‘Islam under threat’, ‘riots the only way’, ‘will kill Hindus’: Tahir Hussain and Umar Khalid confessions reveal sinister agenda

A chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police in connection with the anti-Hindu riots in Delhi mentions the confession made by former AAP Councilor Tahir Hussain. The confessions reveal the sinister agenda behind the conspiracy hatched by the Islamist along with his comrades Khalid Saifi and JNU ‘scholar’ Umar Khalid.

As per the chargesheet, reported by IndiaTV, Tahir Hussain mentions that he is part of the ‘United Against Hate’ group and through it, he is connected to Khalid Saifi and Umar Khalid. As per the confession, Saifi told him that they will orchestrate “huge riots” which will destabilize the government and therefore, he should keep men ready at his locality.

On the 8th of January, Saifi introduced him to Umar Khalid at Shaheen Bagh. “Umar said until we orchestrate a Badha Dhamaka (huge explosion), the central government will not be destabilized. We remained silent over 370 (the abrogation of Article 370) and Ram Mandir but we will ensure that the CAA is repealed. The government will not bend its knee unless we do a Badha Dhamaka.”

“For this, no matter how many fires must be lit across the country, the government suffers a loss of face abroad, how many houses must be burnt, how many Hindus must be killed, we will do it,” the confession continued.

Umar Khalid in his confession said that on the 16th-17th of February, they came to the conclusion that riots are the only way to build pressure on the government and to ensure the repeal of CAA. “For this I told people to hoard stones, petrol, acid, and weapons to be used when necessary. Then I attended demonstrations at 23-24 places in Delhi, I went to Amravati in Maharashtra as well where I said during US President Donald Trump’s official visit on 24th February, we will take to the streets and create pressure on the government by demonstrating our strength,” his confession says.

It continued, “As per this plan, during Trump’s visit, protests were organised at numerous places and riots were started. Before long, the riots spread to numerous places in North-East Delhi. That is how we orchestrated riots in Delhi.”

Tahir Hussain also says that he was told by Umar Khalid to not worry about money. ‘Friends in Delhi’ and the PFI were arranging the money. “You just prepare for the riots, gather men for the riots, buy materials for the riots, don’t worry about the money. Khalid will ensure that you receive the money,” Umar Khalid told Tahir Hussain as per the latter’s confession.

Tahir Hussain also talked about the money he had given to one Gulfaam. Gulfaam used the money to buy cartridges for guns and other materials. Khalid Saifi also told Tahir Hussain that Umar Khalid has informed that riots will be started ‘this month’ itself when Trump arrived for a visit after confirming that the former AAP Councilor was ready in his preparation.

Khalid Saifi also said that Umar Khalid told him that Islam was under threat under the current ruling dispensation. Saifi’s confession reveals that they were fully aware that blocking roads will lead to arguments which could then be used to fuel riots. He said that the roads were blocked during Trump’s visit and when people suffered problems as a consequence, the fights started.

On the 24th, when he spoke to Tahir Hussain, Saifi was informed that according to plan, rioting had started and Hindu houses had been set on fire. All of this was mentioned in the chargesheet filed by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police at the Karkardooma Court and as per IndiaTV, the Court has taken cognizance of it.

Tahir Hussain, Umar Khalid and Khalid Saifi are accused of involvement in the Delhi Riots and they are currently in prison awaiting their trial. Numerous lives were lost in the rioting that ensued in the month of February in 2020.

Three men arrested after a video of locals lynching a rare Gangetic Dolphin in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh goes viral

Social media websites are awash with a particularly barbaric video of a rare Gangetic Dolphin being mercilessly hacked to death by the locals in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh. The police took cognisance of the cruelness meted out to the aquatic animal and arrested 3 men who were seen in the video flogging the dolphin.

The three men were booked by the police on December 31 after they were seen in the video savagely attacking the dolphin in the waters till it bled to death. The group of men surrounded the dolphin that had gotten trapped in the shallow waters of the Sharda Sahayak canal in Pratapgarh and started raining lathis, wooden logs and axes at the poor speechless animal.

