Amit Shah asks opposition to clarify their stand on building Ram temple in Ayodhya

Shah urged the party workers to rise above the caste lines and vote for national security in the upcoming elections.

Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah while addressing the Booth Adhyaksh Sammelan in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, reminded the booth workers the importance of  2019 general elections saying that the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are yet to be won.

He heaped parises on the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for improving the law and order situation in UP. He said that earlier parents did not allow their daughters to study after school fearing for their safety but now Yogi government has ensured the safety of women. Referring to Kairana exodus Shah said that the western UP was infamous for the exodus of people from Kairana but after Yogi government came to power the people who caused the exodus had to run away. Kairana region in Uttar Pradesh had witnessed a mass exodus of Hindu families in the year 2016 which was acknowledged by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Remembering the history of UP Shah said that this is a land of revolution as the revolution of 1857 was started in Meerut by Mangal Pandey. He said that this is the land of former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh who was the first farmer Prime Minister of India. Shah said that after the Modi government announced significant benefits for farmers in the budget yesterday, former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh’s soul must have felt at peace.

Taking a jibe at the Congress President Rahul Gandhi Shah said that Rahul Gandhi’s face turned pale in Parliament as the Finance Minister Piyush Goyal started presenting the budget. Shah lauded the Modi government for allotting the largest budget for defence since independence and for approving the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme. He mocked the Congress for giving a different kind of OROP to the country which meant Only Rahul Only Priyanka.

Speaking on the Ram Temple issue Shah assured the workers that the party is committed to building a Ram Temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya at the earliest. He blamed the Congress party for delaying the proceeding of the Ram Mandir case in the Supreme Court. Shah urged Congress President Rahul Gandhi to clarify before the elections whether he wants Ram Mandir to be built in Ayodhya or not. He even urged Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati to also make their stand clear on the issue.

Shah told the booth workers to ask the people to vote for national security and rise above caste lines. He said that the when Modi government comes to power after 2019 elections, it will ensure that every illegal immigrant will be returned.
