On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Delhi police has given permission to take out the Shobha Yatra in the Jahangirpuri area within a certain distance.
Hanuman Jayanti will be observed today. “The route has been prepared. In order to maintain law and order, permission has been given to take out the Shobha Yatra within a certain distance. Discussion held with the organising committee and an appeal have been made to take out the Yatra as per law and order”, said Delhi Police on Shoba Yatra in Jahangirpuri area on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Police had denied permission to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and another group to undertake processions in the Jahangirpuri area of the national capital on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on April 6.
Delhi Police told ANI that VHP and another group had sought permission to take out processions for Hanuman Jayanti but keeping in view the law and order situation, organisers were denied permission.
On April 16 last year, clashes had broken out between two communities in the area during a “Shoba Yatra” on Hanuman Jayanti.
Police said that elaborate security arrangements have been put in place in the Jahangirpuri area ahead of Hanuman Jayanti.
However, later taking cognisance of recent violence that broke out between two groups in West Bengal and Bihar during the Ram Navami procession, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an advisory to all states to ensure the maintenance of law and order in preparation of Hanuman Jayanti.
The MHA has also advised through its advisory for peaceful observance of the festival, and monitoring of factors that could disturb communal harmony in society.
“The MHA has issued an advisory to all states in preparation for Hanuman Jayanti. The governments are encouraged to ensure the maintenance of law and order, peaceful observance of the festival, and monitoring of any factors that could disturb communal harmony in society,” tweeted the Union Home Ministry.
The advisory has been sent to the Chief Secretaries and the Director Generals of Police of all States, said sources.
The MHA’s move followed recent clashes reported from West Bengal and Bihar when Ram Navami processions were taken out.

Ever since Gujarat High Court imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Delhi CM Kejriwal for using the RTI mechanism to get PM Modi’s degree which is available in the public domain and quashed a Central Information Commission (CIC) order directing Gujarat University to furnish information regarding PM Modi’s degree to the Delhi CM, Congress workers have been making hilarious to claim that PM Modi’s degree is fake.
After a Congress supporter made a fool of himself by claiming that Modi’s Gujarat University is fake based on a font, now another Congress supporter has claimed that the person who signed the certificate died before it was issued. A person named Anil Patel, who declares in his Twitter bio that he is a Congress supporter and social activist, claimed that former Gujarat University Vice Chancellor KS Shastri, who signed PM Modi’s degree issued in 1983, died two years earlier in 1981.
Screenshot of the tweet
He posted a copy of the MA Degree released by BJP in 2016, and a photograph of Prof K S Shastri. Under the photo, his name, the words Vice Chancellor, and below that 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981 is written in brackets. Based on it, Anil Patel claimed that KS Shastri died in 1981, therefore he could not have signed the degree certificate issued in 1983.
However, in a hurry to please his masters, he ended up proving himself to be a Pappu. Because, if 13-07-1981 is the date of death of Shastri, then the date before it would be his date of birth. The other date is 22-08-1980, which would mean the person died before completing the age of one year. This makes the possibility of him being the vice-chancellor of a university a bit far-fetched.
Therefore, the date range 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981 does not refer to the dates of birth and death of Prof. KS Shastri. That is because he is still alive, therefore the year 1981 can’t be his year of death. The former Gujarat Vice Chancellor is currently the chairman of the advisory committee at Som Lalit College in Ahmedabad.
The latest brochure and the mandatory disclosure of the Som-Lalit Institute of Management Studies mention KS Shastri’s name as the chairman of the advisory committee.
The date range 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981 actually refers to the tenure of Shastri as the Vice Chancellor, but not of Gujarat University. He was the vice-chancellor of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat during this period. In fact, the image of Shastri with his name and dates has been taken from the University’s website listing its former VCs.
KS Shastri became the vice chancellor of Gujarat University in 1981, and remained in that post till 1987, as mentioned on the University’s website. Therefore, he was the VC when PM Modi’s degree was issued, and therefore his signature and name appears on the certificate. Subsequently, he worked as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university from 1997 to 2000.
KS Shastri was the VC of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University from 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981, which has been mentioned below his photo in the universities website, but Congress supporter Anil Patel claimed it to be his birth and death dates in an attempt to prove that Modi’s degree is fake.
This is the second time this week that a Congress supporter made a hilariously wrong claim in an attempt to attach PM Modi over his degree. Earlier, a Congress supporter had claimed that an Old English font, also known as Gothic or Blackletter script, used in Modi’s Gujarat University MA certificate didn’t exist before 1992, therefore it could not have been used in the certificate issued in 1983. He claimed this based on the fact that a font named Old English Text MT was copyrighted by Microsoft. However, this was a completely wrong claim, because such Old English fonts are in use for around a thousand years, and the font used in the degree was developed in 1901. Moreover, such fonts have been in use by newspapers and universities for a long time.
Padma Awards of 2023 were conferred upon the awardees at the second Civil Investiture Ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan on 5th April 2023. Padma Shri awardee from Karnataka Bidri Ware handicraft artist Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri said after receiving the award that he thought the BJP government wouldn’t give anything to him as he is a Muslim, but PM Narendra Modi has proven him wrong.
Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri reiterated the same thing when he met PM Narendra Modi after the ceremony. A video of him thanking PM Modi has also gone viral on social media.
#WATCH | Padma Shri awardee Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadari thanked PM Modi after he received the award today
“During Congress rule, I didn’t get it (Padma Shri). I thought BJP govt will not give it to me but you proved me wrong, ” says Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadari pic.twitter.com/BKQGMKc10R
As PM Modi approached to meet the Padma awardees, Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri shook hands with the Prime Minister and said, “I am from Bidar in Karnataka. I applied for this award in the Congress tenure for five years. I did not get it. The BJP government came to power after that. I remained silent thinking that this is a BJP government and it will not give the award to us (Muslims). But you have chosen me and you have proven my thinking wrong. Thank you so much for this.”
PM Modi was seen laughing at his comments.
