‘Sonia Gandhi ordered tweet against Pranab Mukherjee’ claims NDTV journalist

MP from Gujarat and close aide of the Gandhi family, Ahmed Patel, expressed his disappointment with former President Pranab Mukherjee’s decision to accept the RSS’ invitation to address their cadres.

According to Sunetra Choudhury of NDTV, the tweet was made following specific instruction from former Congress President Sonia Gandhi. CEO of NDTV, Suparna Singh, tweeted the NDTV journalist’s revelation as well.

Pranab Mukherjee has been facing intense pressure from members of his former party to cancel his visit to Nagpur. His own daughter, Sharmishta Mukherjee, has also urged her father to reconsider his decision on Twitter.

Ever since the news of Pranab Mukherjee’s address to RSS cadres became public, Congress party members have been miffed with the decision of the former party stalwart. Veerappa Moily went to the extent of asserting that Mukherjee’s address to RSS cadres will create ‘undesirable difference’ in the country. Several Congress leaders had even written to him requesting him to change his mind. If Sunetra Choudhury’s claims are true, then it appears the pressure on Mukherjee was built at the behest of the Nehru-Gandhi family.

Nidhi Razdan tries to make snide remark on RSS, gets schooled

The poor man’s Barkha Dutt strikes again! Nidhi Razdan is famous for conducting entire debates on fake news and getting called out on social media. Today, Nidhi tried to peddle a fresh narrative. A storm has been brewing over former President and lifelong Congress-man Pranab Mukherjee attending an event by the RSS. Many including his daughter have expressed shock at his move.

Nidhi Razdan too jumped in to offer her two cents. Nidhi claimed that RSS and its supporters are defending Mukherjee’s acceptance by saying that although the two might be ideological adversaries, they should engage with each other in a democracy. Hence, Nidhi taunted the RSS that they too should “embrace those who are ideologically different from them”

Thus, Pranab Mukherjee was described as the one who has large-heartedly accepted the invite of an ideological adversary, in typical liberal fashion. But social media users saw through this entirely illogical argument.

It was the RSS which had initiated this move and invited Mukherjee, thus showing their readiness to “embrace those who are ideologically different from them”. Mukherjee had only reciprocated this with an acceptance. Hence, lecturing RSS on the virtues of liberalism is entirely foolish. Many on social media pointed out this hole in Nidhi’s logic:

Others also advised Nidhi to now be inclusive like the RSS and in turn visit a shakha!

If Nidhi was truly sensible in her talks, she should have chided the Congress, for its patently illiberal stance. Instead, Nidhi Retweeted a tweet which showed how the official handle of Congress, had now snidely attacked Mukherjee, a former President and one of the tallest leaders of Congress:

Can we put this down to idiocy in not realising the irony in her own logic? or a deliberate attempt to portray Mukherjee as the liberal and RSS as the intolerant?

In a shocking video, Vinod Dua of ‘The Wire’ found campaigning for Narendra Modi

0

The leftist propaganda website, ‘The Wire’ is known for its yellow journalism, questionable editorial policies and outright vitriolic hatred for some and affection for others. “Jan-Man-ki-Baat” is one of the many tools employed by ‘The Wire’ in their quest for spreading propaganda. Vinod Dua, in his show, usually talks about current affairs and how terrible the incumbent government is, almost with an apocalyptic tone.

But this video was different. In Episode 253, it would almost seem like Vinod Dua had been ‘red pilled’ and had started campaigning for Narendra Modi. Titled “Here’s How to gauge the Government’s Performance’’, Dua shared his ‘pearls of wisdom’ so that the simple-minded general public, who are unable to form opinions or deduct the current political situation like me don’t feel stupid. It is a great resource for everyone who is not as aware or as politically learned.

