Scars of how Islamists and Left came together to burn the country a year ago: From the ides of December to end of February

As Macbeth said, “Present fears are less than horrible imaginings.” And this was perhaps proven true during the ides of December 2019, when Islamists and the Left came together to burn the country. With every passing day of violence, lies and propaganda, the fear that this saga would have unimaginably horrible ends were amplified, and justifiably so. It was on the 11th of December that the Citizenship Amendment Bill was tabled in the Rajya Sabha after being passed in the Lok Sabha just a few days earlier. It was on the 11th of December 2019 that calls to Jihad started emanating, threatening to challenge the law and order of the country. It was soon after, that violence erupted, fuelled by Islamist religious fanaticism and the undeniable urge of political parties to sacrifice the country at the altar of power, culminating into the Delhi anti-Hindu riots.

What started on the 11th of December culminated in the Delhi anti-Hindu Riots 2020 on 24th and 25th of February. While ever cluster of violence since December 2019 right up to February was treated as a stand-alone, isolated case by the Left media and the Islamists who were participating in the violence, the truth was far from it. Almost every cluster of violence seemed to have been carefully planned and executed with the active role of the media, in justifying not only the violence but also shifting blame from the Islamists to the government and Hindus at large.

The violence began on the 15th of December when Muslim mobs rampaged through the national capital. Amanatullah Khan, a prominent MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Delhi’s Sunni Waqf Board chief was spotted leading the riots in Jamia Nagar. Chants of ‘Hinduon se Azadi’ were raised in the same area that very day. Buses were also set on fire during those violent protests. On the same night, the Delhi Police cracked down on the Jamia Millia Islamia University and entered the campus to flush out the miscreants. Two days later, massive riots broke out in Seelampur. Delhi turned into a war zone.

At that time, the prophetic feeling that this was just the beginning had gripped every citizen who was not completely blinded. The ‘horrible imaginings’ were not misplaced. It was evident that those who were ill-at-ease at being dethroned were prepared to burn the country to pull down a democratically elected government. It was evident that the violence would not stop. It was evident that no incident was a stand-alone incident. It was evident that every cluster of violence had been planned carefully and executed, almost masterfully. The end game was evident too – to those who wanted to see it.

Khilafat 2.0.

A vast network of Radical Islamic Organizations has spent a great deal of time and resources to manufacture a giant crisis in the backdrop of CAA and NRC. A student organization that is the ‘blood brother’ of the banned terrorist outfit SIMI has been involved in these violent protests. The link between the Islamic Youth Federation that does not believe India is sovereign and Sharjeel Imam is also being investigated by the agencies. Under such circumstances, it is mischievous and dubious to blame Hindus for Khilafat 2.0.

Let us not mince our words here. The time for beating around the bush has long since passed.

Everything that happened in Delhi points towards the fact that an attempt was made to repeat the events of the Khilafat Movement. The Radical Islamic Movement of the 20th Century which paved the way for the creation of Pakistan was marked by a massacre of Hindus that is oft forgotten: The Moplah Massacre. It is an objective fact that the Jamia anti-CAA movement was led by people who glorified the genocidal maniacs of the Moplah Massacre.

How it all started and the violence that was unleashed for 3 months straight

The cycle of carnage started when the government of India decided to ease the process of getting citizenship of India for the persecuted religious minorities of neighbouring Islamic nations. The Bill, introduced in the Lok Sabha on July 15, 2016, sought to amend the Citizenship Act, 1955 to provide citizenship to illegal migrants, from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, who are of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi or Christian extraction. After several twists and turns, the Citizenship Amendment Bill was finally passed by the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on the 11th of December. It was on the 13th of December that CAB turned into CAA after getting the President’s nod.

Almost on cue, on the 11th of December, Ladeeda Sakhaloon gave a call to Jihad.