During a media interaction, Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri said, “I tried for this award for ten years. Every year, it would cost me Rs. 12000 for the application. I have this much big profile. It includes 50 color photos. That too cost me a lot. After five years, a BJP government was voted into power. I quit applying for this award thinking that the BJP government never gives anything to a Muslim. But Modi Ji chose me and proved that my thought was wrong. I thank Modi Ji, Amit Shah Ji, and everyone who has played a key role in this award.”

Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri had shown his astonishment when the prizes were discussed in January and claimed that until he got a call from a representative of the Central government, he could not believe it. At that time, he said, “I never expected the Union government to recognise the six-century-old exquisite Bidriware and honour me with the Padma Shri. I could not believe it until one of the officials from the Union government rang up and informed me about the national award.”
When he was ten years old, the 68-year-old Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri began this traditional craft. In defiance of his father Shah Mustafa Quadri, a craftsman who made Bidriware, he began studying art. Rasheed Quadri comes from a long line of artists. First in his family to begin this age-old craft work was his grandfather Shah Muhammad Quadri. Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri has previously received several awards, including the State Award in 1984, the National Award in 1988, the District Karnataka Rajyotsava Award in 1996, and The Great Indian Achievers’ Award in 2004.
On 5th April 2023, Apple reportedly announced that some older software versions of iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS will end support for services including the App Store, Siri, Maps, and other platforms soon. According to technology tipster StellaFudge, as of early May, access to Apple services, with the exception of iCloud, will stop working on devices running various older versions of operating systems.
StellaFudge indicated that the operating systems to go discontinued will include iOS 11-11.2.6, macOS 10.13-10.13.3, watchOS 4-4.2.3, and tvOS 11-11.2.6. The computers, mobile phones, smartwatches, and television sets operating on these systems will not get supports any further. The tipster also informed that users with devices running the above-mentioned operating systems will be notified of the upcoming change and also to update their devices to the one that still has support for Apple services.
As of early May, access to Apple services, with the exception of iCloud, will stop working on devices running: – iOS 11-11.2.6 – macOS 10.13-10.13.3 – watchOS 4-4.2.3 – tvOS 11-11.2.6 You’ll likely receive notification prompting you to update
Apple is anticipated to remove all of its services, excluding iCloud, from the iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 operating systems’ above-mentioned versions. It implies that all Apple services will no longer be supported on devices running the iOS 11 operating system, Mac OS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 operating systems.
Apple and other sources have not offered any justification for this impending shift. Today, several Apple services like iMessage, FaceTime, etc. may be used on older Apple devices. It should be noted that WhatsApp often eliminates outdated smartphones from its list of supported devices, thus this concept is not new. Similarly to this, there are numerous applications and services that continuously stop supporting earlier operating systems. Apple has begun releasing the iOS 16.5 beta to developers, which includes a number of new features including the Sports tab in Apple News, Screen-recording features, etc.
Apple is renowned for providing ongoing support, whether it is for software or hardware. Typically, the company maintains its previous services active for older operating system generations of devices. This change is, therefore, seen as the company’s changed stance towards the devices and supports for the older OS.
Months after removing reference to 2002 Gujarat communal violence from two class 12 textbooks, NCERT has omitted a section about the Gujarat riots from its Sociology textbook from class 11.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), which released the curriculum rationalisation booklet last year, did not mention the deleted paragraph from the class 11 textbook. However, according to NCERT Director Dinesh Saklani, the alteration was accepted during the same process and was mistakenly overlooked when the official announcement was made.
The deleted paragraph from the class 11 sociology textbook “Understanding Society” discussed how class, religion, and ethnicity frequently result in the segregation of residential areas and used the communal unrest in Gujarat in 2002 as an example of how communal unrest contributes to ghettoization.
“Where and how people will live in cities is a question that is also filtered through socio-cultural identities. Residential areas in cities all over the world are almost always segregated by class, and often also by race, ethnicity, religion and other such variables. Tensions between such identities both cause these segregation patterns and are also a consequence,” the now removed paragraph read.
“For example, in India, communal tensions between religious communities, most commonly Hindus and Muslims, results in the conversion of mixed neighbourhoods into single-community ones. This in turn gives a specific spatial pattern to communal violence whenever it erupts, which again furthers the ‘ghettoisation’ process. This has happened in many cities in India, most recently in Gujarat following the riots of 2002,” it added.
The Gujarat riots took place in the aftermath of the bloodcurdling Godhra train burning which resulted in the deaths of 59 Hindus, including women and children. The riots have often been mentioned without providing context about the train burning incident, which acted as a trigger for the ensuing violence that erupted in its wake.
The NCERT eliminated some topics from the course last year as part of its “syllabus rationalisation” effort, citing “overlapping” and “irrelevant” as justifications. These topics included lessons on the Gujarat riots, Mughal Courts, Emergency, Cold War, and Naxalite movement, among others, from its textbooks. The reference to the Gujarat riots was later removed from the Political Science and Sociology textbook for class 12.
In the chapter titled “Politics in India Since Independence,” two pages on the riots have been removed from the political science textbook for students in grades 12. The first page detailed the timeline of events and made reference to the Gujarat government’s censure by the National Human Rights Commission for failing to stop the violence. “Instances, like in Gujarat, alert us to the dangers involved in using religious sentiments for political purposes. This poses a threat to democratic politics,” the deleted portion read.
The second page included a collage of three riot-related newspaper articles and an excerpt from the National Human Rights Commission’s assessment of how the Gujarat government handled the disturbances in its Annual Report for 2001-2002.
In the class 12 sociology textbook, NCERT had purged a paragraph under the section titled “Communalism, Secularism and the Nation-State” which described how communalism “drives people to kill, rape, and loot members of other communities in order to redeem their pride, to protect their home turf”.
Other passages missing from the class 12 Political Science textbook for the new academic year include “Gandhiji’s death has a magical effect on communal situation in the country”, “Gandhiji’s pursuit of Hindu-Muslim unity provoked Hindu extremists”, and “Organisations like RSS were banned for some time.”