The Gangetic dolphins are one of the rare aquatic species that are on the verge of extinction due to rampant hunting incidents.

Accused claim they mistook the dolphin for a poisonous fish

Apparently, the locals mistook the dolphin for a ‘deadly fish’ and started attacking it. The incident took place on the last day of the calendar year 2020. Soon after the hapless animal was hacked to death, the local police and forest officials had reached the spot and had sent the body for postmortem.

“In the morning of the New Year, local people saw the dolphin moving in the water. Some said it was a ‘deadly and poisonous fish’ while others said it could kill people who went near it. A huge crowd collected at the spot and people decided that it would be dangerous to let it go. The crowds started beating the dolphin and some even hit with an axe,” the source quoted by IANS said.

However, the matter was kept under tight wraps until the video went viral on Wednesday when someone posted the clip of the dolphin being to death by the locals. The forest officials, however, evaded making comments on the issue, stating that it is yet to be verified if it was actually a dolphin.

Three men want to throw a feast to the entire village: Jagran report

Though the accused claimed that they attacked the aquatic animal thinking it to be a poisonous fish, a report published in Jagran states that the three men killed the dolphin intending to give a feast to the entire village. The three men arrested were identified as Rahul, Anuj and Rahul.

Did CNN apply racist criteria to decide which countries are ‘world leaders’ following the Capitol Hill violence?

Let me ask you this. The leaders of which countries would you consider to be “world leaders”? Immediately, America and China come to mind. Considering its military power, Russia has to be in the list somewhere. Also India, Japan and a sprinkling of the major European powers, like Germany, France or the UK. Maybe even Canada or Australia.

Sounds reasonable? Not if you ask the people at CNN.

Following yesterday’s violence at the US Capitol building, CNN did a run down of world leaders who had condemned the incident and called for a peaceful transition of power.

CNN article listing 'world leaders' who condemned Capitol Hill violence
CNN article listing ‘world leaders’ who condemned Capitol Hill violence

CNN made a fairly comprehensive list, compiling reactions from the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia and Israel.

Guess who they left out? India!

Who else was in CNN’s list? The minor European powers, such as Austria, Netherlands, Norway and Poland. Even tiny New Zealand. Even Iceland! And, would you believe it, even Scotland. Someone tell CNN that Scotland is not even an independent country!

Now, with due respect to all those countries, it’s hard to see how the leader of the Netherlands or Iceland could be considered a world leader if the Prime Minister of India is not. I don’t think the good people of Iceland would disagree.

It’s impossible not to notice this. It looks like CNN drew a line yesterday. They acknowledged only the reactions from white majority democracies. They seemed too hurt to acknowledge that non-white democracies could express sympathy for the United States. And that’s hardcore racism, 1950s style.

This is the true face of global wokeness. They talk a great game. But on the inside, they still have a 1950s style racist view of the world.

Okay, so what are the chances that this was just a mistake? First of all, forgetting India while listing world leaders? Seriously? Second, the CNN types are obsessed with issues of race, class and gender. These are people who wake up in the middle of the night, sweating all over, worried that they might have used the wrong pronoun for somebody. How could they not notice that they left out India?

And not just India, mind you. All other democracies, which have non-white majorities, have been left out. Coincidence? CNN also had Ecuador and Colombia on their list. Both are over 80% white (or descendants of Spanish whites mixed with native populations).

Not just white, but Christian. All the countries mentioned by CNN also just happened to be overwhelmingly Christian (with the exception of Israel). So which was it, CNN? Which criteria did you folks settle on: race or religion? So woke…

Let me try to see if there are any other excuses for CNN here. Perhaps India was not included because the liberals at CNN just don’t like PM Modi? First, of all, grown ups should be able to distinguish between their views about India and their views about PM Modi. But, we are talking about woke liberals here; so that ship sailed a long time ago. And it wouldn’t explain anything anyway. The liberals at CNN despise the right wing governments of UK, Israel and Poland, but they didn’t think twice about including them.

