Will neither do anything by themselves nor let others do: Prime Minister Narendra Modi slams Opposition parties

Prime Minister on Sunday launched an attack on the Opposition parties, alleging that they have an objection to everything that BJP government is doing for the betterment of the country.

PM Modi was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 508 railway stations across the country under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station’ scheme on Sunday, and said, “Unfortunately, a section of the Opposition in our country is following the old methods even today. They will neither do anything by themselves nor let anyone else do anything.”

“The country built a modern Parliament building. Parliament is the symbol of the country’s democracy. It has representation from the Ruling side as well as from the Opposition. But this section of the Opposition opposed the new Parliament building,” Modi said.

“We redeveloped Kartavya Path but they opposed that too,” he added. “For 70 years, they didn’t even build a war memorial for the Bravehearts of the country. When we built National War Memorial, they felt no shame in criticising that too. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Statue of Unity is the tallest building in the world. Every Indian is proud of it. But none of the big leaders of a few political parties ever visited the Statue. But rising above from negative, we are moving forward on the path of positive politics as a mission,” PM Modi added.

Further, PM Modi while speaking about the redevelopment project, said, “Each Amrit station will become a symbol of the city’s modern aspirations and ancient heritage.” The mega redevelopment project is estimated to cost worth Rs 25,000 crore approximately.

According to officials, the 508 stations chosen for the redevelopment project, are spread across 27 states and union territories, including 55 each in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, 49 in Bihar, 44 in Maharashtra, 37 in West Bengal, 34 in Madhya Pradesh, 32 in Assam, 25 in Odisha, 22 in Punjab, 21 each in Gujarat and Telangana, 20 in Jharkhand, 18 each in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, 15 in Haryana, 13 in Karnataka among others.

The project aims at ensuring provision of modern passenger amenities along with well-designed traffic circulation, inter-modal integration and well-designed signage for the guidance of passengers. The design of the station buildings will be inspired by local culture, heritage and architecture. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme was launched to redevelop 1,309 stations across the country.

Wear hijab, you will get respect if you become a Muslim: Anam and Hamid tried to brainwash and convert a Dalit girl to Islam in Bhopal

A shocking case eerily similar to the movie The Kerala Story has surfaced in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. A Dalit girl named Munni Dongre, daughter of late Sovind Dogre, resident of Mukam Post, Lawani in Balaghat was pressurised to embrace Islam under the guise of help by her Muslim roommate, Anam Syed from Nariyalkheda, Pipal Square and her co-religionist male friend, Hamid Mian.

The accused harassed her under the pretence of offering her a residence to stay. She was held hostage in the house and abused after she objected to their actions. The victim has filed a police report at the Mahila police station against the two. A case has been registered against them under the provisions of freedom of religion and scheduled caste.

She is a first-year student at the Patropadhi College for Animal Husbandry and has been studying in college for the last six months. She said that the college had mandated service in the animal husbandry hospital for two days where they were taught about the treatment of animals.

He stated, “I first heard from Anam Syed about four months ago. I had asked her to find me a room for rent. However, she refused and told me to stay with her. I initially declined, but she insisted and informed me that she also lives alone. Therefore, I agreed to move in with her because I liked the way she behaved with me.”

She further continued, “I moved in with her in June. Everything was going great at first, but then she gradually started persuading me to convert to Islam. She used to tell me to wear the hijab and showed me how to read namaz and move hand on the head. When I refused she used to claim that Hindus and Muslims are brothers. She initially allowed me to practice my faith, but later opposed the same.”

Anam Syed revealed her true colours soon enough and humiliated the girl. The former alleged, ” You are from a low caste and not even a Hindu. You have to follow our religion. You will gain respect if you convert to Islam. You will get the opportunity to touch the Quran.” Munni Dongre also accused her of speaking crudely about things and has recorded a video of it as well.

She disclosed that Hamid Mian used to visit the place frequently. He used to arrive at about 8 p.m. and stay until about 11 p.m. She unveiled, “I used to go to bed early since I had an exam on 10 July. I used to feel someone touching my body after I fell asleep. When I awoke unexpectedly, they two were seated by my side. They would chastise me if I questioned them. She used to say he is like my brother.”

She expressed her desire to leave there and recounted, “They threatened me that they wouldn’t let me stay there and send me back to where I came from. They bolted the door and locked the room after numerous pleas from me. I informed my mother over the phone about my circumstance and requested her to ask my brother to take me away from this house.”

She charged, “She snatched my phone as well. Nevertheless, until that time, my mother had sent my brother to the location I had provided. She even refused to let me go with the latter. My brother then went to the Gautam Nagar police station to get assistance. She was yelling at me while strangling me. The cops arrived in the meanwhile and brought me to the station and sent me home with him.”

The victim had travelled to Bhopal to take the test on 3 August and brought a complaint to the police station on the next day. She has demanded action against the perpetrators and sought security in order to complete her studies.

Madhya Pradesh: Faiz Syed poses as Karan to lure a Hindu girl, sexually exploits and blackmails her, arrested

On Saturday, 5th August 2023, a case of love jihad came to light from the Rajendranagar police station area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Faiz Syed was apprehended for physically exploiting a Hindu girl. He allegedly used threats to coerce her, including releasing explicit photos and videos of her and demanding to meet whenever he pleased.

Disturbingly, Faiz Syed also threatened to use acid to harm the girl. During his arrest, the police found drugs and a meat-cutting knife in his car. The charges against him include threatening, rape, and violation of the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act. Furthermore, his phone revealed numerous calls and messages from multiple girls.

As per the police report, the young woman hails from Rajpur Barwani and presently resides in the Khandwa Naka area. She is employed in a private company. The accused, Faiz Syed, first encountered her approximately four years ago while she was on her way to school. At that time, Faiz had introduced himself as Karan Ranawat. In January 2020, he took her to a friend’s room and engaged in a physical relationship with her. Subsequently, he continued to subject her to abuse.

