Some protesting farmers are sexually harassing female reporters at the protests, Preeti Choudhry, Editor at India Today, has said. She said on Twitter that a ‘sizeable chunk of depraves’ are sexually harassing reporters and that others are letting it happen.
Preeti Choudhry claims a section of farmers are sexually harassing reporters.
Preeti Choudhry said that her own team has enough such incidents to report. One Bhupender Chaudhry, a ‘proud Congressi’ as well as a member of the Bharat Kisan Union as per his Twitter bio, tried to justify the sexual harassment by saying that ‘news hungry reporters’ who attempt to ‘forcefully’ take news bytes should be prosecuted too.
It is not clear how a reporter doing his or her job, even if they go over the top, could ever justify sexually harassing them. Preeti Choudhry said that if someone does not want to give a ‘bite’, then they shouldn’t give but they should refrain from pinching their buttocks.

Meanwhile, even as the eight rounds of talks between the central government and the farmers’ union remained inconclusive, the demonstrators have stepped up their efforts to pressure the Centre into accepting their demands. A new protest site has come up at Gangaicha border in Rewari even as the protest in Manesar is gathering steam.
Until now, the Singhu border has been the protest site where the so-called farmers had camped in opposition to the newly introduced Farm Bills. The demonstrators have been stubbornly demanding the annulment of the three farm laws while the central government has said that the complete rollback of the laws is off the negotiation table.
Celestino T Perez, who claims to be a retired colonel, has threatened of more violence ahead of the inauguration of Joe Biden as president on the 20th of January. In a post that has now gone viral on the internet, Colonel Perez, with the username @Colonel007 on the platform, has claimed that ‘patriots’ will return to Washington DC on the 19th of January with weapons.
The announcement by Colonel Perez comes at the backdrop of massive violence at Washington DC when supporters of incumbent president Donald Trump stormed Capitol Hill and breached the premises of the US seat of governance. They entered Nancy Pelosi’s office and basically ran amok.
‘Colonel Perez’ claims ‘patriots’ will return to Washington DC a day before Joe Biden becomes US President
Colonel Perez said in the post, “Today, January 6, 2021, We patriots by the millions, have arrived in Washington, D.C., carrying banners of support for the greatest President the world has ever known. Bit (sic) if we must… Many of Us will return on January 19, 2021, carrying Our weapons, in support of Our nation’s resolve, to which the world will never forget!!!”
He continued, “We will come in numbers that no standing army or police agency can match. However, the police are NOT Our enemy, unless they choose to be! All who will not stand with the American Patriots… or who cannot stand with Us… then, that would be a good time for YOU to take a few vacation days.”
There’s another post of his that has gone viral where he claims that Donald Trump has told them to “fight like hell”. In that post, he says, “Today Eric Trump said that he would physically fight with the Patriots to save Our country. Today Representative Mo Brooks, asked the Patriots to pledge Our live and wealth to fight for Our country. And today President Trump told Us to “fight like hell”.”
He continued, “He said that Our cause was a matter of national security, and that these people behind the massive fraud must be arrested and brought to justice. And that task, falls on the shoulders of We The People…. the American Patriots.”
“So over the next 24 hours, I would say, lets get our personal affairs in order. Prepare Our weapons, and then go get’em . Lets hunt these cowards down like the Traitors that each of them are. This includes, RINOS, Dems, and Tech Execs. We now have the green light. [All] who resist Us, are enemies of Our Constitution, and must be treated as such,” it states.
Colonel Perez has made his account private on Parler. Capitol Hill witnessed massive violence that was condemned by leaders around the world. A woman was shot at the protests who died afterwards. Explosives were discovered at the RNC and DNC. Social media platforms had locked Trump’s account following the incident.

As peoples’ anger against the Central Govs’ refusal to repeal the Farm acts is gaining strength, another protest site has opened up in Gangaicha border in Rewari while the Manesar protest is continuously gaining in strength. /1
Until now, the Singhu border has been the protest site where the so-called farmers had camped in opposition to the newly introduced Farm Bills. The demonstrators have been stubbornly demanding the annulment of the three laws while the central government has said that the complete rollback of the laws is off the negotiation table.
Meanwhile, the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee working group has made a clarion call for large and wide mobilisations during protests on January 13, 18, 23 and 26.
After the talks with the government fell flat, the AIKSCC working group stated that its fight to repeal the three farm laws is to “protect environment, river and forest resources and save the seed sovereignty of the country”.
