AltNews founder Pratik Sinha reached out to OpIndia CEO Rahul Roushan for ‘comments’. Here is what he said

Professional fake news peddler and self-proclaimed fact-checker AltNews’ founder, Pratik Sinha reached out to OpIndia CEO Rahul Roushan for a ‘comment’. He said he was writing an article about the Twitter handle @padhalikha, and would like Rahul Roushan’s comments on the same.

Email sent by Pratik Sinha

Here is what OpIndia CEO Rahul Roushan said:

1) What is your current association with the account? Are you also part of the team that runs it?

You didn’t need to mention Vivek Agnihotri’s interview to point out my association with it. When a shameless stalker like you had targeted my family – and karma will teach you a lesson I hope, though I guess you don’t believe such ‘regressive’ concepts – I had admitted being associated in some way or the other with the account (and other entities like the parody website juntakareporter) then itself. Yes, I started this account but got busy with various things in my life after a few weeks of starting it, so I gave access to others and virtually about forgot it. For over a couple of years now, since leaving Nework18, I’ve been too busy with OpIndia and personal life to run parody accounts (at one point of time near 2011, I ran five). And the account has in a way lost its character as it’s no longer a parody account i.e. most posts don’t really mimic or caricature what self-styled liberals say; it’s now a vehicle to push politically incorrect ideas and messages.

2) Do you endorse the content that is posted by this account?

Since it’s run by a group of people I gave access to, it has mixed content based on their own beliefs and understanding of issues. I don’t keep track of who posts what, but who they are is a secret safe with me. I may or may not endorse individual tweets (the so-called Right Wing is far more diverse than the group-thinking left, and people often don’t agree with each other). I can’t be policing ideas when I don’t contribute. Further, I’ve become far more politically incorrect over time and I don’t really need a fake account with far less follower-count and reach than my own personal account to say things I want to. For example calling Islamophobia a bogus term even after New Zealand shootings.

Or the tweets where you desperately twisted my comments on Prashant Bhushan. Again, karma will teach you a lesson. If not karma, Allah will, for secularism’s sake.

And please don’t write to me ever again. Someone from your team may, but not you. I’m putting your email in spam list. I detest you, the individual, after what you did to my family, especially my not-even-two-months-old daughter then. You’re not allowed to intrude into my private space again.

And yes, if you have any ethics, you will publish my response as it is.

Editor’s note: We don’t think the delusions of grandeur and incessant stalking by a deranged man should be newsworthy. However, delusional people often have a tendency to twist words and not comprehend fully what is being said. This response has been published so such elements don’t have the opportunity to twist OpIndia CEO’s statement

‘It is fake, never issued or signed any such statement’, says filmmaker whose name appears as signatory of anti-Modi statement

On March 29, over 100 personalities involved with the film industry in India had issued a joint statement against the Modi government. In a statement titled Save Democracy issued on a website named Artist United India, 103 small time and independent filmmakers had appealed people to vote the Narendra Modi government out in the Lok Sabha elections.

But now one of the filmmakers in the list has denied issuing any such statement. Actress and producer Aarti Patel, who appears at the number 2 in the alphabetical list, has said that the list is fake. Responding to a tweet by the official Twitter handle of the Congress party about the statement, Aarti said that she has not given any statement, neither she signed any appeal.

Calling the statement fake, Aarti said she does not know where they got the names, and speculated that the names may have been collected from a film directory.

It is very crucial to note that when we first reported on the statement, it had 103 names, and Aarti Patel was not among them. Now the total number of signatories has risen to 124, which means 21 new names has been added to the list later, including the name of Aarti Patel.

It may be noted that the website that issued the statement only had names of persons in plain text, it does not contain any images of actual signatures, which is usually present when such public statements are issued as a proof of authenticity. The website has only one page, and it was created on 26th March, three days before issuing the statement.

It is interesting that while Aarti Patel’s name was included in an anti-Modi statement, she has been participating in the #VoteKar campaign launched by PM Modi, urging people to come out and vote during the Lok Sabha elections.

Aarti Patel is an award-winning Gujarati actress and film producer. She is known for the movies Bey Yaar (2014), Love Ni Bhavai (2017) and Mission Mummy (2016).