NCERT director rubbishes claims of dropping Mughals from books
Earlier this week, an unwarranted controversy erupted after NCERT amended content pertaining to Mughals from some of its books. Several media reports had widely speculated that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has amended its publications, notably the 12th-class History book, and removed certain chapters on the Mughal empire. After the rumour gained traction, the director of NCERT Dinesh Prasad Saklani addressed the issue and refuted the claims that were being spread by various news outlets.
The NCERT director told ANI that the chapters on the Mughals had not been removed. He stated that only the overlapping chapters had been dropped, alleviating the additional strain on children’s shoulders.
“It’s a lie. (Chapters on) The Mughals have not been dropped. There was a rationalisation process last year because due to COVID, there was pressure on students everywhere”, he said.
Calling the debate unnecessary, the NCERT director said the expert committee recommended that if the chapter was dropped, it will not affect the knowledge of the children and an unnecessary burden can be removed. “The debate is unnecessary. Those who don’t know can check the textbooks…”, Saklani added.
On Tuesday, 4th April 2023, violent clashes erupted between two groups in Ahmednagar in Maharashtra at night. In another incident, stone pelting took place in Nandurbar city in the state. In both these incidents, police have arrested several miscreants. A heavy police force has been deployed in the affected areas.
Stone pelting in Nandurbar
Stones were hurled after an altercation between two groups in the Maharashtra Gymnasium area of Nandurbar on Tuesday night. The miscreants threw stones and glass bottles, causing heavy damage. Three policemen who reached the spot were also injured. Police have arrested more than 25 people in connection with the incident while the accused are being identified and arrested continuously.
Two groups came face-to-face over a minor dispute near the Maharashtra Gymnasium area. On getting information about the incident, Superintendent of Police P R Patil rushed to the spot along with the police force. Police brought the situation under control by firing tear gas shells within half an hour.
Three policemen sustained minor injuries in the stone-pelting. Till 10 am on Wednesday, 25 people were arrested and a case was registered at the city police station. A contingent of the police force and state reserve force has been deployed in the city following the incident.
The police, with the help of municipal council staff, removed stones and glass from the road. Superintendent of Police P R Patil has directed strict action against the culprits involved in the violence. Police are also keeping an eye on social media and have warned that strict action will be taken against those spreading rumors.
Violence in Ahmednagar
A clash broke out between two groups in Ahmednagar Tuesday night. Four people were injured in this violence. Miscreants involved in the clash also damaged some vehicles and pelted stones. The Ahmednagar police have arrested at least 10 rioters in connection with the incident that took place late Tuesday evening.
Reportedly, the dispute started with a fight between some kids from two communities. The children called others, after which adults from both sides joined the fight and it soon escalated into stone pelting. Amid this, some people also burnt some vehicles parked in the area.
Ahmednagar MIDC police station official said, “A youth of the group passing near a mosque in the Gajraj Nagar area, was allegedly beaten up by members of another group, triggering a violent clash. A two-wheeler was set on fire and two vehicles, including a four-wheeler, were damaged during the clash between the two groups.”
During this, stone-pelting also took place. According to reports, a group had objections to keeping the ‘controversial status’ on social media. It first started beating and then the violence erupted. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ola said that the matter is being investigated. He said that action will be taken against the culprits under riot-related sections. Police have appealed to people not to believe in rumors.
In the last week, violence erupted in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on the occasion of Ram Navami. The Islamists pelted stones on the Ram Navami procession in Jalgaon. A Ram Mandir in the Kiradpura area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was attacked on the night before Ram Navami.
On Wednesday, the Calcutta High Court directed the West Bengal government to deploy central police forces to maintain peace during Hanuman Jayanti processions on Thursday. The court noted that during clashes over Ram Navami processions in the Hooghly district last week, an additional sessions judge was unable to obtain necessary security for his family.
The Kolkata Police’s list of 27 conditions for groups permitted to hold Hanuman Jayanti processions was reviewed by the bench. The court advised West Bengal that they should “impose even stricter conditions.”
During a hearing on a petition by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari, the bench consisting of acting Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam and Justice Hiranmay Bhattacharyya stated that due to the magnitude of the issue and to prevent any potential breach of peace, the state government should request assistance from paramilitary forces of the central government. The court added that the deployment of paramilitary forces would be beneficial to the state police. Adhikari’s petition called for an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the deployment of central police forces for Hanuman Jayanti in the state.
The high court directed the state to implement a raft of measures for the Hanuman Jayanti processions taking place on Thursday. These include capping the number of participants, setting up barricades, denying permission in areas where prohibitory orders have been issued, and recording the procession on video. The Kolkata Police’s list of 27 Dos and Don’ts for the processions prohibits motorcycle rallies, fireworks, loud music, and weapons such as lathis.
On March 30th, violence broke out in the Howrah district when a Ram Navami procession was allegedly targeted with stones. The violence then escalated and spread to the North Dinajpur and Hooghly districts over the course of the next three days.
According to the information presented to the high court, around 1,000 rallies were conducted across the state on Ram Navami, and approximately 2,000 applications have been received by the police for permission to hold Hanuman Jayanti processions on April 6th. The state’s advocate general, Soumendra Nath Mookherjee, acknowledged that it is uncommon to see such a large number of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti processions in West Bengal. He further explained that over the last five years, there has been an increase in requests for such events due to external influences.
While the bench acknowledged the influence of external practices, they emphasized the importance of the administration taking appropriate measures once the practice is introduced in the state. The court reiterated that its priority is to maintain peace and prevent any potential breaches.
Ahead of Thursday’s Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has instructed the state police to remain vigilant. Banerjee had accused supporters of the BJP of inciting violence during the Ram Navami processions.
When asked about the court order regarding the deployment of central forces for Hanuman Jayanti, TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh stated that the party’s leadership will analyze the order. He further commented that the BJP has a history of disregarding police directives and their workers have been seen carrying firearms. Ghosh accused the BJP of intentionally provoking violence and expressed hope that with the deployment of central forces, the BJP would hold peaceful rallies and demonstrate their true intentions.
