Clear Congress strategy: Get Muslim votes, armtwist local dynasts into yielding seats and try to add a small percentage of Hindu votes using Left propaganda

Congress’s strategy is becoming clear. The scary implications for India are not likely to be felt in 2024 but who knows what can happen by 2029?

Events of the past few weeks have made the grand game plan clear to us. The TLDR version is this: get a firm lock on minority (read Muslim) votes. Use that as a lever to force other dynasts into yielding seats. Try adding a percentage of Hindu votes using the leftist propaganda ecosystem and blatant lies.

You may recall Akhilesh Yadav’s original unilateral offer of 11 seats to Congress. And this was hardly a month ago. You could say it was all part of the usual drama that all parties and alliances do. But it was less than half of what Congress was expecting. Yadav had also made a lot of anti-Congress noises and mocking remarks about caste census etc., in the past, especially after the MP polls.

Then a set of interesting events unfolded. The President of All India Muslim Jamaat, a Barelvi Sunni outfit, Maulana Shahbuddin Rizvi, wrote a letter with two interesting remarks.

  • That 98% of the Muslims voted SP in 2022 polls
  • SP is not giving enough seats to Congress for 2024 GE, thereby strengthening the BJP.

Arfa Khanum Sherwani, a Wire “journalist” of the “Ideology hasn’t changed, strategy has” fame pitched in with her “activism” too. Doing even better than the Maulana, she said “Samajwadi Party which received almost all of Muslim votes in the last assembly elections in UP decided not to nominate even a single Muslim out of three seats in the Rajya Sabha”.

Clearly, the pressure was on Akhilesh Yadav from the ecosystem. If you need our continued 98-100% support, give in. If not, lose our votes. I have picked two examples, but you can come across several others that fit the pattern. He caved in, offering 17. Time will tell how many Congress will win.

The same trick will be repeated in states where it will work given the demographics and state of play.

The most interesting thing about these two remarks, made by people who know India’s politics and their community fairly well, is this. If anyone outside the left-Islamist ecosystem says Muslims vote as a block or in unison, they are bigots, Sanghis, and anti-Muslims. “Experts” then cite “statistics” to show that like everyone else, Muslims too vote in complex ways. If you think about it, this is exactly how the temple destruction of Islamist era was handled. Leftists and their army of historians will deny it happened and the Islamists will brag about it and threaten more the same. Here we have Islamists bragging that practically everyone voted for one party and demanding their pound of flesh, while leftists will provide cover fire to deny it ever happened.

Be that as it may, let us turn to the other implication of this. Through his consistent anti-Hindu, pro-Muslim rhetoric and divisive, communal politics, Congress under Rahul Gandhi (or shall we say Sitaram Yechuri), has obtained a firm lock on Muslim votes. Or it thinks it has. Now the trick is to fool enough Hindus into voting for them on freebies, false promises, usual divide and rule caste tricks, and generous help from George Soros, extended Stalinist left propaganda ecosystem.

This “vote bank” is now being used to squeeze and literally blackmail other dynasts into yielding seats or risk losing their main support plank and fall into the abyss. As I have mentioned earlier, most regional dynasts are happy with the takings in their own states and have no major national ambitions. They know their aukat. To lose even that would be an existential crisis. Throwing away a few more seats for the GE is no big deal.

It will be interesting to see if TMC under Mamata Banerjee will be immune to this or will also fall in line. She owns the minority vote there and in many ways is a pioneer. To be fair to her she has not been overt with her hatred towards Hinduism unlike Rahul and some of his minions. She just corrals the minorities into a safe vote bank and does it well. Depends on what she thinks the minorities will do – stick to her or switch sides to Congress. If she suspects the latter, she will also quietly surrender, as Akhilesh did. Because a mass migration to the CONLEFT continuum will essentially finish her career. This is more so after the horrendous Sandeshkali incidents.

This too clever by half play with nothing but the resumption of the UPA loot era as the goal and scorched earth as a tactic if it fails, is obviously dangerous for the nation and has already resulted in counter polarisation and increased communalisation of the public space. Even if it succeeds, it can only result in blatantly Hinduphobic policies of the sort we are seeing in Congress states and increased demands for religion-based concessions. A recipe for disaster. But let us set that aside to look at electoral possibilities.