While Modi chose Varanasi, Rahul chooses Wayanad: Both made a civilisational point that should not be missed

2019 Lok Sabha Election is just weeks away and Congress’ Prince, Rahul Gandhi, has now decided to fight from Wayanad, Kerala, in addition to his ‘bastion’ Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. While the popular consensus seems to be that Rahul Gandhi was looking for a safe seat to contest from due to fear of losing to Union Minister and BJP’s firebrand contestant Smriti Irani, there is a deeper malaise to Rahul choosing Wayanad that cannot be ignored.

A sting operation conducted by Times Now had thrown up some startling admissions by a Congress MLA regarding why Rahul Gandhi would be choosing Wayanad as his safe seat. In the sting video, a senior Congress Party leader could be seen saying Congress President Rahul Gandhi is facing pressure in Amethi and has to find a safe seat, implying that he should contest from Wayanad as Hindus form a minority in Wayanad constituency which will ensure an easy victory for Rahul Gandhi.

“The total Christian-Muslim vote is about 50%. It comes to around 54% which makes easier for Rahul. And the thing is there are 8% Adivasis who are with us. Actually, Wayanad has been a Congress stronghold since 1957,” said the Congress leader in Times Now sting video. He also spoke about the Tribal votes that would go in Rahul Gandhi’s favour (and hence the jump from 50% to 54% in his previous statement).

From the sting video itself, it is evident that Congress has put its electoral eggs in the non-Hindu vote basket. Even in the past, Congress has ensured that their non-Hindu vote played a large part in their electoral fortunes. One recalls Sonia Gandhi meeting Shahi Imam in an appeal for votes and Rahul Gandhi reportedly declaring recently that Congress is a Muslim party. One also recalls the Hindu terror bogey that Congress desperately tried to raise with their eyes on the Communal Violence Bill that would deem every Muslim a victim of communal violence and Hindus, regardless of facts, the aggressor. Congress has also been eternally eager to not only capitalise on the Muslim and Christian vote bank (which are obviously non-Hindus) but also to paint Hindu factions as non-Hindus for their petty electoral goals. One recalls how they mercilessly divided Hindus by declaring Lingayats as a separate religion right before Karnataka went to polls. In a jiffy, they tore Hindus apart just to ensure that BJP’s Lingayat stronghold gets shattered.

During the Madhya Pradesh elections, a video had emerged of senior Congress leader and now CM of MP Kamal Nath allegedly advising Muslims to remain patient till the assembly elections and “we will deal with them later”. BJP spokespersons seemed to suggest that senior Congress leader Kamal Nath was talking about dealing with Hindus on behalf of Muslims.

The Janeu Dhari Shiv Bhakt avatar of Rahul Gandhi during the Gujarat elections was soon betrayed by the realisation that Congress if it wishes to survive, would need to bank on non-Hindu votes. It perhaps became even more apparent when the residents of Amethi expressed their resentment with the Congress party and the dynasty saying that they did not want to empower Muslims in the area.

In fact, Rahul Gandhi’s new economic advisor used to be a part of AISA which is rabidly anti-Hindu. Similarly, one recalls how their own leader had openly slaughtered a cow just to spite Hindus and gotten away with it after a brief but elaborate drama of Rahul Gandhi suspending him from the party. The sham suspension was a show to not completely antagonise Hindus while he was still with the party to ensure that the non-Hindu votes get further consolidated.

Congress, thus, made a civilisational choice in the process of ensuring their political survival. A non-Hindu majority India is far better for their electoral prospects that one that is dominated by Hindus. It is this civilisational choice that is reflected on Rahul Gandhi’s choice to contest from Wayanad as a “safe seat” because Congress truly believes that an area with a minority dominance will keep their family business running.

When one contrasts this with what Narendra Modi did, the civilisational question that the country is faced with becomes even more apparent. Prime Minister Modi won with a massive margin in Vadodara, Gujarat in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Vadodara vote share in 2014 General Elections

In 2009 as well, it was a BJP candidate who had won from Vadodara with a substantial margin. With such numbers, there was no need for Narendra Modi to look for a “safe seat” as is being claimed by the Congress party today. The Prime Minister was extremely comfortable in his prospects from Vadodara.

