Police in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar registered a case against pastor Baggu Singh and his son for forced conversions through alleged miracle cures. Villagers protested outside the police station, demanding the pastor’s arrest within 48 hours.
Police detained four people, including Laxmi Yadav, at the scene and began questioning them. An FIR has been registered at the Sahajanwan police station against Laxmi Yadav and five unidentified individuals under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act.
The pastor claimd that his magical water, which has the blessings of Jesus Christ, can completely cure any person of any disease, in a period of 3 months.
The culprits had been brainwashing poor villagers by praising Jesus and abusing Hindu deities. They even lured the villagers by offering money for converting to Christianity.
According to the FIR, which was accessed by OpIndia, for the past year, some teachers have been preaching Christianity in the school and luring students and their parents to convert to Christianity by offering them jobs and other opportunities.
A case of conversion has come to light in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. An attempt was being made to change the religion of children outside Madhav Rao Sapre school. Three women have been arrested in this case. The women were trying to deceive the children outside the school. Allegedly, the three women were asking children to go to church and convert to Christianity after a holiday outside the school.