For the May 2024 polls, chances are the Modi wave will carry BJP through even if it takes a hit here or there. Of course, anything can happen but you could say this is the consensus of the day. But what about longer-term prospects? After all, Rahul Gandhi is two decades younger than Modi. Are we doomed?

I can only see a few things that can potentially defeat this devious game plan of the shehzade.

One is, Muslims, at least a significant percentage of them, see through the game and wake up. I have said this before – they have been taken for fools and their interests are exactly the same as everyone else’s. Modi is delivering on them at a rate much faster than others. Plus they don’t have the same agenda as the Stalinist left and some corrupt dynasts – the complete destruction of Hinduism. Their goals are more pragmatic and utilitarian. I find the comments made by Hasan Suroor in his most recent article interesting – they confirm what I suspected. Modi’s pasmanda outreach, if followed through by RSS and others at the ground level can accelerate this process. I sincerely hope they do. Because the other option, listed below, is far worse. If they pull it off, all bets are off and Dynasts will have no leg to stand on. It will be impossible to reverse course – they have paddled too far up the hate-Hindu-cheat Muslim creek.

Second is, that someone with a national mindshare presence, similar ambitions, and age on his side beats Rahul Gandhi at his own game by doing it slightly better. Yes, I am talking about Kejriwal here. If you notice the recent seat-sharing drama, Yugpurush has been cleverly leveraging his current strength to add to the kitty in states where he thinks he has a future. And clearly using Congress as the useful idiots that will enable the same. He also knows the media ecosystem is controlled by the CONLEFT continuum and he has no way of replicating that. His every move is a play on his strength and a step to add more to it. My past articles will make clear I hold no briefs for this anarchist charlatan but the point here is he has a chance.

The third is of course, more of what has already been happening – counter-polarisation to a point where this tactic completely loses all relevance. The shrill noise from the left ecosystem and the visceral anti-Modi hate shown by the Polpotist left’s activist cabal and the keenness to divide on caste and regional lines reflects this fear. Although arithmetic is different in each constituency, overall if say, 60% of 80% decide to vote one way, the rest don’t really matter. Given the concentration of Muslim voters in select pockets this actually works in even more simple ways – you don’t even need 60% – 50% of 90% would be good enough! Obviously, this makes the hill harder to climb where Hindus are only 50% or less, but those are not many, at least not as yet. BJP’s inroads into the Christian community both in Goa and Kerala as well as North East will help matters here.

The fourth of course is that Congress, under Rahul or some other leader, say Priyanka, sees the foolishness of this and reverses course. As I mentioned briefly they have paddled too far up the creek to do that. The derision which greets Rahul’s temple runs in social media is a pointer. And his instruction to the priest not to apply too big a tilak and his body language – that of a clearly unwilling person dragging himself into the temple with an angry face and arms behind his back, for the sake of ticking a box – clearly doesn’t help. Furthermore, the minority community, as shown clearly by Arfa and the Barelvi Mullah cited earlier, thinks it has put in all its work already and wants to see dividends. Even if they do, the hardcore fringe leftists with their own anti-Hindu pogrom agenda, that have been backing the dynasty project will not let them – they control the purse strings as well as the media and academia. Why would Cambridge bother to invite Shehzade to lecture?!

Let us watch the space.

“Congress Yuvraj says youth of Kashi and UP are nashedi”: PM Modi slams Rahul Gandhi for ‘drunken youth’ remark

0

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his ‘drunken youth’ remark and said that he was “shocked” upon hearing the term ‘nashedi’ used to describe the youth of Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing the inauguration event of several projects in Varanasi, PM Modi without mentioning Rahul Gandhi’s name, noted that the prince of the Congress family referred to UP’s youth as ‘nashedi’.

“The ‘yuvraj’ of Congress ‘shahi-parivar’ has called the youth of Kashi and UP ‘nashedi’. What kind of language is this? They have spent two decades abusing Modi, and now they (Congress) are venting out their frustration on the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Jinke aapne hosh thhikane nahi hai, wo UP ke, mere kashi ke bachcho ko nashedi keh rahe hai (those who are not in their senses are calling UP’s youth addicts),” the Prime Minister said.

He further said that the youth of Uttar Pradesh are busy building a developed state.