So it really is about race. Or religion. You pick.

Maybe it was just ego? India may be a big power, but we are still a very poor country. Perhaps it just hurt the ego of CNN to acknowledge that a country so poor as India would be teaching lessons to America?

Okay, so the liberal elite values people based either on race, religion or money. So woke…

But then, what about Japan? They’re rich and they are a democracy. Japan also condemned the violence at the US Capitol. But CNN didn’t mention Japan anywhere. So it is about race. No doubt left now.

When this kind of question is raised, there is one distressing reaction that comes from Indians themselves. Why should we care about them “validating” us? So what if CNN didn’t mention India? Who cares?

This reaction is understandable, but it really belongs to the past. This is not the 1990s that we were insecure and would look hopefully at every Western institution begging to be taken seriously. Today, we already know what we are worth. Pointing out someone’s racism is not asking for validation. It is telling them, calmly and firmly, that they are 50 years behind the curve. At best, it is like telling someone that their fly is open. They better zip up before anyone else notices.

America has already embarrassed itself enough with a banana republic like show and the violence on Capitol Hill. The last thing Americans need is CNN embarrassing them further with 1950s style racism.

Why ‘liberals’ want Vincent Xavier’s head on a pike: They thought he was Hindu and because he held a Tiranga

2021 is off with a bang. The seat of US Government was stormed by Trump supporters and ‘Hindu supremacists’ have started carrying names such as Vincent Xavier. Alright, the second part was a joke. But it is true that events that happened at Capitol Hill have, amusingly enough, sparked a controversy in India as well.

At the heart of it is Vincent Xavier. A man was spotted waving the Indian Flag during the storming of Capitol Hill. It irked people but no one really thought anything of it as the person waving it did not appear to be engaging in any violence. The person was noise, the main attraction was clearly what was happening up front.

All of that changed when ’eminent intellectuals’ of the liberal brigade decided that it was a good opportunity to ruin the life of a Hindu man. They likely made some calculations in their head and decided that the odds were overwhelming that the person waving the Indian Flag in USA was a Hindu and a supporter of Prime Minister Modi.

Thus, the liberal brigade went full steam ahead. Islamist-ally of liberals, Rana Ayyub, said that we should not be surprised ‘Hindu supremacists’ showed up with ‘White supremacists’. Zubair of AltNews, too, said ‘Bhakts’ were with Donald Trump. There were dozens and dozens of others who made similar comments.

Unfortunately for them, perhaps due to a glitch in the matrix, the person carrying the Indian Flag was neither a ‘Hindu Supremacist’ nor a supporter of Narendra Modi. He was Vincent Xavier and he is a huge fan of senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. Welp. That was not in the plan, was it?

Anyway, liberals have gone so far down the route already that they cannot back away from demanding harsh punishment for Xavier without looking like absolute morons. It was a full toss that the BJP was more than willing to hit for a six. Thus we see Kapil Mishra and Varun Gandhi latch on to it and escalate matters while Shashi Tharoor is flailing to defend himself.

Now, Vincent Xavier is being dragged through the mud in the media and is forced to answer a million questions because some liberal clowns decided they wanted to ruin the life of a Hindu man. It is pertinent to mention here that there is no evidence as of yet that he participated in any illegal activity at the gathering.

Sure, it was utter stupidity to carry an Indian flag to the gathering and he shouldn’t have. But stupidity is not a good enough reason to destroy someone’s life. Those on the non-Left thus far have shown little inclination to ruin his life but it can be safely said that it will be liberals who will attempt to do so in order to prove their liberal credentials.

They will consider it unfortunate that Vincent Xavier is not a Hindu and not a ‘Modi Bhakt’ but they will seek to punish him nonetheless because letting him off will hurt their egos. And that cannot be tolerated. It is a separate matter altogether whether he deserves to have his life ruined.

The media, too, is inviting him for interviews and shaming him for his conduct. In a sane world, no one would have bothered. And his actions would have been ignored as those of an idiot. But liberals have invested far too much emotionally for them to be able to get past this without inflicting some sort of punishment.