On the 12th, Jamia Millia Islamia took out a protest march, the poster and call for which was distributed even before the 12th. The violence then erupted on the 13th of December. One recalls the angry protests by Jamia and AMU students, several Muslim groups, and the violence that erupted in West Bengal with trains being attacked, busses being burnt etc.

By the 14th of December, the situation had worsened and amidst chants of Allahu Akbar and Naara-e-Taqbeer, Jamia Millia Islamia students became violent, leaving 12 police personnel injured.

While violence brewed in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, Sonia Gandhi, the President of Indian National Congress held a ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally (Save India rally) in which, among other things she said that it is the responsibility of the people to get out of their homes, take to the streets and agitate against the Modi government. She also said that the Congress and the people should be ready to make any sacrifice to “protect” India and that this is an ‘aar paar ki ladai’ (the final battle) and people should be willing for any ‘Qurbani’ (sacrifice) 51. The provocative speech was later held responsible for the Delhi riots by some victims themselves. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee has announced that her party would hold protests in December against CAA and NRC.

On the 15th of December, the violence intensified. The ‘protesters’ raised slogans of ‘Hinduon se Azadi’, ‘Chheen ke lenge Azadi’ and ‘Ladh ke lenge Azadi’ as the violence spread from Jamia University to other areas like New Friends Colony. As the police tried to control the violence unleashed by Muslim students of Jamia, the propaganda truly began, blaming the police for cracking down on ‘peaceful’ students (who were pelting stones and Molotov cocktails). While this propaganda was busted by the police after they released a video of the violence ‘students’, the propaganda carried un unabated. At the time, the media, specifically Barkha Dutt even created ‘sheroes’ out of Islamists. Out of those who wanted to wage Jihad against Hindus.

By the 19th of December, the embers of the fire lit by Islamists in Delhi had engulfed several parts of the country like a few incidents in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh etc.

One recalls the horrifying visuals where one police officer during the violence in Ahmedabad who was running during the stone-pelting stumbled and fell to the ground. As soon as he fell to the ground, a Muslim mob gathered around him and started almost lynching him. From the video of the anti-CAA riots in Ahmedabad, it can be seen that a large mob consisting of Muslims started beating the police officer up. Towards the end of the video, it could be seen that then, the Muslim mob started chasing the police officials away while pelting stones at them mercilessly.

While several Congress and AAP politicians were arrested for the violence, the drama of Shaheen Bagh, spearheaded by Sharjeel Imam was already brewing. It was in the middle of December that the Shaheen Bagh protest was planned and orchestrated by Sharjeel Imam.

It would be rather impossible to truly capture how many plays were being enacted, simultaneously, and were all being treated as isolated incidents by the media. While violence erupted, the media was busy whitewashing the rampage. Simultaneously, Shaheen Bagh was being set up by Sharjeel Imam and he was busy delivering torrid speeches about Muslims taking to the streets and cutting off the northeast from the rest of the country. Involvement of elements like Harsh Mander, Yogendra Yadav, Amanatullah Khan etc came to the fore, while the media looked away.

By January, the provocative speeches had reached a crescendo. In a video that surfaced, Sharjeel Imam was seen inciting violence to gain international media attention during Donald Trump’s visit. Attacks were launched against those who attended pro-CAA rallies, PFI raised its ugly head with ED connecting the money trail to the Islamist organisation, social workers began to get attacked with Muslims thinking of them as those collecting NRC information etc.

A suspected false flag operation was also launched where the ‘shooter’ at Shaheen Bagh area was linked to AAP. The media, again, looked away and refused to dig further.

On the 1st of February, another shooting took place near the Shaheen Bagh protest site where the individual shot in the air and subsequently got arrested. The suspect was identified as one Kapil, a resident of East Delhi. He fired three shots but no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting. While he was being taken into custody, the suspect said, “Hamare desh me kisi aur ki nahi chalegi, bas Hinduon ki chalegi (Only the writ of Hindus shall run in India, no one else’s).”