“Now that Uttar Pradesh is progressing, the ‘yuvraj’ of the Congress family said that the youth of Uttar Pradesh are addicts. The youth of UP are busy in building a developed state,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi said adding that no one will forget this insult of the youth by the INDI alliance.

“A person who belongs to a dynasty is always threatened by the common youth force. They only like those who always praise them. And now they have another reason to not like Uttar Pradesh after Ram Mandir’s inauguration. I did not know Congress had so much hatred towards Lord Ram. They can’t see or think beyond their family and vote bank,” he added.

Earlier on February 20, in a veiled swipe at PM Modi, who represents Varanasi in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi claimed that during his visit to the temple town as a part of the ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay yatra, he saw people lying drunk on roads.

Addressing the public in Amethi, Wayanad MP said the youths of Uttar Pradesh were on a ‘trip’ after boozing by night.

“I went to Varanasi and I saw people lying on roads drunk. The youths of Uttar Pradesh are on a trip after consuming liquor by night. On the other hand, there is the Ram Mandir which is only visited by the likes of PM Modi, Ambani and Adani. You will see all our billionaires there but not a single person from a backward class or the Dalit community,” Rahul said.

“Your place is only limited to roads for begging while they (Centre’s alleged corporate cronies) keep minting money,” he added.

The Varanasi constituency has seen a huge influx of funds from the Centre and state government and is also a part of the Smart City mission, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 25, 2015.

‘I was sidelined for supporting Prime Minister Modi’, says film director Madhur Bhandarkar

On Friday (23rd February), film directors Madhur Bhandarkar, Vipul Shah and Leena Yadav came together in a session at ABP Network’s annual summit ‘Idea of India’. They discussed on the topic ‘Are films dividing us or uniting us?’. During this interaction, Madhur Bhandarkar said that he was sidelined for supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah also expressed their opinion about the Ram Mandir.

Madhur Bhandarkar said, “I made films like Chandni Bar and Traffic Signal. I showed a lot of poverty and related issues. I have a very secular personality. I am friends with people of all religions. Suddenly in 2014, I openly supported Mr Narendra Modi for the post of PM. Suddenly they sidelined me overnight. I got abused. I used to feel good when I used to make films. I go everywhere, Haji Ali, Ajmer Sharif. I am a proud Hindu. But when I supported him, I was suddenly considered as a communal.”

He added, “What is communal in Ram Mandir? When I attended the iftar party, no one spoke about that. When someone goes to the Ram Mandir, the faith in the country, then you should not look at it from that point of view. Those who were invited went there. I went to the Dubai temple for consecration. Now people have become selective. People have to see how everyone’s point of view is different in the industry. People often call them a ‘Bhakt’ whose point of view is not suitable to them.”

During a conversation at the Ideas of India summit, Madhur Bhandarkar said that when he was making the film Indu Sarkar, he talked to many big actors. But they were avoiding working in this film because of the political topic. He said that they understand their economic and social responsibilities very well. The director said that if he leans towards any political party, he may have to face trolling on Twitter because of it.

Vipul Shah said during this discussion, “If I go somewhere for my religion, I am communal, what a ridiculous theory this is. This is a change. An atmosphere had been created that it was a shame to call oneself Hindu. But now such an atmosphere is there that it has become cool to say Hindu. An attempt is being made to combine it in one sentence that this is hyper-Hinduism. If someone else has the right to support a political party, why can’t I?”

Leena Yadav said, “Films cannot be made without politics. Every filmmaker keeps politics at the fore in his story. Bollywood is not a community. Filmmakers do not talk to each other. Everyone is under pressure to clarify their stance on social media.”

Family takes away TV installed in Byju’s office after cash strapped Ed-tech company refuses to refund for a learning program

0

The controversial ed-tech startup Byju’s, which is under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate for possible violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), ran into yet another embarrassing predicament after a family visited their office, dismantled a TV installed there and took it away.

In a viral video that has garnered more than 1.50 lakh likes since it was shared on Instagram, a family can be seen uninstalling a TV placed on the wall in Byju’s office and walking away with it. The family was reportedly forced to take action against the edtech company after it failed to pay back a refund.

The father is heard saying in the video, “Take the TV back when you give the refund.”

