not demonstrated during AR Rahman’s recent concert in Chennai.
The event turned chaotic with crowd mismanagement, stampede-like situations, incidents of molestation against women, and severe traffic congestion, resembling a nightmare.
On Saturday, September 16, a minor Hindu girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar was crushed to death while she was returning home from school. The accused Shahbaz and Arbaz had reportedly pulled her dupatta causing her to fall from her bicycle. Subsequently, the third accused Faizal killed her by running over his motorcycle on her. The accused were arrested under Sections 302, 354, 298 and 304 of the IPC along with relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
OpIndia on September 17 went to the deceased victim’s village in Ambedkar Nagar to meet her bereaved family. While speaking to them, we learnt that apart from the three arrested accused there was another person who was involved in the heinous murder of the minor Hindu girl.
The family also shared with us some personal information, like the hobbies and academic achievements of the deceased girl and spoke at length about the mental trauma she had been enduring recently because of the accused. They also gave us a detailed insight into what exactly transpired on the fateful day of September 16.
The deceased victim’s village is about 15 kilometres away from Tanda town in Ambedkar Nagar. The nearest market to the village is the Hirapur market. When we reached the deceased’s house, we saw all her family members and relatives sitting outside. The house they were staying in was in a really dilapidated condition.
View of the victim’s house from the outside
The father of the deceased 17-year-old, Sabhajeet Verma, who looked miserable after losing his minor daughter, told us how despite acute poverty he was somehow sending his daughter to school so that she could make a career for herself and look after him in future. Crying inconsolably while remembering his daughter, Sabhajeet Verma said that there were actually four culprits behind his daughter’s murder.
Besides Shahbaz, Arbaz and Faisal, whom the police apprehended, he named Salim’s son Munnu as the fourth accused. Munnu, he claimed, was a resident of the Arthalwa town. Sabhajeet Verma said that he had completely lost his senses when he saw the dead body of his 17-year-old daughter which is why he forgot to name Munnu as the fourth culprit. He also sought action against Salim’s son Munnu, as well as the other accused.
Calling the murder a well-thought-out and pre-planned conspiracy, the deceased girl’s sister and father said that they were waiting for Yogi Adityanath’s bulldozer to arrive at the houses of the accused. Notably, Munnu, the fourth accused is still at large.

Sections of murder and POCSO added, Ambedkar Nagar SHO suspended
Speaking on this development, the Superintendent of Police of Ambedkar Nagar district said that Section 302 of the murder and POCSO Act have been increased in the case. Hanswar police station SHO Ritesh Kumar has been suspended and a new police station in-charge has been posted.

