Nashik District Court on Thursday sentenced Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate and his brother Sunil Kotake to two years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 each in a forgery case.
The accused persons have been booked by the police under sections 109, 118(1), 115(2), 352, 351(3), 126(2), 189(2), 191(2), 191(3) and 190 of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita, 2024 and section 3(2)(va) of the SC/ST Act. No arrests in the case have yet been made.
However, on 25th August, the family of the girl checked the CCTV footage close to Anjum Sayyed's house. In the CCTV footage, the family saw that Anjum and Sahil took the girl on their scooter to the hospital. However, they claimed that they had found the girl unconscious on the road near the bridge, after which they took her to the hospital. On suspicion, the girl's parents have also booked the two.