The question thus remains: Why did he choose Varanasi to contest from, when it was not even considered a safe seat for the now Prime Minister?

Varanasi is considered a city of temples. Kashi, a city that rises from the feet of Ganga has been a symbol of Hindu faith for millennia. The sacred most city among the Sapta Purie (7 sacred cities in Hinduism), Kashi is where a Hindu’s faith is rejuvenated and strengthened. While Hindus have fought for their rights in Ayodhya for centuries now, Kashi was always considered an unfinished chapter as far as reclaiming the Hindu faith is concerned. A city scourged by Muslim invaders, the Kashi Vishwanath temple’s ruins is a constant reminder of how much has been taken away from Hindus. A temple scourged by Aurangzeb.

The Gyanvapi Mosque – Erstwhile temple of Kashi Vishwanath. It was destroyed by Aurangzeb to build the mosque

Christian missionary Edwin Greaves (1909), of the London Missionary Society, described the site as follows:

At the back of the mosque and in continuation of it are some broken remains of what was probably the old Bishwanath Temple. It must have been a right noble building; there is nothing finer, in the way of architecture in the whole city than this scrap. A few pillars inside the mosque appear to be very old also.

— Edwin Greaves, Kashi the city illustrious, or Benares, 1909

The fundamental between Rahul Gandhi fighting from Wayanad apart from Amethi and Narendra Modi fighting both from Vadodara and Varanasi remains that Modi did not run the risk of losing, unlike Rahul Gandhi.

Amethi Lok Sabha elections 2009
Amethi Lok Sabha elections 2014

While Narendra Modi won comfortably from both from Vadodara and Varanasi, Smriti Irani managed to breach Rahul Gandhi’s bastion substantially.

However, both Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi made a civilisational statement with the seats they chose as a second contest and civilisational statement revolves around Hindu issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi choosing Varanasi as a second constituency signalled to Hindus that he stood firmly for them and by them. That the Hindu cause will not be compromised for petty electoral gains and that, restoration of Hindu pride and faith is a target he hopes to achieve. While he has reiterated several times that non-Hindus will always get their due, unlike Manmohan Singh, he never pandered to them by making statements like Muslims have the first right on resources.

As for Rahul Gandhi, by choosing Wayanad he too signalled his statement to Hindus, albeit, of a different nature. For Congress, a non-Hindu majority country is far more electorally viable than one where Hindus are in majority. Their words and actions have proved that time and again and Rahul Gandhi thinking of Wayanad as a “safe seat” is just another indication of the same malaise.

While thinking of the benefit of non-Hindus is no crime, Congress has repeatedly sacrificed the interests of Hindus in order to pander to the ‘Minorities’. With this, the civilisational conundrum has been now intertwined with the nation’s political choice. It is now, indeed up to the voters what statement they think their future would benefit from.

Allies no more? Communists cry foul over Rahul Gandhi’s candidacy from Kerala, says will work to defeat him

As Congress President Rahul Gandhi chooses to contest from Wayanad in Kerala after fearing a defeat at the hands of Union Minister Smriti Irani in Amethi, the Communists seems to have taken offence to Congress party’s decision to fight against them in Kerala in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

According to the reports, CPI(M) ex-General Secretary Prakash Karat cried foul over Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s candidacy from Wayanad, Kerala. Karat claimed that the Congress party’s decision indicated that the party’s priority has now become to fight the Left, contrary to Congress’ national commitment to fight BJP.

“To pick a candidate like Rahul Gandhi against Left means that Congress is going to target the Left in Kerala. This is something which we will strongly oppose & in this election we will work to ensure the defeat of Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad,” lamented Prakash Karat.

The Communists seems to be desperate to win some seats in Kerala but Congress President’s decision to contest from Kerala has unnerved them and are crying foul over it. Even controversial Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has expressed the same anguish as he said that the left will anyway fight Rahul Gandhi but added that he should have contested against the BJP.

“He is fighting in one of the 20 constituencies in Kerala and doesn’t need to be seen as any different. We’ll fight him. He should’ve contested from a constituency where BJP is contesting, it’s nothing but a fight against Left,” said Pinarayi Vijayan.