According to media reports, the family seen in the video requested a refund for a tablet and a learning program that they took for their son but did not utilise. After weeks of trying to get their money back and failing miserably to get past the numerous obstacles, the irate family barged into the office of the edtech company and took away the TV that was installed there. While leaving the premises with the TV the male in the video told an office staff to take the TV back once his refund was paid.

Byju’s, which was formerly regarded as one of India’s most promising businesses and reached a peak valuation of $22 billion, is currently facing numerous difficulties. These consist of heavy debt loads, problems with cash flow, unfavourable working conditions, and questionable business decisions. As a result, its estimated value has dropped to about $225 million.

Besides, the edtech giant has also been embroiled in some legal predicaments with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) filing an insolvency plea against Byju’s before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Bengaluru on December 4 last year. The plea is based on the claim that Byju’s has defaulted on a payment of Rs 158 crore due to a sponsorship contract for the Indian cricket team.

Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the edtech company under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), also extended its lookout circular against Byju Raveendran, the founder of Byju’s.

Think & Learn Pvt Ltd, the parent company of Byju and Raveendran, was served with show-cause notices by the agency in November of last year about suspected FEMA violations totalling Rs 9,362.35 crore. In a statement at the time, the ED stated that inquiries had been conducted in response to many allegations about Byju’s foreign investment and its business practices.

Over the course of April 27 and 28, of last year, the agency searched Byju’s facilities as well as Raveendran’s house. Documents relating to both domestic and foreign investments made by the company were seized.

The investigation team had pointed out that the company’s failure to recognise export revenue from sales outside of India and its tardy filing of documentation opposing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) that it had received were the reasons for the purported infraction. It also mentioned the company’s failure to submit documentation for remittances routed outside of India.

18-year-old Akul Dhawan froze to death after he was denied entry to a nightclub: 6th unnatural death of an Indian in USA in 2024

0

Akul Dhawan, an Indian-origin graduate of Illinois University, died last month on West Nevada Street in the US after freezing to death near a club that refused to admit him after a night out with friends, according to the Champaign County Coroner’s Office.

On 20th February, Champaign County Coroner Stephen Thuney issued a statement detailing the official cause of Dhawan’s death. The release stated that the death was unintentional. “An autopsy was performed on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024, that confirmed the death of Dhawan was due to hypothermia. Acute alcohol intoxication and prolonged exposure to extremely cold temperatures significantly contributed to his death,” the press release stated.

On 11th February, the community people held a vigil to honor Dhawan in the presence of his parents, who conveyed their grief in a statement to the media. “We have a big massive hole left in our family; we will never be the same,” they said.

On 19th January, Dhawan exited the bar at midnight but declined requests to be driven home by rideshares. All phone calls and text messages that were sent to Dhawan’s phone went unattended, and he was reported missing at 1:23 am. As per the reports, on the night of Dhawan’s death, the temperature had dropped to 27 degrees Fahrenheit (-2.7 degrees Celsius).

Last month, the coroner’s office stated that the preliminary report found no signs of substantial trauma. “There was no foul play involved and the death is initially believed to be accidental,” he said.

Dhawan’s parents have filed a complaint against the university’s police department, accusing them of incompetence in searching. Dhawan’s body was reported found just 200 feet away from the location where he was last reported seen.

After Akul was reported missing, school authorities “looked at the area where he was last seen, the student’s residence hall, and the likely path between the two locations, including the main Quad and streets.” Police also investigated local hospitals and made phone calls to the students.

Dhawan’s parents, who live in California, stated that they spoke with top university officials while in town this week. They also filed a complaint against the school police for negligence. His uncle, Rishab Mehandru, stated that to prevent others from going through the same ordeal, they would like to learn more about the UI’s search policy and any issues with its procedures.

Dhawan enrolled in the University of Illinois’ Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to study robotics, despite his parents’ objections that he study closer to home in California.

Akul Dhawan’s death is the 6th case of an Indian person’s unnatural death in the USA in 2 months of 2024.

Seattle police officer who caused Jhanvi Kandula’s death won’t face any charges

Last year, a similar incident was reported after an Indian student identified as Janhavi Kandula was killed after being hit by a patrol car driven by police officer Kevin Dave in Seattle. Dave was driving at 74 mph (119 kph) on his way to a report of an overdose when he collided with Kandula at Dexter Avenue North and Thomas Street. According to reports, her body was flung about 100 feet (30 meters) away.

