According to media reports, the 21-year-old NEET aspirant hanged herself to death in her hostel room on Wednesday night. She had spoken to her father over the phone in the night before taking the extreme step.

Kota Collector OP Bunkar noted the rising number of suicide cases in the district and stated that the students committed suicide as they did not score good marks in the test conducted on Sunday. He pressed on the need for the students to be stress-free and said that no tests would be organized by the coaching centers for the next two months.
The accused teacher tried to rape the minor girl who had come to take tuition from him in February 2022. He later murdered the girl after she refused to cooperate. He strangled her to death and flew away from the spot.
Meanwhile, DSP KS Rathore said that the NEET aspirant has denied attempting suicide or being depressed, however, he added that an investigation has been initiated into the matter.
Kota district administration issued an order requiring all hostels and paying guest (PG) accommodations to install spring-loaded fans in every room "to provide students mental support and security".
This is unfortunately fourth such case of suspected suicide in a span of just 15 days. This year, as many as 22 coaching students have reportedly committed suicide in Kota.