As the young woman was strolling in the park in Barwani with the accused, she noticed a photo on Faiz Syed’s mobile phone, showing him standing in front of a mosque. Upon inquiry, Faiz Syed revealed that he is a Muslim, and his true name is Faiz Syed, not Karan. He asked the girl to convert to Islam and marry him. However, upon reaching the location, he was confronted by other individuals who apprehended Faiz. During the search, drugs were discovered, and a weapon wrapped in cloth was found inside his car.

X will pay legal bills of people treated ‘unfairly’ by employers for posting or liking something on the platform, says Elon Musk

On August 5 (local time), billionaire and X’s owner Elon Musk said the social media platform would fund the legal bills of the users who have been treated unfairly at the place of employment because of what they posted or liked on the X portal, formerly known as Twitter. In a tweet, Musk said, “If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill. No limit. Please let us know.”

Notably, there have been several instances when people lost their jobs for posting or liking something on the platform. With X offering to pay the legal bills, employees who believe they were treated wrongfully for their ideological stands on the platform may have a chance to go for a legal fight against the employer for alleged discrimination at the workplace. However, It is unclear how X will play along with its promise to follow the local laws in case a government employee seeks help to pay legal fees for fighting a case against the government for allegedly being wrongfully punished for his or her activity on the X platform.

Later, Musk replied to popular X user LibsOfTikTok for pointing out how Limited Run Games fired Kara Lynne for following LibsOfTikTok and other conservatives on the platform. Musk asked Kara if it was true, hinting at the possibility of support in paying legal bills.

Replying to Musk, Kara said, “The situation is slightly more complicated than the headline. But yes.” In January 2023, Kara was allegedly fired from the company after a trans person ‘Purple Tinker’ launched a campaign against her.

After Kara was fired from the company, X users dug out ‘Purple Tinker’ posts showing his problematic views on sexual assault on children. Following the backlash, ‘Purple Tinker’ stopped publishing anything on the X platform. The last post from the user came as a public statement and a thread claiming not to be a “paedophile” as it was only about the “terminology“.

X introduced new and improved features to improve user experience

In recent times, Elon Musk has introduced several features to attract more users to X (formerly known as Twitter). Besides rebranding Twitter to X Corp, Musk has opened a monetisation option for the creators. Provided a user has at least 500 followers, 15 million impressions in three months and a subscription to X Premium (formerly known as Blue), he or she can sign up for the program and make money.

Longer videos, editing options, better reach, and less spam have been some of the features X has introduced and worked on improving to make it an “everything” app.

ISIS Pune Module Case: ATS finds incriminating material, including an India map with marked cities, the study of terror attacks and more

0

On Saturday, August 5, a Pune court sent five accused of running an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) module in Pune to Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) custody till August 11. In a statement in the court, ATS said they found incriminating material from the accused, including an Indian map with several cities marked, laptops containing material to study the modus operandi of terror attacks and more.

As per the exclusive report by News18, ATS arrested the accused ISIS members after the investigation. The initial probe revealed they have links to the Al Sufa module. However, a later investigation revealed they all were part of ISIS.

During the hearing, ATS submitted an Indian map with several cities marked on it as evidence against the accused. Notably, the names of the cities were not revealed in the open court hearing. ATS informed the court that the terror operatives, identified as Mohammad Imran Khan and Mohammad Yunus Saki, were trained to make bombs by Zulfikar Ali and others among the five arrested by the Pune ATS in the case linked to the ISIS module.

Notably, National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested several terrorists in connection to the case on 3rd July. Four operatives arrested by the agency were identified as Tabish Nasser Siddiqui from Mumbai, Zubair Noor Mohammed Shaikh alias Abu Nusaiba from Pune, and Sharjeel Shaikh and Zulfikar Ali Barodawala from Thane.

Later, on 18th July, Pune ATS arrested Khan and Saki for their association with the terrorist organisation Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) offshoot SUFA. They were arrested from Kondhwa and were wanted by NIA in the terror module case.

Furthermore, ATS also arrested Simab Nasaruddin Qazi for helping another accused, Shahanawaaz Alam, who is currently absconding. ATS took Zulfikar into its custody from NIA from Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.

In the most recent development in the case, NIA arrested Aakif Ateeque Nachan, who is allegedly involved in the fabrication and testing of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). He is also accused of arranging hideouts for two terror operatives.

The ATS has seized a 2-wheeler used by Alam. The investigating agency also seized a 4-wheeler and five live cartridges belonging to two other accused.

Khan and Saki came to Pune during Ramzan in 2022

As per News18 report, Zulfikar and other accused allegedly taught Khan and Saki how to make bombs using explosive powder, acid and timer mechanisms. In 2022, Khan and Saki arrived in Maharashtra during Ramzan. They have been living in Pune on rent since then. ATS recovered electronic gadgets and white powder in a raid at their residence. The dog squad was immediately deployed for further investigation. The white powder was sent to the forensic lab for detailed analysis.

ATS seized chemical powder, charcoal, a thermometer, a dropper, a multimeter, small bulbs, a soldering gun, batteries, a spanner and an alarm clock from their residence. As per the official statement, the spanner was used to steal motorcycles.

Accused used Aadhaar cards to purchase drones and explosives

ATS told the court in a statement that the accused used Aadhaar cards to buy drones, acids and explosives. Further investigation is required to determine from where they purchased these products.

Accused studied previous terror attacks

While analysing the seized laptops, ATS found that they had downloaded and studied literature linked to terror attacks by different terrorist organisations. They studied the modus operandi of those attacks, including how they were planned and how the terrorists would escape after such attacks.
