In recent months, Congress social media handle has been source of much amusement. Whether it was a #KnowYourLegacy question backfiring, or getting trolled for the quiz which came back to haunt them about the horrors from the time of Congress misrule, Congress social media team has been setting the bars lower with each passing day.
Today, they posted #ThisDayThatYear, post which talked about ‘inauguration of Vidyasagar Setu in West Bengal. They talked about how Indira Gandhi had inaugurated the same, which handles over 85,000 vehicles a day.
There was a small mistake, though. Vidyasagar Setu was inaugurated in 1992, about 8 years after Indira Gandhi was assassinated. Unless Rajiv Gandhi, who has been credited to bringing all technological advancement to India, had also invented time machine, this is not quite possible.
After being pointed out by about the mistake, Congress deleted the tweet, but not before the screenshot was taken.

They even got a lesson in history.

They later posted a corrected tweet that while Gandhi had laid foundation in 1972, the bridge was finally inaugurated by then Prime Minister P. V. Narsimha Rao in 1992.

Earlier, too, they had goofed up in dates while paying tributes on death anniversary. They had written the date of death (27th September, 1833) before date of birth (22nd May, 1772) which appears as if he was born on 27th September, 1833 and passed away on 22nd May, 1772 which is just not possible.
Seems like the new social media head of Congress, Divya Spandana, is sticking her neck out in doing something new by setting higher bars for self goals.
