The Delhi High Court has issued notice to Delhi Police, Delhi government and the Centre in connection with a petition seeking registration of FIRs against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for hate speech during anti-Hindu riots in Delhi, reports Bar and Bench.
The petition also seeks the registration of hate speech FIRs against Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, riot-accused AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, AIMIM leaders Waris Pathan and Akbaruddin Owaisi, and Advocate Mehmood Pracha.
A Division Bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar issued the notice to Delhi Police and Centre seeking cases against opposition party leaders and several others. The petition has been filed by Lawyers Voice, through Advocate Archana Sharma.
Apart from seeking registration of FIRs, the petition also seeks the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the alleged hate speeches. The matter will be heard next on April 13.
The petitioners submitted the speeches made by Sonia Gandhi, Manish Sisodia and others to the court and stated that they were against national interest and provoked the masses.
Earlier in the day, the Delhi High Court had issued another notice to the Union government in connection with the impleadment application seeking FIR against controversial George Soros-linked ‘activist’ Harsh Mander, and rabble-rousers like RJ Sayema, Swara Bhaskar, Amanatullah Khan (AAP Party) under appropriate IPCs & IT Act and also directions to NIA to conduct an investigation into anti-Hindu riots.
Addition to these notices, the Delhi HC had also issued a notice to the center in connection with impleadment application filed by the Hindu Sena President for registration of FIR against AIMIM leaders Akbaruddin Owaisi, Asaduddin Owaisi and Waris Pathan for hate speech.
Apart from seeking registration of FIRs, petitioner Sanjiv Kumar also sought a direction to the National Investigation Agency to conduct a probe into anti-Hindu riots in Delhi. The application also carried a screenshot of an OpIndia report to state that RJ Sayema had incited a mob to gather outside police headquarters during anti-CAA protests.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra has proposed to extend the contentious 5 per cent reservations for Muslims across educational institutes in the state.
#BREAKING | Maharashtra govt proposes 5% quota for Muslims.
Informing about the government proposal to provide reservations to Muslims in educational institutes, Minority Affairs minister Nawab Malik said that the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government will soon bring in an ordinance to this effect in the ongoing Budget session. He also assured the State Legislative Council of taking ‘appropriate action’ in this regard before the beginning of the upcoming academic year and admissions process.
It is pertinent to note that the Shiv Sena was amongst the political parties who had vehemently opposed the reservations based on religion in Maharashtra but owing to the changing political dynamic, it appears to have acquiesced to the NCP-Congress demand of passing reservations for Muslims in education.
Interestingly, in 2018, it was the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra that had ruled out the earlier ordinance passed by previous NCP-Congress government granting a 5 per cent reservations for Muslims on the grounds of Supreme Court and High Court rulings barring reservations based on religion. The Bombay high court, however, had allowed reservation in educational institutions for Muslims but dismissed reservations in jobs in 2014.
Slamming the BJP, Malik said that despite the Bombay High Court’s approval to grant reservations for Muslims in educational institutions, the saffron party did not bring an ordinance to accomplish it. The minister added that legal advice is being sought regarding reservations in jobs and a decision will be taken soon.
Despite the reservations in Maharashtra already breaching 70 per cent mark, the Thackeray government in the state is all poised to pass the quota for Muslims which was apparently also mentioned in the manifestos of NCP and the Congress party.
Ravinder Sharma, the father of IB official Ankit Sharma, who was killed during the anti-Hindu riots in Delhi’s Khajuri Khas on February 26th, has revealed the gory details of the heinous crime in the FIR registered at Dayalpur Police Station. Pinning the blame on AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and his men for the death of his son, Kumar alleged that his son’s body was thrown from a mosque into the drain.
Calling for a criminal probe into the matter, Ravinder Sharma, who is a head constable in the Intelligence Bureau, divulged that Tahir Hussain had assembled goons at his residence who were firing guns and throwing petrol bombs from the rooftop which led to tension and fear among residents.
According to the FIR, Ankit Sharma had gone missing along with his two friends on Tuesday, soon after he returned from work around 4.30 pm. The deceased saw some chaos outside and stepped out to see what was happening. His two friends had accompanied him.
