Har Ghar Tiranga: PM Modi changes his social media display picture to Indian Tricolour, urges fellow citizens to follow suit to deepen the bond with the country

On Sunday, August 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged social media users to change their display pictures (DPs) to the Indian Tricolour in the spirit of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Modi asked social media users to change their DPs and extend support to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign which will deepen the bond between India and its citizens.

“In the spirit of the #HarGharTiranga movement, let us change the DP of our social media accounts and extend support to this unique effort which will deepen the bond between our beloved country and us,” PM Modi tweeted.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign organised under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav that aims to motivate people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 76th year of independence. The campaign was first launched last year to mark the 75th year of Independence. Bringing the flag home in a collective manner as a nation in the 76th year of independence becomes symbolic of not just a personal attachment to the Tiranga but also of our dedication to nation-building. The initiative’s goal is to instil patriotism in the hearts of the people and raise awareness regarding the Indian National Flag.

On Saturday, the Ministry of Culture said that around 2.5 crore national flags had been provided to post offices for sale as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which has evolved into a “people’s movement” with increased public participation. According to the ministry, ‘Prabhat Pheris’ and ‘Tiranga Yatras’ will be organised from August 13 to August 15 in addition to the mega events at public places, schools, and colleges.

According to Union Culture Secretary Mohan, the Ministry of Culture’s ‘Har Gar Tiranga’ campaign “transformed into a people’s movement with increasing ‘janbhagidari’,” and this year’s ‘Tiranga’ rallies are in full swing in various parts of the country, with immense public participation.

“Lakhs of people upload selfies with the ‘Tiranga’ every day. People are also taking part in the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign, in which countless Shilaphalakams commemorating the brave hearts of the country are being erected at prominent places,” he added.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya slams Tejashwi Yadav for politics over the proposed AIIMS at Darbhanga in Bihar

On Saturday, 12th August 2023, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government does a ‘politics of development’ and not ‘politics in development’. He made this remark as he gave a befitting reply to Bihar’s deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav who accused Modi of lying about the proposed AIIMS at Darbhanga in Bihar.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya posted, “Dear Tejashwi ji, Modi government does not do politics in development but does politics of development. Our intention is clear. The permission for AIIMS Darbhanga was given by the Modi government on 19 September 2020 and the first land was given by the Bihar government on 3 November 2021.” With this tweet, he also attached copies of the letter sent by the Union Health Secretary to the Additional State Secretary of Bihar.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya further tweeted, “After this, you came to the government and changed this place on 30 April 2023 while doing politics. The expert committee inspected the land to check the land according to the rules.”

Union Health Minister added, “On May 26, 2023, the second land provided by the Government of India is not suitable for the construction of AIIMS, such a letter was sent to the Government of Bihar which is included with it. You tell me why the land was changed, in whose interest was it changed? What did your own MLA say in the Bihar Legislative Assembly about the unsuitable land given for AIIMS? Come out of politics and immediately give a proper place for the construction of AIIMS! We are ready to build AIIMS in Bihar.”

These remarks by the Union Health Minister followed Tejashwi Yadav’s response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s earlier address. The RJD scion accused the Prime Minister of uttering a ‘safed jhooth’ (blatant lie). Tejashwi, who oversees the health portfolio within the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, made these comments as Prime Minister Modi discussed the establishment of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the Darbhanga district of north Bihar.

Tejashwi Yadav said in a media interaction, “It is a blatant lie on the part of the PM to have made a mention of AIIMS at Darbhanga, which is yet to be constructed. He reminds me of Union Home Minister Amit Shah who some time ago boasted of Purnea airport, which is far from functional, as one of the achievements of the government.”

Tejashwi Yadav tweeted, “Today the Prime Minister was taking false credit for opening AIIMS in Darbhanga. The fact is that the Bihar government has given free 151 acres of land to the centre for its establishment and also allocated more than 250 crores for soil levelling but unfortunately doing politics the centre did not approve the construction of the proposed AIIMS. The country at least expects truth and facts from the Prime Minister but he told a blatant lie.”

