Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain clarified that the plea for additional survey at Gyanvapi, which was rejected by court, was not filed by a different party

The Court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Fast Track Court, Varanasi on Friday dismissed the Hindu side's plea for an additional survey by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) at the Gyanvapi complex.

"Unfortunately, people refer to Gyanvapi as a mosque, but it is in fact, Vishwanath," UP CM Yogi Adityanath said at an event in Gorakhpur.

The development comes three weeks after an FIR was filed against an accused named Adnan Khan for allegedly threatening additional sessions judge Diwakar.  

In a letter to the SSP, the judge stated last week that he has been receiving malicious calls from international numbers, "which is deeply concerning."