The student was immediately brought to Harborview Medical Centre, but she died from her injuries. Later a video of the US police officer joking and laughing over the death of the Indian-origin student in an accident in Seattle had taken the internet by storm, followed by a massive outrage. The Indian Consulate in San Francisco had also demanded a probe into the incident amid the uproar.

Reportedly, as per the latest update, it has come to the fore that Dave who collided with Kandula resulting in the latter’s death will not face any criminal charges in the case due to ‘lack of evidence’.

In a statement issued on Wednesday (21st February), the King County Prosecuting Attorney said, “Kandula’s death is heartbreaking and has impacted communities in King County and around the world.” However, King County Prosecuting Attorney Leesa Manion stated that she believes there is insufficient evidence to prove a criminal case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Recently, a 23-year-old Indian student Sameer Kamath was found dead in Warren County in Indiana. He was a doctoral candidate in mechanical engineering at Purdue University.

Shreyas Reddy, who was a student at the Linder School of Business, was also found dead in Cincinnati in Ohio. But, the cause of his death remains unknown.

Before him, Vivek Saini and Neel Acharya were also found dead in the same week. Notably, Neel Acharya was also a student at the Purdue University. His body was found at the campus on January 30.

Another Indian student Vivek Saini was brutally killed with repeated blows from a hammer by a homeless man inside a store in Lithonia, Georgia, US on January 29.

Also, on 7th February, a 41-year-old Indian-origin man named Vivek Taneja succumbed to his injuries after being grievously assaulted by an unidentified man in downtown Washington in the United States.

‘Why does he feel entitled to impose his agenda’: President of El Salvador blasts George Soros but this isn’t his first time

On Thursday (22nd February), the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, lashed out at George Soros for influencing public policy and laws in the United States.

He made the remarks during the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor in Maryland, which is located south of Washington.

During his speech, Bukele stated, “Who elected (George) Soros to dictate public policy and laws? Why does he feel entitled to impose his agenda?”

Let me tell you something – Soros and his cronies hit a brick wall in El Salvador,” he emphasised. “Thank God and all glory be to Him, El Salvadorians are now immune to his (Soros’) influence,” Nayib Bukele further added.

In October last year, Elon Musk also lashed out at the far-left, Hungarian-American billionaire for ensuring the appointment of District Attorneys (DAs) who refuse to prosecute criminals, undermine the law and order system and thus worsen the crime rate in major US cities.

It must be mentioned that Nayib Bukele came to power in 2019 with a whopping 84% votes and has been credited for drastically decreasing the crime rate in the Central American country.

While the El Salvadorian President made headlines due to his critical remarks on George Soros on Thursday (22nd February), this wasn’t the first time when Nayib Bukele slammed the far-left billionaire for his nefarious agenda.

While Vice went bankrupt in May last year, he was quick to take potshots at George Soros. Bukele had tweeted then, “It seems like Soros’ money also rans (sic) out.”

As early as September 2020, he had accused George Soros and Open Society Foundations (OSF) of influence peddling in El Salvador. Following Bukele’s statement, OSF issued a statement.

The El Salvadorian President had accused several left-wing publications of running a smear campaign against his government after receiving funds from George Soros.

In 2021, Nayib Bukele hit out at the far-left billionaire for trying to sabotage relations between El Salvador and the United States.

As expected, he was hounded by ‘journalists’ on Open Society Foundations’ pay-roll for imposing 40% tax on foreign funding of NGOs.

In 2023, Nayib Bukele spoke out about the influence of George Soros in the media. He had tweeted, “In all Latin American countries there are media and “journalists” paid by Soros. But in reality they are not journalists, they are political activists with a defined and perverse global agenda.”

He had also slammed Soros-affiliated journalists for trying to distort public perception in the run-up to the Presidential elections in El Salvador.

George Soros and his anti-India agenda

India has been fighting a ‘perception war’ on all fronts since the start of 2023. On February 16 this year, George Soros exploited the Adani-Hindenburg controversy and launched a scathing attack on the Indian government.

