80% profit, bribes, 6% share to AAP: Video of liquor scam accused Sunny Marwah’s father goes viral

On August 5, a 6-minute video allegedly of the father of Sunny Marwah, an accused in a liquor scam, went viral on social media. Two parts of the video were initially shared by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Tajinder Singh Bagga on his Twitter account.

OpIndia got access to the complete six-minute video. The video was in Punjabi. In most of the video, the person who appears to be Kulvinder Singh Marwah, Sunny’s father, was talking about how changes in the liquor policy favoured the Aam Aadmi Party.

At the beginning of the video, Marwah claimed that they were getting 80 per cent profit following the new policy. He said, “Out of the total cost, 20 per cent is the cost of the item, and 80 per cent is our share. This is why we give one-plus-one offer.” When asked how such huge margins were possible, Marwah said, “They told us we could sell our products at any price, but we have to give them a fixed amount. They took Rs 235 crores from us and told us we can open as many shops as we want and do whatever we want.”

He further stated that they paid 235 crores, but there were several others who had paid Rs 500 crores and above. He added, “We were able to get the license at such a low price because we filled tender at a lower rate. The rest of them had to take the license as per the tender they filled.” Marwah said he filled tenders for areas where shops were cheap.

He said with low-cost shops, they were able to sell cheap brands, and as the price of the items they were selling was low and margins were high, many retailers started giving a one-plus-one offer, and some even offered one-plus-two.

When asked if the margins were that high earlier, Marwah said, “Earlier out of 100 paise, 20 paisa was the cost of the items, and the government charged 70 paise. We only got ten paise as a share. Now the government has changed the rules, and we buy items for 20 paise and do whatever we want. We only have to give a fixed amount.”

At this point, Marwah made an explosive revelation. He said, “They took Rs 60 crores from us. Later, Rs 60 crores were paid to another person.” When those who were sitting with him asked if that went to the government’s account, he said, “You are intelligent,” and hinted that the money allegedly went to the party and not to the government.

Furthermore, Marwah said the only mistake government made was that they gave licenses to blacklisted companies. They discussed that AAP favoured those who were loyal to the party while giving out licenses and those who were willing to pay them for the license.

Later Marwah said they (the government) should not have charged anything in the beginning. He said, “The 12 per cent system was good. Imagine a truck arrives at your place. The middleman would have happily given 12 per cent.” He added, “We did not deal with the middleman. It was decided that we would pay them six per cent. The problem is not paying them six per cent, but the problem is how are we going to arrange the six per cent.”

Marwah then explained how difficult it is to pay money under-the-table. He said, “Imagine we sold Rs 100 crores worth of items. In that case, we have to pay them Rs 6 crores. That is not a problem. The problem is, how are we going to make that Rs 6 crores black? Nowadays, cash is not lying around that we pick it and give them the money. It is very difficult.”

Sunny Marwah is accused in the Liquor Scam

On August 19, CBI released a list of accused in the Liquor Scam, with Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia as the first accused. Sunny Marwah, the signatory of M/S Mahadev Liquors, was noted as accused number 12. M/s Mahadev Liquors, a proprietorship firm, was granted an L-1 License. Sunny Marwah is the authorized signatory of the firm. Sunny Marwah is also a director in companies being managed by the family of the Late Ponty Chadha. The CBI source has reportedly informed that Sunny Marwah is in close contact with accused public servants and has been regularly giving undue pecuniary advantage to them. The CBI has booked all 15 accused under sections 120B, 477A of the Indian Penal Code and section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 (amended in 2018).

The tragic death of Cyrus Mistry reaffirms the need for wearing a seat belt: Here is how it could save lives

On Sunday (September 4), the former Chairman of Tata Sons, Cyrus Mistry, died in a tragic road accident near Palghar in Maharashtra. The deceased businessman was en route from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when the incident took place.

Besides Mistry, one Jehangir Pandole also lost his life in the accident. According to police sources, the duo was sitting on the back seat without a seat belt. The Mercedes Benz car was being driven by Anahita Pandole while her husband Darius Pandole sat beside her.

The husband-wife duo managed to survive and are currently being treated at the hospital. Reportedly, the accident took place when their vehicle attempted to overtake another car from the wrong side. The vehicle lost control and ended up hitting a road divider on the Surya river bridge.