Dilip Ghosh, the Vice President of the BJP, expressed his appreciation for the high court’s decision to deploy central forces for Hanuman Jayanti. Ghosh alleged that in previous incidents, the police had been ineffective and that they had been beaten and attacked with stones while vehicles were set on fire in front of them. He further criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming that she is blaming the BJP for the violence in order to conceal her own shortcomings. Ghosh also highlighted that the central government is always willing to assist states in maintaining law and order.
Violence erupts during the Ram Navami procession in Howrah
Last month, after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, advised Hindus to avoid ‘Muslim areas’ during Ram Navami processions, one such procession came under attack in Howrah today. Stones were pelted on the procession from the terraces of the buildings in the Shibpur area of Howrah, the twin city of Kolkata. This led to a clash between two groups, leading to violence and arson.
Vehicles and shops were also torched during the violence. Videos from the place show several vehicles on fire on the road, while many other vehicles were lying overturned. The damaged vehicles include a police vehicle. The neighbourhood where the violence was reported is dominated by Muslims.
On March 31, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal faced blowback from Gujarat High Court in a case where he had sought the degree of Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the RTI Act. The High Court came down heavily on Kejriwal and questioned the intentions behind seeking the details while the degree was already in the public domain. He was also asked to pay Rs 25,000 as a fine.
Despite being schooled by the High Court, Kejriwal and AAP leaders are consistently stuck on the matter and questioning PM Modi’s qualifications. Kejriwal is continuously calling PM Modi’ Anpadh’ and claiming that there is doubt about the educational qualification of PM Modi, and it could be the reason behind the worsening situation of the country’s economy. While making such baseless claims, Kejriwal either forgot or chose to ignore that under PM Modi’s leadership, India’s economy is now the world’s fifth-largest economy.
Interestingly, amid all the drama AAP leaders, including Kejriwal, have created, they missed out that Manish Sisodia, the former education minister of Delhi who also held many important portfolios apart from the position of Deputy Chief Minister, is not even a graduate. OpIndia accessed Manish Sisodia’s latest affidavit that he submitted to the Election Commission during the Delhi Assembly elections 2020.
Manish Sisodia is only a diploma holder. Source: ECI
As per the information provided by Sisodia himself, his education qualification was Diploma in Journalism from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, Delhi. Sisodia completed his diploma in 1993. Notably, it was not mentioned as PG Diploma that is done after graduation but as a diploma that is done after the 12th. As the Diploma is the highest education completed by Sisodia, it means the former education minister of Delhi is not even a graduate. The current education minister Atishi Marlena, who took charge only after Sisodia furnished his resignation following his arrest in a liquor scam, has done Master in Science from Oxford University in 2006.
Another AAP leader vocal about PM Modi’s education qualification is AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh. He holds a diploma in mining engineering from the Orissa School of Mining Engineering. He is also not a graduate.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s education qualification
As per the affidavit submitted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, he completed his SSC from Gujarat Board in 1967.
PM Modi did his masters from Gujarat University in 1983. Source: ECI
In 1978, he completed his Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University. In 1983, he completed his Master of Arts from Gujarat University, Ahmadabad. His graduate and master graduate certificates were put into the public domain by Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley in 2016 when Arvind Kejriwal started questioning the PM’s educational qualifications.
While Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP continue to allege that PM Modi’s degrees are fake despite the presence of the degrees and the recent high court verdict, one former AAP minister was actually caught obtaining a fake law degree. AAP leader and former Delhi law minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was arrested in 2015 on charges of cheating, forgery and fraud in obtaining his law degree, and his election was set aside by Delhi High Court in 2020. While Tomar had produced a degree from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar and used that to practice as a lawyer, the university in 2015 said that no such degree was issued to him. The university had filed an FIR against him in 2017 for committing fraud to procure a fake degree.
Another AAP leader, MLA Vishesh Ravi, was also accused of lying about his education, as he had claimed in his 2013 election affidavit that he had a BCom degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, while the university had said that there was no record of him studying there. However, in the affidavit filed in 2015, he claimed he has studied only till the 10th. He later claimed it was a mistake in the 2013 affidavit, and also said he was pursuing BA from IGNOU.
Actor Prakash Raj, known for harbouring pathological hatred for PM Modi and his penchant for sharing fake news against the Prime Minister, was in shock and hurt after Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep threw his weight behind the BJP for the upcoming state assembly elections in Karnataka.
“I am shocked and hurt by Kichha Sudeep’s statement,” tweeted Raj, who keeps attacking the BJP and PM Modi on Twitter, often with fake news and unfounded claims.
“I am shocked and hurt by Kichha Suddep’s statement,” says actor Prakash Raj on Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep extending his support to BJP for the upcoming #KarnatakaAssemblyElection2023
Raj expressed his disbelief after Kichcha Sudeep earlier today extended his support to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai who he referred to as his “mama” (uncle).
“I call the CM ‘Mama’ (uncle’ as I have seen him since my childhood. I have very few people who stood by me since childhood, so it won’t be wrong to call him Mama (uncle). I didn’t have a godfather when I entered the film industry. I want to extend my support to him (CM),” Sudeep said at a press conference, lavishing praises on Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai.
Earlier, Prakash Raj had said that Sudeep was “far more sensible” than to fall prey to the BJP. Reacting to reports that said Kichcha may join the BJP, Raj tweeted, “I strongly believe this is Fake news spread by the desperate, losing BJP in Karnataka. @KicchaSudeep is far more sensible Citizen to fall prey (sic).”
During a press conference in Bengaluru where he showed his support for the BJP leader, Kichcha Sudeep was questioned about his response to the tweet. In his reply, he expressed his respect for Prakash Raj as a film star and stated that he looks forward to his films, despite any comments he may make.
Despite speculation, the actor denied any plans to participate in the upcoming state elections, stating that he will only campaign for the BJP.