He added, “In the month of June, we talked to the Union Health Minister on the telephone, requested him to approve it and also wrote a letter with hope, but to date, no positive action has been taken.”

During a video conference address to the Panchayati Raj Parishad in West Bengal, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the proposed establishment of AIIMS in Darbhanga. He emphasised the significance of premier healthcare facilities being established nationwide, aiming to reduce the need for extensive travel for medical care.

Man who robbed a Delhi house gets caught due to his travel vlogs on Instagram

On Sunday, August 12, the police apprehended a burglar in Agra a month after he robbed a residence in New Delhi. The arrest took place after police tracked his activities using his travel vlogs.

The thief has been identified as Sanjeev hailing from Bindapur, who looted a residence in Uttam Nagar in Delhi on July 11, according to police.

According to a senior police officer, the house owner said in his complaint that gold and silver valuables were stolen from his home.

During the inquiry, officers examined CCTV footage from nearby locations and saw Sanjeev heading out of the complainant’s house. The 29-year-old thief’s last known location was in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand and he used to turn off his phone for hours to save himself from getting tracked by the police.

Reportedly, the accused Sanjeev went to a gold loan store in Jeewan Park after committing the crime. When a police team visited the shop, it turned out that the accused kept two gold rings as collateral and received Rs 20,000 in cash as a loan, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harsha Vardhan. Meanwhile, Sanjeev kept posting travel videos to his account on Instagram since the robbery.

According to the DCP, accused Sanjeev arrived at Kerela and uploaded another vlog on his account. Later, in an effort to deceive the team, the accused stated in his video that he is travelling to Dubai for employment.

Sanjeev later posted another vlog in which he mentioned being in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The video was examined, and it was discovered that he took an e-rickshaw to Eidgah Road in Agra. Vardhan stated the police arrived in Agra and searched all of the hotels on Eidgah Road before arresting him.

From his possession, a total of Rs 16,000 was found. In this case, a raid was carried out in Saharanpur, and Abdul Malik, 65, was apprehended at his home. Abdul Malik purchased the stolen jewellery from Sanjeev. The jewellery was retrieved from his possession, according to police.

Canada: Another Hindu temple vandalised as Khalistani terrorists target a temple in Surrey

In yet another attack on Hindu temples overseas, Khalistani terrorists in Canada attacked yet another temple. This time, the act of vandalism took place in Surrey, near the Canada-United States border. The Khalistani terrorists also placed posters at the entrance of the temple, aiming to sow fear within the Hindu community. The poster advocates for a referendum pertaining to “the assassination of Hardeep Nijjar” and investigating India’s role in the terrorist’s assassination.

The news outlet “Australia Today” shared a video capturing the disturbing act of vandalism at the temple, which was carried out by Khalistani terrorists. In the video, two masked individuals can be observed affixing posters to the temple’s entrance.

The displayed poster announces the intention of Khalistanis to conduct a referendum about examining India’s involvement in what they called the “assassination of Hardeep Nijjar”. Featuring an image of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the poster commemorated him as a “martyr”.

On 18th June 2023, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in Surrey, Canada, four days after Khalistani terrorist Avtar Khanda mysteriously died in a UK Hospital. The Government of India had previously declared him a terrorist. The Indian government published a list of 41 individuals recognised as terrorists, among whom Hardeep Nijjar’s name was also featured. Khanda and Nijjar worked together to organise protests outside Indian high commissions and also sponsored terror attacks in India.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was associated with Sikhs for Justice, a Khalistani terrorist organisation. He was a resident of Jalandhar district of Punjab. He had been living in Canada for several years.

FIR registered against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Kamal Nath over posts sharing a false letter alleging 50% commission in Madhya Pradesh

On Saturday, August 12, Indore Police registered an FIR against handlers of X (formerly Twitter) accounts of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, along with former union minister Arun Yadav. The action comes after the ruling BJP warned legal action over X posts of the said leaders accusing the BJP government of corruption.