“On 25th February my son Ankit left the house to buy some goods and provisions. When he didn’t return back we started searching for him. We first went to nearby police stations at Khajuri Khas, Dayalpur and later enquired about him in nearby hospitals. After searching him through the night, we filed a missing complaint with police on 26th February,” Kumar said in the FIR.
After talking to the neighbours, the father of the deceased found that Ankit along with a local identified as Kallu and others had gone out.
“When I enquired about Kallu, I was told that someone was attacked and murdered after which the body was thrown in a drain near Chand Bagh. The cops called divers who found the body of Ankit. He was only wearing his innerwear and there were deep slashes and cuts on his face, chest, back which could have been the result of a sharp-edged weapon. His face was burned indicating that acid was used,” said Kumar in the FIR.
Meanwhile, Ankit’s brother Ankur Sharma had alleged that Hussain’s men had caught Ankit and his two friends and took them away.
Ankit Sharma’s brother has also maintained in his various conversations with the media that his brother was murdered by Tahir Hussain and a Muslim mob that was working under his command.
Speaking to OpIndia editor Nupur J Sharma, Ankit’s brother Ankur divulged the chilling sequence of events that led to the brutal murder of his brother. He said that the Muslim mob had dragged Ankit to Tahir Hussain’s house, the AAP corporator. While Ankit was being dragged inside by the Muslim mob, from the 4 storey building belonging to Tahir Hussain, stones started raining down on everyone below.
In fact, it was not just stones that rained down. Ankur says that along with stones, petrol bombs and even gunshots were being rained own by the Islamists from inside Tahir Hussain’s building.
According to Ankur, this was being done so nobody would attempt to rescue Ankit. As soon as Ankit started being dragged inside the house, Hindus ran to rescue Ankit, however, they were fended off by the rain of stones, petrol bombs and bullets.
“Unhone Ratan Lal ko bhi maara, DCP ko zakhmi kiya, ye log police ke logon ko maar rahe hai. Ankit ne apne aap ko IB officiial bataya, isiliye maar giraya”, Ankur said.
“It was Tahir Hussain who killed him, didi. He is the head of the riots here. He is conducting the riots. He was directing the Musalmans who dragged him inside the house. Arvind Kejriwal will paint my brother as a rioter, didi. He was not a rioter. He was a government official who had gone there to convince people to stop fighting. He knew people from both sides. He is a Shaheen”, Ankur said distressed.
“Help us get Shaheed status for Ankur, he was not a rioter, Arvind Kejriwal will try to prove he was one”, were his last words before Ankur left to wait for his brutally murdered brother’s mortal remains, to perform his last rights.
According to the Ankit Sharma’s forensic reports, he was stabbed over 400 times for four to six hours.
He has stab wounds all over his body and not even a single portion of it was spared. He was stabbed for hours, four to six hours, by possibly as many as six individuals together. Moreover, his intestines were ripped apart, says the autopsy report. Forensic doctors have reportedly said that they haven’t seen such nightmarish mutilation in their lives. The report says that the body had “multiple abrasion.. deep cut.. by sharp edge objects”.
The panel of doctors, who carried out post mortem, has clearly stated that Ankit Sharma was brutally and repeatedly stabbed, which had caused his death.
An FIR has been registered against Tahir Hussain under section 302(a) of the IPC for the murder of Ankit Sharma, on the complaint filed by Ankit’s family.
A day after Delhi police registered a case against Aam Aadmi Party leader Tahir Hussain for his involvement in the murder of IB employee Ankit Sharma and for instigating anti-Hindu riots in Delhi, the controversial AAP corporator is now absconding fearing action by the Delhi police.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) has put up a poster in Aurangabad announcing a reward of Rupees 5000 to the informers who will provide accurate information about Pakistani and Bangladeshi infiltrators in their area.
As per the reports of ANI, the leader of the student wing of MNS, Akhil Chitre has also declared a reward of rupees 5000 to the informer. It is also cited that the identity of the informer will be kept secret.

Earlier this month, MNS workers had put up posters outside Matoshree, the residence of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray seeking eviction of illegal immigrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh from the colonies which have cropped up in CM’s own area-Bandra. The posters read as, “Bangladeshi and Pakistani infiltrators need to be evicted from India. If this is your stand, then you need to clean up these colonies of infiltrators which have cropped up in your own backyard in Bandra first.”