In this shooting too, there were several questions raised even as Islamists and the Left jumped to say that a “Hindu Radical” opened fire near a spot where Muslims were protesting in Shaheen Bagh.

By the 4th of February, Delhi police made a shocking revelation regarding Shaheen Bagh shooter, Kapil Gujjar and his father’s link with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). According to the Crime Branch, Gujjar, the man who opened fire near the anti-CAA protest at Shaheen Bagh on February 1 and his father became members of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP in early 2019. The Delhi Crime Branch found certain pictures on the mobile phone of Kapil Gujjar.

In these pictures, Kapil Gujjar could be seen with AAP leaders such as Atishi Marlena and Sanjay Singh. In the pictures, AAP Dy CM Manish Sisodia and AAP leaders such as Atishi and Sanjay Singh, who had even blamed Home Minister Amit Shah for the incident of the shooting was seen felicitating Kapil Gujjar and his father. Kapil Gujjar in his statement to the police accepted that both he and his father had political aspirations and in order to fulfil it, they joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2019. He further confessed to the Delhi Police that he had bought the pistol seven years back for celebratory firing during his brother’s wedding.

The media looked away, again.

While all of this was happening, children died at Shaheen Bagh because their parents preferred to sacrifice them for their own political ends. The January cold of Delhi was unforgiving.

The media looked away, again.

The circumstances in the fourth week of February provided for the manifestation of a perfect storm. US President Donald Trump was due for an official visit to India on the 24th of February. On the 22nd of February, the protesters at Shaheen Bagh set seven conditions to end their illegal occupation of the public road. It was the fourth day of the mediation talks.

The conditions were preposterous, to put in mild terms. It was demanded that all the cases against the students of Jamia Millia Islamia University be revoked. It was also demanded that all cases against ‘youngsters’ who were booked for the Shaheen Bagh protests be revoked. In addition to all of this, the protesters also demanded that cognizance be taken of the death of people in the anti-CAA ‘protests’ across India. And, of course, they also demanded that the NPR exercise not be carried out at the national capital. The nature of these demands proved that the mediation efforts were not going too well.

The same day these preposterous demands were made to end the blockade of road, a group of over 500 Muslim women gathered near the Jafrabad Metro Station and blocked road No. 66, which connects Seelampur to Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar. Certain ‘concerned’ citizens who oppose the CAA claim that the women were incited into blocking the roads by activists associated with the Far-Left women rights group Pinjra Tod. They also claimed that violence was incited by the Pinjra Tod activists.

On Sunday, BJP leader Kapil Mishra demanded the removal of Anti-CAA protestors and clearance of the road within 3 days. He emphasized that they would not listen to anyone if the Anti-CAA rioters do not shift and clear the roads within the given time. A clash also broke out between Pro-CAA and Anti- CAA groups in Maujpur near Jafrabad, leading to heavy stone-pelting and vandalism of public property.

On the day Donald Trump arrived in India for his official visit, the 24th of February, widespread anarchy and chaos erupted across the national capital. Muslim mobs went on a rampage again in Delhi and a head constable of the Delhi Police lost his life. A petrol pump was set on fire at Bhajanpura in East Delhi and many vehicles were burnt. Another DCP has been injured during clashes between two groups in Delhi’s Gokulpuri.

In the midst of all this, the photograph of a certain gun-wielding rioter wearing a maroon/red t-shirt had gone viral on social media. Some people claimed that the gunman who opened fire at police during the Delhi riots is from the ‘rightwing’ while others have claimed that the said person is a Muslim rioter. Later, the gunman was identified as Shahrukh and was arrested.

Since then, there was chaos in Delhi. The dead body of an Intelligence Bureau constable was recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh, spearheaded by Tahir Hussain. A Hindu man was murdered in Brahmapuri amidst chants of ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ and ‘Nara e Taqbeer’. The death toll has mounted over 50 and hundreds of people have been injured. Mosques have also been said to be damaged. A great deal of property has been damaged across the national capital.

