Congress dismisses assassination threat to PM Modi by calling it ‘old tactic’

In a shocking revelation, Pune police have stated that a letter found by them suggested plans to assassinate PM Modi in a ‘Rajiv Gandhi’ type incident. This has been revealed after news reports came yesterday that a letter written to Rona Wilson unmasked an alleged Congress-Maoist nexus to spread caste-based violence in the country.

The said letter reportedly stated about arranging funds of about Rs 8 crores for procurement of M-4 rifles and 4 lakh rounds to target one of PM Modi’s road shows. Even as the news has generated shock all over the country, some people are busy dissing it as a mere propaganda. From downplaying the threat to blaming the PM himself, these people have displayed that they play by double standards.

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, who had just 2 days back expressed his fears of being ‘stalked’ by the Mumbai Police, has stated today that the assassination threat on PM Modi is probably a tactic by the PM to address his ‘declining popularity’.

Sitaram Yechury, who is usually very vocal on the democracy being supposedly in danger, also chose to ignore the issue and refused to condemn the threat on the life of a democratically elected Prime Minister.

Interestingly, Ravish Kumar, Rana Ayub, and Barkha Dutt herself, who were claiming that they are being harassed and are receiving death threats are maintaining absolute silence over the issue too. Many media persons and opinion makers on social media who outraged a lot on Twitter over alleged threats to Burkha Dutt did not even post a reaction on Times Now’s Anand Narasimhan getting threatened by Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh’s Prakash Ambedkar either.

NDTV circulates morphed picture of Pranab Mukherjee tweeted by ‘Congress IT Cell member’

Former President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday, was in Nagpur to address the RSS cadre on the occasion of the final leg of three-year training programme called the ‘Tritiya Varsh Varg’. While the Congress party has already displayed immense displeasure at Pranab Mukherjee’s presence at Nagpur, the “liberals” and “journalists” who talk constantly about freedom of expression, democratic values and the virtue of neutrality experienced a Twitter meltdown.

The meltdown, however, was not just limited to Twitter as channels like NDTV also threw editorial caution to the wind. While op-eds starting pouring in, some talking about how Pranab Mukherjee had delivered a fictitious blow to RSS and others talking about the usual humbug of RSS being fascist, NDTV ran an opinion piece by Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, who has often been caught making condescending, ludicrous and anti-India statements.

While the contents of the article were nothing novel and consisted of the usual drone, what was interesting is that NDTV decided to publish that article with a morphed, fake picture of former President Pranab Mukherjee at the RSS event.

In the real picture, one can see that Pranab Mukherjee is neither wearing the black cap or doing the RSS salute.

NDTV, in the fake picture they used, mentioned who they had sourced the picture from.

When one visits the Twitter handle mentioned, one realises that @RuchirSharmaINC is a Congress IT Cell member who is also the Vice President of Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress and Haryana IT Cell’s state in charge.

It is amusing to note that even Ruchi Sharma had shared the pic calling it ‘fake’ yet NDTV thought to carry it without clarifying that it was fake or cross-checking whether the image being used was authentic or not. NDTV has, however, now changed the picture.

While nobody expects great editorial standards from NDTV, which has often been caught lying and twisting facts to suit their own agenda, one can at least expect the channel to confirm such basic facts.

Madhya Pradesh welcomes Hardik Patel with eggs and sandals, seven people arrested

The newest wrinkle in our country nowadays is to blame anything and everything on Modi. The trajectory of the present government makes opposition believe that the smallest and the most ridiculous things happening around are all because of Modi. This time too, history seems to be repeating itself as Patidar quota agitation leader Hardik Patel blames the state government, as unidentified persons allegedly threw eggs and slippers at his car on Thursday during his visit to Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Seven people were arrested on this behalf.

Patel was here to participate in a meeting of Kisan Kranti Sena, which he heads, in the run-up to the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh which are due by this year-end. This was the second attack on Patel’s cavalcade in the day.

Speaking to media, he blamed CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan for the attacks. The Patidar leader tweeted, “Farmers are working hard, but they are not getting better price of their produce. The youth are not getting jobs,” he said. “Shivraj Mama’s supporters in MP’s Jabalpur welcomed us with eggs while I was on my way to Panagar and escaped. Mama Shivraj, eggs won’t be able to stop me. Fire bullets from guns. As long as there is blood in me, my struggle will continue.”