After Raj Thackeray extended support to Centre on CAA-NRC, he’s leaving no chance to fill the void of Hindutva left by Shivsena. Earlier MNS put posters in Panvel, Navi-Mumbai warning the illegal immigrants to leave India or they’ll the driven out in ‘MNS Style‘.
MNS Chief Raj Thackeray met Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to show his support for Citizenship Amendment Act. On Balasaheb Thackeray’s birthday, MNS had launched its new flag and emblem heavy with Hindu symbolism.
On Thursday, Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting of the security arrangements in the National Capital over the violence that broke out in North-East Delhi on February 24. He has appealed to citizens to not believe in rumours and not get provoked by the “evil designs” of miscreants and groups who are interested in precipitating communal tension.
After three days of intense violence, no major incident has been reported in the last 36 hours in the area. Although the administration has imposed section 144 in the entire northeast Delhi for a month, now it has been decided to relax it for 10 hours tomorrow in light of the improvement in the situation.
As a confidence-building measure among different sections of the society, Delhi Police has started holding Peace Committee Meetings across Delhi to normalise the situation and improve inter-community harmony. Such Peace Committee Meetings would continue till situation normalises.
East Delhi Municipal Corporation has already initiated steps to clean the streets and repair damaged public properties in riot-affected areas.
On Sunday, a clash broke out between Pro-CAA and Anti-CAA groups in Maujpur near Jeffrabad, thereby leading to heavy stone-pelting and vandalism of public property.70 officers had been injured. 12 police stations were affected during the Anti-Hindu riots.
38 people had lost their lives in the riots, while more than 200 have been injured. The injured include around 70 persons from the security forces. 48 FIRs had been filed and 514 suspects had also been rounded up by the police. The cops have set up 2 SITs for investigating serious cases of offence that took place during the riots.
A Delhi police constable, Ratan Lal, was shot dead during the riots. Another DCP has been injured during clashes between two groups in Delhi’s Gokulpuri. 42-year-old Hindu Activist Vinod was lynched by a Muslim mob in front of his son Monu for sporting a “Jai Shree Ram” sticker on his bike.
An Anti-CAA rioter by the name of Mohammed Shahrukh was seen firing 8 rounds and intimidating a police officer. But, this did not prevent the cabal of left-liberal journalists to claim “Bhagwa terror” and cast aspersions about the name of the perpetrator.
The body of a young officer of the Intelligence Bureau, Ankit Sharma, was recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh. He was stabbed 400 times for four to 6 hours before being dumped into a ditch.
7000 CRPF personnel had been deployed at ground zero along with 3 Special CPs, 6 Joint CPs, 1 Additional CP, 22 DCPs, 20 ACPs, 60 Inspectors, 1,200 other ranks and 200 Lady Police to contain the situation and prevent further damage to life and property.
To pacify the situation, the Delhi police has held close to 330 Peace Meetings with different sections of the society. These meetings had members of Civil Society Groups, besides representatives of various political parties. The cops also held meetings with Residents Welfare Associations (RWA) and Market Welfare Associations (MWA).
Besides Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier appealed, “Peace and harmony are central to our ethos. I appeal to my sisters and brothers of Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood at all times. It is important that there is calm and normalcy is restored at the earliest.”
UP CM Yogi Adityanath has warned rioters in Uttar Pradesh against engaging in violence and taking law into their own hands during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh issued the warning on Wednesday during the ongoing budget session of the UP Legislative Assembly.
He also said that the opposition was trying to ruin the image of the country and said that there was no cause for protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
The saffron-clad Mahant of Gorakhnath Math said, “If some people are mistaken that they can run things in their own way by taking law and order into their hands, the government knows how to find a solution.” He also said that some “10-15 people are killing others and if they expect the government not to lathi-charge them, it was not going to happen.”
Most significantly, Yogi Adityanath said, “Ek baat ko note kar lein… kisi galatfemi ke shikaar honge.. yeh ‘Qayamat ka din’ kabhi nahi aane wala hai (Note one thing… if anyone has fallen prey to any misunderstanding, the day of judgment will never come).” Qayamat is an Urdu word that means Judgment Day. In Abrahamic faiths, it is believed that the sins and deeds of all individuals will be judged on that particular day and the sinners will be sent to hell. It is also believed that all ‘believers’ of God will be admitted to heaven while ‘non-believers’ will be cast unto hell. The end of the world is also a prominent feature of Judgment Day.