Delhi anti-Hindu riots: Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it

The cycle of violence that started in the first ten days of December culminated with the Delhi anti-Hindu riots that claimed the lives of over 50 people. The media went hammer and tongs alleging that the Delhi riots were an ‘anti-Muslim pogrom‘, trying to paint the Modi government as Nazis and the Muslims as Jews. The media, in our opinion, played an active role in the loss of lives through December, right up to February. They gave a smooth path for the Islamists and Leftists to not only claim the lives of Hindus and subvert an entire nation, and then, play the victim.

In December 2020, as we approach one full year of the violence unleashed by Islamists and Leftists, Hindus of this nation, right-thinking citizens of India, need to remember the cycle of violence and the role of the media. It is indeed true that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. With the opposition parties, Islamists, Leftists and the media (whose gravy train has ended since PM Modi came to power) getting far more desperate as the opposition loses electoral steam even further, the danger of the cycle of violence repeating itself is a real and possible danger. It is time we remember, understand and ensure that the nation is never held to ransom again.

Facebook India says there is no cause to act against Bajrang Dal, rejects WSJ report saying it is factually wrong

Facebook India head Ajit Mohan told a parliamentary panel on Wednesday that the social media giant had found no cause to act against the Hindu-nationalist organisation Bajrang Dal after reports had emerged claiming Facebook did not scrutinize accounts belonging to the Hindu organisation.

According to the reports, Ajit Mohan was summoned by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology on Wednesday chaired by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor to discuss the safety of user data. During the hearing, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram referred to a report by The Wall Street Journal that claimed Facebook had allowed the Bajrang Dal to thrive because “cracking down Bajrang Dal might endanger both the company’s business prospects and its staff in India”.

The WSJ report had claimed that despite an internal assessment calling for a ban on the Bajrang Dal, Facebook had not cracked down on the Hindu nationalist group due to these reasons.

Responding to the allegations by the WSJ, Facebook officials said before the panel members that Facebook’s fact-checking team had not, so far, found any content, among material posted by the Bajrang Dal, that violated its social media policies.

Following the WSJ report, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) had said it will take legal action against the publishers for trying to insult India and for crossing its limit.

Facebook calls WSJ report on Bajrang Dal as factually ‘wrong and untrue’

Facebook India chief Ajit Mohan has also rejected the WSJ report saying it was “factually wrong and untrue”. The Facebook team led by Mohan told the parliamentary panel that people quoted in the WSJ report “had no knowledge or authority, and were not in the hierarchical chain” to comment on the decision making process.

Mohan, however, was not able to respond on why the social media giant had not issued a rejoinder to the WSJ report. Facebook has also not sought correction of facts from WSJ.

When the panel asked the Facebook officials about the specific mechanisms the company employed to check hate speech, the social media giant reportedly told the panel that it has no grievance redressal mechanism in India. The team also claimed it did not favour any individual or political party, and was not facing any political pressure either.

It is pertinent to note that Facebook chief in India Ajit Mohan has links with the Congress party and had served in the Sonia Gandhi-led UPA. He was an advisor to the UPA and Planning Commission under Sonia Gandhi led UPA. Mohan was also associated with Kerala Congress as a consultant. He had joined Facebook India as managing director and vice-president just before 2019 general elections.

‘Liberals’ and Islamists feel betrayed as AMU administration extends invitation to PM Modi for university’s centenary celebration

0

In a first, PM Narendra Modi would be attending the centenary celebrations of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as the Chief Guest. Modi would be attending the event on December 22 via video conferencing. This will be his first appearance at the varsity. However, this has not gone down well with ‘liberals’ and Islamists, who now feel betrayed by the decision of the university.

Pertinently, Modi is the only Prime Minister to be invited to the university since 1964. Lal Bahadur Shastri was the only other sitting Prime Minister to attend an event at the AMU. He had delivered the convocation address at AMU in 1964.

