As AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan is declared a ‘BC’ by police, Delhi Court grants him bail after he created a ruckus during the anti-encroachment drive

On Friday, controversial AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was granted bail by the Saket court after he was arrested by the Delhi Police and sent to judicial custody for protesting and instigating locals against the anti-encroachment drive in Madanpur Khadar.

According to the reports, Khan on Thursday had protested against the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) whose officials had reached the south Delhi ward of Madanpur Khadar to execute the anti-encroachment drive. The drive was part of its 10-day action plan to remove illegal encroachment from several areas in all four zones in the national capital.

“I am ready to go to jail if it saves the houses of poor people. There is no encroachment here. I will support them (civic body) in demolition if there is any encroachment”, Khan had said obstructing the government work. He also had called his other AAP associates and created a ruckus during the anti-encroachment drive in Delhi.

Pertinently, the Delhi Police has officially declared Amanatullah Khan as ‘BC’ or ‘Bad Character’ as he has more than 18 FIRs registered against him. Police claim that Khan is declared a ‘history-sheeter’ and a ‘Bad Character’ because he is a habitual offender and has serious cases such as land-grabbing and assault lodged against him.

It is important to note that the AAP MLA had created a similar ruckus during the anti-encroachment drive that was carried out in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area earlier. On May 9, a massive drama unfolded when the MDC officials reached Shaheen Bagh to take action against the illegally constructed infrastructures in the area. Hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters led by Amanatullah Khan and Congress workers staged protests in the area to obstruct the civic body’s ongoing anti-encroachment drive.

Protesters raised slogans against the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and the Central government, demanding that the action be halted. Some of the female protesters even stood in front of the bulldozers to prevent the exercise from taking place.

Despite the resistance from the AAP supporters, the authorities have demolished two five-storey under-construction buildings in the Madanpur Khadar area amidst the presence of police personnel. Besides Madanpur Khadar, civic authorities have also carried out another planned anti-encroachment drive in the Prem Nagar area of Delhi’s Patel Nagar today.

Khan and his supporters have been booked under sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.

Security forces neutralize the three Pak-backed Islamic terrorists involved in the killing of Kashmiri Hindu Rahul Bhat

In a major breakthrough in the dastardly killing of the Kashmiri Hindu Rahul Bhat, the security forces neutralized the three terrorists involved in the act. The development comes within 24 hours of the brutal murder of the young government employee at Chadoora in Budgam.

As per TOI journalist Bharti Jain, one terrorist identified as Gulzar Ahmed, was killed in Bandipora earlier and the two others were neutralised in Bandipora a while back.

It may be noted that after the brutal killing, it was reported that terrorists belonging to the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad are suspected to be involved in the killing of the Kashmiri Hindu government employee Rahul Bhat in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The cold-blooded murder of Rahul Bhat has enraged the Kashmiri Hindus in the valley who on Friday hit the streets to protest the heinous murder. The protesters blocked the highway and staged protests against the killing of Rahul Bhat, who was killed in a targeted attack on Thursday this week.

The demonstrations saw participation from government employees and families of Kashmiri Hindus living in Budgam to mark their protest against the administration over the killing of Bhat.

The participants also demanded that the governor Manoj Sinha speak to them about the spate of targeted attacks against the minority Hindu community in Kashmir.

The police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas shells to disperse the Kashmiri Hindus.

Moreover, almost 350 Kashmiri Hindu Prime Minister package employees in Kashmir have sent their resignation to Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha saying that do not feel safe in the valley following the killing of Rahul Bhat.

Pakistan, Khalistani Babar Khalsa and a Canadian Sikh mastermind: Punjab Police arrests 6 in the Mohali bomb blase case, reveal ISI involvement

The Punjab Police has arrested six people in connection with the blast that occurred on the third floor of Punjab Police’s intelligence office in Mohali on Monday.

According to the reports, Punjab Director General of Police VK Bhawra addressed a press conference on Friday to reveal the involvement of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the Mohali blast case. The Punjab DGP said that Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and local gangsters were involved in the bomb blast carried out at the behest of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

‘We have cracked the case. The main person, who was the key conspirator, is gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa from Tarn Taran. He shifted to Canada in 2017,” DGP VK Bhawra said.

Canada resident Lakhbir Singh Landa, a close associate of Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda, is the main conspirator of the attack, Punjab DGP VK Bhawra said in a press conference.