These will be further jeopardised once the Corporate and MNC control over agriculture markets and farm processes gains control due to implementation of these Acts. /4
AIKSCC continues scaremongering against the new farm laws
Continuing its scare-mongering against the Farm Bills, AIKSCC working group said Corporates and MNCs had no interest in providing food to the hungry. It stated that Corporates and MNCs will work towards utilising agriculture markets to reap profits by gaining control of the agriculture markets and farm processes.
“It is not just Gov. procurement and PDS, already this year Modi Govt has decided to free up the supply of wheat, rice, jowar, bajra, barley and others for conversion into alcohol to be mixed in fuel. The poor man’s food will serve as rich man’s fuel,” AIKSCC said.
Preening themselves on the ongoing farm protests, the AIKSCC said that the protests is fostering unity and communal harmony by farmers of different states is sending a message of sacrifice and deep consideration for the neighbour as against the corporate culture of serving self-interest.
“The wide, deep unity amongst farming people being created will end the attempts to sow regional dissensions over the division of water & will create an atmosphere where water resources are salvaged from corporate loot & are used more efficiently for farming & peoples’ development,” it said.
The eighth round of talks between the Centre and the demonstrators ends on an inconclusive note
It is pertinent to note that the eighth round of talks held between the demonstrating farmers’ union and the central government ended up without a comprehensive solution, just like the previous seven talks. The next round of talks will be held on January 15.
The meeting between the representatives of the protesters and the central government, which took place at the Vigyan Bhawan, had hit a roadblock within first few minutes as the demonstrators remained adamant on their maximalist stance of complete rollback of the farm laws. However, the Centre ruled out a complete withdrawal of Acts, asserting the laws have been welcomed by a large section of farmers in other states across the country and asked the unions to bear in mind the interests of the entire country.
Congress leader Salman Nizami had made some vile and disgusting tweets merely a month after the Nirbhaya rape and murder case. In the January 2013 tweets, Salman Nizami said that ‘only attractive women are raped’, ‘women provoke sexual harassment’ and that women are ‘asking for trouble’ when they dress ‘provocatively’ among other things. Those tweets have now gone viral.
In his initial defense, Salman Nizami made a bizarre comment. He claimed that he was a journalist in 2013. It isn’t clear how that makes any difference. He arrogantly berated people on social media, “Now sit down!” Naturally, when people refused to do so, he came with another line of defense.
Salman Nizami claims his account was hacked
He now claims that his account was hacked by Pakistani hackers. He said, “BJP IT cell attacking me for tweets of 2013 which I never wrote & they circulate from time to time when dejection takes them over. Old disease of the BJP. Shameful!” But there are a few problems with the line of defense he has chosen.
First and foremost, there are numerous grammatical and spelling errors in the newspaper clip shared by the Congress leader. Pioneer is spelled as ‘Pionner’, ‘some friends’ is written as ‘some friend’s’ and the date Feb 5 looks extremely odd as well.
The news clip shared by Salman Nizami has numerous errors
Furthermore, it doesn’t say which newspaper carried the headline. On the whole, it looks extremely dubious and is a complete volte-face from the first line of defense taken by Salman Nizami, which was that he was a journalist back then.
We delved into the internet for more information regarding the matter and found that it is not the first time that Salman Nizami had made such claims. In 2017, prior to the Gujarat Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Modi had targeted the Congress party over derogatory comments made by the Congress leader.
Salman Nizami had then said, “I had filed a police complaint in 2015 when my fake Twitter account was created. Five to six accounts in my name were created. I have never used such words.” “How can the Prime Minister quote from a fake Twitter account? Somebody may have hacked my account, who knows,” he had said.
The comments were made from his verified account on Twitter, so it could not have been a fake account. Moreover, his comments from back then shows that he believed someone ‘may have hacked’ his account. Also, the repulsive tweets on rape he made in the aftermath of the Nirbhaya rape and murder were from January 2013, that is two years prior to the police complaint he claims to have filed over fake accounts.
DNA reported in December 2017 that the derogatory tweets made by Salman Nizami went as far back as 2011, that is 4 years before he claims to have filed a police complaint. In a 2013 tweet, he had written, “Rahul Gandhi overheard whispering during the Republic Day parade: Mummy, if the whole army is here, who is guarding the border right now?”
He had told DNA back then, “Back in 2013 after I had written an article in a national daily against terrorists, several accounts had been made in my name and I was defamed through them. Again in 2015 such things happened and I had lodged a police complain.” Again, this is not a case of hacking that he is alleging.