The media statement from the university did not go down well with the assorted gang of ‘liberals’ and Islamists, who couldn’t stop themselves from having a meltdown on Twitter.

Congress supporter Saket Gokhale tore into the “incredibly spineless” University for inviting Modi as a guest of honour for the AMU centenary. He harked back to the last years’ anti-CAA protests, insinuating that the varsity has conveniently ignored the fact that person it has invited as the chief guest, is under whose leadership the police had attacked the students of the university during the anti-CAA agitation last year.

Replying to Gokhale, many Islamists accused the Vice-Chancellor of the university to be a Modi stooge.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student leader Afreen Fatima could be seen spewing venom against the varisty. “AMU administration disgusts me”, said the JNU student. Interestingly, Afreen Fatima is the same person who had challenged the integrity of the Supreme Court by raising doubts over its crucial decisions like that on Ram Mandir and hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru. She earlier urged Muslim mob to attack Congress MP Shashi Tharoor for his comments on communalisation of the anti-CAA protests.

Many Islamists jumped on the bandwagon. One insinuated that the varsity has invited those who “want to remove the minority status of this University”.

Invoking the last years’ anti-CAA agitation, another Twitter user shamed the varsity for inviting PM Modi who showed “no sympathy” when “Sanghis in police uniforms attacked AMU’s peaceful protestors”.

For those who are invoking the last year’s anti-CAA agitation and calling it an attack on “AMU’s ‘peaceful’ protestors” should recall that during the peak of anti-CAA protests across the country, clashes had erupted on AMU campus on December 15 last year after rumours spread that two students had been shot in police firing on Jamia Millia Islamia campus in Delhi during anti-CAA protests. During the confrontation between protesting students and police, students pelted stones at the police and had damaged police vehicles. Around 16-17 policemen have received injuries in the violent clashes with students. The police had resorted to a lathi-charge and used water cannons, teargas and rubber bullets at the protesters to control the violent mob.

AMU thanks PM Modi for accepting the invite

Meanwhile, thanking the PM for accepting the invitation, Vice-Chancellor Professor Mansoor said: “The outreach of the university during this historical year would immensely help in the growth and development of the university and placement of our students in the private and public sectors.”

“Centenary is a great landmark achievement in the history of any university. AMU and its various units, as well as Alumni Associations, have been organising various programmes attended by illustrious people from diverse fields through the virtual mode following the Government of India’s guidelines to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic,” said the V-C.

According to reports, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and President Ram Nath Kovind are also expected to join other online centenary functions of the university.

Karnataka: Communist leader’s arrest shows sinister conspiracy behind Wistron plant vandalism. Read details

0

The Karnataka police have arrested a local president of Students’ Federation of India (SFI) – a student body of Communist Party of India in connection with the violence that took place at the Wistron’s iPhone manufacturing plant in Kolar on early Saturday morning.

According to the reports, ‘Comrade Srikanth’, who is a taluk president of SFI in Kolar, was detained by the Kolar police in connection with vandalism and causing destruction of a mobile manufacturing plant in Narasapura, Kolar.

Reportedly, the employees of Wistron and SFI had planned to hold a protest outside Kolar Collector Sathyabhama’s office at 11 am on December 12. The police officials said that Srikanth allegedly curated the WhatsApp message, calling for the protest that was later circulated widely among employees.

The Kolar Rural Police said that Srikanth instigated several SFI activists, who allegedly entered Wistron’s premises on the morning of December 12, and actively participated in the vandalism that happened in the plant.

“Srikanth was arrested for instigating the violence and also bringing in non-employees into the plant which was vandalised,” the police said.

Communist affiliated trade union had justified vandalism

Interestingly, the SFI leader’s arrest comes after Communist party-affiliated trade unions defended the attacks and claimed that they were protesting against the non-payment of salaries. Krishna Siddhi, who is a member of the All India Trade Union Congress of the Communist Party of India, had said that this issue was regarding the extended shifts and the company was not paying salaries for the overtime.