The Punjab police chief said that Landa carried out the RPG attack with the help of associates Nishan Singh and Chadat Singh, both residents of Tarn Taran. The Police said one Nidhas Singh had housed the terrorists at his house. Nishan Singh collected the RPG from the locations provided by Landa and delivered them to the attackers. Baljinder Singh Rambo, another resident of Tarn Taran, picked up an AK-47 rifle and gave it to Chadat Singh.

Chadat Singh and two other attackers left Tarn Taran on May 7 and two days later attacked the intelligence headquarters in Mohali. The Punjab Police have also suspected the role of a Mohali resident Jagdeep Kang who provided local support and helped in recee before the attack.

So far, the police have arrested six Khalistani terrorists – Kanwar Bath, Baljeet Kaur, Baljeet Rambo, Anandeep Sonu, Jagdeep Kang and Nishan Singh. Nishan Singh allegedly provided the rocket-propelled grenade which caused the blast.

Mohali blast at Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters

On Monday, Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali was attacked using a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG). Reports suggest by assessing the ammunition head, it was RPG-22. The warhead was launched at the HQ at around 8 PM by unidentified persons.

Mohali Superintendent of Police (HQ) Ravinder Pal Singh called it a ‘minor blast’ and said, “It’s a minor blast. The attack happened from outside the building. It has been done with rocket-type fire. No casualty or loss happened. Our senior officers and FSL team are investigating it.”

Notably, when asked if it was a terror attack, SP Singh said, “It can’t be ignored. We are investigating it.”

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann held a high-level meeting on the matter and assured that the culprits would be captured soon.

‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj dreamt of a grand Hindavi Swarajya, Marathi kingdom was not on his agenda’: Says Kalicharan Maharaj

Kalicharan Maharaj, who was in Thane on 13th May 2022 to watch Late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe’s biopic ‘Dharmveer’, said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj dreamt of a grand Hindavi Swarajya and Marathi kingdom was not on his agenda. While talking to TV9 Marathi, Kalicharan Maharaj expressed his views on various issues including Anand Dighe, Raj Thackeray’s recent stand on Hindutva, and Akbarudding Owaisi’s recent visit to Aurangzeb’s tomb.

About Anand Dighe, Kalicharan Maharaj said, “Dharmveer Anand Dighe was a Rajarshi. Raja means one who is in politics and Rushi means one who stands for Dharma. Anand Dighe was a combination of both and hence he was a Rajarshi. What he had done for dharma is ideal for others. I hope that people will follow in his footsteps to make a Hindu Dharma Samrajya in Bharat. I came here and watched the cinema for the only reason that I am also doing the same.” It is notable that the Marathi feature film ‘Dharmveer’ is based on the life of Late Anand Dighe who was a Shiv Sena leader from Thane in Maharashtra. The film is written and directed by Pravin Tarde and well-known Marathi actor Prasad Oak has played the role of Anand Dighe in this film.

On being asked about who is a real Hindu, Kalicharan Maharaj said, “हिंसयति दुष्ट दुर्गुणानां सः हिंदुः which means – one who kills his own bad qualities and finishes off bad tendencies in the society, he is a Hindu. Every Hindu deity is having a weapon for the same reason. Our idols fought wars and battles to protect this nation and Dharma. Committing violence to protect the nation and the Dharma is the way shown to us by our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, Lord Shri Rama, Lord Shri Krishna, Kali, Durga, Chandi, Chamunda and Lord Shiva. Every one of them has shown us the path to use weapons to protect the nation and the Dharma. Therefore, as told in Bhagvadgeeta, we must follow the way of fighting evil just like these great people did. We must learn to be violent in the way our army and police force is. There is no alternative to this.”

He further said, “शस्त्रेण रक्षिते राष्ट्रे शास्त्रचर्चा प्रवर्तते which means ‘knowledgeable talks can take place only in a nation that is protected by the weapons’. The only reason Muslims broke and burnt our universities like Nalanda and Takshashila is that only knowledge part was left there at that time and the people have forgotten the weapons. Had there been a better resistance, we could have saved the knowledge, and today Bharat would be the Vishwa Guru and Bharat would have reestablished the Chakravarti Samrajya on this globe by now.”