Here we learn a great deal about the liberal mentality. According to them, only a ‘Hindu supremacist’ would carry the Indian flag at a gathering of Trump supporters and only a ‘Modi Bhakt’ could be a supporter of Donald Trump. In the bubble they live in, all other possibilities are rejected. In their bubble, the world is black and white. It is with this worldview that they proceeded to proclaim that Vincent Xavier was a ‘Hindu Supremacist’.

It can be safely said that had they known his real identity from the beginning, they wouldn’t have made an effort to drag him through the mud. They made a big deal out of it precisely because they believed he was a Hindu and perceived it as a good opportunity to destroy a Hindu’s life and ruin his reputation.

In all of this, the hatred that liberals harbour towards Hindus becomes abundantly clear. Anytime they see anything negative, their first instinct tells them that a Hindu is responsible for it. Even now, their anger towards Xavier now primarily stems from the fact that he busted their narrative in a stellar fashion. Perhaps this incident will finally teach them that reality is far more complicated than how they perceive it to be from their bubble. But that, again, is extremely unlikely.

It is very likely that Vincent Xavier will be harassed and humiliated by his colleagues in the United States. While we are not aware of his professional details, one would assume that he works in a liberal dominated industry. Before long, he will likely find himself out of the job. Desi liberals were fully aware of all of this. That is why they did it. Unfortunately for them, it’s not a Hindu man who will bear the consequences.

Vincent Xavier, a fan of Shashi Tharoor who waved Indian flag at Capitol Hill speaks up, busts the liberal propaganda

A day after an Indian flag was seen at the protests at the Capitol Hill in the Washington DC in the sea of American and Trump support flags, the left-liberals and its media ecosystem had pounced on Hindus to allege that it was one of those ‘Hindu supremacists’ who had waved the tricolour in the US bringing ‘shame’ to the country.

However, it was later revealed that it was not a Hindu supremacist or a ‘Bhakt’ who waved the Indian flag at a political protest outside Capitol Hill in Washington DC on Wednesday, but an engineer named Vincent Xavier from Kerala, a fan and follower of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. We had reported in detail regarding the presence of Vincent Xavier in the Capitol Hill protests, where he had unfurled the tricolour in support of outgoing US President Donald Trump.

Vincent Xavier, the man in question, on Friday, busted the ‘liberal-secular’ propaganda by confirming that he was the one who participated in the protest and waved the Indian tricolour.

Speaking to CNN-News18, the 54-year-old Francis Xavier said he was part of the peaceful protests against the alleged election fraud during the US Presidential elections leading to the defeat of incumbent President Donald Trump. He said that they have been protesting against the rigged elections since Trump’s defeat in November and Wednesday’s protests were just another protest.

Xavier said that he was not part of the violence that followed when the mob breached the Capitol Hill, leading to the deaths of five persons. He claimed he was there only for the peaceful march, where he unfurled the Indian flag alongside many Americans who too waved the US flag in support of Donald Trump.

“I regret the violence but I don’t regret me being there. It was not a riot, it was a peaceful protest,” said Vincent Xavier, a Republican Party supporter.

Vincent Xavier, when asked about the reason for holding the Indian flag during the protests, further said that he carried the tricolour to show that the Trump supporters were not racists, and the protest rally was not a racist movement.

“I would not be able to hold an Indian flag and walk around if it was a racist movement,” Xavier said.

He said there were about 10 Indians in the group of Trump loyalists, and five of them were from Kerala. Vincent Xavier, according to his Facebook profile, hails from the Kochi, Kerala. He did his graduation in Trissur and move to the United States to settle in Washington DC. Apparently, Xavier did his higher studies from University of Nevada, Reno.

“Whenever I have been at a Trump rally, I’ve seen people of Vietnamese, Korean, even Pakistani origin, carrying their flags. This is also to show that such rallies are not a racist movement,” he added.