After going through the entire video, it seems Dua has betrayed the larger ethos of Wire by asking people to vote for BJP in 2019, albeit unintentionally. We now will take a look at Dua’s pointers and elucidate how he has scored an own goal –

Politics of Partisanship

Dua starts this video by declaring or rather urging people not to vote for a party which has continuously divided people and thrived on politics of partisanship. According to him, if a party engages in or only talks about religion and not about issues that matter, we are hoping the ‘issue that matter’ would be economical and agricultural development although Dua never discloses that part, to the country then people should restrain from voting for them.

Dua was perhaps hinting at Congress’ glaring links to caste agitations across the country. The divide and rule tactics that were employed by Congress and Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka. Or that recently. senior Congress leader, Gulam Nabi Azaad had appealed to Muslims to not vote for BJP. That Congress had tried to demonise the majority by creating the Hindu Terror bogey. Congress leader Kamal Nath’s recent letter to Rahul Gandhi that used dead people for petty caste politics. Or maybe, he was hinting at Congress hobnobbing with radical Islamist outfit PFI. The list is, of course, endless.

So, he by default has asked the people to vote for BJP as the BJP’s agenda is to deliver development and if we look at the manifesto of BJP this claim stands true. On the other hand, be it the Congress or the utopian concept of a third front, the only argument from their side is to talk about religion without interruption with Church also getting involved in politics and several of the opposition leader expressing their support for the meddling of religion in matters of state. Dua has presented a good argument for BJP, as it is the only party in the country which is talking about development and not religiosity.

Congress does not have a Leader

Here, Dua somewhat diverts from the ‘fiercely independent journalist’ tag. He almost had his own fanboy moment when he talked about how Congress did great in Karnataka by playing second-fiddle to the regional JD(S). Although, he tactfully does not mention the uproar that ensued within the Karnataka Congress after that happened. We here at OpIndia did a report on it and how senior leaders were up in arms about the five-year term of Kumaraswamy, while interestingly, Rahul Gandhi has been absconding ever since.

Nevertheless, after praising the Congress he expounded his praise for Congress by stating it lacks any leaders who are from the street or able to lead. Here again, Dua has suggested that Congress lacks leaders who can connect to the people at the grass-root level. Thus, it would be unwise to vote for Congress in the upcoming leader. Now, about the party which has a leader and possesses a widespread acceptance, which is not bounded by the various social strata has not been mentioned by Dua but we assume the reader is well informed.

Availability of the elected representative

Another point mentioned in the video is one of how available the elected representative is to his or her constituents. How many times, the leader has connected with the masses after getting elected into office. We agree with Dua on this one. A representative, more so, a people’s representative must maintain contact with the general populous. By this metric presented by Dua, Rahul Gandhi who goes on holiday every time there is a crisis or another election that the Congress loses under his leadership, or refuses to give any interview or any communiqué can never be considered as a candidate. Rahul and Sonia Gandhi have hardly visited their respective constituencies since they were elected too. Perhaps Dua forgot how there were ‘Missing’ posters being put up in their constituencies by the people, who were waiting for the yuvraj and his mother to come to visit them after making tall promises during elections.

On the other hand, The BJP and its various leaders have shown time and time again to be available for public service. Sushma Swaraj has proved to be a people’s minister in her various engagements in Twitter, Prime Minister Modi on whose monthly radio show “Maan Ki Baat” Dua’s programme is named after, engages directly with the masses through his radio show or his app.

Improvement in Quality of Life

Next, Dua asked the populous to question if their lives or rather the quality of life has improved in the last few years. Now, this question would spawn varied answer from person to person, as it is subjected to many variables such as location, educational qualification and so on. If we go by the Human Development Index which is produced by the United Nations, we can clearly see, India is doing better than it did in the era of the previous government. India’s human development Index is at 0.624 (2016) from 0.554(2012).

In fact, if we only look at MUDRA scheme of the government, there are various success stories that elucidate how such schemes have truly improved the quality of life of individuals.

So, to answer Dua’s very vague question, the quality of life has indeed improved under the incumbent government. Thus, if one goes by Dua’s logic, one should vote for the BJP.