Contrary to the claims of Communist-affiliated trade unions, the Labour department of Karnataka had asserted that the organisation has been regularly paying salaries to its employees and there was only a 4-day delay this month due to a software bug.

Hundreds of workers went on a rampage on Saturday and damaged property, vehicles and equipment in a flash strike on Saturday, alleging they were not paid on time and are being underpaid for the hours they put in. Later, the company officials registered an FIR with the police pegging the losses worth several crores.

Chinese propagandist threatens other companies moving from China to India

Even as the Communists in India are creating instability in the country by vandalising manufacturing units, the Communist Party of China and its propagandists have been busy issuing threats to companies that have been considering moving their manufacturing units from China to India.

Just days after employees and Communist-affiliated trade unions vandalised the Apple’s contract manufacturer Wistron India’s plant in Kolar, Karnataka, fingers were pointed towards China over its alleged involvement in creating trouble against firms that are shifting business out of the country.

In what seems to also be a threat to firms for leaving China to set up factories in countries like India, Qingqing Chen – a chief reporter of the Communist Party of China’s Global Times, had said that the destruction of Wistron’s plant in India was a potential risk for manufacturers who are moving their production lines out of China.

The propagandist of China’s Communist Party, subtly threatened the other partners of Apple Inc such as Foxconn and asked whether these companies now regret about moving their production facilities to India. Chen basically hinted that companies that move their production lines out if China may face such vandalism and loss to business.

Kejriwal govt gives sanction to Delhi police to charge Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam under sedition for instigating anti-Hindu Delhi riots

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government on Wednesday gave its sanction to the police to charge 18 people accused in the Delhi riots case, including radical Islamists Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, former AAP leader Tahir Hussain and others under sedition charges for their involvement in the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots case.

According to the reports, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi finally gave its ascent to prosecute the radical Islamists and far-left ‘activists’ who plotted the communal riots in Delhi in the last week of February that took the lives of more than 50 people.

The Delhi government has also provided sanction to prosecute far-left protestors such Natasha Narwal, Devangana Kalita, former Congress leader Ishrat Jahan and 15 others in connection with the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots case.

Devangana Kalita and Natasha Narwal are one of the founders of the far-left ‘Pinjra Tod’ group that claims to work for gender equality. They were earlier booked by the police under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for allegedly conspiring to incite the riots.

The Delhi Police had charged radical Islamist Umar Khalid – one of the masterminds of the communal riots and other accused for their alleged role in the case on October 22. The Delhi Police had informed the court that the sanction to prosecute the accused persons for sedition and other sections was still under consideration.

The consideration of charges at a court can only start after the state government gives a prosecution sanction. The police had sent a request for the prosecution sanction under sedition in mid- September to the Delhi government.

Last month, the Arvind Kejriwal-led government had given police prosecution sanction to charge the accused persons under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. However, the sanction to prosecute the accused under sedition sections was still awaited.

The Delhi government has now given sanction to charge the riots accused under sedition after vetting the charge-sheet was vetted. The Delhi government has apparently satisfied that “prima facie the accused persons had committed the acts of sedition and criminal conspiracy”. The government has also written to the Delhi police saying that the granting of the prosecution sanction has been approved by lieutenant governor Anil Baijal.

Umar Khalid complains of tooth-ache

Meanwhile, riots-accused Umar Khalid, who is currently in Tihar Jail, has complained about a tooth-ache and alleged before a court that he has not been given any medical treatment by the jail authorities for the same.

Reportedly, Khalid had claimed that he was having toothache for the last three days but did not receive any medical treatment. He claimed that a dentist was supposed to visit the jail today but he has not visited.

Khalid also said that he was suffering from pain and it was difficult for him to wait for another one week for the visit to the dentist.

Following his submissions, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Dinesh Kumar directed the jail authorities to provide proper medical treatment to Khalid. The court directed the jail authorities to file a compliance report before it within two days.