“It is for some of the people he wants me to support. When I tell him that I’m supporting him I will go by what he wants [and] his requirements. I cannot campaign for everybody,” Sudeep said.
Sudeep marked his entry into the film industry with the Kannada movie Thayavva in 1997. In addition to his appearances in Kannada films, he has also acted in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi movies.
According to reports, Sudeep has represented the state of Karnataka in the Under-17 and Under-19 cricket teams at the state level.
Ram Navami is a festival of joy for the Hindus. It is an auspicious occasion in the Hindu calendar year. On that day, Hindus seek blessings from Lord Rama, provide food to the needy, perform rituals, take out processions, and so on. But the celebrations this year turned foul as Ram Navami processions and Hindu participants were attacked in several places of the country.
Hindus were targeted as violence erupted and a conspiracy was hatched to keep Hindus in fear by bombing and arson. The radical Muslims pelted stones and also hurled footwear at the Hindu participants in some locations. Further, propaganda was spread by the radicals saying that the violence was committed by Hindus who also allegedly made attempts to harass the Muslims.
The narrative for this propaganda was written by the fanatical Muslim warriors of the ‘peace-loving’ Islamic ecosystem and the task of disseminating it widely was accomplished by the leftists and liberals. People from all walks of life including Bollywood stars, Pakistani heroines, journalists, social media influencers, teachers, and political organizations, including Indians, Pakistanis and foreigners, fueled hatred to defame Hindus on Ram Navami. The process was executed systematically and Meer Faisal, a purported journalist, was used as a pawn in this game.
Meer Faisal, working for ‘Maktoob Media’, posted a long thread on Twitter with several videos on the very night of Ram Navami (30-31 March 2023). There were a total of 24 tweets in the thread, with a total of 30 videos, from which the 21st tweet has been deleted now. This is because the Rajasthan Police, which is usually favoured by the Islamic-Left ecosystem, fact-checked it. The video below, to which the Ganganagar Police of Rajasthan has responded, was posted in the 21st tweet of the thread by Faisal. He is supposed to have deleted the tweet after he learned that the Rajasthan Police were arresting those people who are spreading fake news in the case.
pic.twitter.com/Yx0IPqxnKe
The video was shared claiming that a saffron flag was hoisted on a mosque during the Ram Navami procession in Binjbyala village in Padampur Tehsil in Rajasthan’s Ganganagar District. But the police clarified that it was the residence of a private citizen, and said that two persons have been arrested for spreading fake news.
The technique of propaganda used by Meer Faisal was very common- posting a random video and writing anything between 2-4 lines about it to associate Hindus with violence. The Rajasthan Police managed to capture one, and the remaining 23 will be exposed one by one.
1. Violence in Maharashtra’s Kiradpur region
A 12-second video served as the thread’s introduction on Twitter. It was claimed that several bike-riding teenagers in the predominantly Muslim region of Kiradpura yelled ‘offensive’ chants against Muslims. Following this, there was a fight, and then violence broke out. However, the truth of the video is something else.
The fact is that, even after viewing the 12-second video 12 times, it is difficult to determine who shouted the slogans, who provoked whom, who committed the acts of violence, where the stone-pelting originated, or who set the vehicles on the road ablaze. The Islamic left circulated a fabrication that they thought was true and convenient enough to play the victim.
The violence at Kiradpura reportedly comprised of bombing and stone-pelting in front of the Ram temple. The second fact is that AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel himself claimed that he protected the Hindu temple from Muslim protesters. Jaleel estimates that 500 or more persons threw stones at the temple. Jaleel’s claim, made in an attempt to prove himself to be a hero, proves that it was the Hindu temple which came under attack.
The temple was filled with Hindus seeking safety inside, along with several police officers. The rioters were unable to enter due to the temple’s large gate and internal lock. They then attempted to knock down the saffron flag that was up at the entrance.
2. Provocative songs in Bihar’s Lakhisarai
Meer Faisal posted a one-minute video on the matter and alleged that the Bajrang Dal workers flashed swords and conducted the Ram Navami procession by playing provocative songs. According to Faisal, it was announced on the loudspeaker in the middle of the song – “Jinko Pakistan pasand hai, woh Pakistan chale jaiye. We will not stop them, will give free tickets.”
In Lakhisarai, Bihar, Bajrang members brandished swords and played provocative songs during Shoba Yatra.
“Those who like Pakistan should go to Pakistan. We will not stop them but provide free tickets.”+ pic.twitter.com/lzuLPtmsng
The truth of the video is again something else. The Ram Navami procession in Lakhisarai was peaceful, in accordance with the video. Hindus bear swords and perform stick juggling on Ram Navami as a show of devotion and solidarity. How is the song that plays in the background when you watch the video, “Jai Shri Ram” provocative?
Also, it remains pertinent to mention that Islamists keep raising Pakistan Zindabad slogans. They keep praising the country that launches attacks and sends terrorists to India. The slogan is targeted towards those people who love Pakistan and invokes Pakistan during their anti-Hindu activities. This suggestion sounds good as people who like Pakistan and fervently support Islam can freely go to their ‘favorite’ place.
3. A youth attacked in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh over his name and religion
Meer Faisal shared a 12-second-long video in the thread. The video showed an injured young man, lying on a hospital bed. Faisal said that 3 people had attacked the injured youth with knives after asking his name and religion.
The fact is that neither the injured youth said anywhere in the video that he was attacked after asking his name and religion, nor the people standing near him could be seen or heard saying so. Further, the SHO of the concerned police station of Khandwa district confirmed to OpIndia that there was no mention of any Hindu-Muslim dispute in the complaint written to the police.
The youth who is injured, who has been stabbed, is not saying that the attack on him was by Hindus but the so-called journalists and the leftists spread the conspiracy and claimed that ‘Muslims were in danger’ by posting a 12-second video.