‘The democratic party brought in professionals to climb the wall’, says Xavier

Xavier, had earlier social media posts about meeting and speaking to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, said he has spent 25 years in India before moving to the US. Xavier also said that out of the million people gathered outside the Congress to protest, only “about 10-15 daring people, scaled the walls like ‘Spider-Man’ and created violence. Eventually, the violence created by about 50 people destroyed the purpose of our rally, he added.

Vincent Xavier also alleged that radical left-wing group Antifa was among those who stormed the US Capitol by disguising as Trump supporters. “They appear to be trained, professional thugs. They were either from our side or from the other side who tried to infiltrate our side,” Vincent Xavier pointed out in the interview.

“There isn’t clarity about their identity. However, if you see the way they climbed the walls, etc. it appears that they were trained very well. Only people in the military can do it. They appear to be Antifa, BLM (Black Lives Matter) thugs who support the Democratic Party who infiltrated into our side. They were the ones who opened the door, it was not the police…” he claimed.

Indian ‘liberals’ try to push anti-Hindu propaganda, claim ‘Hindu supremacists’ unfurled flags at Capitol Hill protests

Earlier, the left-liberals, Islamists, the far-left propagandists and the Congress party leaders had taken to social media to blame the ‘Hindus’ for ‘shaming’ the country by waving the Indian flag, which according to them was interference in the US internal affairs.

Shashi Tharoor, Congress’ English literature expert and so-called ‘intellectual’ was one of the first politicians to fall for the blind the propaganda and claimed that there were some Indians with the same mentality as that ‘Trumpist’ mob, who enjoyed using the flag as a ‘weapon’ rather than a badge of pride. Islamist troll Rana Ayyub, without knowing the identity of the flag holder, declared that he is a ‘Hindu supremacist’. Some self-proclaimed ‘fact-checkers’ decided that any person waving the Indian tricolour must have been a ‘Bhakt’.

France has been supportive of India at UNSC against China’s procedural games: Advisor to French President

Emmanuel Bonne, the diplomatic advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron, said during his visit to India that France had been supporting India at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) against China’s tactics of playing “procedural games“. Bonne, who had come to India for the annual strategic dialogue between the two countries, said on Thursday, “When China breaks the rules, we have to be very robust and very clear and this is the sense of our naval presence in the Indian Ocean”.

France supported India on Kashmir issue: Bonne

“On direct threats to India, we have always been very clear. Whether it be on Kashmir, we have been very supportive of India in the Security Council, we have not let the Chinese play any kind of procedural games. When it comes to the Himalayas just check our statements, we are perfectly clear. What we say publicly, we say to the Chinese also privately, there is no ambiguity”, he added.

Speaking on “France and India: Partners for a Stable and Prosperous Indo-Pacific” at an event organised by the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) said that France is close to the QUAD, comprising of the US, Japan, Australia and India” and that the country may hold some naval exercised with these countries in future. Regarding the French Navy’s patrols in the Taiwan Strait, Bonne said that it was not done as a provocation but to assert the necessity to follow the international law. French Navy is the only European Navy that patrols in the Taiwan Strait.

France’s relations with Pakistan at historic low: Bonne

Bonne slammed Pakistan on the issue of terrorism and mentioned that France’s relations with Pakistan were at a ‘historic low’. “Let us not go for confrontation and I understand that it’s much easier to say this from Paris than from Delhi when you almost have a problem in the Himalayas and when you have Pakistan at your border”, said Bonne. He said that he talked with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval at the Strategic Dialogue about strategic opportunities as well as the bilateral defence, security relationship and military cooperation between the two countries. “In particular, we are sharing information, we are maneuvering together our navies, our air and space commandments are coordinating. We are building capacities and cooperating. When it comes to Indian Ocean, we are working on maritime surveillance”, he added.

Emmanuel Bonne is likely to call on other Indian dignitaries during his visit. The last edition of the strategic dialogue was held in February 2020 in Paris.