Availability of Water, Electricity, Healthcare

Dua, throughout this entire video, has engaged in rhetoric, he has refrained from giving any numbers and focused solely on asking very generic questions without crosschecking. Let’s take healthcare, for example, Vinod Dua has attributed the bad behaviour of a Doctor with the policy decisions of the Government, this requires no response as this is utterly nonsensical. He also uses strange terms to define the state of healthcare, the terms he uses would only fit a mouth of an opposition leader doing a roadshow in a tier-2 city. Let’s look at the numbers – in February this year Government has approved the creation of 24 new universities under the national Ayushman Scheme. This would increase the existing number of seats in Government Medical colleges to the tune of 10,000 MBBS and 8,000 PG seats in the country. This is being done to reduce the disparity between seats available in Government and Private sector. The government is also ensuring that all private and medical colleges follow the strict academic standards.  The Government has approved around 14,930 crores under this scheme.

As far as Water management is concerned the incumbent government has taken a pro-active role in it. Other than co-operating with Israel on water conservation, in the fiscal year of 2017-2018 55 % of the total outlay, which comes around 35,000 Crores has been spent on Water conservation. If we talk about electricity, the current government has been able to achieve what previous governments could not achieve. All villages now have access to electricity.

What makes it more interesting is that Vinod Dua had talked about it beforehand where he mentioned only mentioned the 10% rule but forgot to mention, the earlier definition considered a village electrified even if one power line reached the area. In fact, the Power Sector has gone through a rapid renaissance that Dua doesn’t seem to be aware of.

Thus, it is apparent that if one follows Dua’s suggestion, one must vote for the BJP in the upcoming Loksabha Elections in 2019.

Unemployment-

At the end of this 13-minute video, Dua asks the viewer to go around and search people who are unemployed and for how long they are unemployed and then illogically tells the viewer that their unemployment is directly related to Demonetization. So, if one is unemployed it is because of Demonetization and nothing else. There can never be any other factor for that person to be unemployed.

Enough with the rhetoric, let’s look at the numbers. A study by an IIM-B professor had comprehensively debunked the myth of growth of unemployment. According to Nikkei, job creation has continued an upward trajectory and has touched a 7 year high. In tune with the rise in business activities across sectors, the Nikkei India Composite PMI Output Index went up from 50.8 to a three month high of 51.9 in April, supported by increased booking of orders in both manufacturing and services sectors. The Index rose from 50.3 in March to 51.4 in April, signalling a faster expansion in output at Indian service firms than in the previous month.

In fact, the controversial Sterlite Copper Plant, the permission for which was given by the Congress government now stands to risk 30,000 jobs because of closure.

So, by every pointer presented by Vinod Dua in his video, people should vote for BJP in the upcoming 2019 Loksabha elections. We must thank him and ‘The Wire’ for taking the time to educate the simpletons of India like us to choose what is best for us. Without his pointers, who know how the general populous would have voted.

Get real, Barkha, nobody cares, let alone is scared, if you launch a TV channel

0

As we inch closer to 2019 General Elections, the stakes are getting higher. Before Bihar elections in 2015, intolerance was rising in India. The democracy and the secular fabric of the nation was under threat in India. Now, with 2019 election, it is more personal. The cry is now about their own life is under threat. We had reported how senior journalist and champion of free speech, Ravish Kumar, who was allegedly caught on camera breaking traffic rules, cried that he and his family was under surveillance. Taking a cue from Ravish, former NDTV journalist Barkha Dutt today took to Twitter to express her fears. She claimed that she was under surveillance too.

Since the advent of social media, the propaganda masqueraded as one way communication through news channels and newspapers is being regularly busted. OpIndia has time and again busted propaganda of media as well as those endorsed by media under the garb of ‘comedy’. Many have come to the sad realisation that the ones most of us grew up watching on TV as ‘neutral’ and ‘fierce’ journalists, were probably just pushing agenda of those they were fans of. Or those who favoured them, in most cases. Of course, those who call out the propaganda are called ‘abusive trolls’ because hardly anyone finds the truth comforting. With the Internet being accessible to people far and wide, the ‘media’ is losing its mafia-like hold on the narrative, which is forcing them to play the victim card.