The Indore Police Commissioner said late on August 12 in a statement issued on X that the local BJP’s legal cell convenor Nimesh Pathak complained that a false letter bearing the identity of a person named Gyanendra Awasthi was disseminated on social media.

According to the letter, contractors across the state are required to pay a 50 percent commission.

According to the statement, a case has been filed against Awasthi as well as the “handlers” of the ‘X’ accounts of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Kamal Nath, and Arun Yadav at the Sanyogitaganj police station. The police added that an investigation into the matter is underway.

Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ramsanehi Mishra stated that an FIR had been filed at the Sanyogitaganj police station in Indore against the X (formerly Twitter) “handles” of the three Congress leaders.

On Pathak’s allegation, he added, the case was registered under Indian Penal Code sections 420 (cheating) and 469 (forgery with intent to harm reputation).

Pathak claimed that Congress leaders collaborated to smear the image of the state government and his party by spreading misleading social media posts and accusing the state’s BJP leadership of corruption.

In response to the police action, MP Congress president Kamal Nath stated, “Hundreds of corruption cases have taken place in the state. How many cases are they going to file? They are trying to make false agenda and people understand it very well.”

In a post on X, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that contractors in Madhya Pradesh are being coerced into paying commissions.

“The Union of Contractors in Madhya Pradesh has written a letter to the Chief Justice of the High Court complaining that payment is received only after paying 50% commission in the state. The corrupt BJP government in Karnataka used to collect 40% commission. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP has gone ahead by breaking its own record of corruption. The people of Karnataka ousted the government with 40% commission, now the people of Madhya Pradesh will remove the BJP government with 50% commission from power,” Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted on Friday.

Rajasthan: Former MLAs, Ex-Police Chief, and Retired Judge among 16 individuals who joined BJP ahead of assembly elections

On Saturday (12 August), around sixteen prominent leaders, including former MLAs, a retired state police chief, and a retired judge joined the Bhartiya Janata Party in the presence of senior party functionaries of the state unit, in Rajasthan.

Former MLAs Motilal Kharera, Anita Katara, Gopichand Gurjar, retired judge Kishan Lal Gurjar, former Madhya Pradesh DGP Pawan Kumar Jain, and Congress leader Mridurekha Chaudhary are some of the prominent faces who have joined the saffron party today.

Addressing the media personnel, BJP in-charge for Rajasthan, Arun Singh asserted that “more and more people” are showing their faith in the BJP and they will join the saffron party in the near future. During the event, Singh launched a scathing attack against the Ashok Gehlot government over the issue of “rising” cases of crimes against women in the state.

Singh said, “Sixteen leaders and hundreds of workers have joined the BJP today. Several people had joined the party in the past and it will continue in the future as more and more people are showing faith in the party’s policies and programmes.”

Attacking the Ashok Gehlot government, Singh added that the Congress government is responsible for the “rising” crimes against women, unemployment, recruitment exam paper leaks, and auction of farmers’ land. He emphasised that it is because of these reasons that people are leaving the Congress party.

Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rajendra Rathore also targeted the state government and said, “There is no rule of law in the state. Corruption is at its peak and the youth is troubled by paper leaks. Lands of farmers are being auctioned as the government failed to fulfill its promise of farm loan waiver.”

Increased focus on Gujjar and tribal belts

The assembly elections in the state are round the corner and in the remaining four months, the BJP has reportedly stepped up its focus on Gujjar and tribal belts. These communities had been traditionally casting their votes in favour of the saffron party but during the 2018 assembly elections, they shifted en mass towards the Congress party.

It was claimed that the possibility of Sachin Pilot, a tall Gujjar leader, becoming the state Chief Minister in case of Congress’ victory, swayed these communities in favour of the Congress party. But on account of the inglorious ouster of Sachin Pilot and its push among these communities, BJP is hoping to shift back the balance in its favour.