On Raj Thackeray‘s recent stand on Hindutva as against his previous politics around the Marathi issue, Kalicharan Maharaj said, “Differences on the basis of languages have caused great pain to the Hindu hearts in the past. When we talk of Marathi only, at that time we hurt the sentiments of Gujaratis, Marwaris, Bengalis, Akhomiyas, Hindis, Udiyas, Tamils, Telugus, Kannadigas, and Malayalis. All of them are Hindus only. So we must take on the agenda of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Marathi Kingdom was not on his agenda. He dreamt of a grand Hindavi Swarajya. When we will take the idea of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the idea of making Hindavi Swarajya, at that time, all of us will automatically forget the differences based on languages, regions, varnas, and castes. All we will remember at that time will be Dharma which is Hindutva. It is only after this, that we will be able to establish Hindavi Swarajya all over Bharat and realize the dreams of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”

On being asked about everyone in the politics turning towards Hindutva, Kalicharan Maharaj said, “Politics should also be Hindutva only. As Veer Savarkar has said, Hindufication of politics and militarization of Hindus is extremely necessary. And I am happy that all the Hindutvavadi leaders are walking on that path.”

Kalicharan Maharaj also expressed his opinion on Akbaruddin Owaisi’s recent visit to Aurangzeb’s tomb. He said, “Whenever we bow our heads with deep respect in front of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or in front of his Samadhi, at that time, we are actually considering him as our hero and trying to follow his footsteps. Now, the one who has bowed his head in front of the tomb of Aurangzeb is clearly indicating whom he considers his hero. They are implying that they have the same plan called Gazwa-e-Hind just as Aurangzeb had. Hindus who are indulged in fights over languages, regions, castes, and varnas need to understand this. They want to convert the whole of India to Islam and that is why they are bowing down in front of Aurangzeb’s tomb. They are openly showing that Aurangzeb is our hero and whatever he had done is heroism for us and they further try to give a message through this act, that they will also do the same. It is the meaning underlying this act. Therefore, all the Hindus should put all their differences aside and for the realization of the Hindavi Swarajya, all the Hindus must unite together at the lotus feet of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”

Calling a man ‘bald’ is sexual harassment: UK employment tribunal

0

A United Kingdom employment tribunal has ruled that calling a man ‘bald’ at the workplace constitutes sexual harassment. The judge ruled that since hair loss is more prevalent among men than women, commenting on a man’s baldness at the workplace is similar to commenting on the size of a woman’s breasts, thus making it sexual harassment.

The ruling was made by a panel of 3 men, who themselves are struggling with their loss of hair. The panel – led by Judge Jonathan Brain – deliberated on whether remarking on someone’s baldness is simply insulting or actually harassment, and eventually decided it is harassment.

The ruling was made in a case between an electrician and the manufacturing firm where he was employed.

Tony Finn, a veteran electrician, who stands to get the compensation post this ruling, had worked for British Bung Company in West Yorkshire for nearly 24 years before he was fired last year in May. After his sacking, he took the company to the tribunal, alleging that he was sexually harassed at the workplace by his supervisor Jamie King.

Finn alleged that during a row on the shopfloor, King referred to him as a “bald c*nt*. As per reports, Finn wasn’t that upset about the use of the expletive “c*nt”, a common term used in the UK, but was more upset about the use of bald to describe his appearance.

Announcing the judgment, the tribunal noted, “It is difficult to conclude other than that Mr. King uttered those words with the purpose of violating the dignity and creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for Mr. Finn. Of his own admission, Mr. King’s intention was to threaten [Finn] and to insult him. In our judgment, there is a connection between the word ‘bald’ on the one hand and the protected characteristic of sex on the other.”

The 3 bald men also noted that they can vouch that baldness is more common among men than women, therefore reference to it constitutes sexual harassment.

As part of its ruling, the panel raised a previous case where a man was found to have sexually harassed a woman by remarking on the size of her breasts. The tribunal noted that the person at the receiving end of a remark about the size of breasts is likely to be a female, just like the person on the receiving end of a remark about baldness is likely to be a male.

The compensation amount for Mr. Finn will be decided at a later date.

Kerala: Puraikkal Jaisal, hailed as a hero during the 2018 floods for rescuing people, arrested in an extortion case

Jaisal KP, a fisherman from Kerala’s Malappuram who was hailed as a hero for rescuing people in the 2018 Kerala floods, has been arrested in an extortion case.

According to the reports, the 37-year-old Puraikkal Jaisal of Parappanangadi Avil Beach was arrested in connection with an extortion case dating back to April 15, 2021.

KP Jaisal, a fisherman from Tanur, had won hearts on social media after he broke his back for people stuck in floods in the state in August 2018. He had bent himself in knee-deep water to help three stranded women, including an infant, board a rescue boat during the floods that stuck Kerala during the monsoon that year.

The visuals of Jaisal had gone viral, turning him into an instant hero of the flood’s rescue efforts. Interestingly, the fisherman had met Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi in Alappuzha, who had facilitated him for his brave act.