Yogi Adityanath further said that the government believes in dialogues, however, anarchy and violence will not be allowed to manifest themselves in the state. He said, “Loktantra ki aad mein aagjani karne ki chhoot sarkar nahi degi…tod phod karne ki chhoot sarkar nahi degi aur jisne kiya hai us se vasuli bhi karegi (In the name of democracy, the government will not allow arson or violence and those, who have done it, will be held liable for the damages done.”
Uttar Pradesh had witnessed massive violence in the wake of the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The state had suffered massive damage to public property. Yogi Adityanath had adopted a hardline stance towards the rioters. He said that there are no provisions to provide monetary relief to people who died on streets rioting against the state. “Ji Nahin (no, please),” the CM replied when he was questioned about giving compensation to the family members of the people who died in the riots.
The Uttar Pradesh government had also identified at least 498 properties to seize them, which belonged to rioters who vandalized public properties in the state during the anti-CAA protest. Yogi Adityanath had also walked the talk on his promise of making rioters pay for damaging the public property in the state as Muslim residents of Bulandshahr were made to pay over Rs 6 lakh to the district magistrate.
Head Constable Ratan Lal had lost his life during the violence in North East Delhi. Amidst the riots, a video of a man opening fire at the police, and one policeman bravely standing in his way has also emerged. The shooter, identified as Shahrukh is current absconding and efforts are on to nab him.
Violence had erupted across the national capital again as anti-CAA Muslim rioters escalated their efforts to spread anarchy in Delhi.
The post-mortem report had revealed the exact cause of the death of the Delhi police head constable Ratan Lal who had lost his life in the riots that have ensued in Delhi in wake of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
According to the autopsy report cited by News Nation, Ratan Lal had died of a bullet injury. Earlier, it was believed that a stone took his life. “A bullet was stuck in Ratan Lal’s body. It entered from left shoulder and went to the right shoulder. It was removed during autopsy,” the report said. “Ratan Lal was shot dead,” the autopsy report revealed.
Ratan Lal belonged to Fathepur Tihwali village in Rajasthan’s Sikar district. Lal is survived by his wife and three children. The Sikar resident had joined the Delhi Police as a constable in 1998. He married a Jaipur resident in 2004.
With the brutal murder of Ratan Lal during the anti-CAA riots, the family has several mouths to feed with an earning member gone. While the Islamists rampaged through the city, Ratan Lal fought bravely to protect the lives of innocent civilians.
After several Hindus, distressed by the Islamic onslaught sought details of Ratan Lal’s family’s bank account so they could help the family sustain, cop Arun Bothra uploaded the details on Twitter.
Speaking to OpIndia, Ratan Lal’s brother confirmed the bank details. When asked what his family requirement was, with a heavy voice and nothing much left to say after his brother was taken away, here merely said, “Jaise jiski Bhavana”.
Following are the bank details of his family:
Name: Mrs Poonam Bari A/C no: 33150100023786 Bank of Baroda IFSC Code – BARB0BURARI (Fifth Character is Zero)
The Supreme Court Friday refuses an urgent hearing on Prashant Bhushan’s plea on the issue of the ‘communal riots’ in the national capital which has until now claimed 37 lives and left more than 200 people injured.
The Bench headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde and Justices BR Gavai and Surya Kant felt no need for an urgent hearing and agreed to list the matter after the apex court has finished hearing the reference made in the Sabarimala case.
“Will hear the plea after Sabarimala,” said the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde.
#Breaking | Supreme Court refuses urgent hearing on Prashant Bhushan’s plea on the issue of Delhi violence.
‘Will hear the plea after Sabarimala,’ says CJI SA Bobde.
In view of the Delhi riots, Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan felt that there needs to be a separation of powers within the Delhi police. The wings concerning investigation and law and order need to be separated, Bhushan said, pointing out that in the absence of the which, a situation similar to what is happening in Delhi may arise.
Though it is now sufficiently clear that the Delhi riots were nothing but a selective, well-coordinated and planned outrage against the Hindus by Islamist fundamentalists, the senior advocate went on to brazenly pin the blame on the Delhi police.