Evidently, the new joinees include several prominent faces from these two communities. The notable Gujjar faces in this list include retired judge Kishan Lal Gurjar, advocate Atar Singh Gurjar, Bhagwan Singh Gurjar, Gujjar leader and ex-BJP legislator, Gopichand Gurjar. Ex-MLA Gopichand Gurjar had been a party MLA from the Nagar Assembly constituency in Bharatpur district during 1993-1998.

He is known for his campaigns for cow protection and he spearheaded the campaign for the passing the Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act in 1995.

Although, Congress MLA Wajib Ali currently represent the Nagar Assembly constituency, Gopichand Gujjar is said to be “well-entrenched” in Nagar, which has a significant percentage of voters from the Gujjar community.

Along with Gopichand Gurjar, tribal leader and former BJP MLA Anita Katara have also returned to the BJP’s fold. Katara had been a former BJP MLA from the Scheduled Tribes (ST)-reserved Sagwara constituency in Dungarpur district in southern Rajasthan. She left the party ahead of the 2018 polls after being denied an election ticket. Subsequently, Katara contested the election as an Independent but lost to the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP)’s candidate.

In the last assembly elections, in 2018, BJP fared poorly in the tribal seats in the state, and Congress swept this region.

However, this time, it is being said that a large section of tribals particularly in the southern Rajasthan have not made their mind this time, and the recent induction of Katara and other leaders hailing from various districts in eastern Rajasthan, including Sikar and Bharatpur may reap electoral benefit for the BJP.

Hawaii wildfire: Death toll climbs to 80, entire island town of Maui burnt to ashes, rescue operation underway

On Saturday (12 August), the officials confirmed that at least 80 people have been killed by wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui. However, there is a growing concern that the number of casualties could increase further, as authorities have been unable to locate hundreds of residents.

The Lahaina fire, currently raging across Hawaii, has already become one of the most fatal blazes in U.S. records, with authorities cautioning that the casualty count is likely to increase. This marks the second-highest death toll from a fire within the past century, trailing only the 2018 Camp Fire in Northern California, which claimed 85 lives and engulfed the town of Paradise.

The officials have ensured that all efforts are underway to minimise the damage to property and loss of life. This includes extensive rescue operations and firefighting.

Firefighters have been trying to douse the fires in several areas and limit the area of wildfire. An increased focus is on the historic town of Lahaina which has been severely devastated.

As per a report in BBC, Hawaii’s Attorney General has announced to conduct a “comprehensive review” of the measures that have been undertaken by the authorities against the wildfires. This announcement is particularly important as several questions have been raised that whether officials warned the residents in advance of the calamity or not.

On Friday (11 August), State officials reopened Lahaina for the first time since flames started engulfing the area earlier this week. According to officials, it is open only to those people who have proof of residency.

Meanwhile, the Honoapiilani Highway is one of the only available routes into Lahaina. It was jam-packed with cars stacked bumper-to-bumper. Exhausted family members trying to escape the wildfire and find safe shelters were helplessly stuck in the traffic.

Fully filled trucks have been trying to provide essential supplies like water, fuel, nappies, and toilet paper to the wildfire-affected people, however, they too were stuck in traffic jams. This is why, hours after opening, the route was closed for everyone except for those providing emergency services.

Earlier, Governor Josh Green had warned residents that they would be greeted by “destruction like they’ve not ever seen in their lives”.

On Friday evening, tensions escalated when residents of Kaanapali which is in the north of Lahaina, were told to leave their homes because a fire had started in the area where a fueling station was set up. However, the Maui officials assured that the fire was brought under control some two hours later.

As per the officials, there is no power or water supply in the area of West Maui, where Lahaina and Kaanapali are located.

Rescue operations are being carried out to look for survivors of this massive Hawaii wildfire and this includes looking for survivors in the water.

Evidently, the Coast Guard stated that it had safely pulled 17 people alive from the water near the town’s harbour and all of them were reportedly in stable condition.

However, speaking to BBC, Gabe Lucy, who owns a tour operator on Maui claimed that he was “hearing horrific accounts”. He said, “People were jumping in the water and I think for a lot of them the fire wrapped around so quickly that the only way to escape was to go down to the water’s edge.”