However, three years later, he has now been arrested in an extortion case. Jaisal and another man had allegedly extorted money from a young man and his female friend who was sitting in a car near Tanur beach.

Jaisal and his friend had captured the images of the duo in the car, threatened them, and tried to extort Rs 1 lakh from them. Following this, the youth’s friend had sent Jaisal Rs 5,000 via Google Pay.

Later, the duo filed a complaint against Jaisal and his friend at the Tanur police station. However, Jaisal had responded, saying the complaint was fake. Jaisal had also filed anticipatory bail petitions in the district court and the high court, but they were rejected. Following this, Jaisal had absconded. The police have now managed to arrest him in connection with the extortion case.

Gujarat hate crime: Accused Shakir arrested for beating his sister’s boyfriend Mithun Thakur to death, girl attempts suicide

The Gujarat Police on Friday accused and arrested Shakir of brutally assaulting and killing a 22-year-old man named Mithun Thakur in Rajkot, Gujarat. Thakur was in love with Shakir’s sister Sumaiyya Kadivaar and their inter-faith relationship was disapproved by the accused. He, along with his three unnamed associated went to Thakur’s house in Rajkot and beat him to death.

The Police on May 13 said that while the prime accused in the case has been identified and arrested, they are searching for the other accused persons. The Police also stated that Sumaiyya who had attempted suicide after Thakur’s death was in stable condition and was being treated further.

“We got to know that the accused’s sister had attempted suicide. She is stable now”, said Pravin Kumar, DCP (Zone-I) of Rajkot. The Police have booked the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As reported earlier, Sumaiyya, the sister of the accused had tried to end her life by slashing her wrist. She was, however, rushed to the hospital where she survived. The entire matter came to the fore after the girl was admitted to the hospital. Mithun (22) and Sumaiyya (18) were in love and Shakir had found them talking to each other on phone. He then threatened Thakur to stay away from his sister.

On May 11, a furious Shakir went to Thakur’s residence and assaulted him. One of his neighbors noticed Thakur lying unconscious at his home after which he rushed him to Rajkot Civil Hospital. Later he was taken to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Reportedly, Thakur and Sumaiyya stayed in the same neighborhood in Radha Krishna Society on Jungleshwar main road. Sumaiyya’s parents are divorced, and her mother also works as a laborer at a private company. Mithun Thakur was a native of Bihar and he and his father Bipin were manufacturing workers in Rajkot.

This is one of the many such incidents of hate crimes where Hindus have been assaulted and killed by the family members of their Muslim lover or wife. Recently, a young man named Billapuram Nagaraju was stabbed to death in full public view by the family of his Muslim wife outside the Saroornagar Tehsildar’s office in Hyderabad. The video of the brutal act had gone viral on social media platforms.

Also, a 24-year-old man from Gujarat’s Sarkhej was beaten up by three of his wife’s family members, who also kidnapped his wife after they objected to the interfaith marriage. In the current case, the Police have arrested the main accused Shakir, and have booked him under the relevant sections of the IPC.

UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passes away, 40-day national mourning announced

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away on Friday, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced. The 73 year old emirates president was also the ruler of Abu Dhabi.

“The Ministry of Presidential Affairs mourns to the UAE people, Arab and Islamic nations and the world the death of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who passed away on Friday, 13th May, 2022, wishing Allah Almighty grant him eternal peace and the UAE people patience and solace,” a statement issued by Emirates News Agency WAM said.

The ministry has announced that UAE will observe a forty-day national mourning with the flag flown at half-mast starting today.  Moreover, work will be suspended at all ministries, departments, and federal, local and private entities for three days.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan had been serving as the president of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi since November 3, 2004. He had succeeded his father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first president of UAE, who had become to president after the formation of UAE in 1973 and remained in the post till his death on 2 November 2004.

Sheikh Khalifa was born in 1948, and was the eldest son of Sheikh Zayed. Even before becoming the president, he was handling several presidential duties as the crown prince since late 1990s, as his father was facing health problems.

He is considered one of the richest monarchs in the world, and was the richest emirate in the UAE. His net worth is estimated to be over $18 billion, most of which comes from his investments in the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, a sovereign wealth fund owned by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi where Khalifa was the president. He also controlled 97.8 billion barrels of oil reserves. The Al Nahyan family is believed to hold a fortune of $150 billion.

