Accused no 1 Rahul Gandhi is shielding accused no 2 Robert Vadra: BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra

Patra came down heavily on Rahul Gandhi for using derogatory language for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra held a press conference today in the BJP Head Office in Delhi asking Congress President Rahul Gandhi to answer the questions related to charges of money laundering and disproportionate assets against his brother-in-law Robert Vadra.

Patra came down heavily on Rahul Gandhi for using derogatory language for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the use of such language only exposes the immaturity and cheap mentality of Rahul Gandhi.

Tu idhar udhar ki baat na kar, ye bata Jija ne karwa kaise loota“, said Patra questioning Gandhi on the cases on his brother-in-law Robert Vadra.

Patra termed Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra as accused no. 1 and accused no.2 respectively. He alleged that accused no. 1 who is out on bail is facing the charge of misappropriation of Rs 5000 crore in the National Herald case and tax evasion of Rs 600 crore. He further said that the accused no. 1 shielded accused no. 2.

In this new India law is the same for everyone including the Gandhi family, Patra said. The BJP Spokesperson attacked Rahul Gandhi for saying that if Congress comes to power every single member of the RSS will be driven out. He said that such a statement is no surprise coming from Gandhi as Congress along with West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee is more concerned about the Rohingyas and the Bangladeshi refugees than the people of this country.

Patra called Rahul Gandhi’s statement of revoking the Triple Talaq Bill on coming to power as the “Height of Appeasement” and a regressive thought. Patra said that on one hand Gandhi accuses Modiji of insulting institutions but on the other hand he claims to revoke the Triple Talaq Bill which was brought by the government in consonance with the Supreme court judgement which struck down the Triple Talaq practice. Patra termed this as medieval thinking on the part of Rahul Gandhi.

Launching a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, Patra said that Gandhi sounded as if he was under “Guroor ka Nasha” during his speech today. Patra read out nine emails and questioned Rahul Gandhi about the details in them. As told by Patra, Emails were exchanged in the year 2010 between Sumit Chaddha (relative of arms dealer Sumit Bhandari who lives in London) and Robert Vadra and an unidentified person having the email id [email protected] The name of Manoj Arora, Vadra’s close aid, was also mentioned in one of the emails. In two of the mails, references were also made to some Mr M and Mr B.

Patra asked Rahul Gandhi to reveal the identities of the persons referred to as Mr M, Mr B and the person having the email id [email protected]