Interestingly, the contest in Wayanad is a lot more interesting as Congress had fielded a Muslim candidate MI Shanavas in 2014 Lok Sabha against the CPI(M) candidate. The Congress candidate had won with a very low margin of 21,000 votes. In 2019, the CPI(M) has fielded a Muslim candidate PP Suneer against Rahul Gandhi in a seat where Muslims and Christians make half of the population making it a tough battle for Rahul Gandhi.

Sensing a defeat in his bastion of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh against Union Minister Smriti Irani, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has decided to contest from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The speculations of Rahul Gandhi contesting from a minority dominated constituency was on the cards as some of the senior Congress leaders had hinted that Rahul Gandhi might find it hard to secure a victory in Hindu majority constituency like Amethi. The Congress president was reportedly looking for a safe seat for that reason. Hence, Congress Party is on a contingency plan to field Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, which has 29% Muslim votes and another 21% Christian votes.

Did PM Modi really do “nothing” for right wing ecosystem in his first term?

Read any foreign newspaper or watch any foreign news channel report on India. Back in the day, no report on India used to be complete without a compulsory mention of snake charmers and lepers. About Hindus, the impression was arguably worse. Very often the only thing that people abroad had heard about Hindus was the caste system and the poor treatment of so-called ‘untouchables’.

Of course, as a free democratic society, we should be open to all nations of the world discussing our social problems. But what used to happen is that India was deliberately reduced to a single caricature and this was often the *only* thing people had been taught about India. This is the equivalent of reducing America’s history purely to that of slavery or that of reducing Germany’s history only to Nazism.

This was unfair. But this unfairness persisted because it suited everyone involved. Everyone who had money, I mean. The British who were raw (and surprisingly still are raw) about losing their colony loved to show India as a savage place where they had brought civilization. The Nehru-Gandhi dynasts and the small circle of socialist nobles around them loved this too. They were hailed all over the world as the worthy heirs of the Empire, bravely continuing the civilizing mission of the British and smiling through the pain of shouldering the white man’s burden. For Christian missionaries like ‘Mother’ Teresa and also for a host of other NGOs, India’s bad public image helped raise funds big time.

This image has changed. By which I mean the details of this image. These days the new thing is to call India a land of lynchings. Talk of “Hindu vigilantes” is all over the world.

In the aftermath of the massacre in New Zealand, one of the most popular internet memes claiming global Muslim victimhood said that “Hindus are killing Muslims in Kashmir”.

How did such lies about India become so pervasive? Kashmir is a land where an entire population of Hindus was chased out of their homes and sent into exile. How did it get to the point that popular discourse moved so far away from the truth?

It starts with Indian liberal journalists who have been left out of their corrupt and luxurious lives in Lutyens’ Delhi ever since Modi came to power. They were able to call in favours from friends in the West to organize a global defamation campaign against India. Some of them actually went abroad on “fellowships” at big universities and think tanks, offered by their US-based academic contacts in liberal gibberish. Some secured a perch with a Western newspaper … waiting out Modi’s term in power, hoping to resume their lobbying activities after 2019.

All this resulted in a resounding chorus of global Hinduphobia that we now see. And the American East Coast liberal elite, as well as the British elite, were only too happy to let the impression gain ground.

This power that the left has is phenomenal and has to be taken seriously. Yes, India may be the place where Hindus took refuge after getting kicked out of the Islamic State of Pakistan. Yes, there may be reports everyday of Pakistani Hindu girl children being kidnapped and forcibly married off to Muslim men. But when you go overseas, be prepared to answer why Hindus treat Muslims in India so badly. In fact, even within India, liberals now openly demand a morally superior status for Muslims. Apparently, this is because Muslims gracefully “chose” to stay in India while we Hindus had no choice. This is how liberals actually see the discourse in India!

Untitled.png

Liberals want us to be grateful to Indian Muslims for “choosing” to stay in India (in return for extra special privileges) and not choosing to move to the exclusive Muslim homeland created by tearing India up and kicking us Hindus out. Liberals see us Hindus as human garbage, because we didn’t have the privilege of choosing countries based on a comparative study of Constitutions. We simply took refuge wherever we were allowed to breathe. So, we have no rights. We are the ones who are supposed to be grateful. Welcome to modern liberalism.