It is noteworthy that world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa in Dubai was named after the late UAE president. The skyscraper was originally named Burj Dubai, but after Abu Dhabi and the federal government of UAE lent Dubai 10 billion US dollars to pay off its debts, the structure was renamed as Burj Khalifa in honour of the UAE president.

‘Remove Police for 10 minutes, will send Owaisi to Aurangzeb’, Nitesh Rane on Akbaruddin Owaisi’s visit to Aurangzeb’s tomb

All India Majilis e Ittihadul Muslimin party MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi’s visit to Aurangzeb’s tomb has triggered a major controversy in the state of Maharashtra. Following the controversial MLA’s visit to Aurangzeb’s tomb, Maharashtra MLA Nitesh Rane has publicly challenged him.

In a throwback to Owaisi’s infamous “15 minutes” remark, Rane wrote, “I challenge you, remove the police for 10 minutes. If he is not sent to Aurangzeb, we are not the soldiers of Shivaraya!!!”

In another tweet, targeting the khichdi government of Uddhav Thackeray, Nitesh Rane wrote, “Owaisi knows that even if he dances naked in front of Aurangzeb’s grave, he will be able to travel around Maharashtra on two legs. Because there is an impotent government in the state. This is called their true Hindutva.”

Akbaruddin Owaisi is on a visit to Aurangabad and on Thursday, the 13th of May, he visited Aurangzeb’s tomb in Ratnapura (Khultabad). He was accompanied by party leaders Imtiyaz Jaleel and Waris Pathan on the occasion. BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has expressed his anger at a time when there has been a flurry of criticism over this visit. He has also targeted the state government in his tweets.

While talking to TV9 Marathi, Nitesh Rane said, “Basically, can’t expect anything different from the mouth of one whose name itself is ‘Hagbar’. He went there and offered flowers on the tomb of Aurangzeb. One must think about what exactly was he trying to do? What message he was trying to give to the Hindus in Maharashtra who love and respect Shivaji Maharaj? Aurangzeb, the one who tortured our Sambhaji Maharaj, the one who did not even spare his own parents and relatives, the one who was such a tyrant -Owaisi visited his tomb. Did Owaisi want to give a message that he will stand on your chest and bow down to Aurangazeb’s tomb and walk away from Maharashtra standing on his two legs?”

Rane excoriates the MVA government over inaction against Akbaruddin Owaisi’s visit to Aurangzeb’s Tomb

Criticizing the inaction by the state government over the remarks made by Owaisi in his speech, Nitesh Rane said, “And what did the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra do? This is a government that doesn’t not like Hanuman Chalisa and Jai Shriram. This government files sedition cases on those who chant Jai Shriram and recite Hanuman Chalisa. It has been already 24 hours since ‘Hagbaruddin’ came here and went back. Why doesn’t the government show the guts to file a case against him? Why doesn’t this Uddhav Thackeray government show the courage to file a sedition case against him? At other times, they are willing to show their manliness while filing sedition cases for chanting Hanuman Chalisa. File a sedition case against Owaisi. Impose the relevant sections on him.”

Warning the state government of the intense reaction of the people, Nitesh Rane said, “If the state government and Uddhav Thackeray cannot do this, then leave it to us. We being the MLAs or MPs or being from Shiv Sena or Congress is a later thing. First of all, we all are Marathas and we love Shivaji Maharaj. And if someone is insulting our Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj, then please give us 10 minutes. I would not even ask for the eleventh minute. For just 10 minutes, give that ‘Hagbaruddin’ in our custody. If we don’t make him fall beside the Aurangzeb’s tomb, we will not call ourselves the soldiers of Shivaji Maharaj.”

When asked about whose Hindutva is real, Nitesh Rane said, “Any staunch supporter of Balasaheb Thackeray will never agree to this. People whose blood is saffron in colour, might not have slept throughout the last night. And still, he is roaming freely. Some Chandrakant Khaire arises and says four words of condemnation. Some Sanjay Raut awakes and makes some critical comment and that is all? You have got a state government and a police force at your deployment. Show some courage by utilizing it in a proper way.”

Nitesh Rane further said, “If you are the real Hindutva warrior, then show a glimpse of your Hindutva to that Hagbaruddin Owaisi. All the admirers of Shivaji Maharaj in the country are angry at this moment. If tomorrow somebody goes to Aurangzeb’s tomb and urinates there, shoots a video, and makes it viral, then this state government and its inaction will be responsible for the probable law and order situation that may arise. Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj are our deities and we know very well how to answer those who insult our deities in this manner. I warn Hagbaruddin Owaisi that we will not care about the government, the law and order and the police at that time.”