Given that Anahita Pandole and Darius Pandole were wearing seat belts, the frontal airbags opened in time and minimised the impact of the accident. Unfortunately, the curtain airbags did not open for Jehangir Pandole and Cyrus Mistry as they were not wearing seat belts.

The Indian government has made it clear that wearing a seat belt is mandatory, even if the passenger is sitting in the rear seat of the vehicle. Rule 138(3) of the Central Motor vehicles Rules states [pdf], “It shall be ensured that the driver, and the person seated in the front seat or the persons occupying front facing rear seats, as the case may be, wear the seat belts while the vehicle is in motion.”

Media personality, Rajesh Kalra, shared a simulation video on social media which exemplified the need to wear seat belts, even while sitting in the back seat. A passenger, without a seat belt, can end up ejecting from his seat bumping his head on the roof of the car, during a collision.

At this point, it becomes imperative to understand how seat belts work. The primary objective of a seat belt is to keep the passenger tied to his seat in case of a sudden stop (change in momentum) as seen during a collision.

In its absence, the passengers are likely to eject out of their seats and hit their heads on the frontal part of the vehicle. In worst-case scenarios, they can be ejected out of their car altogether. The seat belt is made of webbed fabric, which in turn is attached to a retractor box.

One component of the belt goes over the passenger’s pelvis region into the buckle while the other part extends from the chest to the shoulder (called the 3-point belt system/ Y arrangement). The seat belt must allow for a little movement after being worn. If not tightly fitted, it will not serve its purpose during an accident.

Besides seat belt, modern-day cars make use of airbags to provide an additional layer of protection in the event of a collision. However, airbags are not a replacement for seat belts.

During an accident, the airbags inflate immediately and deflate when a passenger’s head bangs against them. If a passenger hits his head when an airbag is not completely inflated, it can cause serious head injuries. The deflation of the air bag is crucial, in the absence of which the passenger’s head will bounce back.

Air bags make use of a chemical reaction to inflate themselves in time. Until some years ago, sodium azide would be exposed to a heating element to produce sodium metal and nitrogen gas. However, modern cars used Guanidine nitrate to inflate air bags with nitrogen gas.

They give time to the passengers to slow down and bear the impact of the collision. For airbags to work, they need an accelerometer which can trigger the airbag circuit. The circuit employs a heating element that results in chemical reactions and the formation of nitrogen. Due to a rise in sudden pressure, the bag inflates in front of the passenger.

On impact, the airbag deflates through the edges. Thus, its use coupled with seat belts can save lives.

0

Priyank Kanoongo, head of the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), has alleged that the Jharkhand government is being uncooperative and impeding the probe into the deaths of two young girls in separate incidents in Dumka district. The NCPCR chief took to Twitter to express his ordeal trying to visit and contact the families of the victims.

In a tweet, Kanoongo wrote, “I have come to Dumka to investigate two cases, had informed the Jharkhand government earlier that the family of a Scheduled Tribe girl who was raped and hanged from a tree, will be visited by a team of @NCPCR_ on which the local The collector had also given consent.”

In a subsequent tweet, he wrote, “and after deciding the program to go to the victim’s house, the administration had confirmed us. But after coming to their village, the parents could not be found at home, the neighbours told us that before we came, someone had taken the parents in a jeep. This attitude of the government is very uncooperative and obstructing the investigation.”

Priyank Kanoongo was scheduled to visit the families of the 14-year-old Dalit girl who was first raped and then murdered and a 15-year-old girl whose stalker torched her alive while she was sleeping at her home. As per the letters sent to the District Administration Dumka and the Jharkhand government, a team of NCPCR including the chief was scheduled to have a tour of the Dumka district on September 4 and 5.

The letter.

The entire plan of the visit was conveyed in two separate letters. The first letter dated 31 August mentioned, “Shri Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), will be visiting Dumka District, via Ranchi, Jharkhand on 4th & 5th September 2022, to take stock of the status on the death of a minor girl who died days after set on fire by her alleged stalker in Jaruauadih, Dumka.”

The letter.