The SHO has also termed the injured Muslim youth’s actions as suspicious. He said that it is being looked into the reason why the young man had walked so far from the bike to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. According to the findings of the police inquiry so far, this young guy was asked by two people for directions to the Dargah to offer a Chadar while travelling by bike at night.
After this, he turned back and asked whether this is the time to offer Chadar. There was a fight on this matter and this young man got stabbed. However, to know the truth of this allegation, the police are also getting the CCTV checked.
4. Manzoor Khan thrashed for stealing cow in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district
The next clip spans two minutes and 20 seconds. On a hospital bed lies a man who is hurt. The wounded man can be heard in the video claiming that 40–50 individuals encircled and attacked him. He said that an animal had been stolen from the area where the conflict had erupted and that the locals had inquired about his identity before attacking him.
Meer Faisal has uploaded the full video of the incident in which the victim is openly accusing the Hindus of the attack. However, the journalist accepted the truth while attempting to defame Hindus. The truth of this video was revealed by the station in-charge of Churchu police station of Hazaribagh district.
The reality is that Manzoor Khan was passing through the village of Balidih where cattle were recently stolen by some people. The locals were interrogating strangers and outsiders coming and departing in this matter. They also questioned Manzoor Khan. He fought and used abusive language there, according to the Churchu police station’s station chief. Following this, there was an altercation between the two sides. Nowhere throughout the entire situation was there a dispute between Hindus and Muslims, and there was no conflict based on identity or religion.
The station in-charge clarified that the matter was wrongly reported by the media and was unnecessarily sensationalized. A complaint has been registered in the case under the relevant sections and further investigations are underway.
In the above video, the number of the concerned Churchu police station is mentioned at the bottom right corner. The same number is available on the police website of Hazaribagh district. But Meer Faisal supposedly forgot to check that as he wanted to spread propaganda in the name of journalism.
5. Mian in Bihar’s Kishanganj abused
The video shared in the incident is only of seven seconds. As seen in the video, some people are riding vehicles and raising ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogans. In the midst, someone says, “Mian madar$^@ hai.” However, the audio of the clip is not clear and it is also not known who raised the abuse if at all it was raised. Did Hindus abuse or Muslims deliberately said so to defame Hindus under a conspiracy?
Neither any complaint has been lodged with the Kishanganj police regarding this video, nor has any report been published in the media. Some unknown video of 7 seconds was posted by the ‘journalist’ just to defame Hindus. And it was made viral by Islamic-leftist social media influencers.
6. Killing of cow in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad, Muslim youth tied to a tree
The incident took place at Bhurkunda in Dhanbad district. 2 videos have been published, one is 4 min 44 sec and the other one is 5 min 37 sec long. It was written by Faisal that a Muslim youth was thrashed and tied to a tree by the mob. The victim was accused by the villagers of killing a cattle on Ram Navami.
In Jharkhand’s Bhurkunda Bari, Dhanbad. A Muslim youth was attacked by a mob and chained to a tree after they claimed that his family members slaughtered a bull. The mob also used violence, overturning several police vehicles.+ pic.twitter.com/QL6mXdMgjR
It seems that the videos were not reviewd by the ‘journalist’. The truth of this video has been told by victim identified as Shahabuddin himself who was beaten and tied to a tree. The bullock was ill in Shahabuddin’s home, he claimed. On the exact day of Ram Navami, that animal was put to death. Shahabuddin himself revealed who did it and the decision taken by his father. The killing of the cattle on Ram Navami was an insult to the local Hindus’ beliefs. They objected as soon as they learned about something like this. They said that cattle had previously been stolen in the region. There was criticism towards the local police administration as well.
All this has also been published in many media reports. It is also clear in both videos. But the facts were hidden to spread propaganda and to show the Hindu mob as violent that too on Hindu festivals. Their motive seems clear- prayers should be offered five times a day on loudspeakers, tazia processions should take place with pride, swords should be drawn openly in Muharram processions, traffic on Shab-e-Barat may be disrupted by hoodlums on bikes, but Hindus should be defamed on Ram Navami as a part of a conspiracy to make India an Islamic nation by 2047.
7. Violent Hinu mob pelts stones on Masjid in Vadodara, Gujarat
Meer Faisal posted a 1-minute long video of the incident. A Masjid is seen in the video and stones can be seen pelted at it. People from the Masjid are also seen pelting stones at the mob. However, it is not at all clear who is throwing stones at the Masjid and who is re-attacking. But Faial chose to defame Hindus by saying that they were pelting stones at the Masjid.
The violence in Vadodara in Ram Navami has already been reported by several media channels. But Faisal chose to ignore those reports and spread in this one-minute-long video. A Ram Navami procession was taken out in the Fatehpura Garana Police Chowki area. As the procession passed by a mosque in the area, a brawl broke out between the two sides. After a brief argument, stone pelting started at the devotees in the procession from near the mosque.
People present in the mosque pelted stones at the Shobha Yatra that started from Kumbharwada in Vadodara. A person could be seen in the video, jumping inside the mosque by throwing a stone from the roof of the mosque. After this, the police entered the mosque. When the police went to the so-called ‘Muslim area’ to arrest the criminals, they were surrounded by Muslim women. The women also abused and instigated the people around them against the police.
8. Saffron flag in the premises of Dargah Haji Abdul Rehman Malang Shah
In the 28-second video, a youth is seen raising slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Aai Bhavani Shakti De, Malang Gadala Mukti De”. He also has a saffron flag in his hand. No abuse for anyone, no provocative talk, no violence of any kind. How can anyone claim Hindu violence on Ram Navami by posting this video?
The leftist ecosystem has always given examples of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb. Many have earlier posted pictures of Roja-Iftari in the temples and have captioned them saying, “This is the real India”. Then what is it that the slogan of Jai Shree Ram with the saffron flag in the Dargah and the entry of Hindus have come under the category of violence? Doesn’t the concept of Ganga-Jamuni culture apply here? The Islamist and leftist ecosystem should welcome this. Every year on Ram Navami every mosque-madrasa-dargah should be open to welcome the saffron flag. After all, only then the picture of ‘real India’ will be portrayed.