OpIndia also spoke to the deceased’s elder sister who revealed how the accused had been harassing her younger sister for the last few months. They used to follow and hound the deceased continuously. About two months ago, the four accused had reached her house on two bikes, she said.
The sister added, “One day, my younger sister reached home on her bicycle. She was very scared. He told us how these youths had been following her from school and were waiting outside their house, Even though I had undergone surgery then and was advised bed rest I still rushed out to check but by then all four had fled.”
First pulled the dupatta then ran over the bike on her: Eyewitness in the Ambedkar Nagar murder case recounts the horror
OpIndia further spoke to the girl who was accompanying the deceased victim when the incident took place. She happened to be her cousin. She told us how the accused not only harassed them but also followed and hounded other girls at their school. She recalled how the accused used to come on their speeding motorcycles after school hours and harass the schoolgirls, adding that they did the same even a day prior to the incident.
जिसके साथ खेलती-पढ़ती थी, बेहतर जिंदगी के सपने देखती थी… उसने ऑपइंडिया को बताई सहेली के 'हत्यारे' बदमाशों की करतूत
Crying inconsolably, she said that on Friday, two of them came on a speeding motorcycle and the one sitting pillion pulled her dupatta from behind due to which lost her balance and her cycle drifted and she fell. Moments after that, Faisal ran the bike over her from behind. “By the time I reached there, blood was coming from her mouth and she could not say anything,” the friend said. Later, she was declared dead in the hospital.
The eyewitness cried bitterly while talking to us. She alleged that the four accused used to harass other girls in the same manner.
75-year-old grandfather bemoans losing his old age support
The deceased’s old grandfather sat before us crying inconsolably. “The deceased’s mother had died 8 years ago; it was she who was taking care of the household. From cooking to cleaning she managed everything along with her studies. Her two elder sister have gotten married and live at their in-laws house. I have a grandson who is still in class 5. It was she who took care of me and my son. I have lost my old age support, he lamented.
The Ambedkar Nagar Hindu victim wanted to become a doctor
The deceased’s father stated that his daughter wished to help people by becoming a doctor. He planned to send his daughter outside to study after class 12. The deceased’s sister reiterated her father’s sentiments. She was an exceptionally bright student, according to her sister, and when she died, the entire school staff gathered at their home to grieve her passing, she said.
The 17-year-old Hindu victim was an all-rounder
The deceased’s girl family gave us a tour of their house and the girl’s study room, which was filled with paintings made by her. One of her artworks especially caught our attention. It was a pencil sketch of a young girl donning a cap. The painting was placed on the wall beside a poster of Goddess Laxmi. Her father said that she was a very religious person and had immense faith in the Hindu goddess.
We also went through some of her notebooks, in which she had written her notes neatly in immaculate handwriting. Her chemistry notebook had remarks like ‘good’ from her subject teacher. Her school stationery including her geometry box was also kept very neatly in her room. Everything in the room was suggestive of her being a diligent student and an all-rounder.
Family wants nothing less than the death penalty for the accused
When OpIndia spoke with the deceased’s uncle, father, sister, and grandfather, they all said in unison that they demanded nothing less than the death sentence for the accused. The student’s father stated that he would be satisfied only when all four accused were hung to death.
“They should be made to stand in front of me and shot dead,” the destitute grandfather bemoaned.
“They should be killed like my sister was,” lamented the deceased’s elder sister.
Hiroshi Suzuki, Japan’s Ambassador to India, recently visited Delhi’s crowded Sarojini Nagar marketplace with his wife, Eiko Suzuki, and popular Japanese YouTuber Mayo Japan. The trio ate a variety of street delicacies including the licious Aloo Tikki and explored the local market.
The Ambassador on Sunday, September 17, shared his experience on Twitter (X) and said, “Wonderful, desi experience with Hindi-speaking Japanese YouTuber Mayo san!! Aloo tikki dijiye.” He also shared the YouTube video posted by a Hindi-speaking Japanese vlogger.

The video depicts Mayo Japan and Suzuki doing the hook steps from the Jailer movie song Kaavaalaa. Before walking farther into the market, all of them sampled some delicious aloo tikki from a local vendor.
Suzuki even took the time to try on different kurtas, eventually purchasing one that he adored. He liked it so much that he wore it for the rest of the video. The trio finished their culinary journey with freshly steamed veggies, chicken momos, and ram laddus.
The post has received a lot of engagement on YouTube with over 48,000+ views in a day. It has also received a large number of likes and comments.
It is to be recalled that earlier in the month of June, Hiroshi Suzuki had been to Pune, Maharashtra with his wife where he was seen having spicy Misal Pav, Vada Pav, and other local cuisines.
Also, on a visit to India in March, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida tasted various Indian delicacies, including ‘gol-gappe,’ ‘aam panna,’ and ‘lassi,’ during a visit to the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi with Modi.
On Sunday (September 17), the Telangana police arrested a man named Mohammed Shabad in connection to the rape of a 19-year-old girl at the ESI hospital in the Sanathnagar area of Hyderabad.
As per reports, the victim went to the hospital after her brother was admitted there on September 6 this year. Shabad worked at the hospital canteen and was introduced to the girl by the security guard, whom the victim knew beforehand.
A police official toldThe Times of India, “He (security guard) introduced her to the accused saying that the latter worked in the canteen and she could reach out to him for any help.”

While the victim was en route to the 5th floor of the hospital from the canteen, Shadab stopped the victim from boarding the lift. Later, he forcibly took the victim to the second floor and raped her. Shadab then took her to the blood sample collection room and violated her again.
“First, he proposed to marry her just outside the elevator and insisted that she give him her phone number. When she refused, he took her to some isolated place on the same floor and sexually abused her. When the girl started screaming, he allegedly dragged her to the blood sample collection room and raped her again,” a police official informed.
The 19-year-old was able to escape and notify her brother and the hospital authorities. But Shadab was able to flee the hospital premises. The administration of the ESI hospital later filed a complaint with the SR Nagar police.
The cops traced the culprit and nabbed him on Sunday (September 17). He was booked under Section 376 and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