The second letter was sent on September 4. It stated referring to the death of the minor Dalit girl, ” In addition to the scheduled visit of NCPCR team led by Shri Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson, NCPCR to Dumka on 5th September 2022, as conveyed vide ibid letter dated 31.8.2022, the team will also take stock of the status of the said incident on 5m September 2022, by convening a meeting with DC, SP, Investigating Officer of the case and Doctors who conducted the autopsy of the minor victim girl, besides to meet/interact with the family members of the deceased minor girl.”

Late last month, a teenage girl was burnt alive while sleeping in her home by her stalker Shahrukh Hussain and his friend for ignoring his advances.

‘Urdu was imposed upon us with the creation of Pakistan, the movement for Bangla language gave us independence’: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina is on a four-day visit to India. Ahead of her visit, in interaction with news agency ANI, the Bangladesh PM delved into the history of the Language Movement of 1952 while expressing her love for her mother tongue Bangla.

Speaking on how Urdu was imposed on the people of Bangladesh when Pakistan was formed, she said that it was the large-scale language movement that gave Bangladesh its Independence from Pakistan five decades back.

“When Pakistan was formed, Urdu language was imposed upon us. A language movement started across our country and we gained Independence through that movement,” she told ANI.

When asked how important Bangla is to the people who speak it, she replied that language is essential for any community.

Referring to the initial part of the interaction with ANI where she spoke in English, Sheikh Hasina added, “So far I was speaking in English language and I couldn’t speak that well as it is a foreign language to me. I may have several things on my mind that I could not express. Language is really very important for any community.”

“Bangladesh’s origin began with language and the country has only one language…The attraction toward our own language is something special as the mother tongue helps us speak our minds. It helps you to work for your country, so it is very crucial,” the PM said.

In response to another query on whether it is pride and affection for the mother tongue Bangla, rather than the rejection of other languages, Hasina said, “Yes exactly. It’s pride and love for the mother language. We don’t oppose any languages but at the same time we encourage people to learn other languages such as English, Farsi, Arabic, French or for that matter any others.”

“World is now interconnected as people are moving from place to place for various purposes, including for work. So learning new languages help in communicating with others,” Sheikh Hasina added.

When questioned whether it is a disadvantage when people from Bangladesh visit foreign countries and feel they cannot communicate properly in English because they only learned their mother tongue, Bangla, she stated that Bengalis typically learn languages very quickly.

“They learn and speak English. But they do not speak that fluently as it is not their mother tongue… I don’t speak English that well but those who learn the language speak well. Many Bangladeshi people living in other countries learnt languages spoken in that country.”

Finally, she was asked if language creates a special rapport and what language she speaks when she visits West Bengal to meet with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and others, he said, “Yes, we speak in Bangla.”

In response to another question about whether the language binds even if there are various political disputes, such as over Teesta water, the Bangladesh prime minister said, “Problems may remain but the friendship should continue.”

“Yes for sure. Impending issues may be at hand, but that doesn’t mean the friendship will weaken. Problems may remain but the friendship should continue,” the prime minister added.

Language Movement of 1952

In August 1947, India was liberated from the British, and Pakistan, a Muslim-majority country was born. The newly christened region, however, was divided into West Pakistan, which was dominated by Urdu and Punjabi speakers, and East Pakistan, which was dominated by Bangla speakers.

The West Pakistani-dominated government designated Urdu the official language of the country at an education summit held in Karachi in 1947. This would imply that all official communications would use Urdu as the means of communication and that it would be taught in schools.

Bangla, a common language in one portion of Pakistan, was eliminated as an approved school subject. It was also taken off official currency and stamps.

East Pakistan denounced the decision, with several important leaders, politicians, and student activists passionately opposing it over the next five years. The Bengali Language Movement or Bhasha Andolan, as it was famously known, arose from grassroots efforts to combat cultural and linguistic discrimination and persecution.

The one-of-its-kind movement began on February 21, 1952, and ended with the creation of Bangladesh after the 1971’s Liberation War.

After the Basic Principles Committee of Pakistan’s Constitution Assembly published its suggestion in January 1952 to make Urdu the only official language, the All-Party Central Language Action Committee was formed in East Pakistan to fight for Bangla. The committee declared a strike and vowed to stage demonstrations and processions throughout East Pakistan, Jabeen, Chandio, and Qasim on February 21.

