Vande Bharat Express

A new livery for the Vande Bharat Express train has been revealed by the Railways, with a theme of Saffron and Grey colours

According to the Railways officials, the outer glass of C5 coach seat numbers 43, 44 and EC-1 coach toilets were damaged due to stone pelting on the Vande Bharat Express.

The stone pelting on Vande Bharat transpired between 3.30 and 4 PM on Saturday, soon after the train left Davangere.

The new trains are: Rani Kamalapati (Bhopal)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express; Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express; Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express; Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express; and Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express.

Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "There is a large section of the political establishment that doesn't like Vande Bharat Express. Because they never upgraded when the world was going at a rapid pace far ahead."

Sreekandan had reportedly issued a warning that the Congress would flag down the train if a halt at Shoranur was not announced to the public before the train's inauguration.

Ever since its first commercial run on 17 February 2019, the Vande Bharat Express, or Train 18, has been attacked multiple times across the country.

Vande Bharat Express train service was flagged off, between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam, by PM Narendra Modi on January 15 this year.

The escort party of Vande Bharat Express on Saturday informed local authorities that the passengers traveling in Coach No. C-6 had reported that stones were pelted at the train.