US President Joe Biden announced Hawaii wildfire a “major disaster”

Earlier it was reported that strong winds from a far-off hurricane Dora fueled the fires in the city of Lahaina, the island’s primary tourist attraction, resulting in the fatalities.

On Thursday (10 August), President Biden declared the wildfire in Hawaii a “major disaster”. As per the White House, he also ordered federal aid to areas affected by wildfires. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

As per a statement by the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, the wildfires started on August 8 and since then it has burned thousands of acres and endangered the lives of more than 35,000 people on Maui. Additionally, the wildfire had jeopardised their homes, businesses, and property.

Four sites in Maui have suffered the majority of the brunt of this wildfire. However, authorities have not been able to contain the fire and it has been spreading to new areas. As per the officials, it will take years and billions of dollars to rebuild.

Kerala: Naushad tortures ‘friend’ Reshma, slits her throat and kills her because she ‘made fun’ of him in front of another friend

On Wednesday, August 9, a woman identified as Reshma Ravi was brutally stabbed to death after brutal physical torture by her ‘friend’ Naushad in an OYO hotel room at Pottakkuzhi near Kaloor, Kerala, where he has been working as a caretaker for several years. The woman, who suffered deep injuries on the neck, was declared dead at a private hospital near Kaloor. Kerala police arrested Naushad and also recovered the weapon he used to kill Reshma.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to killing his ‘friend’ because she apparently ‘poked fun’ at his physical appearance in front of another friend and insulted him when he refused to get into a live-in relationship with her.

The police discovered a video recorded by Naushad on his phone, minutes before he stabbed the victim. The horrifying footage showed how the accused brutally tortured her before he slit her throat with a sharp kitchen knife. At one point in the video, she was even seen pleading with the accused to kill her, a police source was quoted as saying.

Naushad, during interrogation, told the police that both of them knew each other through social media for about three years. Reshma was working as a lab assistant. The Hindu victim was from Changanassery, Kottayam.

On the day of the incident, Naushad persuaded the victim to come to the hotel. However, both entered into an argument inside the hotel room. During the argument, Naushad stabbed her using a kitchen knife all over her body,” said the police.

Naushad told the police that Reshma had made fun of some of Naushad’s physical characteristics and shared the same with her friend. He further said that Reshma had pressurised Naushad to rent a flat and move in together and when he declined the idea, she made defamatory remarks against him. Naushad also claimed that Reshma performed witchcraft on him due to which he developed physical disabilities. All these things put together infuriated Naushad and sowed the seed of revenge in him.

The accused admitted that Reshma at one point asked him to ‘kill her’ as she could not endure the mental and physical torture Naushad inflicted on her, after which he stabbed her in the neck with a knife.

The police said that Naushad made some bizarre claims and gave contradictory answers to several questions during the interrogation. The investigating officers also said that his allegation that the young woman had committed black magic on the accused was completely baseless.

The police also revealed that a case of attempted murder is pending against the accused at the Aluva East Police Station, adding that they have sought Naushad’s custody to question him further in the case.

Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar appointed new interim prime minister of Pakistan ahead of national elections: Read details

Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar was named as Pakistan‘s caretaker prime minister to govern the cash-strapped country ahead of the critical general elections later this year. He was chosen by the country’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and outgoing opposition leader in the national assembly, Raja Riaz Ahmad Khan.

The Prime Minister’s Office informed, “The prime minister and leader of the opposition jointly signed the advice and it was sent to the president.” President Arif Alvi accepted his selection as interim prime minister in accordance with Article 224(1A) of the constitution.

He signed the recommendation at the presidential palace soon after it was dispatched for his approval. The decision transpired after he dissolved the national assembly when Shehbaz Sharif who is also the president of the Pakistan Muslim League forwarded a summary to him for dissolution of the lower house of the Parliament.

A statement by the Aiwan-e-Sadr read, “President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the appointment of Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar as caretaker prime minister. The president approved the appointment under Article 224-A of the Constitution.”