The government enacted Section 144 in Dhaka, prohibiting all meetings, processions, and demonstrations. Thousands of students from various schools and institutions came out in protest, breaching Section 144, and held a rally on the Dhaka University campus.

The police, in turn, used canes on the young protesters carrying a march and lobbed tear gas shells to disperse them. The students, further retaliated by throwing bricks and stones, which resulted in arrests. When some students erected a roadblock surrounding the parliamentary meeting, police opened fire, killing three people and injuring many more.

The attack on students on February 21 sparked more protests across the country. According to recorded history, on February 22 and 23, workers, writers, teachers, and other people observed a total strike and even defied the Section 144 order by taking out processions.

The Language Movement achieved success. The Pakistani government was forced to recognise Bangla as an official state language by 1956.

21 February, until today is celebrated as Language Movement Day or Shohid Dibosh (Martyrs’ Day) in Bangladesh.

Although the issue of official languages had been resolved by 1956, Ayub Khan’s military dictatorship favoured West Pakistan’s interests at the expense of East Pakistan’s. Despite constituting the majority of the national population, East Pakistanis remained under-represented in civil and military services and received only a minority of state money and other government assistance.

Sectional divisions emerged as a result of regional economic, social, and political inequities, and the Bengali ethnic nationalist Awami League invoked the 6-point movement for greater provincial autonomy. One demand was for East Pakistan to be renamed Bangladesh (Land/Country of Bengal), which subsequently led to the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, during which 10,000-35,000 Bengalis were killed by the Pakistan army under Operation Searchlight while the death toll increased to over 3 lacs in the months to follow.

France: 6 years after Nice truck rampage where an Islamic terrorist killed 86 people, suspects go on trial

0

Eight individuals are set to go on trial on Monday for the horrific terror attack in July 2016 in the city of Nice in France that left 86 people dead. 6 years ago, a radical Islamist terrorist rammed a truck into a crowd of thousands of residents and tourists who were enjoying France’s national day. Shortly after the incident, police shot and killed the terrorist, a 31-year-old Tunisian man named Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel.

According to the prosecution, the suspects helped Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel get weapons, rent a vehicle, and plan the route for his deadly attack. The terrorist organisation Islamic State had claimed responsibility for the Nice assault, but French authorities found no links between the perpetrator and the Islamic State.

Three suspects, who are reported to be the attacker’s close acquaintances, are charged with involvement in a terrorist crime syndicate for allegedly aiding the attacker in obtaining the vehicle and weapons. Two of them face sentences of 20 years in prison, while the third one is facing a life sentence. Ramzi Kevin Arefa is the one facing a life sentence.

The five remaining suspects are charged with aiding indirectly through the trafficking of weaponry and are subject to shorter sentences if convicted. One of the individuals will face an absentee trial as he fled to Tunisia fleeing judicial supervision. The trial will take place in Paris and the verdict is expected in December.

The Nice Terror Attack

On July 14, 2016, a 19-tonne freight truck was rammed into a crowd of thousands of people celebrating Bastille Day on Nice’s Promenade des Anglais, killing 86 people and injuring 458 more. Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a Tunisian Muslim residing in France, was identified as the driver of the truck. The incident concluded with a confrontation in which Lahouaiej-Bouhlel was shot and killed by police.

30,000 people had congregated on the seashore to witness a firework show commemorating France’s Day when Lahouaiej-Bouhlel unleashed his rampage. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack just after the incident. On July 15, François Molins, the prosecutor for the Public Ministry, responsible for the investigation, stated that the attack had the telltale signs of Islamic jihadist terrorism.

An ammo magazine, a fake Beretta pistol, a dummy grenade, a duplicate Kalashnikov rifle, and a counterfeit M16 rifle were discovered in the truck’s cabin, in addition to the firearm used in the assault. Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a 31-year-old Tunisian national with a French resident visa and residing in Nice, was identified as the offender by French authorities. Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a driver and delivery worker, had three children but had divorced his wife.

Bareilly: Hindu man found murdered, family says he was killed over love affair with madrasa cleric Nisar Ahmed’s daughter

0

On Saturday, September 3, the body of a 22-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district. The deceased, identified as Sunil Kumar, was killed over an alleged love affair with a girl from the Muslim community. Sunil Kumar’s body was found hanging from a mango tree in a field near his house in Jianagla village in Bareilly. His mouth was gagged and his hands and legs were tied with a rope.