Fake accounts being created in one’s name is not the same as his account being hacked. Moreover, as we have pointed out earlier, the rape tweets could not have been from a fake account as they were made from his verified handle. Therefore, his hacking claims appear dubious unless some solid evidence is produced.
Also, it is unclear why he did not remove the tweets after he regained access to his Twitter account if his account was indeed ‘hacked’. This January, it will be eight years since the tweets were made. It is unclear why he is deleting them only now.
In an undated video that has gone viral on the internet, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan could be seen stressing the need to strengthen the Pakistani Armed Forces in the face of the threat posed by the current Indian regime. Expressing fear over the Modi government, Khan said that India had never had such a government in the last 73 years.
Khan was presumably speaking in a rally when he cautioned this country to the pressing need of strengthening the Pakistani forces as the threat quotient has increased significantly under the Modi government in India.
“Pakistan needs a strong force today because in 73 years, India never had such strong Govt.”
“If there’s ever a need to strengthen Pakistan’s Armed Forces, it is now. And why is it needed so? Because in the last 73 years, there has never been a government like the one with have in India today,” Pakistan PM Imran Khan said.
The clip appears to be a part of the 73rd Independence Day reportage broadcasted by the Lahore-based 92 News channel. Khan’s fearful apprehensions about the Indian government underscores the Modi regime’s nationalistic credentials. The misgivings evoked by the current Indian government in Pakistani Prime Minister is grounded in the audacious decisions taken by PM Modi in the last 6 years of his rule.
Modi government irreversibly alters the terms of relationship with Pakistan
Ever since PM Modi came to power, it has shunned the Congress policy of overlooking repeated transgressions committed by Pakistan. It has given a free rein to the Armed Forces along the border and granted them greater autonomy to neutralise Pakistani terrorists trying to infiltrate into India. Arguably, for the first time, Pakistan has been made aware of the consequences it would invite by sponsoring and promoting terror activities in India.
The Modi government did not hesitate to order a Surgical Strike just days after Pakistani terrorists killed about 18 Indian soldiers in Uri sector in 2016. Eleven days after the fateful terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces on 29 September 2016 surreptitiously crossed the Line of Control in the dead of night and conducted surgical strikes against suspected militants in Pakistani-occupied Kashmir.
Three years later in 2019, the Modi government ordered airstrikes at a Jaish-e-Muhammad terror camp, perched deep inside Pakistan. On 14 February 2019, a JeM trained terrorist rammed his explosives-laden car with the CRPF convoy, killing 40 soldiers. Twelve days later on 26 February 2019, Indian fighter jets dropped precision-guided bombs on the JeM terror camp in Balakot, killing somewhere close to 200-300 terrorists.
Months later, the Indian government invalidated Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and paved the way for the longstanding integration of the state with the Indian Union. The move had naturally irked Pakistan and it has been ranting and raving since August 2019 over the annulment of Article 370. But the Indian government has made it amply clear that Pakistan’s protestations won’t change the status quo. Instead, the Modi government has now shifted the conversation from Jammu and Kashmir to the illegally captured territories of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
India has also intensified its efforts in isolating Pakistan through diplomatic channels. It has consistently exposed Islamabad’s patronage to anti-India terrorists on various global forums. India’s relentless efforts have led to the Financial Action Task Force(FATF) placing Pakistan into the grey list for its role of facilitating terror funding. With Islamabad teetering on the edge of an imminent financial collapse, the inclusion in the FATF’s grey list has imposed additional pressure on the Imran Khan government to avert the crisis. It has grudgingly started taking action against the terrorists operating on its soil, in a bid to avoid black-listing from the FATF.
Police in Uttar Pradesh Badaun, in a late-night crackdown on Thursday, arrested Mahant Baba Satyanarayan, the main accused in the alleged gangrape of a 50-year-old Anganwadi worker. According to reports, the Tamil Nadu priest was hiding in the same village for the last two days while several police teams including STF were looking for him all over the state. The Badaun police, along with the Mahant also arrested the youth who had provided the accused shelter.
Police had a tough time tracking him despite a reward Rs 50,000 on his arrest. The two other accused namely Vedram, Baba Satyanarayan’s aide and Jaspal his driver, were nabbed by the police on Tuesday night.
A video surfaced on the microblogging site Twitter where two police constables are seen taking Mahant Satyanarayan on a bike. It is being presumed that the villagers had caught Mahant Satyanarayan and handed him over to the police.