China left fire-fighting after vaccine expert suggests its COVID-19 vaccine is ‘most unsafe in the world’ with ‘73 side-effects’

0

A Chinese vaccine expert kicked up a controversy after suggesting on social media that a Covid-19 vaccine that has been rolled out in China is ‘the most unsafe in the world’ and has ‘as many 73 side-effects’. Dr Tao Lina from Shanghai stated the shortcomings of the vaccine developed by Beijing’s state-run drugmaker Sinopharm to his followers on social media on Tuesday. However, not long after media reported the news, the vaccine expert pulled down his post from Weibo, the Twitter-like microblogging site in China, giving a rather bizarre justification.

The vaccine expert from China takes a U-turn, says had written in an ‘extremely sarcastic’ tone

The medical worker, on Thursday, blatantly denied of having criticised the vaccine and said that his words were ‘twisted’ and ‘exploited’ by foreign media outlets. He claimed that his post was written in an ‘extremely sarcastic’ tone, which was distorted and presented by media.

As outlandish as it could sound, Tao said that he had written ‘satirically’ that the user guide, which was meant to serve as a disclaimer, inadvertently makes the vaccine look like the most unsafe vaccine in the world and may be used by hostile parties as a tool to question its safety.

Speaking to Global Times, Tao said on Thursday: “I have never said that inactivated vaccines lacked safety and efficacy. Instead, I frequently emphasized that inactivated vaccines produced by China are safe in multiple articles to dismiss public concerns over vaccinations.”

Social media post suggests that he indeed called the COVID-19 vaccine of China most unsafe in the world

However, much to the dismay of the Chinese medical worker, a screeshot of his post showed clearly that he had mentioned that none of the vaccines in the world ‘had more side effects’ than the two-dose COVID-19 regimen from Sinopharm and described its potential adverse impact as “unprecedented”.

He stated that after he read the manual, “I took in a long cold breath, and counted the conditions listed in the ‘adverse reactions’ column.” He found that there were 73 local/systemic adverse reactions associated with the vaccine.

Some of the listed side effects were pain around the injection area, headache, high blood pressure, the loss of vision and taste, and urinary incontinence.

Screenshot of Tao’s post written in Mandarin language on Weibo

Probably scared of the repercussions he may have to face in the hands of the autocratic Chinese authorities, Tao took a U-turn and went on to insist that the Chinese treatment was “very safe” and apologised to his fellow countrymen for his ‘imprudent’ choice of words. He claimed he had even received the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine and would get his second dose on Saturday.

China and its history of penalising those of have spoken against the authorities over their handling of the pandemic

Well, Tao’s trepidation is somewhat justified. History has it that the tyrannical government of China has always stifled dissenting voices. Who so ever has dared to speak against China over their handling of the pandemic, has either gone mysteriously missing or has been indicted by the Chinese authorities. In March 2020, it was reported how Ai Fen, director of the emergency at Wuhan Central hospital, had disappeared after criticizing Chinese authorities over their handling of the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic. She was the first person to raise the alarm over the virus. Her whereabouts remained unknown.

Soon afterwards, Chinese billionaire Ren Zhiqiang had to take the brunt of the Chinese government for criticising Xi Jinping over his bungled handling of the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic. Ren Zhiqiang too went missing after he wrote a searing article criticising the Chinese government. Then in April 2020, the retired real-estate tycoon has been placed under investigation over corruption charges by the Communist Party of China.

Similarly, a Chinese journalist, Zhang Zhan, who was under detention since May for reporting on the Wuhan virus outbreak had been formally indicted on charges of spreading false information on November 17, 2020.

Since the time the scourge of coronavirus swept the world, China has now found itself at the receiving end of the criticism and blamed for its lackadaisical approach to tame the virus which clearly created conditions for the global pandemic. China has also been accused by a large number of countries of lowballing by underreporting the actual number of infections and deaths from the coronavirus outbreak which is believed to have started from the central Chinese city of Wuhan.

Karnataka govt to provide monetary benefits for financially backward Brahmins, launches various schemes

A year after its creation, the Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board has decided to launch two marriage schemes for betterment of the Brahmin community in the state. The two schemes – named ‘Arundhati’ and ‘Maitreyi’ aim to provide monetary benefits to brides from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) among Brahmins.