According to the reports, the Muslim girl’s family, particularly her father and brothers, were opposed to their inter-religious affair. Enraged over their relationship, the girl’s father and brothers allegedly kidnapped Sunil Kumar and assaulted him before killing him by hanging him from a tree.

The father of the deceased has lodged a complaint against the girl’s brothers Mohammad Fazal, Mohammad Yasin, Abrar Ahmed, and Sarfaraz Ahmed, all of whom were residents of the same village. Based on the complaint the Bareilly police have registered a case of murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused and sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem.

According to Sunil Kumar’s father Asha Ram, his son had a love affair with one Nisar Ahmed’s daughter. Nisar Ahmed, a madarsa cleric by profession and a resident of the same village was opposed to their inter-religious affair. In the past, there had been a fight between both families regarding this and Sunil Kumar was threatened by the members of the girl’s family. However, at that time, the village panchayat had intervened and a consensus was reached. Both families agreed that the youth and the girl will not meet ever again.

However, on Friday (September 2), Sunil Kumar went missing from his home. The father said that he had last seen Sunil Kumar sleeping in his room at around 11 pm on Friday, after which he suddenly disappeared. At around 1 am, he received a photo and an audio recording on a Whatsapp group from his son’s mobile.

The father said that in this audio file his son was heard saying, “Leave me. The village head has made the decision, so why are you killing me?

He further alleged that Mohammad Fazal, Mohammad Yasin, Abrar Ahmed, and Sarfaraz Ahmed beat up Sunil Kumar, gagged him, tied his hands and legs and hung him from the tree.

The father further said that the next morning at around 6 am, when his neighbour Ramdhun went to water his field, he saw a dead body hanging from a tree and immediately informed the village sarpanch about the same. The villagers who rushed to the spot, identified the body to be that of Sunil Kumar.

Additional SP Rajkumar Agarwal, meanwhile, confirmed that the police have registered a case against 5 people and detained the girl’s brothers Mohammad Fazal, Mohammad Yasin, Abrar Ahmed and two others.

“The body has been sent for post-mortem,” said the Additional SP, adding, “We have taken into account the viral pictures and an audio message for investigation.” In this case, it was told that the girl’s family wanted to take revenge on the boy. The boy’s uncle Harbhajan told the police, “my nephew was killed because of his girlfriend. His father, uncle and brother are all involved in the murder.”

In a similar incident, on August 29, Basti Police (Uttar Pradesh) arrested two brothers identified as Irfan and Irshad and their cousin Israr for murdering a 19-year-old Hindu boy Ankit as he allegedly was in a relationship with their sister Ameena Khatun. The sister was also found dead under mysterious circumstances, as per reports.

The incident took place at Padriya Chet Singh village in Ruthauli Police Station area on August 26, and the dead body of the deceased Hindu boy was found the next day. The arrests were made following the post-mortem of Ankit that confirmed he was killed by strangulation.

IT Ministry summons Wikipedia executives, seeks explanation over vandalism of Arshdeep Singh’s page to add ‘Khalistani’ association

On September 5, following the vandalism of Indian Cricketer Arshdeep Singh’s Wikipedia page, the Ministry of Electronics and Information and Technology (MeiTY) summoned Wikipedia executives in India. The ministry has sought an explanation of the incident where someone changed the entry to say that the young cricketer is associated with ‘Khalistanis’.

The changes were made following the India vs Pakistan match during Asia Cup in Dubai, where India lost by five wickets. In a nail-biting encounter, India lost by 5 wickets in the end thanks primarily to the partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz.

As per media reports, a high-level panel of the IT Ministry that is likely to be led by the IT Ministry secretary, will meet the Wikipedia executives and question them on the checks and balances in place to avoid such edits. It is notable that the changes that were made to the Wikipedia page were reverted within a couple of minutes.

The propagandists insinuated Indians blamed and ridiculed Arshdeep Singh for being a “Khalistani” as he had dropped a catch during the match. The people pushing the propaganda included the usual suspects like Alt News’ Mohammed Zubair, and Rana Ayyub, along with verified Twitter handles from Pakistan.

