Speaking about the Katihar firing incident, the Bihar police said that the death did not happen due to police firing, but by bullets shot by an unidentified person
The accused identified as Mohammed Shaqib Ahmed is the resident of Masjid Chowk and had posted a derogatory comment on an Instagram post through his Instagram handle itts_shaqib.

However, the tribal woman refused to give the berries as a commission. As the woman was adamant about not giving the ‘commission’, an agitated constable threw the basket full of berries on the road and then trampled them.
The enraged DSP said that the police was forced to impose lathi-charge as the protesting students created ruckus and jammed the moving traffic in the capital city of the state. "We will lathi charge again if they become uncontrollable," he could be heard saying.
The Police filed an FIR based on the complaint of one of the women who confirmed that he had posed as a Brahmin and had said that he was a media person. The police also recovered two identity cards from him, one in the name of Nishant Raj and other one as Nishant Raza.
The video of the incident went viral over the internet in which the violent Muslim mob could be seen brutally beating the Hindu boy for roaming around with a Muslim girl. "Madarch*d. Bhagwa Love Trap karega. Muslim ladki ko phasayega," the mob could be heard abusing and accusing the Hindu man.