According to the reports, one of the two schemes offer financial bonds to Brahmin women who marry priests from economically weak background and the other intends to provide Rs 25,000 each for the marriage of 550 women from economically weak families from the community.

Under the Arundhati scheme, 550 Brahmin women from poor background will be provided Rs 25,000 each for their marriage. The Maitreyi scheme will grant a financial bond of Rs 3 lakh, which is to be used over three years, for 25 women who marry Brahmin priests from poor background.

The Maitreyi scheme will require the couples to stay married for three years to avail the entire bond of Rs 3 lakh. The installments of Rs 1 lakh will be paid at the end of each year of the marriage, said Board chairman HS Sachidananda Murthy.

Speaking to the media, Murthy said that they have received the government’s approval to launch the schemes – ‘Arundhati’ and ‘Maitreyi’ and funds have been set aside. We are in the process of chalking out the procedures to avail these funds. This is part of our efforts to assist weaker sections of the community, he said.

“Initially, the Maitreyi scheme with the Rs 3 lakh financial bond was proposed in the name of the bride who marries BPL Brahmin farmers or cooks or priests. However, during my tour across the state, I found that priests were economically very weak and we decided to launch the programme for their benefit to start with,” he added.

Scholarship for Brahmins, monthly honorarium for getting trained to rituals

The Brahmin Board, in addition to financial aid for marriages, has come up with various social welfare schemes for Brahmins. The government had allocated Rs 25 crore of budget funds when it had announced by the creation of the boared in 2018-19 period. The board was created at the end of 2019 when the BJP government headed by BS Yediyurappa came to power.

The government has also launched another scheme in which Rs 500 a month will be provided to nearly 4,000 individuals who is trained in puja rituals and sandhya vandana (evening prayers). The age limit for this scheme is between 8-80 years. Around three per cent of the six crore population in Karnataka belongs to the Brahmin community.

According to Chariman Murthy, an additional Rs 14 crore has also been set aside to help students from poor Brahmin families in the form of scholarships, payment of fees and providing training to those who have passed the preliminary stage of examinations such as the UPSC.

The beneficiaries can avail the benefits by certifying that they do not own five or more acres of agricultural land, a residential flat that is more than 1,000 sq ft, that they do not belong to backward classes or scheduled castes and that the family income is below Rs 8 lakh per annum.

TMC termites eating up party from inside: Sourav Ganguly’s family friend and TMC leader opens front ahead of 2021 elections

Ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections 2021, things are going sideways for the incumbent Trinamool Congress Party (TMC). The party is facing an unprecedented crisis, bordering on implosion, as its leaders are rebelling and resigning in protest. Days ago, minister Laxmi Ratan Shukla resigned from his post and now another TMC MLA Vaishali Dalmiya, a close friend of Sourav Ganguly, has opened a front against the party.

Vaishali is a close family friend of cricketer Sourav Ganguly and the daughter of late cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya. Trinamool MLA from Bally Assembly Constituency, Vaishali has raised concerns about the state of affairs in the Trinamool Congress.

Party termites eating up TMC from the inside: Vaishali Dalmiya

Vaishali has attributed the current predicament of the party to the pervasive corruption that it failed to rein in. She said TMC is suffering losses due to corruption and corruption is eating up the party like termites.

In an interview with India TV, Vaishali revealed that hers is a voice shouting in the wilderness for the last three years about the prevalent corruption in her constituency.

Dalmiya’s statements comes days after former cricketer and West Bengal Minister of State (MoS) for Sports and Youth Affairs Laxmi Ratan Shukla resigned from the Mamata Banerjee-led state cabinet. Shukla is MLA from Howrah North. She said that she is feeling bad on Shukla’s resignation, adding that he was doing a good job.

Speaking on his disenchantment with party workers, Dalmiya said in an interview to India Today that she is not angry with the party functioning but with the stonewalling of work by the TMC party members.