50-year-old Anganwadi worker gang-raped, murdered in Badaun
On January 6 it was reported how a 50-year-old Anganwadi worker was brutally gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun. As per reports, the woman went to the temple on Sunday night and never returned. She was gang-raped and killed by the perpetrators.
On Monday afternoon, her body was sent for postmortem which revealed more brutalities. She had received fatal injuries in her private parts. Her ribs and legs were also broken. Severe bleeding was also reported. Postmortem has further revealed her lungs were also crushed with something heavy. A metal rod was also reportedly inserted in her private parts.
According to the villagers, Mahant Baba Satyanarayan, his aide Vedram and driver Jaspal escaped after leaving the woman bleeding to death. She later succumbed to her injuries.
A case of gang-rape and murder has been registered and sections 302 and 376D of Indian Penal Code has been evoked.

Despite it is well known that Pakistan sponsored terror and anti-national activities in India, the country keeps denying them. But now, one journalist from Pakistan has revealed how the country is trying to instigate trouble in India. Pakistani journalist Kashif Abbasi has recently admitted on a live television show that Pakistan indeed trains Sikhs and Nagaland separatists in India and uses them to foment trouble for India. “You have used the Sikh and Nagaland faultlines and trained them against India”, said the journalist during his show Off the Record, which was broadcasted on Pakistan based ARY News channel on January 7, 2021.
Kashif Abbasi was conducting a panel discussion on the recent killing of coal miners in Balochistan, with Pakistan’s federal minister for science and technology Fawad Chaudhry and Imran Khan’s opposition party PMNL leader Miftah Ismail.
Pakistan providing tactical support to Sikh militants and Naxalites in India: Pakistan journalist Kashif Abbasi
When Fawad Chaudhry begins his usual delusional rant of India’s interference in Balochistan, the anchor Kashif Abbasi and the opposition minister cuts him short and reminds him of Pakistani misevdeavours under Imran Khan’s regime. Miftah Ismail tells the Imran Khan’s minister how the fault lies within their own country. He opines that before blaming Modi or India, Imran Khan should remember how under his regime, Pakistan has always fostered terrorism in India aiming to destabilise the country. The anchor here adds that the Pakistan government has always provided Sikh militants and Naxalites in India with different types of tactical support in order to use them against India.
One must recall here that Pakistan have long accused India of fuelling insurgency in Balochistan. This is a usual delusion harboured by Pakistan. Pakistan officials have maintained that Indian spies are operating through a network of Indian missions dotting southern and eastern Afghanistan, where most Baloch insurgents are also based. The United Nations (UN) was also provided with the dossiers of the Indian patronage to the insurgent groups in Balochistan by the Government of Pakistan (GoP) regarding terrorist activities being funded and monitored by the Research Analysis Wing (RAW) – the Indian intelligence agency. And to validate its claims, Pakistan has maliciously held an Indian serving naval officer, Kulbhushan Jadhav captive labelling him a ‘spy’.
Pakistan’s role in aiding disharmony in India
However, the fact is that on the contrary, Pakistan has always tried to interfere and wage terrorism in India. Be it the Kashmir issue or the anti-CAA protests or the current ‘farmers’ protest, Pakistan’s role in aiding disharmony in India has always come to the forefront. Recently, Pakistan’s federal minister for science and technology Fawad Chaudhry, who had admitted to Pakistan government’s role in the Pulwama terror attack, retweeted a video by Rana Ayyub and said that the Delhi government is not even listening. Imran’s minister alleged that the BJP government has no case for Punjabi farmers.
Farmer’s protest hijacked by Khalistanis and Pakistani funded organisation SFJ
Moreover, enough evidences emerged over the alleged involvement of SFJ in instigating Punjab farmers to protest against the Modi government under the pretext that the three farm bills are ‘anti-farmer’ in nature.
The shady role of the SFJ is being analysed as more and more details are emerging that points towards the possible interference of pro-Khalistan elements to hijack these farmer protest.
It is important to note that the Khalistan organisation SFJ, funded by Pakistan, had earlier declared a grant of $1 million for farmers in Punjab and Haryana in lieu of their support for Khalistan.
On 23rd September, it was reported that the SFJ had attempted to capitalise on the ongoing protests by farmers and had declared that it would distribute $1 million among farmers who had defaulted on agricultural loans.
Earlier in September itself, the banned pro-Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) had announced a door-to-door campaign for registration of voters supporting its separatist agenda called ‘Referendum 2020’.