9. Saffron flags waved on the outer wall of Mathura Jama Masjid
A few too exuberant young people scaled the balconies of the roadside businesses after being moved by emotion. The two minutes and 20-second video makes this very apparent. Some individuals ascended and raised the saffron flag as well. Everything is glaringly obvious. These young people did not perform any aggressive acts, which is obvious but also evident to have seen. They committed the mistake, whether intentionally or unintentionally, of mounting the nearby mosque’s balcony after scaling the balconies of the stores. So did they turn into extreme Hindus as Meer Faisal claimed? In no way.
Four mischievous youngsters were apprehended by the Uttar Pradesh police quickly, and they were also imprisoned. The government of Chief Minister Yogi adheres to the motto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” Whether it’s Ram Navami or Eid, if something is wrong, appropriate action is taken.
Mathura Police Press note
The propaganda of Meer Faisal who claimed ‘Hindu extremist’ got exposed here too. “Mischievous act by miscreants” – that is the truth of this case.
10. Police Atrocities on Muslims, Violent Hindu Mobs in Vadodara (Gujarat): Total 8 Videos
Video No. 1: Meer Faisal posted a video of 59 seconds but failed to listen and understand it and got trapped in his own game. How? In this video, women are seen abusing the policemen. When they were not satisfied with the abuses, these women also incited the people around them against the police by saying ‘pelt stones’.
Video No. 2: Some youths in the video are seen pelting stones. Meer Faisal posts a 51-second long video but fails to explain why and who is pelting stones. He just attempted to spread propaganda by writing, “This (stone pelting, violence) is happening in the name of Ram Navami”.
The truth of the tense situation that prevailed in Vadodara on Ram Navami is that stone pelting was done near a mosque during the Shobha Yatra. Many videos have come in which it is clear that the Shobha Yatra was pelted with stones not only from the roofs around the mosque but also from the mosque itself.
Video No. 3: A woman is alleging in this that the police entered her house while breaking the fast, and ransacked it. Didn’t even give time to break the fast. The allegation in the 1 minute 26 seconds long video is just emotions. However, the police do not act on emotions, it follows orders.
It is a normal police procedure to go and investigate the houses from where stone-pelting would have taken place. Note the face of a woman standing outside the gate at the end of this video because after 2 videos one would see the same woman again. According to the Gujarat Police, a group of these women surrounded them and stopped them from taking action, abused them and incited people to pelt stones at them.
Video No. 4: A woman named Asma Banu is accusing the police that they entered her house by breaking the door at the time of Iftari. It is also alleged that there were no female police personnel in the police team and her clothes were also torn. In the 1 minute 53 second video, Asma Banu is also showing the badge of a policeman, which she snatched from someone’s uniform.
We spoke to the Gujarat Police to know the truth. DCP Abhay Soni told OpIndia that false allegations are being levelled to defame the police. He also said that these are the same women who were also involved in stone pelting. He termed the allegation that there was no female police personnel in the police team as completely wrong.
According to the DCP, the police have only and only acted in accordance with the law. The badge of the policeman that Asma Banu is showing in the video is that of Vadodara’s Joint CP Manoj Ninama. Meaning that if the police intervene, they surround the cops, throw stones at them, snatch their badges or otherwise abuse them and later play the victim in front of the media. Training at Shaheen Bagh appears to have expanded throughout India.
Video No. 5, 6, 7, 8: In video no. 5 are the women who, according to the Gujarat Police, were involved in stone pelting. Don’t know why video number 6 has been inserted, which shows some autorickshaws with damaged windshields. Maybe just to increase the volume of videos. Whose auto rickshaws are attacked, why are the glasses broken, and who broke them… nothing is clear in the videos.
In video number 7, a woman is making allegations in Gujarati. This lady repeatedly looks to her left from where something is being hinted at or suggested. She is accusing Hindus and police of violence on Ram Navami but there is a lack of training and rote learning, it is clear in the video.
Video number 8 seems absolutely useless. It shows a police team arriving at a house and defining a person who is resisting going with the police. Police have come to arrest or detain the accused from the house and it is natural that the accused will not sit in the police van by themselves. What will the police do in such a situation? Will drag, forcibly pick up, and put in the car.
In all these videos related to Vadodara, Faisal could not prove the point of violence by Hindus. On the contrary, the Muslim woman whom he had set out to advocate, turned out to be among of the stone pelters.
11. Demand for Hindu Rashtra in Jammu
The 1 minute, 32-second long video starts with a slogan, “What is India… Hindu nation.” After this, a woman reporter interviews a person, in which the establishment of both Hindu Rashtra and Ram Rajya is talked about.
When did demanding something peacefully become illegal in democratic India? How did Hindus become violent by putting forth their demands? There can be only one motive behind inserting this video in the thread, which is suggesting- ‘Be it Ram Navami or Chhath, Hindus shall stay in their homes, should neither chant Jai Shri Ram, nor do bhajan-aarti’.
12. Violent Hindus arson, vandalism on Ram Navami in Howrah (West Bengal): 5 videos
Several individuals are setting fires in the first video, which lasts 52 seconds. On the road, in the second video, are some automobiles that are upside down. In this 45-second video, one person is speaking in a Bihari tone instead of Bengali. In the third video, which lasts for 13 seconds, some individuals are pelting stones. There is arson in the fourth video, which lasts 17 seconds. The fifth film, which lasts 19 seconds, likewise depicts arson.
Even after uploading 5 videos, Meer Faisal could not prove why stone pelting happened in Howrah. Who started it? Who attacked the Hindus taking out the procession of Ram Navami? Everything will be clear with just one video which went viral on March 30. However, the five conspiracist videos showing Hindus’ violence were tweeted on March 31. We also reported on the violence in Howrah on March 30.