Khalid and Sharjeel Imam – masterminds of Anti-Hindu Delhi riots

Khalid was arrested by the police on September 14 for his alleged involvement in the horrific Northeast Delhi riots. He was summoned by the police for investigation and was later arrested.

In a charge sheet filed by the Delhi police and admitted by the court, it is alleged that Khalid had hatched the conspiracy of the anti-Hindu Delhi riots along with his friends during the visit of the US President Trump to India. Khalid had allegedly met the former AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain and another accused Khalid Saifi to assure logistical support during the riots through his contacts in the PFI.

Similarly, Sharjeel Imam is accused of being involved in the conspiracy that led to the break-out of riots in the national capital. He was booked under various sections of the IPC and the UAPA.

The charge sheet filed against him had revealed that Imam wanted to transform the anti-CAA protests into a nationwide movement. His WhatsApp chats revealed during the investigation show that he used the misinformation spreading around the CAA to further his agenda and in this, he got the help of local Islamic clerics.

UP Govt refutes media reports that fake spices were made out of donkey dung in Hathras

On December 17, Hathras police raided a spice manufacturing unit and allegedly found counterfeit spices of local brands. Anoop Varshney, the owner of the factory, was arrested by the police. The recovered alleged adulterated spices include coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric and spice mix (garam masala). The investigating team collected 27 samples and sent them for testing. An FIR will be registered under the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006.

Various media reports suggested that donkey dung was used mixed into the adulterated spices. However, the UP government has clarified that the no animal excreta was mixed in the adulterated spices.

Taking to social media, UP government’s Information department’s fact-checking wing clarified that the reports shared by various media houses as well as political parties is untrue. As per the UP Govt’s fact-checking team, DM Hathras has said that none of the samples of adulterated spices contained dung powder of any animal.

The administration said that only when the tests are carried out will they be able to give more details on the same.

As per reports, Anoop Varshney, owner of the factory had licence to run the factory but at different location. Hence, this factory itself was illegal. The factory was sealed after the raid.

China’s Communist Party member worked in Indian consulate, 7 branches of CCP have India connections: Report

The recent investigation by ‘The Australian’ highlighting the extent of infiltration of Chinese citizens into global institutions has a created a new threat perception for the rest of the world. The fresh data leaks have revealed that nearly two million members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) are living and working across the world.

The explosive data leak hinted that these Chinese nationals have infiltrated some of the world’s biggest corporations in the areas of defence, banks and pharmaceutical giants manufacturing coronavirus vaccines. According to the data leaks, the CPC members have also infiltrated into Indian public institutions and organisation.

A report by Indian Express suggested that at least one CPC member was hired by the Indian consulate in Shanghai using the services of a Chinese state-owned recruitment agency. The said CPC member had served in the Indian consulate in Shanghai for three years from mid-2014 to mid-2017. Further, seven affiliates of the Communist Party of China (CPC) also have an India connection.

The dataset reveals that at least seven CPC branches have an India connection and cumulatively these seven affiliates have 91 party members belonging to CPC.

The seven branches with an India connection are Shanghai Electric Power Plant Engineering Corporation’s India Project Branch Committee with 31 members, India Research Institute Joint Branch with 17 members, India Research Institute Management Branch with 13 members, City India Tenth Factory Branch with 11 members.

Further, 10 CPC members are linked to CPC Shanghai Urban Construction International Engineering Co., India Regional Centre Branch Committees, Committee of the CCP Shanghai Chilling India Branch has 7 members and New Delhi Sales Department Party Branch includes 3 CPC members, as per the Indian Express report.

Chinese Communist Party infiltrated at least 30 consulates

The recently leaked datasets shed light on the branch and membership structure of the Chinese Communist Party. In China, the Communist Party is divided into branches and Party Committees exist in most big corporations.