Congress leader Sanjay Yadav alleged that the protestors were also brandishing a revolver. He claimed that the police officials did not give adequate security to Hardik and even refused to register an FIR pertaining to this case.

Hardik Patel, who rose to prominence over agitation demanding reservation for Patidar community in 2015 has time and again tried to be in the news, be it by resorting to anti-Modi campaigning or for being booked by the Crime Branch on sedition charges after the large-scale violence in Gujrat in 2015 seeking reservation for Patidars.

Lately, the Congress and rest of the opposition are singling out the farmer protest, trying to use it as a weapon against the government trying to cash in on the anti-BJP sentiments to dislodge the saffron party. The farmers are asking for government support to address the crisis in a sector that employs the majority of the country’s workforce, while the opposition is busy politicising the issue to meet their ulterior motives.

Fact Check: Has Yogi govt really imposed a GST on Sunday Church offerings as claimed on Social Media

A clipping of Times of India’s front page is doing the rounds on Social Media at least since Friday morning, where one snippet claims that the BJP led Uttar Pradesh government has imposed a 6 per cent GST on the donations collected by the Church during their Sunday mass offerings:

As seen above the snipped claimed that a new law has been passed in Uttar Pradesh, where Sunday church offerings are going to be liable for a 6 per cent GST.

Fact Check: Has Yogi govt really imposed a GST on Sunday Church offerings as claimed on Social Media
Facebook posts which shared the said image

This image seems to be going viral, which can be gauged by the fact that our source received it via a messaging service and a Facebook group where the sender was seen questioning the Christian MLAs:

Apart from this, various public posts on Facebook too heavily criticised the BJP government by quoting the image:

Fact Check: Has Yogi govt really imposed a GST on Sunday Church offerings as claimed on Social Media
Facebook posts which shared the said image

So has the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government indeed passed such a law, which might displease practising Christians? Lets find out.

One of the first signs of inaccuracies is the lack of even texturing between the GST news and the rest of the newspaper, with the backgrounds being of different shades grey and white. On top of it the news exposes itself as inaccurate owing to the claim that a “6 per cent GST” has been imposed by the UP government.

This is owing to India currently not having have any GST slab of 6 per cent, with existing slabs being 5 per cent, 12 per cent, 18 per cent and 28 per cent.

Further the snippet claims that the law has been recently passed by the BJP government, but the front page though was published by the newspaper back in 2010. This can be proven by the fact that one of the headlines on that page is, “Won’t accept Amar’s resignation: Mulayam“:

Front page of Times of India being circulated on Social Media
Front page of Times of India being circulated on Social Media

This was reported by the Times of India in January 2010:

Front page of Times of India being circulated on Social Media
TOI news report from 2010

On top of it another headline reported that cricketer Zaheer Khan was leading an impressive bowling performance in Dhaka, which proves that the front page is indeed old as Khan retired from international cricket in 2015.

Also to be doubly sure we ran a Google News Search with the keywords “GST Church Offerings UP” to ascertain where any media house has indeed reported such a news:

Fact Check: Has Yogi govt really imposed a GST on Sunday Church offerings as claimed on Social Media
Google Search about GST church news

As seen above no media house has reported such a news.

This raises the question as to who is responsible for floating such morphed images on social media, which was then spread by gullible and angry Christians?

What makes things more perplexing is the fact that this morphed image is being spread just days after the Goa Archbishop launched an indirect but scathing attack on the Modi government, by claiming that the Indian constitution was in danger.

Incidentally TOI was recently a victim of another such image doctoring, when mischievous elements had spread a malicious headline to discredit a meeting between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Supreme Court objects to disqualified MP Sharad Yadav drawing salary and perks from taxpayers’ money

The Supreme Court has stated that disqualified MP Sharad Yadav cannot draw salary and perks entitled to a member of Parliament. According to reports, the apex court has, however, allowed him to retain the official residence till the pendency of the plea challenging his disqualification.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had passed an interim order which stated that Yadav can draw salary, allowances and perks till the pendency of his plea but JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Ramachandra Prasad Singh moved to the Supreme Court with a plea challenging the Delhi High Court order.