People could see through the propaganda by the likes of Dutt, especially since she has been discredited after the release of Radia tapes back in 2010 when the Home Ministry under the UPA allegedly tapped phone lines of Niira Radia. The released tapes include Radia’s alleged conversation with senior journalists like Barkha herself. Clearly, no one cried ‘surveillance’ back then. In fact, she even took to social media to talk about how NDTV didn’t come to her rescue when she was covered in Radia tape controversies, perhaps because NDTV had allegedly received funding with help of Niira Radia. Clearly, she had no issues with the ‘Establishment’ back then.

So, when the current Establishment can’t even ban NDTV, which is more acidic than she is, for a day, Barkha’s claim sound just too megalomaniac. Even wannabe Barkha, Faye D’souza, is allowed to run Mirror Now, why would the Establishment not allow Barkha, who has an ‘illustrious‘ career behind her?

And because Arnab Goswami could launch a TV channel, giving everyone a run for their money in the short time it has been around, here stands Barkha, dumped by Shekhar Gupta, it is understandable that she is frustrated. But she should not worry. I’m pretty sure she has her own loyal fan following who’d be glued to her TV channel.

People often dramatize situations to either protect themselves in genuine situations where they are under threat or by those in the dock want to get out of it by crying wolf.

So, please! Spare us the drama, really.

BJP calls out Congress’ vulture politics, demands answers from Rahul Gandhi over Maoist letter

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra today held a press conference where he discussed the explosive letter accessed by Times Now that mentions incriminating details on Congress over their involvement in the Bhima Koregaon violence.

Stating that Congress has been stripped of every clothe of modesty, Sambit Patra informed that the Pune Police, in a press conference earlier today, has confirmed the authenticity of the letter and stated that a political party and some individuals have been named in the letter. Patra also mentioned that the Pune Police have admitted that if required they will interrogate those mentioned here regarding their involvement in the case.

Sambit Patra held out a list of 74 banned organisation presented by the then UPA minister of state RPN Singh in the Lok Sabha on 18 February 2014. The list contains the names of banned organisations in the country that serve as urban front organisations of Naxals and Maoists.

Patra informed that the letter starts with a ‘Lal Johar’ (Laal Salaam) to comrade Rona Wilson and goes ahead to inform him that the higher committee appreciates their efforts to release political prisoners. It is notable here that Rona Wilson is associated with the Committee for Release of Political Prisoners, an organisation named at number 21 in the list of banned terror organisations.

Highlighting the parts of the letter which details the long preparations for the Bhima Koregaon violence and mentions that their comrades have been preparing for 2 months for the Bhima Koregaon violence, Patra alleged that the Bhima Koregaon violence was a carefully orchestrated agitation to create chaos in the state. He also condemned the Maoists for calling the Bhima Koregaon violence as ‘effective’ and expressed shock over their intentions of using the death of a young man as propaganda material. He read out the parts of the letter where it was mentioned that the senior Congress leadership has promised all possible legal and financial help through the conduit ‘Jignesh’.

Patra also mentioned the parts of the letter where it is mentioned that the senior members of CPIM had met Swedish delegates in London. He called out their agenda of involving foreign powers to malign the image of the country abroad. He also cited the recent event where Arundhati Roy was seen speaking to a UK news channel about ‘terrible violence’ in India. He demanded to know that if the collaboration with Maoists to create chaos in the country the opposition alliance the Congress has been talking about.

Patra also mentioned that the letter states that Congress has promised the release of political prisoners like comrade Kobad and comrade Sai (Professor GN Saibaba).

Patra further stated that the letter also mentions about activists in the United Students Democratic Front being mobilised to spread violent agitations in BJP ruled states. the USDF is at number 74 in the list of banned organisations prepared by UPA government.