The data leak obtained by ‘The Australian’ newspaper has revealed how the alleged CPC members have infiltrated into at least 30 consulates in the eastern Chinese metropolis Shanghai. These CPC members have been allegedly employed as senior political and government affairs specialists, clerks, economic advisers and executive assistants.

The access to foreign consulates has been termed as a coordinated effort by the CPC for over a decade. This includes consulates of the UK, US, India, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Italy and South Africa.

The leak has alleged that the ruling CPC has infiltrated the Australian, British and US consulates in Shanghai, with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade using a Chinese government agency, the Shanghai Foreign Agency Service Department, to hire local staff.

CPC members are employed in big corporations across defence, banking, etc

The data leaks have also disclosed how CPC members have joined several multinational corporations across banking, defence, pharmaceutical and financial sectors. The companies include ANZ, HSBC, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Volkswagen and Boeing.

It has further revealed about 79,000 branches of the CPC, many of them have been working inside companies, universities and even government agencies.

The leak has exposed details of nearly 2 million CPC members after data got released from a Shanghai server by whistle-blowers. The data was extracted from a Shanghai server by Chinese dissidents, whistle-blowers, in April 2016.

Earlier, we had reported on how the Communist Party of China has gained access to top-most universities in the United States and infiltrated its research departments. Not just it, the China has also been running a spy network inside top universities in US to gain access to relevant research projects that it considers important for its national development.

‘Poor Adivasi girls are trafficked and sold’: Gujarat MP Mansukh Vasava writes to CM Vijay Rupani to bring strict laws on Grooming Jihad

Raising the issue of trafficking of Adivasi girls and increasing cases of grooming jihad, Gujarat MP Mansukh Vasava has written to Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani to bring in stringent laws.

In a letter dated 3rd December, 2020, Vasava said that people of all religions and caste live in India. However, sometimes Hindu girls lured and entrapped by some Muslim men who then force them to convert their religion to Islam. “Some organisations also impart training for carrying out such deeds. Many leaders of Hindu society have reached out to me regarding this,” he wrote in his letter.

Just as Uttar Pradesh government made stringent laws against forced religious conversions, Gujarat government should also enforce such laws, he said.

“More importantly, the girls of poor families in Gujarat, especially girls from Adivasi families in tribal areas are highly affected. In such areas, the sex ratio is low. These areas as distributed to such gangs where teams of agents work to lure these poor girls. These girls are then trafficked and sold. This should also be taken care of,” he wrote.

Uttar Pradesh: Saqib became Sonu to entrap a minor Dalit girl, forced her to convert to Islam

A case of Grooming Jihad has emerged from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh where 19-year-old Saqib concealed his religious identity to entice a 14-year-old Dalit girl into forced religious conversion. As per reports, a case has been registered under the new UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance 2020 and various sections of the IPC. A case has also been registered under the SC/ST Act.

As per the police, Mohd Saqib enticed the minor Dalit girl by pretending to be Sonu. They were allegedly in a ‘relationship’ for a year. On December 14, the duo decided to elope. They were apprehended by police when they reached Nahtaur. The police said that during interrogation, the girl said that Saqib hid his religious identity and had subsequently tried to force her to convert to Islam.

According to the girl’s parents, the girl used to study in a school in Dhampur and Saqib used to follow her after school hours. He lured her by pretending to be a Hindu, the father alleged.

This is second case registered under the anti-forced religious conversion laws in Bijnor and eighth in the state.

Saqib has been arrested and sent to jail. A case has been registered under Sections 363 (punishment for kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing a woman to compel her marriage) of the Indian Penal Code, provisions of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the new ordinance against forced and dishonest religious conversion.

The incident comes close on heels of another incident wherein a man had introduced himself as Sonu alias Bhure and worked as painter in Chandigarh. He befriended another man from Bijnor. Both returned to their native place on December 4 to attend a wedding. Here Sonu lured the daughter of his friend and eloped. The girl’s family got to know of his religious identity when they reached his home.