The Supreme Court, taking cognisance of the plea heard the matter and a vacation bench of justices AK Goel and Ashok Bhushan reportedly wondered how could the Delhi HC allow Yadav to draw salary, perks and allowances on public money.

Following the SC bench’s observation. Yadav’s lawyer reportedly pleaded the bench that Yadav is ready to forgo the salary and perks. He requested the court to allow Yadav to retain his residence. The vacation bench reportedly agreed on that. According to reports, the bench stated that they will modify the HC’s order directing payment of salary, perks and allowances but they will not object to Yadav retaining his official residence till the pendency of his plea.

Sharad Yadav was disqualified as a Rajya Sabha MP by the Rajya Sabha chairman on December 4, 2017. Yadav and another Rajya Sabha MP Ali Anwar were disqualified under the anti-defection laws after JD(U) MP Ramachandra Singh complained that they had attended the rallies of opposition parties in violation to party directives.

India’s transformation under Modi and its implications

The growth in the Indian economy has attracted a lot of attention. India has emerged as the fasted growing large economy, pipping China. It is expected to clock a GDP growth rate higher than 7.2% in 2018. Many international agencies that monitor key economies around the world have been sanguine in their projections on India.

A recent study published by UK based Center for Economic and Business Research (CEBR) states that India’s consistent GDP growth rate will push it to prominence in 2018. It has forecast that India will join the elite group of the top five largest economies of the world. This is a full year ahead of projections by International Monetary Fund (IMF) that India will make it to the top five in 2019.

India’s rise in global prominence has not come easy. In the last four years, Prime Minister Modi’s government has put in an unbelievable number of policy reforms and public investments in hundreds of projects that have borne fruit. This smorgasbord of reforms and investments have deeply impacted key sectors of agriculture, manufacturing, and services like never before. The gamut of initiatives – many of which have longer gestation periods – will continue to deliver results over an extended time horizon.

A dispassionate analysis throws up three key pillars that have provided the bulwark for the emergence of the economy. Firstly, Prime Minister Modi, shedding ideological baggage, has incorporated best practices in economic management that are pragmatic and more importantly, well suited for the country. This is indeed refreshing since for many decades India was hamstrung by ill-advised ideological paradigms that only resulted in poor growth rates and endemic poverty.

Secondly and more importantly, we are witness to an unparalleled excellence in executing these economic reforms and policies. Modi’s personal leadership qualities – acquired mostly as Chief Minister of Gujarat where he virtually passed through a ring of fire  – have played an important role. The recent inauguration (May 2018) of the smart Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) is but one example of this mastery over execution. Built at a cost of Rs.11,000 crore in Delhi, this 135 KM long solar power lit expressway was completed in 18 months.

Thirdly, and most notably, the government has ensured that, at least at the political level, there is no corruption, pilferage or fraud. These have been the core secrets of the swift economic transformation we see today. It is well known that India’s track record in delivering government services, particularly welfare benefits to the poor has been dismal. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is on record saying that for every rupee the government spent on welfare only 15% actually reached the beneficiary.

But Modi had stopped all that by directly transferring benefits to beneficiary’s bank account. According to data published by the government, welfare benefits of Rs.3,65,996 crores were directly transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts in the last four years (www.narendramodi.in). This is an example of Modi choosing the appropriate service delivery vehicle and executing it well in a given time fame.

Modi’s developmental paradigm and governance strategy are built around these three pillars. Hence his schemes and initiatives, just to name a few – GST, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), recapitalization of public sector banks, unprecedented investments in national highways and railways, 100% electrification, transfer of welfare benefits directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts –  are runaway successes.

What is even more striking is the fact that the government has used existing laws, existing civil and administrative machinery, existing staff and officers to execute its vast number of projects. The same machinery has in many cases achieved the project objectives ahead of schedule without cost overruns.

Like all previous governments, Modi too had the low-risk option of choosing reforms on a smaller scale that does not tend to rock the boat. But these changes would have yielded only incremental results or benefits that would have continued to keep India hostage to a pernicious low growth cycle, depriving huge sections of society a decent livelihood. But Modi apparently has taken a calculated risk and has instead, boldly opted to choose the transformation route, a high-risk option, to achieve big results in as diverse areas as possible. The gamble, as seen from the optimistic projections by international institutions, seems to have paid off.