He claimed, “Modi and business tycoon Adani are close allies. Their fate is intertwined…Adani Enterprises tried to raise funds in the stock market, but it failed. Adani is accused of stock manipulation and his stock collapsed like a house of cards.”

Soros accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of crony capitalism. “Modi is silent on the subject, but he will have to answer questions from foreign investors and in parliament,” he added.

The Hungarian-American billionaire also said that the ‘shakedown’ caused to the Indian markets due to the Hindenburg Research report will result in ‘much needed institutional reforms’ and ‘democratic revival’.

George Soros and his vicious ecosystem of NGOs, activists and journalists had been trying to prove PM Modi as an ‘electoral autocrat’ who needed to be ousted for the ‘greater good’ of this country. And it has been a work in progress for a long time.

The Hungarian-American billionaire has also tried to use international institutions, which are funded by him, including Freedom House and  V-Dem (Varieties of Democracy) Institute to tarnish the image of India at a global level.

In January 2020, the American billionaire committed $1 billion to start a global university to “fight nationalists” and climate change, calling them twin challenges that threaten the survival of our civilisation.

Sandeshkhali violence: Close aide of absconding Sheikh Shahjahan assaulted, his house vandalised by protesters

On Friday, Sandeshkhali in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district was once again plunged into turmoil with a new wave of protests and arson. The area has been witnessing a significant protest against alleged sexual abuse and land encroachment by a Trinamool Congress leader. Protesters targeted Trinamool Congress leader Ajit Maity’s residence, vandalizing his motorcycle and accusing him of involvement in the land grab.

Additionally, on Friday, an unknown group set fire to a guard room near an aquaculture field. This act further fueled the protests, with locals pointing fingers at members of the Trinamool Congress for the incident.

At the same time, the state capital experienced a major confrontation when police prevented BJP leaders from travelling to Sandeshkhali.

West Bengal police detained BJP MP Locket Chatterjee as the women’s team from the saffron party was en route to the troubled area of Sandeshkhali on Friday. Chatterjee engaged in a verbal altercation with a police officer during the incident.

A delegation from the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) along with a team from the BJP, led by Chatterjee and Agnimitra Paul, who are both general secretaries of the West Bengal unit, had intended to visit Sandeshkhali.

Earlier today, angry people torched the properties of Sirajuddin Sheikh – the brother of accused TMC leader Sheikh Shahajahan. The property belonging to Shahjahan Sheikh’s brother in the Kachari area of Bermazdoor, Sandeshkhali was set on fire.

The villagers alleged that Sirajuddin Sheikh and his men had grabbed the land of the villagers, and that is why they started protesting. A large number of policemen also reached the spot.

The background of the controversy

On 8th February this year, hundreds of women in Sandeshkhali took to the streets to protest against land grabbing, non-payment of wages and sexual violence committed by Trinamool Congress goon Sheikh Shahjahan and his two aides Shiba Prasad Hazra and Uttam Sardar.

The women attacked Shahjahan’s illicitly obtained properties and set fire to a poultry farm owned by Shiba Prasad Hazra. They also surrounded the Sandeshkali police station and demanded the immediate arrest of the trio. The agitation in the village lasted for 3 days.

During that time, the TMC goons retaliated and the police acted as mute spectators. In several cases, the cops themselves resorted to harassment of the women. It had come to light that the residents were the subject of sexual violence by the TMC for a long time.

On 10th February, the local police imposed Section 144 in various areas in Sandeshkhali and also banned the use of the Internet in 16 panchayats scattered over the two blocks of Sandeshkhali-I and Sandeshkhali-II.

In a bid to pacify the angry villagers of Sandeshkhali, the TMC leadership suspended Uttam Sardar from the party for six years. The suspended TMC leader and Zilla Parishad member was subsequently arrested in the Sandeshkhali police station area.

The Mamata Banerjee-led-TMC government arrested a former CPI(M) MLA named Nirpada Sardar in connection to the case on 11th February. BJP leader Vikas Singh, who happens to be the Convenor of the Basirhat Lok Sabha constituency, was also arrested in connection to the women’s protest against TMC goons.

On Friday (17th February), the police arrested TMC leader Shibu Prasad Hazra over land grabbing and sexual exploitation of women in Sandeshkhali. The primary accused Sheikh Shahjahan, is still on the run from the law enforcement authorities.