As per a report in Bar and Bench, Prashant Bhushan appearing before the SC alluded that in the recent riots that ensued in Delhi, there are police personnel who are also accused, thus, in his plea before the Supreme Court, he pointed out the necessity for a separation of the two wings.
“Investigation is part of the administration of criminal justice while law and order is an executive duty, the two need to be separated”, said Prashant Bhushan in his petition.
This is not the first time the Congress loyalist has cast aspirations on the Delhi police and the central government. Last month, speaking about the violence in JNU, which was actually planned by the leftist goons, Bhushan had taken to Twitter to abuse the Delhi Police by calling them “Dalla” (Pimp) and had gone on to pin the blame on the Delhi Police for being “involved in a very very serious deep-rooted criminal conspiracy with the ABVP”.
Delhi has been on the edge after Islamists ran amok, resorting to stone-pelting, arson and vandalism, destroying public properties worth crores and hurting several police personnel and civilians in the ensuing mayhem in the name of anti-CAA protests, perfectly timed with US president Trump’s visit to India.
The Delhi Police on Thursday released details of 37 people killed in the communal riots in the national capital, Delhi. More than 200 people have been injured during the anti-Hindu CAA riots in New Delhi.
According to the reports, 21 victims died due to the gunshot wounds in the anti-Hindu riots in Delhi. Four people died of ‘stabbing injuries’ and four more due to ‘assault’, while three died to “assault with burns” and the cause of death was not known for four people.
Of the killed, 14 were Muslims and 11 were Hindus, while the religious identities of the others are yet to be known.
The sheer enormity of the brutality heaped upon IB officer Ankit Sharma by the Islamist mob allegedly headed by Tahir Hussain, AAP Corporator shocked the nation. Ankit Sharma, a friendly, ambitious idealistic IB officer was brutally murdered with hundreds of stab wounds, torture marks and his intestines ripped apart. His remains were then thrown into the drain, mercilessly. While the country reeled under the shock of a government official being so brutally tortured during the Delhi riots, the Left media, treated him as just another name.
Tahir Hussain, the AAP corporator is reportedly missing after an FIR was filed against him for his involvement in the Delhi anti-Hindu riots and the brutal murder of Ankit Sharma. While the cacophony to arrest Tahir Hussain grows louder, AAP, headed by Arvind Kejriwal has sent mixed signals about its intent. After the party suspended Hussain from primary membership, Amanatullah Khan, AAP’s go-to leader for all things Muslim, has come out to vociferously defend Hussain.
The brutality, the political involvement and the fact that during the anti-Hindu riots, this was one of the two cases of extreme brutality that emerged should have ideally been the focal point of the media. The Left, which often postulates as the harbingers of human rights, justice and fair-play, flatly closed their eyes. The ones who didn’t proceed to term the anti-Hindu riots and the brutality heaped as self-defence, even though petrol bombs, acid pouches, stones, swords etc were found on the terrace of Tahir Hussain.
The Left media followed the decided narrative of the rest of the Islamist apologists to the very last word. Till the FIR was filed, several Left media outlets did not even bother covering the brutal murder of Ankit Sharma.
The first article that The Wire wrote on the murder of Ankit Sharma, was on the shoddy defence that was presented by the AAP corporator Tahir Hussain.
The Wire article
In the article, while dedicated a few sentences to the killing of Ankit Sharma, in the rest of the article, The Wire chose to talk about what the BJP leaders were tweeting. They even went on the assert that it was because of the statements made by Kapil Mishra that violence had erupted in the National Capital. In the rest of the article, they regurgitated several lies that were peddled by AAP leaders and functionaries to shield Tahir Hussain.
The second article that The Wire wrote on Ankit Sharma’s brutal death only mentioned the FIR being filed and repeated some of the lies by Hussain.
After the initial report of the body being found, Scroll stuck to reporting aspects where AAP was trying to defend itself and Tahir Hussain.
Articles on Scroll about Ankit Sharma
Apart from a token coverage of the body being found and an FIR being lodged, the Scroll’s coverage too focusses primarily on AAP’s defence.
While a Muslim mob lynched, knifed and tortured IB official Ankit Sharma to death, Caravan, that was counting castest of martyrs post-Pulwama decided to discover the depths of dishonest reportage.