“There are people in the Trinamool Congress who do not have any love lost for party workers, who don’t love the people of the state, they just love themselves. They are termites who are eating up the party from within. These are people who do not fight with other parties but fight with people within. They do not even love Mamata Banerjee,” Dalmiya said.

Speculations rife that Vaishali will be joining the BJP

The Bally MLA’s unabashed criticism of the party workers have spawned rumours of her joining the BJP. Vaishali has put paid to the rumours saying that she doesn’t intend to join the saffron party.

“I will continue to work for the people. I have been called non-political many times. So be it. I will continue to work with people, stand with them,” Vaishali said.

The rumbling by another TMC MLA holds significance, considering that it has come at a time when the party is already reeling from the exit of party heavyweight Suvendu Adhikari, along with 6 other MLAs, and most recently with the resignation of the TMC minister Laxmi Ratan Shukla.

Pervasive rumours of Sourav Ganguly joining the BJP

The fact that Vaishali Dalmiya shares close relationship with legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly has also served to add to the rumours of her joining the BJP.

Ever since BJP racked up an impressive 18 of the total 42 seats in West Bengal in the 2019 General elections, not a single day has passed with speculations of Sourav Ganguly joining the BJP and be its chief ministerial candidate in the upcoming state elections.

Sourav Ganguly himself is known to share a cordial relationship with Amit Shah and his son Jay Shah, who is the Secretary of BCCI. Dona Ganguly, the cricketer’s wife who is a well-known classical dancer, was seen performing at BJP Mahila Morcha’s Durga Puja in Kolkata.

Ganguly, who suffered a minor heart attack earlier this month, has been ambiguous in answering the questions about him joining the BJP. His equivocal responses on whether he is joining the BJP or not has also fuelled the speculations of a “Dada vs Didi” showdown in the forthcoming assembly elections.

As some states prepare to battle Bird Flu, SP leader decides to play politics, yet again: Here is what happened

As India prepares to roll out the world’s biggest immunisation programme to vaccinate its people from the Wuhan coronavirus, another pernicious infection is beginning to take root in several states of the country. As per an ANI report, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy confirmed the outbreak of Avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu, reported from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala.

However, just as his master Akhilesh Yadav who could not stop playing politics over the COVID-19 vaccine, SP leader IP Singh today took to Twitter to politicise the outbreak of bird flu.

IP Singh shared an image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi feeding a peacock and insinuated that it was because of him that several states were seeing an outbreak of bird flu.

Insinuating that Narendra Modi was a ‘bad omen’, SP leader IP Singh said that the birds got Avian Influenza because he fed them ‘Dana’.

While it is entirely possible that IP Singh thought he was being funny, perhaps it is beyond the realm of understanding of SP politicians that when the nation battles disease, politicians are supposed to make themselves useful and not waste time indulging in such petty mudslinging.

Akhilesh Yadav refuses to take ‘BJP vaccine’

Even as the country is gearing up for providing the coronavirus vaccine to citizens to limit the spread of the Chinese pandemic, opposition parties have already begun to politicise the issue of vaccination drive. On Saturday, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav dragged politics in that much-needed vaccination drive in the country saying that he will not get himself vaccinated as of now as it is ‘BJP’s vaccine’.

Saying that he cannot trust ‘BJP’s vaccine’, Akhilesh Yadav tried to create panic in the society by stating that he would get vaccinated when his government will be formed after the next election and claimed that he would give free vaccines to all.

“I am not going to get vaccinated for now. How can I trust BJP’s vaccine, when our government will be formed everyone will get free vaccine. We cannot take BJP’s vaccine,” said Samajwadi Party chief and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

However, later, Akhilesh Yadav took a u-turn and claimed, “Vaccination against coronavirus is a sensitive process. As such, the BJP must refrain from making it a show-off event and conduct the programme only after necessary arrangements for the same are done. This will affect the lives of people. So, we cannot risk their lives by making improvements to the vaccine later. The government must also declare a fixed date for the immunisation of poor people.”