Love Jihad in Agra: Dilshan claims to be Deepak and lures a minor girl, sexually exploits, records video and threatens her; arrested

0

A shocking case of love jihad has come to light in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh where 21-year-old Dilshan pretended to be Deepak Kumar and befriended a minor Hindu girl. Afterwards, he formed a physical relationship with her under the pretext of love. He even used to tie a ‘kalawa’ (sacred thread) around his wrist and apply sandalwood ’tilak’ (sacred mark) on his forehead to identify himself as a Hindu.

The girl, nevertheless, discovered his reality after some time and voiced her opposition. The accused then began intimidating as well as torturing her repeatedly. She had enough of the abuse and eventually went to the Trans Yamuna police station to file a complaint which led to the accused’s arrest.

The juvenile resident of the Trans Yamuna police station neighbourhood in Agra’s Foundry Nagar stated that she met the perpetrator approximately four years ago. He is from Islam Nagar Tedi Bagiya Tehi Bagiya. He followed her every day while flaunting his ‘kalawa’ and ’tilak’ (the Hindu symbols). One day he stopped her on the way and introduced himself as Deepak. The offender told the victim that he was in love with her. She fell into his trap and accepted his romantic proposal.

Likewise, under the guise of being in love, he brought her to a location where he engaged in sexual relations with the underage girl and continued to have sex with her on multiple occasions afterwards. Meanwhile, she came to know about the truth and learned that Deepak Kumar is in fact a Muslim named Dilshan. She charged him with cheating and snapped ties with him. He apologised to her and promised to move to a different city after their marriage while pleading in the name of love. She was tricked by his sweet talk once again.

Dilshan regularly sexually exploited the girl for about four years and even recorded pornographic video of her. In the meantime, the girl’s family members fixed her marriage with someone else after which she informed the culprit of the development and pushed him to tie the knot with her. He then directed her to bring cash to elope from the house. She gave him money and asked him to buy a train ticket to Delhi. However, he took the amount but never returned.

Troubled by his actions, she ended their relationship and decided to wed the man of her family’s choice after which preparations commenced for their nuptials. The accused then called her one day and began threatening her. He warned that if she left him and married another man, he would make her explicit video viral on social media and defame her. Hence, the girl reported him to the authorities and a case was initiated against him and he was apprehended as a result. The matter is now under inquiry.

Indian Navy’s DSRV finds wreckage of Pakistani submarine destroyed during 1971 war near Vizag coast, Japanese sub sunk in WW-II also lies nearby

0

Indian Navy’s newly-acquired Deep Submergence Recovery Vehicle (DSRV) has found the wreckage of the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi, which sank on December 4, 1971, during the India-Pakistan war.

The Tench-class submarine, previously known as USS Diablo, was found at a depth of roughly 100 metres, about 2 to 2.5 kilometres off the shore. However, in true Navy tradition, the Indian Navy refused to touch it to honour those who perished in action, TOI reported.

During the 1971 war, Pakistan had sent PNS Ghazi to lay mines on the eastern coast of India and attack INS Vikrant, the aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy. The sub was sent from Karachi on 14 November 1971, and had reached the coast near Vizag. India dispatched the destroyer INS Rajput, which located and followed the Pakistani submarine and dropped depth charges, causing it to sink. PNS Ghazi was sunk on the night of December 4-5, 1971. The sinking of the PNS Ghazi, which had 93 men on board, was a watershed moment in the war that ended with the creation of Bangladesh in 1972.

However, Pakistan denies that the submarine was hit by the Indian Navy, claiming that it sank due to an accidental explosion.

Notably, PNS Ghazi is not the only submarine found on the bottom of the Bay of Bengal near Vizag. A Japanese submarine of World War II, 12 February 1944, the Imperial Japanese Navy’s RO-110, was also sunk off the coast of Rambilli in Vizag, and this submarine also has been located. The Japanese submarine was sunk by HMAS Launceston and HMIS Jumna using depth charges. Before it was destroyed, RO-110 had sunk British merchant ship Daisy Moller, and had attacked a convoy of the allied forces. After this, the submarine was chased by HMAS Launceston and HMIS Jumna, and it was finally hit off the coast of Visakhapatnam.