Many compare Modi’s transformation exercise to the reforms of 1991 initiated by the then Prime Minister Narasimha Rao. Rao’s reforms were no doubt extremely critical for India then but were more in the nature of a rescue mission. They were focused on deregulation and attracting foreign direct investments to shore up dangerously low levels of forex reserves. They were incremental and definitely on a smaller scale in comparison.

As already pointed out, Modi’s reforms are transformational. Further his efforts must be seen as part of a master plan that includes securing India from internal and external threats as well as forging bilateral ties with various countries around the world to deepen India’s trade and commerce. The truth is that both Rao and Modi have succeeded in untethering the native economic sinews of the country.

Despite the din, distorted and mostly negative reporting in the media, Modi’s developmental agenda has the backing of large sections of society. For them, the economic resurgence passes the smell test, at least anecdotally. For instance, in high growth states like Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, there is a noticeable absence of beggars on the streets or on railway platforms. Long gone are the days when people could not afford footwear or wore torn clothes. The so-called ‘trickle down’ effect which was a just a dribble for several decades, now seems to be drenching vast sections of poor people. Of course, this is not to gainsay the fact that poverty continues to pervade vast sections of society in many states.

The economic survey for 2018 has highlighted the strengths of the economy. But it has also warned of potential risks and threats to the economy, both internal and external that need to be carefully watched. However, the good news is that key statistics and relevant data point to continued robust growth in the economy. Modi’s biggest achievement seems to be the setting up of right the ecosystem via a conducive policy environment, infrastructure building and massive public investments that have since unleashed the economy.

The silent changes that are sweeping across the country– mostly at the lowest levels of the economy – are creating a huge impact on the very fabric of India – economically, politically and socially. The enthusiasm and expectations of the people – particularly the under 35 demographic segment that forms over 60% of India – seem to be scaling up.

The clamour for corruption-free and swift delivery of government services – be it provision of electricity, sanitation, public health services or any service for that matter – is ratcheting up. While citizen experience is positive, this may not be a welcome change for the political ecosystem in India.

Modi’s iron will and mastery of execution are unmatched across the whole political spectrum in India today. He has given India a new mantra to the political class- perform or perish. He has set the bar for performance high enough that many in the current political scene may not be able to achieve. This probably explains the collective hatred seen for Modi among his political opponents and their proxies. But the impact of Modi’s transformations will continue to reverberate for years to come.

Nirmala Sitharaman punctures propaganda about soldiers having to buy their own uniform

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has refuted media reports claiming shortage of funds to procure Army uniform. Economic Times on Tuesday had reported that Indian Army has drastically cut down the supplies from state-owned Ordnance factories to ensure that the money saved from there could be used to procure stock for critical ammunition and spares for a short intense war. Referring to the article as ‘inadequately researched’, Defence Ministry clarified that the media report ‘misrepresented’ the decision of the 7th Pay Commission regarding purchase of uniform.

Sitharaman said, that as per the 7th Pay Commission, the jawans should be given monetary compensation for the purchase of personal clothing items of the uniform which will be purchased under the agreement made by the Army. Which means, while earlier the jawans got uniforms from the army, they will now receive Rs. 10,000 per year to buy uniform on their own. They could buy material from authorized outlets and get them stitched according to authorized specifications.

Defence Ministry press release on Army uniform.

In a statement, the Army said that these provisions are also applicable to Central Armed Police Forces, and hence it would be inappropriate to single out the Army. According to the ministry of finance office memo dated 2nd August 2017, the rules regarding supply of uniforms were changed, whereby various kinds of allowances regarding dress and maintenance were merged into one consolidated ‘Dress Allowance’ which is to be paid annually.

In fact, the reports regarding cutting down of supplies from Ordnance Factories (OF) is also misleading. Letter issued by the ministry of defence from April last year shows the true picture.

Letter for Ordnance Factory supply

The letter states that as per recommendations of two committees, constituted for increasing operational efficiency for OF, the OF can now float open tenders to procure non-core items. Curtailing expenditure has got nothing to do with paucity of funds, but it is to improve quality by competitive bidding.

The misleading report was widely circulated by prominent leaders like Congress President Rahul Gandhi, taking a dig on Prime Minister Modi’s Make In India campaign.

Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, too, shared the misleading information multiple times.

He even retweeted tweets by AAP supporter Dhruv Rathee, who is known for spreading unverified and fake news.

Kejriwal retweeting misleading news

Kejriwal didn’t stop there. He even called those who ‘took the decision’, anti-national.

Not surprisingly, after being instrumental in spreading misleading news, none of them have issued the clarification.

Is Pakistan planning another terrorist attack on Amarnath Yatra?

Indian intelligence agencies have warned that at least 450 trained terrorists are waiting at several launch pads near PoK side of the border to infiltrate into India. According to reports, the intelligence agencies have recently warned the central government that these terrorists are planning to attach the Amarnath Yatras, which commence from late June.

Reports state that according to the intelligence gathered by Indian agencies, these terrorists have been stationed thereby Pakistan backed terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Inputs state that these terrorists are stationed at 11 launch pads namely Kel, Shardi, Athmuqam, Dudhnial, Pachhiban, Leepa, Jura, Nyali, Thandapani, Lanjote and Nikail inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. These terrorists are believed to have been trained by the Pakistani army in Nyali.

61 of the terrorists reportedly belong to LeT and were trained in Jura by the Pakistan Army to be part of its Border Action Team (BAT). Several Fidayeen (suicide attackers) are also believed to be in the group.

The intelligence agencies reportedly warned that the suspension of anti-terror operations by the Indian Army has given these terrorists ample time to terror outfits to recruit and regroup. They have reported after the 2016 surgical strikes, this is the first time such heightened activity is being witnessed in the cross-border launch pads. The presence of SSG (Special Security Group) in and around these launch pads also aides to the idea that the terrorists are being trained and aided by Pakistan Army. According to a report in Zee Media, the intelligence report also gave an estimated number of terrorists present in these launch pads. They are listed as per their respective sector on the Indian side as follows:

Gurez – 20 terrorists

Machhil – 50 terrorists

Keran – 55 terrorists with Pakistan’s BAT

Tangdhar – 65 terrorists belonging to LeT and JeM

Naugam – 7 terrorists

Uri – 50 terrorists

Poonch – 35 terrorists

Bhimber Gali- 120 terrorists with BAT

Naushera – 30 terrorists

Rampur – 30 terrorists

The intelligence warning has come just when Home Minister Rajnath Singh is on a visit to Srinagar and is currently holding talks with the state government over the possible extension of the suspension of anti-terror ops in the Kashmir region. It is also notable here that in recent days, after the suspension of anti-terror ops have been announced, the attacks on security forces by local stone pelting jihadis have also increased. There were also several grenade attacks recently. Almost a dozen people including several civilians were injured in the grenade attack this week. Last year 7 Hindu pilgrims were killed and a dozen more were injured when Islamist terrorists had opened fire on a bus during the Amarnath Yatra.

Maoists planning assassination of Modi? Letters hint at a ‘Rajiv Gandhi type incident’ being planned

In a shocking revelation, as per reports, a letter unearthed by Pune Police suggests plans to assassinate Prime Minister Modi in a “Rajiv Gandhi type incident” by “targeting road shows”.  The police has sought custody for the five people arrested and booked them under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Without naming Modi, public prosecutor Ujjwala Pawar told the court that the email talked about “another Rajiv Gandhi type incident”. Pawar also submitted a letter which the police claims to have recovered from the laptops of those arrested.

The letter further mentions an alleged nexus between Maoists, the Congress, Gujarat Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani, who is accused of inciting mob to take to violence during Bhima-Koregaon rally, JNU ‘student’ leader Umar Khalid, who has been indicted for sedition, and Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar, who issues open threats to journalists, claiming that Maoist funding was behind the Bhima-Koregaon riots that took place earlier this year.

Police arrested Delhi based activist Rona Wilson, advocate Surendra Gadling, professor Shoma Sen and Mahesh Raut from Nagpur and Mumbai’s Sudhir Dhavle in connection with ‘Elgar Parishad’ held in Pune in December and the subsequent Bhima-Koregaon riots in the district. According to Police, a letter found in Wilson’s house talks about requirement of Rs 8 crore to procure M-4 rifle and four lakh rounds other than the ‘incident’. Quoting the letter, Pawar quoted the letter which said, ‘We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi incident. It sounds suicidal and there is a chance that we might fail but party must deliberate on our proposal.’