Sambit Patra lashed out at Congress saying the party have been playing politics over the blood and bones of Dalits. He questioned how did the Congress agree to conspire with the very organisations they had listed as terror fronts and asked if this is the kind of ‘Rakthpaat’ Mallikarjun Kharge has talked about in the parliament.

Condemning Congress for planning to spread anarchy and bloodshed in the country for their political gain, Patra demanded that none other than the Congress President Rahul Gandhi should hold a press conference to answer on the issue.

Indian Railways: The old and creaky behemoth is undergoing large-scale transformation at rapid pace

0

Indian Railways is world’s fourth largest train network but has traditionally been known for its delays, inefficiency and sloppy service levels. However, since the current NDA government taking over in 2014, this old and creaky behemoth is undergoing a large-scale transformation at a rapid pace.

Speed:

While HSR trains in Europe, Japan, and China run at 300+ km/hr, the fastest train in India (Shatabdi Express) still clocks a maximum of only 75 km/hr. The average speed of passenger trains in India is a shoddy 50 km/hr and freight trains run even slower at an average speed of 25 km/hr.

This is set to dramatically change with High-Speed-Rails (300+ km/hr), Semi-High-Speed trains (160+ km/hr) and Dedicated Freight Corridor.

First HSR (Bullet Trains) project on Mumbai–Ahmedabad route was launched in 2017. Currently, five more routes for connecting major Indian cities are at different stages of evaluation which will eventually create 10,000+ km of bullet train network across India.

In addition, Semi-High-Speed trains (Gatimaan Express and Tejas Express) have been launched in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Many more routes are planned to be covered by semi-high-speed trains shortly. Currently code-named as Train 18 and Train 20, these swanky trains are indigenously Made in India (at ICF, Chennai) with modern features like engine-less travel and zero discharge bio-vacuum toilets. Running at more than 160 km/hr, they will reduce travel time by 20% and will eventually replace Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains in India. Train 18 is planned to be launched before the end of 2018 and Train 20 by sometime in 2020.

Safety and Punctuality:

Currently, both passenger trains and freight trains share the same railway tracks. Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) project is constructing 3,300 km of Railway Tracks exclusively for goods trains. Once slow-moving freight trains are shifted to DFC, the tracks for passenger trains will be significantly de-congested, resulting in increased safety and punctuality. DFC will also enable double the freight train lengths, carrying 2.5 times the load to travel at three times the current speed (from 25 km/h to 75 km/hr). The first stretch of DFC is planned to be operational by end 2018 and full corridor by 2020.

Since 2018, the old signal system is being replaced by the new European Train Control System-2 (ETCS2) in phases. ETCS2 allows trains to run on the same track with a minimum distance of just 500 meters between them, which will increase track utilization, help to run trains at faster speeds and further reduce delays.

To increase safety, Railways has also started implementing Train Protection and Warning System (TPWS) on 3,330 km of tracks. This advanced accident prevention measure, under which trains are in constant communication with the signals through sensors installed on the track side, will be implemented in two phases over the next four years. It will reduce manual effort, increase train safety and prevent delays during foggy weather.

Quality of Service:

In 2017, Mumbai local got its first AC train 150 years after its inception. These modern coaches are made indigenously in Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.

Catering vendors in many trains have been given hand-held PoS machines for billing the passengers. This will prevent passengers being overcharged for food or vendors pocketing the money without issuing bill thus causing loss of revenue to railways.

Indian Railways has also partnered with Google to provide free high-speed Wi-Fi on all 8,500 stations across the country. As of March 2018, it is already available on 600 stations.

Environment and Cleanliness:

In 2017, Indian Railways also started using solar panels on rooftops of DEMU trains. These panels generate energy for train’s electrical systems like lights, fans, door operation, information display panels etc. Using solar energy on six carriages saves Railways around 21,000 litres of diesel every year while reducing the carbon signature by 54 tonnes per year.