An alleged conversation between BJP leader Maneka Gandhi and a businessman called Ramalingam has gone viral on the internet where the former can be heard saying that she will get the latter booked in a sexual harassment case. The conversation is reported to have occurred after Ramalingam allegedly hit a dog with a bat.
Where @Manekagandhibjp says she will belive only what animal rights activists say ignoring that one of them allegedly eats BEEF. She threatens this man of putting him into Jail w/t even listening. GROSS ABUSE OF POWER @HMOIndia
— Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj (@DeepikaBhardwaj) January 7, 2021
During the conversation, Maneka Gandhi can be allegedly heard calling the man ‘Goonda’, ‘scoundrel’ and accused him of harassing one Malati Shah and Nitin. The BJP leader tells Ramalingam, “You will not harass…I will put sexual harassment case against you. You are harassing Malati Shah, You are harassing Nitin. You are going place to place talking nonsense. You are known as local goonda. You are jobless. Trying to get into politics, harass people through that. Do you understand?”
Ramalingam can be heard pleading that he did not anything wrong. He says that his daughter was bitten by the dog. However, all his concerns are ignored by Maneka Gandhi. When he tells her that she has only listened to a ‘cooked up’ version of events and that she would heard both sides of the story before reaching a conclusion, he is cut off.
Maneka Gandhi is heard saying at one point, “You can not use BJP to sort out your goonda issues. Do you understand Ramlingam?” Ramalingam says during the conversation, “Madam sorry, I didn’t hit the dog with the bat but pushed it that too in self protection and nothing happened to the dog.”
The BJP leader threatened at another point, “You are total liar and scoundrel….half the time you are drunk and you get the drunk people to harass the women. Now I will put the women molestation case against you.” Ramalingam says that he is willing to undergo a blood test for the presence of alcohol. He says that he loves animals himself and had 40 cows. But Maneka Gandhi said that he sells the cows to butchers.
She tells Ramalingam, “You will not have any animals….you will not threaten people….you will not be a local goonda…and now I am informing the corporator….that you are a character living there…I will inform the police also…any instance you will go to jail….”
Ramalingam says, “You just got cooked up stories….you have not the detailed story about what has happened here….Girl (Malati) doesn’t have any work in our area….no business at 9:30 at night…how did she come to our area…why did she come to our area?” The BJP leader responded saying that it wasn’t his father’s area.
In another audio clip of a conversation that has gone viral, Maneka Gandhi can be allegedly heard calling a man ‘haramzaada’, ‘harami’, ‘bloody swine’ and ‘ch*tiya’.
"Har@@mzaade" "Har@@mi" "Bl००dy Swine, c#utiya" Another conversation by MP @Manekagandhibjp madam threatening to send a man to jail cuz he didn't give back dogs cuz stitches were still healing. — Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj (@DeepikaBhardwaj) January 8, 2021
As per reports, Ramalingam had hit the dog after it bit his daughter. “This was opposed by his neighbour, Nitin and his friend Malati. This episode led to full blown arguments between residents of Crescent Road Malati. She filed complaint against Ramlingama and Ramlingam too filed case against her. We registered both complaints,” a police officer was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express.
As per the Police, a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) has been filed against Ramalingam as well as animal activist Malati and Nitin on the 2nd of January. “However, we have not received any formal complaint against the purported audio clip which is doing rounds and has not come to our notice. If anyone comes forward and file a complaint, we will take that case,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Sub-division) M.N. Anuchet told IANS.
Mohammad Ghulam Rabbani, who is a Minister of State for Labour in the West Bengal government, on Thursday was caught spreading false propaganda targeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) by claiming that the organisation had a role to play in the violent protests that erupted on the outskirts of Capitol Hill in the Washington DC on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter, the West Bengal minister said that the covert force of Reserved Secret Service (RSS), after ‘demolishing secularism’ on December 6 in India, has now gone to Capitol Hill with an Indian flag to show how democracy can be destroyed in the United States.
Rabbani shared a video of an Indian flag being waved at the Capitol Hill in Washington which is juxtaposed next to the image of the 1992 demolition of the Babri disputed structure at the Ram Janmabhoomi to claim that RSS had ‘demolished’ democracy in the United States by actively participating in the protests
After demolishing ?????????? on ??? ??? in India, the covert force of Reserved Secret Service (RSS) went to Capitol Hill, with Indian flag ?? on ??? ??? to reece how to demolish ?????????#Shameful
— Md Ghulam Rabbani (রাব্বানী) (@GhulamRabbani_) January 7, 2021
According to Rabbani, RSS workers not only participated in the US protests but also unfurled Indian flags during the protests. Minister Rabbani insinuates that waving Indian flags was akin to destroying democracy.