So far I have gone on and on about global liberal discourse and how it is unfair to us Hindus. The question at the top of this post is: What has Modi done about it?

There is a perception and a popular one among the RW, that “nothing” has been done to nurture RW ecosystem in the last five years. I freely admit that at times (not just one or two times, but many many times) I have expressed much the same emotions.

I understand where these emotions are coming from because I often express them myself. It comes from the feeling of helplessness that we get watching the international liberal complex malign India to extreme levels. Hindus killed Muslims in Kashmir? How much more fake could the historical narrative get?

What’s next? Will the global liberal embrace holocaust denial theories? Actually, they probably will. In America and Britain, anti-Semitism is growing exponentially among young liberals. Nazi style cartoons caricaturing Jews as conspirators with hooked noses secretly ruling the world are now making a big comeback. Jeremy Corbyn, the head of Britain’s Labour Party, likely the next PM of Britain, endorsed such caricatures himself. In the US, young liberal icons like Ilhan Omar openly talk of Israel “hypnotizing the world” and Jews having “dual loyalties”. Every single horrifying anti-Semitic trope from Nazi Germany is now a hit with global liberals. The “Women’s March” against Trump was led by one Rasmea Odeh, an actual convicted terrorist who bombed a supermarket and killed two Israeli boys in the 1970s.  No liberal saw anything wrong with that.

I keep getting carried away. Probably because there is so much emotion.

But if we think about the whole situation carefully, it’s not that Modi has done nothing. Let me give you concrete examples: English language TV news used to be a big hate magnet for RW Hindus. There can be no doubt that this has been solved. Because of the unique position that English occupies in India, English language news, despite its tiny viewership, plays a huge role in driving the narrative.

In the Hindi language arena, there has always been India TV which has been relatively sympathetic to the right. There’s Zee News, which is unabashedly right. And now there is Republic Bharat.

Of course, you could say that TV media is the tip of the iceberg. Where is the right-wing reach among newspapers? Deeper still, where is the reach in the intelligentsia, in textbooks that are taught to kids?

Of course there have been many missed opportunities, but you can’t deny the real progress that has been made.

The fact remains that you simply cannot compare the power of 58 years of ‘secular’ rule to 11 years of BJP rule. The first 48 of those 58 years were near uninterrupted. The right meanwhile has had two brushes with power: 6 years of Vajpayee and 5 years of Modi, with 10 years of Sonia between them. Once the UPA came to power, it was a simple matter for them to wipe out the few seedlings planted between 1998 and 2004.

The problem with the Indian right is that it has always been in ‘survival mode’, always thinking about the next election. This is not surprising, because survival had been their topmost concern for 5-6 decades. Sometimes literally.

It’s like the brain of a deer on the Serengeti. Always running from predators, too preoccupied with surviving the next half hour to plan ahead.

With sustained power comes the confidence to do big things. The Right Wing and its supporters need patience.

Scared of losing from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi decides to contest from Wayanad where ‘Hindus are a minority’

Sensing a defeat in his bastion of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh against Union Minister Smriti Irani, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has decided to contest from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Congress has finally arrived at a decision regarding Congress President Rahul Gandhi contesting two seats ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a press conference, senior Congress leader AK Antony said that Congress President Rahul Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad in Kerala apart from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi has chosen a constituency in Kerala, which accounts for more than half of minority votes, while Hindus are in minority. The speculations of him contesting from a minority constituency was on the cards as some of the senior Congress leaders had hinted that Rahul Gandhi might find it hard to secure a victory in Hindu majority constituency like Amethi. This, despite Rahul Gandhi indulging in ‘soft-Hindutva’ politics by visiting temples and claiming to ‘Janeudhari’ Brahmin.