They, of course, had only one article that mentioned Ankit Sharma. The headline of the article, unsurprisingly, was, “Driven by Islamophobia, Gokalpuri’s Hindus justify targeted arson of mosque, Muslim homes”.
Caravan article
In the article itself, Ankit Sharma was mentioned once. In the article, Caravan was not too convinced that Hindus were attacked at all and made it about “Upper caste Hindus” and “Brahmins” trying to convince people other them being attacked by Islamists. Their focus was some mosque, not the fact that a man had been stabbed by an Islamist mob comprising of thousands and was then dumped in the drain. In fact, they didn’t even seem too convinced about it.
Even while casting aspersions on the Hindu victims, the castes of the eyewitnesses were mentioned by Caravan simply to shield the Islamists who murdered and tortured Hindus.
When talking about the Media’s reportage of Ankit Sharma’s murder, one has to mention how Wall Street Journal seemingly fabricated a quote by Ankit Sharma’s brother. While Ankur has maintained that his brother was killed by a Muslim mob led by Tahir Hussain, Wall Street Journal managed to write in their report that Ankur had told them a mob screaming Jai Shree Ram had murdered the IB officer. Nothing could be far from the truth. When OpIndia spoke to Ankur, Ankur flat-out refused that he had ever made such a statement to the media.
While The Print did cover the allegations and statements made by Ankit Sharma’s family, a report that they published did have problematic statements that almost painted Tahir Hussain as an innocent man.
In one of their articles where they covered which channel discussed what on Prime Time, the adjectives used in the article painted an innocent picture of Hussain.
The Print article
While Tahir is accused of serious crimes, The Print led by Shekhar Gupta when it says that he responded in his ‘trembling voice’ tries to insinuate that he is an innocent man almost being bullied by the media.
The media has been shamelessly trying to shield the Islamists and paint Hindus as the aggressors even before the Delhi anti-Hindu riots broke out. With the Delhi riots, that cacophony has reached its zenith.
Only recently, left-wing portal NDTV – which has a history of absolving even Islamic terrorists from their crimes, on Thursday resorted to rescue Muslim mobs by watering down the crime by carefully editing the mosque out of the drone video.
In a report titled, ‘Drones Monitoring Situation In Violence-Hit Delhi Areas’, NDTV cropped images of the mosque to mislead the readers on the real nature of the anti-Hindu riots and tried to hide the images where it can be clearly seen that the local mosques had stored stones to attack the Hindus during the communal riots.
The Police have recovered four bodies from drains so far in North East Delhi in the aftermath of the anti-Hindu riots in the national capital. The first body recovered from the drains was Ankit Sharma, an Intelligence Bureau official, on Wednesday. Three more bodies were recovered on Thursday. The Police sought the help of local divers to fish out the bodies from the drains.
A senior police officer told the Indian Express (IE), “We have found four bodies from drains in Northeast district. This is near areas where the violence took place on Monday and Tuesday. We have a list of missing persons in the area and are looking to identify the people. Local police teams have been deployed to search houses and buildings. The drains will be searched to check for more bodies.”
The bodies were identified by Thursday evening. One of the bodies was identified as Musharraf. He was found in the Chand Bagh drain. “We went everywhere but did not find him until someone known to Musharraf (35) told us that he was thrown into the drain. When we could not find him in the drain, we visited GTB Hospital on Thursday morning and found his body there,” Farheen, the deceased’s sister told Times of India.
Another body has been identified as Mohsin. He was recovered from the Bhajanpura drain. “Around 5pm on Tuesday, he had to come to Bhajanpura for some work. A mob surrounded his car and asked him to remove his pants. He managed to call up one of his friends. But before anyone could do anything to save him, the men bashed him and threw him in a drain,” said Waris Ali Khan, Mohseen’s uncle.
A senior doctor at the GTB Hospital told IE, “The three bodies were brought around 10.30 am. The deceased must have faced horrible conditions before their bodies were dumped in the drain. All three bodies are half-decomposed. It seems like they died around two to three days ago. Prima facie, there are injuries on the head, face and chest. There might be some burn injuries as well. Everything will be confirmed after a post-mortem.”
The Delhi Police on Thursday released details of 37 people killed in the communal riots in the national capital. Among those who lost their lives, one was police personnel and another was an IB official, while the others are civilians. More than 200 people have been injured during the anti-Hindu CAA riots in New Delhi.