However, in his hurry to target and abuse RSS, the West Bengal minister resorted to spreading fake news about the incident that took place outside Capitol Hill on Wednesday.
Did RSS involve in the protests in Washington DC?
Contrary to the false propaganda by Mohammad Ghulam Rabbani, neither RSS nor any Hindu groups were there holding Indian flag outside Capitol Hill during the protests against the alleged rigged US Presidential elections.
Continuing to share similar lies just as left-liberals and Islamists in the country, who had alleged that it was one of those ‘Hindu supremacists’ who had waved the tricolour in the US bringing ‘shame’ to the country, Rabbani declared at that it was Hindu organisation RSS which was behind the incident.
However, it was an engineer named Vincent Xavier from Kerala, a fan and follower of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and a Republican Party member who had held the Indian Tricolour at the Capitol Hill yesterday. We had reported in detail regarding the presence of Vincent Xavier in the Capitol Hill protests, where he had unfurled the tricolour in support of outgoing US President Donald Trump.
Vincent Xavier, the man in question, on Friday, busted the ‘liberal-secular’ propaganda by confirming that he was the one who participated in the protest and waved the Indian tricolour. Speaking to CNN-News18, the 54-year-old Francis Xavier said he was part of the peaceful protests and waved the tricolour to protest against the alleged election fraud during the US Presidential elections leading to the defeat of incumbent President Donald Trump.
Vincent Xavier, when asked about the reason for holding the Indian flag during the protests, further said that he carried the tricolour to show that the Trump supporters were not racists, and the protest rally was not a racist movement.
Salman Nizami, a Congress leader from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is often seen on Twitter sharing anti-BJP rants and spreading fake news. Today, he had claimed that the man who waved the Indian Tricolour at yesterday’s Capitol Hill protests is a ‘Modi supporter who is marching arm in arm with Trump supporters ‘to end democracy’.
Salman Nizami’s tweet
Nizam also claimed that PM Modi had raised the slogan ‘Ab ki Baar Trump Sarkar’ and thus had ‘campaigned for another head of state’. Both his claims are false. Vincent Xavier, the man who waved the flag, is an engineer from Kerala who lives in the USA. He is a member of the Republican Party and been a supporter of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor too. Also, his claims that PM Modi had given the ‘Ab ki Baar Trump Sarkar’ slogan to endorse Trump are wrong and baseless.
Twitter users have now found a number of old tweets by Nizami which are extremely sexist and misogynist in nature. Nizami has been found making bizarre speculations about the violent crimes against women, asserting that women themselves are responsible for fir it.
Look at the thoughts of so called high profiled Congressi @SalmanNizami_ I think disrespecting women is in their political DNA. Many examples in Congi like Tharoor, Digvijay, MP Congi minsiter calling a lady ITEM. And look at the audacity of this piddi he is asking to agree! pic.twitter.com/pmP2zjpD28
In a 2013 Tweet, Nizami is seen asserting that “Only attractive women are raped.”
In another 2013 Tweet, Nizami is seen claiming, “Women provoke sexual assault by their appearance. Sexual attractiveness is the primary reason why a rapist selects a victim.”
Image via Twitter
Not just the attractiveness of women, Nizami has also blamed women for getting raped. As per Nizami, women who ‘dress provocatively’ are asking for trouble.
image via Twitter
After the old tweets were widely shared on social media today, Nizami has deleted them and has been blocking people who are asking him about the tweets. It is pertinent to mention here that the disgusting tweets were made only weeks after Nirbhaya was gang-raped and murdered on the 16th of December, 2012. He made these tweets when the country was still recovering from the shock of the heinous crime and mourning the tragedy.
Interestingly, Salman then took to Twitter to offer a rather ridiculous explanation for his terrible tweets. He said that the tweets from 2013 were in response to other politicians and he was a “journalist” at the time. Salman seems to think that being a journalist sure gives you a pass to talk a lot of rubbish.
Tweet by Congress leader
Nizami is said to be a close aid of Congress prince Rahul Gandhi. As per reports, in 2014, he was appointed as the joint secretary of the J and K Pradesh Congress Committee at Rahul’s behest. On Twitter, Nizami has been a habitual fake news peddler who spreads misinformation against the Modi government. In the past, Nizam had also shared anti-India, secessionist tweets and had openly idolised terrorist Afzal Guru.