Amethi, the Nehru-Gandhi Parivar bastion, was inherited by Congress President Rahul Gandhi, but his victory against Smriti Irani seemed to doubtful as she enjoys substantial goodwill in the constituency. Smriti Irani has received a lot of praise for her works in the Amethi, which prompted the BJP to field again her from the prestigious constituency against Gandhi scion Rahul Gandhi despite her loss in the 2014 elections. As Smriti Irani’s acceptability in Amethi has grown in the last few years, Congress party believes that it is extremely tough for Rahul Gandhi to retain his seat.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi was reportedly looking for a safe seat as Congress party believes that winning Amethi against Union Minister Smriti Irani will be a herculean task for Rahul Gandhi. Hence, Congress Party is on a contingency plan to field Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, which has 29% Muslim votes and another 21% Christian votes.

Prime Minister Modi pulls up the media, and rightly so

While everyone will have their own take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s no-holds-barred interview with Arnab Goswami in Republic Bharat on Friday, my two-penny on the subject is that never before an Indian Prime Minister has shamed the Media in the manner the ‘chowkidar’ has done.

Take the trouble of listening to the entire Modi interview (link). If I am an active media person, I would be drenched into a sweat. It’s a damning indictment of Media as the Prime Minister repeatedly brought forth how they provided the shield to forces who could say or do anything and get away with impunity.

It’s now clear that there is a lobby in India, both political and academic, which stands up for Pakistan and misses no opportunity to portray Imran Khan as “statesman-like” while reserving scorn and derision for everything which Modi utters or does. Taking a veiled hit at media, Modi said: “Kuch log hain jo inki suraksha kavach ban ke bethe hain, isse inn logon ko kuch bhi bolne ki choot mil gayi hai(There are some who are providing an armoured shield to these forces and which in turn has encouraged them to say and do whatever they want with impunity).”

Modi was greatly pained to see Media quietly letting go the disturbing incident in West Bengal in February when chief minister Mamata Banerjee descended on the residence of Kolkata commissioner Rajeev Kumar and allowed the sorry spectacle of investigating CBI officers being detained in the police station. Their families and residence quarters were also put under siege. It was a truly low moment for India’s democracy. Modi, the pain visible in his voice, said: “The way media has surrendered on West Bengal is very disturbing development in a democracy.”

During the course of his interview, Modi turned his attention to the fake promises which Congress makes before elections and the way media doesn’t expose it to the readers. “In 2004, they announced the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to farmers. The same was done in 2009. It was we (BJP/NDA) which made it a reality. Before the (recent) states elections, they promised cash payments to youth. It’s not started even in one state,” thundered Modi “Why you (media) don’t question their track record…Did you question?”

Lutyens Media is quick to seek a reaction from the Opposition whenever a charge of perpetuating dynasty is made against the Congress and their reply invariably is that BJP has its own dynasts. Modi was scathing on Media to let this pass without any introspection. “There is a difference. One (Congress) is controlling a party; others are winning or losing elections on the perception of voters. In essence, one is deciding on its own family who should head a party (generation after generation); while in other cases, the decision is in the hands of the voters. “Controlling a political party (in this manner) is not good for democracy,” Modi reasoned.

Modi said Media makes the “right question but to wrong address” when he is accused to be suit-boot ki sarkar and out only to help Ambanis and Adanis. “If 2.5 crores get electricity, is it helping Ambanis and Adanis? If 9 crores get toilet is it helping Ambani and Adani? If 1.25 crores get houses, is it helping Ambani and Adani? It’s a question you should ask them—it’s the right question but the address is wrong.”

Citing an example, Modi said if the prices of tomato go up, these (media persons) go to a housewife and ask her how’s she feeling the pinch. When the prices go down, Media train their mikes at farmers and ask about their pain on reduced tomato prices. “What do you really want,” Modi asked in his own logical manner.

In his typically humorous way, Modi urged media to ask questions to such forces without fear. “Don’t be afraid and ask boldly,” for these forces are not going to win the 2019 Election and come back to power.

RJD MLA Haji Subhan refers to terrorist Masood Azhar as ‘Sahab’ in the presence of Tejashwi Yadav

In a shocking incident, Bihar RJD MLA Haji Subhan referred dreaded Islamic terrorist and founder of Jaish-e-Mohammad, Masood Azhar as ‘Masood Sahab’ in the presence of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, reported ANI.

