Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena wrote to CM Arvind Kejriwal and accused it of "stalling the budget for no apparent reason"

Taking a jibe at the Congress-led UPA govt, the Finance Minister said that the Modi government is working with an approach to development that is "all round, all-pervasive and all-inclusive".

The comparisons of numbers from the interim budget of 2014 and the current interim budget show a massive difference between the two budgets, both after 10 years of rules of UPA and NDA govts.

The Delhi LG office said that VK Saxena had approved the Annual Financial Statement 2023-2024 with certain observations on March 9, and sent the file to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. 

Interestingly, CM Gehlot had shared multiple photos of himself with the budget document and the official briefcase before entering the assembly. It is a mystery how he or anyone around him did not realise that the budget documents were from last year.

This was the last full budget of this government before the general elections in 2024 but even then, the government resisted the temptation to go for populist measures.