Who is Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar

The lawmaker is from the southwestern province of Balochistan. He was elected as senator in 2018 and his term is set to be concluded in March 2024. He was the parliamentary leader of the Balochistan Awami Party for five years. Interestingly, he was the co-founder of the party.

He contested for the national assembly from Quetta in 2008 on a Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid ticket and as the spokesman of the government of Balochistan in 2013. He presently serves as the committee’s chair in the senate. He graduated from the University of Balochistan with a master’s degree in political science and sociology.

Notably, the temporary prime minister is now more significant because he is going to be in charge of the national elections and has the authority to set economic policy. The schedule for the national elections in Pakistan is yet to be announced.

He chairs Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. He is also a member of the Business Advisory Committee, Finance and Revenue, Foreign Affairs and Science and Technology.

The selection process for the new interim PM

A day earlier, Shehbaz Sharif told journalists in Islamabad that the Pakistani Constitution permitted the caretaker prime minister eight days to be nominated following the dissolution of parliament.

President Arif Alvi dissolved the national assembly on 9 August at the suggestion of the current premier. This paved the way for general elections to take place at the latest on 9 November.

When the legislature is dissolved before the conclusion of its five-year term, the constitution offers a 90-day window for arranging elections. After the assembly disbanded, the nation prepared to hold general elections in the midst of a political and economic crisis despite being granted an International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout package.

The Pakistan People’s Party leader Raja Riaz Ahmad Khan remarked, “We had earlier decided that the caretaker PM should be someone from a smaller province and a non-controversial personality. Our aim was to remove the sense of deprivation in small provinces. We have finally reached a consensus that Anwaarul Haq Kakar will be the caretaker PM,” while talking to the media outside Prime Minister’s House after meeting Shehbaz Sharif.

He revealed, “I had given this name and the PM has consented to this name. I and the PM have signed the summary.” He further added that a discussion on the caretaker cabinet was not held in the meeting.

After the approval of the census for 2023 was announced, former federal ministers from Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet have sparked rumours that the general elections might be delayed since it could take the Pakistani Election Commission 120 days to decide on new delimitations.

The National Assembly was supposed to conclude its term on 12 August but the prime minister requested the dissolution three days earlier exercising his authority under Article 58(1). On August 11, The President wrote to the PM and the opposition leader to request their nominees for the post on 11 August amid numerous rumours regarding various potential candidates for the position of interim premier.

According to the letter’s citation of Article 224(1)A of the constitution, the president installs the interim prime minister at the proposal of the cabinet. He recalled that in compliance with the constitution, the prime minister and the leader of the opposition must propose the name of the interim premier within three days afterwards the dissolution of the national assembly which occurred on 9 August.

He emphasised that Shehbaz Sharif’s counsel was the reason he abolished the national assembly. Now, he continued, that the PM and opposition leader should within the time allotted by the constitution offer the name of a suitable caretaker premier. Both leaders were holding talks on the matter since 9 August.

The opposition leader was invited by the prime minister for consultation in keeping with the constitution, as per a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) earlier this week. Shehbaz Sharif remained evasive when questioned by reporters about the president’s letter and maintained that the constitution is quite explicit about the process for appointing an interim prime minister.

According to the law, the outgoing premier and the leader of the opposition may each present two names to a parliamentary committee if they are unable to agree on a single candidate for temporary prime minister. The Election Commission of Pakistan would have two days to select a name from the list of candidates submitted with it by the committee if it is unable to select a candidate.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the name is most likely to be revealed on 12 August while speaking to journalists in Islamabad. He pointed out that prior to arriving at a final decision, he would speak with representatives from the political parties affiliated with the Pakistan Democratic Movement. He is also going to meet with the opposition leader again.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that in comparison to his 38-year political career, the last 16 months had been the most difficult throughout his time in office. He alleged that he was able to succeed on a variety of fronts by collaborating with all parties.

It is important to note that Pakistan is going through an unprecedented economic and political crisis along with major incidents of terror attacks on civilians, law enforcement and defence forces.