According to the reports, speaking at a rally in Kishanganj ahead of Lok Sabha elections, RJD MLA Haji Subhan targetted Prime Minister Modi by stating that PM Modi did not speak against China even after it vetoed a proposal to declare Masood Azhar ‘Sahab’ as an international terrorist. Shockingly, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was present on the stage and did not react to the statements of his party leader.

“International aatankwadi ghoshit karne ke liye Masood Azhar sahab ko China ne veto lagaya. Abhi tak koi bata sakte hain ki Pradhanmantri Modi ji China ke khilaaf bol rahe hain kya?” said Haji Subhan.

Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Masood Azhar seems to get more respect in India than Pakistan despite the fact that he inflicts terror on Indian soil. Congress President Rahul Gandhi had recently expressed his immense respect and affection for the terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad chief, Masood Azhar.

Moreover, Congress’ love for terrorists is nothing new. Earlier, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh had also once referred to Osama Bin Laden as ‘Osama jee’ which he later tried to twist it as a sarcastic comment.

Bihar, which has 40 parliamentary constituencies, goes to polls in seven phases starting from April 11 till the final phase scheduled on May 19. The BJP-JDU-LJP coalition is contesting under NDA coalition with BJP and JDU set to contest in 17 seats each, leaving six seats to Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party.

ISRO finally opens its doors for public viewing of rocket launches from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has finally opened its doors for people to watch the magnificent launches of its multi-storeyed rockets from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

The rocket launch PSLV-C45 carrying DRDO payload Emisat and 28 foreign satellite will be the first launch to be viewed by spectators at the space centre, which is approximately 100 Kms from Chennai. The move to throw open the high-security centre come in line with NASA, which too allows viewing its space activities to the public.

Launch viewing gallery (Source: TOI)

A sprawling viewing gallery which has been built like a stadium can accommodate about 5000 people at a time. The gallery has a direct view of the two launch pads. Though the gallery can house 5000 people as a precautionary measure only 1000 people are allowed to view the launch on Monday. The gallery is situated at a distance of about 2-3 Kms away from the launch pads.

ISRO chief will be inaugurating the gallery on Sunday. According to him, the opening of ISRO will take it to the people and create awareness among the people about Space activities undertaken by ISRO.

The stadium is a part of the theme park, which will also have a museum and life-size rocket models to help visitors get a better understanding and feel of rockets. ISRO chief believes such activities by ISRO will spark interest among youngsters towards India’s space sector and make them aware of ISRO’s advancements and accomplishments.

Mumbai ke Malik? Within days of joining Congress, Urmila Matondkar proclaims ‘Mumbai belongs to Congress’

Within days of the joining the Congress party, actor-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar seems to have incorporated the ‘culture of arrogance’ of Congress by proclaiming that Mumbai belonged to the Congress party.

A video has gone viral in which the yesteryear Bollywood entertainer Urmila Matondkar is heard seen declaring that Mumbai had always belonged to the Congress party and even in the future it will belong to the Congress party. Within days of joining Congress, Urmila Matondkar displayed the quintessential Congress arrogance by treating Mumbai as some sort of property that can only “belong” to Congress.

The kind of arrogance to proclaim something to be ‘jagir’ is not just limited to the Congress party. In 2017, Delhi Chief Minister had also proclaimed himself to be the “Delhi ka Malik” and had asserted by thumping his chest that he “owns Delhi” and he will “run Delhi”.

The Congress party and its leaders have a unique idea about India as they often claim that the country exists because of the party and attributes every achievement to the first family of Congress. Just a few days ago, senior Congress leader PC Chacko had hailed Gandhis as the first family of India and scorned PM Modi for being ‘negative’ towards them. Chacko had gone on to attribute everything that the country achieved in the last seventy years to the ‘planning and initiatives’ conceived by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Taking sycophancy to next level, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid had once said Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was a mother to all Indians. Khurshid speaking to the media had said, “Sonia Gandhi is not just Rahul Gandhi’s mother. She is also our mother, she is the mother of entire India.”

Urmila Matondkar, a retired entertainer from Bollywood, joined Congress a few days ago and is all set to contest from the Mumbai North constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