In another appreciable initiative, Railways has installed 1,25,000 bio-toilets in train coaches. Jointly developed by the engineers of Indian Railways and DRDO, these are modern technology mechanisms which convert human waste into water and gases. This initiative will go a long way in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of railway tracks.

Skill creation for future:

Initially announced in 2014, India is also setting up its first “Rail University” in Vadodara, Gujarat. With a focus on R&D on modern railways, signalling, communication and transportation technology, this will be set up as a global university, open to 3,000 students from across the globe. With Pramath Sinha, founding dean of Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad as Chief Advisor for the project, the university is planned to start by 2018.

Indian Railways is transforming at a never before scale and is setting the ground for a much better customer experience in years to come.

Here is the possible repercussion of what Priyanka Chopra has done

Priyanka Chopra’s (now cancelled) Quantico invented the narrative of ‘Indian Nationalist terrorists’ attempting to give a bad name to our dear old, peaceful friend Pakistan by blowing up Americans in false flag terror operations in Manhattan. The imagined terrorists are depicted as visibly religious Hindus. Talk about a rich, famous Indian being of use to the nation and its immigrant population abroad in an atmosphere of general hostility and violence towards immigration from the third world!

A very important thing recommending Indians in the West is the overriding consensus that our majority Hindus do not engage in the wanton barbarism of the terrorist kind. What recommends them especially is their willingness to assimilate into respective cultures of the western world and not stick out like resentful anachronisms who throw the burden of acceptance entirely on to their liberal host nations by inordinately privileging and asserting their own religious, ethnic and cultural norms over those of their host nations. This partially might have reasons embedded in disparate economic profiles of the initial migrant cohorts from each ethnic and national group but it cannot be disputed on the whole that Indians as a whole actively blend in better in the West.

There’s a recent UK survey by YouGov shows that Britishers view Indian immigrant populations much more favourably compared to Pakistanis and Bangladeshis in the UK. This advantage must not be compromised in any manner since it benefits us as an emerging power with millions of skilled professionals seeking predictable and safe environments in western nations.

Now we have left-liberal politicians and actors injecting into popular consciousness in alien societies ludicrously imagined Hindu or Indian nationalist ‘terror’. We don’t need a rudraksha to be associated in any westerner’s head with terrorism just because a liberal Indian actor seemingly is fine with forcing an undesirable equality of outcome on Hindu Indians going through visa interviews and security checks at La Guardia or Heathrow. They probably do not care if Indians abroad have to endure suspicions just like Pakistanis on planes even though no Hindu nationalist is trying to blow up secular culture in France or dreaming of bathing the White House with Gangajal every day.

Radical Islamist terror actually has proud fanatics braying from the rooftops claiming responsibility for its beheadings and bombings and issuing threats against white liberal societies. We Indians, on the contrary, have famous, influential liberals talking about imagined ‘Hindu terror’ from political pulpits and tv screens for easy political and monetary gain and signaling virtue to a liberal elite (the Ben Afflecks and George Clooneys who guard a certain type of gate in Hollywood; some actors and editors in India) hell-bent on creating and enforcing their own values on everyone by policing economic opportunities available to junior peers and aspirants in their respective industries.

Priyanka Chopra is seen as representing India in Hollywood – a status she milks often for visibility and minority achiever accolades in national media in India and liberal media in the USA. She should also use that status responsibly to ensure her fellow Indians trying to find work abroad do not get tarred and suspected the same way Pakistanis and Yemenis, unfortunately, are.

Yogi Adityanath acts tough to suspend District Magistrates accused of corruption and illegal mining

District Magistrates (DM) appointed to the districts of Gonda and Fatehpur were suspended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, following allegations of illegal mining and financial irregularities against them:

As per a PTI report, CM Yogi took a serious note the irregularities to suspend the DM’s named Prashant Kumar and JB Singh. A News18 report also claims that there were allegations of corruption against these officials.

In Fatehpur, which was being officiated by Kumar, it was noted that there was an irregularity in wheat purchase. As per a food department inspection, there was zero wheat purchase from 13 May to 31 May for no cited reason. Thus the food commissioner ordered the lodging of FIRs against officials for not distributing tokens to farmers which affected the process.