Quoting another letter allegedly seized from Wilson’s house, she said, ‘The higher Committee has appreciated the endearing efforts of all urban comrades for the specific tasks given to them… There is a lot of ground to be covered. Comrade Mangalu and Deepu have been coordinating the Koregaon programme (for) last two months with Comrade Sudhir. They have been able to gather support from the larger sections of Dalits across the state,’ suggesting the riots could have been scripted. A letter seized allegedly also lauds Rona Wilson for the success of Elgar Parishad and called for Dalit agitations to be organised in other BJP-ruled states to dent the party’s prospects in the 2019 elections.

Earlier, too, many journalists and others had wished to see Prime Minister Modi dead. We have earlier seen how an NDTV journalist was ‘excited’ when Narendra Modi had caught swine flu, how a Times Now journalist waited for Modi to be assassinated, and how another columnist with The Quint wanted Modi to be shot dead. A columnist at Editors Guild of India President Shekhar Gupta’s website has also wished for Modi’s assassination. Minute-made celebrity Gurmehar Kaur’s mentor, too, has rooted for PM’s assassination.

Liberals have a meltdown as Pranab Mukherjee hails RSS founder Hedgewar as ‘great son of India’

Former President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday visited the birthplace of Kehsav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and hailed him as “a great son of Mother India”. The Congress leader is in Nagpur to address the RSS cadre on the occasion of the final leg of three-year training programme called the ‘Tritiya Varsh Varg’.

Mukherjee wrote “Today I came here to pay my respect and homage to a great son of Mother India,” in the visitor’s book ahead of his speech at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

While the Congress party has already displayed immense displeasure at Pranab Mukherjee’s presence at Nagpur, the “liberals” and “journalists” who talk constantly about freedom of expression, democratic values and the virtue of neutrality experienced a Twitter meltdown.

Ramchandra Guha, who is known to be a Nehru worshipper and a propagandist par excellence lamented how the Nagpur ‘show’ must be a torture for Pranab Mukherjee.

A neutral journalist with ‘The Hindu’ displayed his neutrality by terming the former president as a ‘rogue’. He lamented that the Congress party “tolerated” him for so long. The journalist who constantly talks about Modi ruining the economy perhaps didn’t realise that in his love for Congress, he ended up ruining their narrative of the Congress government handing over a thriving economy to the BJP government.

The poor man’s Barkha Dutt strikes again! Nidhi Razdan is famous for conducting entire debates on fake news and getting called out on social media, also spoke about how RSS should take this opportunity to engage with people of different political ideology without realising that it was what RSS was doing and exactly what her meltdown was all about.

Siddarth Varadarajan, the paragon of neutral virtues, Editor of the leftist propaganda website and the man who shelved the Vadra scam expose for 7 long months tweeted about the tragedy of Pranab Mukherjee’s speech being telecast live. Of course, he wrapped his bigotry up neatly with concerns of “taxpayers money”, which clearly wasn’t a concern for his colleague and co-founder who got lakhs from state-funded Rajya Sabha TV and featured prominently in Radia Tapes.

Nikhil Wagle, who has been caught lying and was exposed by a fellow journalist went on an unhinged rant and blamed Mukherjee for the publicity that RSS was getting because of him.

Shekhar Gupta, Editor of the often-caught-lying portal ‘The Print’ and inventor of the famous “coup” story tweeted about RSS needing to progress with the times. The hate that had consumed most of the liberal ecosystem, including him, stopped him from making complete sense.

The liberal meltdown also prompted some astute observations as to the hypocrisy of the “liberals” and Rahul Gandhi’s Congress party.

Rahul Kanwal, a journalist with India Today observed that the ones who were screaming the loudest about tolerance, are the ones displaying intolerance about Mukherjee’s Nagpur visit.

Rahul Roushan tweeted about how the Islamisation of Congress was complete where Pranab Mukherjee was being ousted as an apostate.

And, of course, some couldn’t resist plugging the famous interview, where much to everyone’s joy, Pranab Mukherjee was put Rajdeep Sardesai in his place for repeated interruptions.

One can assume that the nervous breakdown is only about to get worse as the 2019 elections draw closer.