‘I am told his name is Aslam’: Actress Kangana Ranaut quizzes Mahesh Bhatt about his ‘real name’, accuses him of inciting violence

On Sunday (September 4), actress Kangana Ranaut shared a video clip of film director Mahesh Bhatt, questioning him over his ‘real name’ and accusing him of inciting violence.

In an undated video, Bhatt was heard as saying, “What I have understood by reading Islam is that a scared man (Dara hua aadmi) cannot be a Muslim. Wherever there is fear, there is no Islam. And where there is Islam, there is no fear.”

“Wherever there is darkness, there is no light. And where there is light, there is no darkness,” he continued. The veteran director then read out a hadith, shared with him by Maulana Mahmood Madani.

He said, “The Islamic hadith says that you must help your brother in all cases, irrespective of whether he is oppressed (mazlum) or cruel (zalim). This hadith must be recited before George Bush (US President) and Narendra Modi(the then Gujarat Chief Minister).”

“Why are you two committing atrocities on the adherents of a religion (Islam) which espouses peace and tolerance?,” he was seen whitewashing crimes committed by Islamists. Furthermore, Mahesh Bhatt claimed that the world’s greatest terrorist lives in the White House and not the mountains of Afghanistan (referring to Al-Qaeda).

Actress Kangana Ranaut shared the snippet of the undated video clips on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Mahesh Bhatt ji, casually and poetically inciting people for violence.”

“I am told his real name is Aslam…He converted to marry his 2nd wife…It’s a beautiful name. Why hide it?” she inquired. The actress also insisted that Bhatt use his real name which best represents his present religion. “He must use his real name, not represent a certain religion when he has converted…” she concluded.

Mahesh Bhatt’s film glorified suicide bomber: Kangana Ranaut

In an interview with Republic TV in July 2020, Kangana Ranaut said when she was offered a film named ‘Dhokha’, which was about a suicide bomber. Reportedly, she felt uncomfortable as the film glorified the bomber.

Though Kangana was only 18 years old at that time, she knew it was not right to portray the role of a suicide bomber to avenge torture. She said Mahesh Bhatt yelled and charged at her but was saved by his daughter Pooja Bhatt.

She had also urged the Mumbai police to question the Bhatts in connection to the unnatural death of Shushant Singh Rajput. She added, “What was Mahesh Bhatt doing between Rhea and him? Everyone wants to know. Why is Mumbai Police not calling Mahesh Bhatt for questioning?”

Grooming Jihad: Faizal Ahmad poses as Atharv to marry Hindu girl, forces her to convert to Islam, arrested

0

A fresh case of Grooming Jihad has come to the fore in the Chinhat locality of Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh where one Faizal Ahmad posed as Athrav Singh and married a Hindu girl under a false identity. The accused, Faizal, has now been arrested on the complaint of the woman and sent to jail.

The accused is a gym trainer and initially offered a job to the victim. Days after he proposed to her for marriage and made her meet his mother, who also disguised herself as a Hindu. Faizal, according to the woman, made physical relations with her and filmed the videos. When the victim wanted to get married, the accused married her in the Arya Samaj temple in Jankipuram, Lucknow. He did not, however, take the victim to his home and instead began living in an apartment with a flat. The victim, a yoga teacher, came to know about his real identity days after their marriage.

In April 2022, the girl discovered that Atharv is a Muslim with the name Faizal. When questioned, the accused confessed that he is a Muslim. Faizal then began pressuring the girl to convert. When she declined, he threatened to let the videos of their intimate relationship go viral and then abandoned her.

When the girl attempted to flee, the accused threatened to torch her alive. The girl alleges that Faizal earlier had relationships with two Hindu girls. She has alleged that Faizal forced her for unnatural sex also.

The victim has filed a complaint at Chinhat Kotwali. According to DCP East Prachi Singh, an FIR under critical provisions has been filed against the accused, and he has been apprehended.

It is notable that a Hindu teenage girl was torched alive for denying the advances of a man named Shahrukh in Jharkhand. The incident created quite an outrage in public as several incidents of Muslim men stalking and harassing Hindu girls, even under false identities and then forcing them to convert to Islam have been reported.
