Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has informed parliament that two Sri Lankan Navy vessels and an aircraft were deployed, successfully rescuing 30 injured crew members. The IRIS Dena had a crew of 180 members.

International Atomic Energy Agency head Rafael Grossi has raised fresh alarms over Iran's nuclear program.

The Fujairah Oil Industry Zone is situated on the eastern coast of the UAE along the Arabian Sea. It plays a key role in global energy trade because it allows oil tankers to operate without passing directly through the Strait of Hormuz. This is a major shipping route for the export of energy products from the Middle East.