Video shows a peaceful community throwing stones on #RamNavami Yatra in #Howrah . This incident takes place hours after speech of #MamataBanerjee where she was indirectly giving a heads up to M community to do their job if Hindus enter in so called ‘M area’ #RamNavami. pic.twitter.com/TGppouLg85
Muslims have even justified the attack on Ram Navami procession because it was going through a Muslim area during the Azaan hour and Iftar was about to begin.
It is clear that Meer Faisal who calls himself a journalist is a perfect fit for spreading propaganda. He does not even cross-check the events and facts before defaming Hindus and playing the victim on behalf of the Muslim community.
13. Resolution of Hindu Rashtra, T Raja Singh and threat to Muslims: 2 videos
It is good that people like Meer Faisal are not taken seriously in India, otherwise, these people would have imposed a ban on taking even simple resolutions like, “I will study from January 1.”
We had to write this because the resolutions taken in the first video of 45 seconds are – I will not allow cow slaughter, I dedicate my life to the Hindu nation, I will not create a divide on caste, I will not create a divide in politics, as long as I live … There will be only one resolution Hindu Rashtra.
During the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra, Hindu far-right leader T Raja Singh speaks out against Muslims in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Someone needs to explain to here where is violence implicated in all these slogans or resolutions. In the video, T Raja Singh or his supporters did not even utter a word about violence. The caption of the second video accuses T Raja Singh of speaking against Muslims. Just listen to the video of 1 minute 56 seconds. The truth of this video is that T Raja Singh has not spoken a single word that is pointing toward Muslims.
14. Provocative slogans raised in front of mosque in Mumbai
Nothing but slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ can be heard in the 26-second-long video shared by Meer Faisal. Whereas it has been captioned as “Hindu crowd stopped in front of the mosque in Malad, Mumbai, raised provocative slogans.”
The question is, if there is a road in front of the mosque, do hardline Islamists own the road? Why can’t Hindus pass through there? The Muslims should ask themselves on which all roads they offer Friday prayers. And under which section of the Constitution is the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’ declared provocative?
15. Saffron flag hoisted on the mosque of Sriganganagar (Rajasthan)
By linking this video to the mosque, Meer Faisal attempted to circulate false information. He secretly removed the video after being told by the Ganganagar police in Rajasthan about the arrest of two persons circulating false information. In a tweet thread with 24 posts, this was the 21st post. Faisal is supposed to have deleted the tweet after he learned that the Rajasthan Police were arresting those people who are spreading fake news in the case.
16. Saffron flag hoisted at the Dargah of Hazrat Kale Khan in Khargone (Madhya Pradesh)
Similar to the Mathura Jama Masjid case, here too an over-enthusiastic youth committed wrong. The office bearers of the Hindu organization also condemned the incident and expressed regret for this. The local police administration took immediate action and registered an FIR in the case. According to Khargone City SHO, one person has also been arrested.
The Madhya Pradesh government adheres to the motto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” Whether it’s Ram Navami or Eid, if something goes wrong, appropriate action is taken.
17. Mosque and cemetery in Nalanda (Bihar) gutted in fire: 2 photos, 2 videos
The first video lasts for 19 seconds. “All of the Miyan people’s stores have been set on fire,” someone is heard announcing in the background. However, it is not clear who is speaking in the video. Yet, Meer Faisal claimed that it was a voice of a Hindu speaking. The second video, which lasts for 39 seconds, features a crowd. It is hard to tell if someone is Hindu or Muslim in the crowd. Also included are 2 photographs, both of the arson. Even in this case, it remains unclear who started the fire.
The Nalanda DM Shashank Shubhankar and the Bihar Police have provided a direct response to the mosque fire and the ‘violent Hindu concept’ on Ram Navami. DM Shashank Shubhankar has refuted the allegation that the Mosque was set on fire. There was no information of a mosque being set on fire, he stated.
Bihar Police’s warning to those who spread rumors
Further, if only Hindus were violent on Ram Navami, then who pelted stones at the procession in Bihar Sharif? According to media reports, 6 youths who participated in the procession were injured due to the attack.
Meer Faisal is just a pawn, Islamic-leftist ecosystem is the root
Ram Navami was just one special event. But Hindus will continue to be the target of hatred every day. Under the conspiracy, Hindus will be afflicted with such an inferiority complex that eventually they will be forced to stay at their homes on their festivals. The game of labelling Hindus as aggressive has already begun, both on social media and in politics when speakers refer to the “Muslim region” on stage. Only Hindus will suffer as a result. This is the reason why in the beginning the staunch Muslim soldiers were addressed with the word ‘pawn’. This game is in fact being played by the entire Islamic Left ecosystem.
And the leader of this entire ecosystem is Mohammed Zubair who extends support to such minor Muslim warriors. In the Haldwani slum clearance case, Zubair had praised the same Faisal for his ground reporting (which was biased and false). It is absurd that Zubair, who considers himself a fact-checker, does not verify the false information spread by his troops. People like Meer are then hailed by the ecosystem once they are ready and equipped enough to push the narrative.
Thanks for your ground report @meerfaisal01 bhai ❤️✊
Meer Faisal’s thread was retweeted by over 3900 people. This is possible because some big names retweeted the tweets first. These names range from Bollywood heroes to radio jockeys, journalists to professors, leaders to political parties, and eminent foreigners. Here’s the list of the prominent names and their professions who are part of this ecosystem-
-RJ Sayema (Radio Jockey) -Sushant Singh (Bollywood actor) -Karuna Nundy (Supreme Court lawyer) -Zafarul Islam Khan (Former Chairman of Delhi Minorities Commission) -AIMIM Bihar -Muzamil Jaleel (Deputy Editor of The Indian Express) -Professor Trisha Gupta (Jindal School of Journalism and Communication) -Indian American Muslim Council -Sehar Shinwari (Pakistani heroine)
Such persons are plentiful, and their reach makes them much more dangerous. They have infiltrated every aspect of the system, regardless of Bollywood, the Supreme Court, politicians, or political parties. Hindus need to struggle against this system in order to maintain their survival. Hindus need to get together and fight undivided if they want the sounds of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ to grow louder and louder.