The report claims that in Gonda too irregularities were found in the food distribution process, with the DM being found guilty of improper control over the process. Besides Singh, district supply officer Rajiv Kumar and district food marketing officer Ajay Vikram Singh too were suspended by the state administration.

An IANS report adds to the matter by claiming that, Gonda’s district magistrate was also punished for failing to control illegal mining in his region. The report also claims that IAS officer Balkar Singh accused of various irregularities, was removed from the post of Director Mining department and shifted to Disabled welfare.

The report quotes a close aide of the Chief Minister as saying that, Yogi is in no mood to go soft against those not following the government line and has also got the green signal from the party leadership to act tough.

Modi diplomacy: Days after PM’s visit, Malaysia puts Islamist preacher Zakir Naik on watch

Controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik will be subjected to Malaysia law considering he was awarded Permanent Resident (PR) status by the previous administration, Malay Mail reported the Malaysian Home Minister as saying. The Home Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, “I have been informed that Zakir Naik has been given PR by the previous administration. So the issue now, if he is a PR just like any of us here, we are still subject to the law.”

This statement comes days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Malaysia and his meeting with Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad in Putrajaya.

The Minister for Home Affairs went on to say, “If you do something that is not in accordance to the law, whether it involves the issue of religion, or crime, whatever it is, you cannot be spared. And if we find they are not in accordance with the law, whether it’s Zakir Naik or anybody for that matter, we will deal with it in a proper manner.”

Many have objected to his preaching and have asserted that a preacher like him does not belong in a multi-religious, multicultural society while demanding that he be expelled and declared persona non grata. Last year, it was reported that the NIA was moving to revoke his passport. In December 2017, it was reported that NIA was working to secure a provisional arrest for the radical Islamic preacher. The connection between Zakir Naik and the Congress party had also emerged with reports that said Naik’s Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) had made donations worth lakhs and lakhs of rupees to Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust of which Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are trustees. The IRF has been declared an unlawful organization by the Government of India as per a notification dated November 17, 2016.

‘Govt will change in 6 months’ : Prakash Ambedkar threatens TimesNow Senior Editor Anand Narasimhan on air

Hours after Times Now aired the exclusive expose on Congress’ possible involvement in the Bhima Koregaon violence, Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh’s leader Prakash Ambedkar has issued open threats to the channel’s senior editor Anand Narasimhan.

In the video aired by Times Now, Prakash Ambedkar, who is the grandson of BR Ambedkar, is seen hurling abuses and issuing threats to Anand Narasimhan. Ambedkar first warns to stop ‘these ongoing thing’ meaning the channel’s report regarding the explosive letter that was accessed by them and threatens Anand using foul language that the government will change in 6 months and then he can harm Anand.

Times Now had yesterday aired a long exclusive report on a letter accessed by them. The letter, allegedly written by a Maoist activist to Rona Wilson, stated that Congress senior leadership will provide all the legal and financial help to exploit the Dalit-Bramhin divide and instigate ‘chaos’ all across the country to stop the Modi Juggernaut in 2019.

The letter hailed Jignesh Mewani, Umar Khalid as ‘young fighters’ and allegedly added that with the help of Prakash Ambedkar, the trio will help to consolidate Dalit struggles all across the country in a few years. The letter had also stated about using the death of a young man to exploit their agenda of violence further.

The letter was allegedly seized by the Maharashtra Police among the documents and laptops/mobiles seized from Rona Wilson’s house. The letter was dated 2nd January and the police reportedly believe that it is an appreciation letter after orchestration of Bhima Koregaon Violence the day before.

Rona Wilson, Surendra Gadling, Sudhir Dhawle, Professor Shoma Sen and Mahesh Raut were arrested by Maharashtra Police yesterday with alleged links to the Bhima Koregaon violence. All of them are accused of having links to Maoists.