Veteran naval personnel stated that two submarines were lying at the bottom of the water near the Vizag coast. “However, the Navy has not touched the Japanese submarine as naval personnel strongly believe that it is the final resting place of the brave souls, and we let them rest in peace,” TOI quoted them as saying.

Vizag is one of the few coastal cities with deep inlets that provide anchorage for seafaring ships, with an average depth of approximately 16 metres. While over 40 countries have submarines, only a few have achieved the ability to deploy a DSRV. These vehicles can carry out submarine rescue operations at depths of up to 1,000 metres. India now operates two DSRVs, which can be shipmounted or transported.

The DSRV system, which uses cutting-edge Side Scan Sonar (SSS) and a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), can identify a submarine at depths of up to 1,000 metres. Upon successfully locating the submarine, another DSRV submodule, the Submarine Rescue Vehicle (SRV), mates with it to rescue the trapped people. The SRV can also be used to deliver emergency supplies to the submarine.

‘Congress mistreats Muslims, I was body shamed’: Zeeshan Siddique hits back after his removal, BJP says Congress is intrinsically anti-Muslim

On Wednesday, February 21, the Congress party Zeeshan Siddique was removed from the post of Mumbai Youth Congress president. Today (Saturday, February 23), the ousted Congress youth leader hit back at the grand old party accusing it of having a discriminatory approach. He said the party mistreats leaders from minority communities.

In a media conference, Zeeshan Siddique said that he was body-shamed as he was asked to shed 10 kgs before he could meet Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“Mallikarjun Kharge is such a senior leader but even his hands are tied…Rahul Gandhi is doing his work, but it looks like his team has taken ‘supari’ from other parties to finish Congress. During Bharat Jodo Yatra in Nanded, I was told by one of the persons close to Rahul Gandhi that I should lose 10kg of weight and then he would make me meet him..” said Siddique.

“The treatment being meted out to minority leaders and workers in the Congress is unfortunate. The extent of communalism in the Congress and Mumbai Youth Congress is unlike anywhere else. Is it a sin to be a Muslim in the Congress? The party has to answer why am I being targeted? Is it only because I am a Muslim?” Siddique added.

BJP slams Congress after the party removed Zeeshan Siddique from his post

The Bharatiya Janata Party has hit out at the Congress party after it removed Zeeshan Siddique from the post of Mumbai Youth Congress president.

Slamming the Congress party, BJP Party leader Shehzad Poonawalla said that the grand old party may project for the vote bank and for appeasement’s sake that it is with the minorities. But actually, it has done the most damage to minorities.

“Today Zeeshan Siddiqui has spilled out the beans which was told by me six-seven years ago that Congress is the most anti-Muslim party. It may project for the vote bank and for appeasement’s sake that it is with the minorities. But actually, it has done the most damage to minorities. Today Zeeshan Siddiqui is facing it himself. We have seen that Congress allowed riot after riot to be orchestrated. Congress party used to say that Uddhav Sena is responsible for the Mumbai riots but today they have allied with them because Congress hates Muslims,” he said.

“They only keep them as their vote bank. In Congress, apart from ‘Parivaar’, nobody can take decisions. What Zeeshan is facing today, Congress leaders had been facing for a long time because Rahul Gandhi is promoting such a culture,” Poonawalla added.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi equating him with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Reacting to the claim made by former Mumbai Youth Congress president Zeeshan Siddique, the Assam CM posted on X, “The only other person, I can think of, who makes such ridiculous demands from his party workers – that they should look nice and photogenic – is a dynast who rules North Korea.”

Zeeshan Siddique is the son of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique and a first-term MLA for Bandra (East), a suburban area of Mumbai.

Days after his father left the party to join the National Congress Party (NCP), which is run by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Siddique was dismissed from his position as president of the Congress party’s Mumbai youth wing.

Media reports suggest that the Congress leadership had information that Zeeshan, is likely to defect to the NCP (Ajit Pawar) and hence it removed him.

On Thursday, February 21, a day after being ousted, Zeeshan stated that there is no value for Muslims in Congress. He said Muslims were targeted in Congress and there was no secularism in the party anymore. He said there was communalism in the Youth Congress. He added that he would talk to his supporters and search for options in other political parties.
