Media reports suggest Kashmiri terrorists, fighting in name of Islam, are sexually exploiting women

In a shocking revelation, a cache of condoms, viagra, contraceptive pills and porn was recovered from a terror hideout in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. It betrays the fact that the terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir, who had waged jihad in the name of Islam, were involved in sexual exploitation of innocent Kashmiri women in the valley.

The recovery of materials such as sexual potency enhancing drugs, contraceptive pills to avoid complications later, pornographic material and condoms from terror hideouts reveal that the terrorists were indulging in sexually depraved acts in Jammu and Kashmir under the guise of continuing a holy war for the ‘liberation’ of the Union Territory.

Many Kashmiri girls victimised by the sexual lust of Pakistan-backed terrorists were forcibly kidnapped from their houses in Jammu and Kashmir before being sexually exploited by the terrorists. The recovery of contraceptive pills, condoms and viagra from terror hideaways in the Valley draws a sharp similarity between the rampant sexual abuse of women in Jammu and Kashmir with that of subjugation of women as sex slaves by the ISIS in Syria.

According to the testimony of one of the victims of the sexual exploitation at the hands of Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorists, she was kidnapped at gunpoint by a Jaish terrorist from her house in Kashmir.

Sh said, “I was forcibly abducted and married after the Jaish terrorist barged in my house and thrashed my family members. I was married to Tanveer Ahmad. He too was beaten and forced to divorce me. When I refused to go with the Jaish terrorist, he forcibly abducted me.”

Talking to Times Now, the victim’s father too concurred the pervasive sexual depravity perpetrated by the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. “We had married off our daughter to Tanveer but then Dawood (Jaish terrorist) forcibly abducted our daughter after mercilessly thrashing us. We ran pillar to post to free her but he threatened us with a gun. What could we do then? We were helpless, he took away our daughter,” he said.

Shopian: The hotbed of terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir

Lately, Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as the hotbed of Islamic terrorists. In the past two weeks, about 22 terrorists, including six top commanders, have been neutralised in nine different operations in the region. Jammu and Kashmir director general of police Dilbag Singh claimed that a total of 88 terrorists had been killed since January in 36 operations.

Recently, sarpanch Ajay Pandita was gunned down, presumably by Hizbul terrorists, in Anantnag neighbouring Shopian. The incident widespread outrage across the country as late Ajay Pandita’s daughter pledged vengeance against the terrorists who killed her father.

500-year-old Gopinath Temple emerges from waters of Mahanadi in Odisha after 11 years

Yesterday, it was reported how a 500-year-old Gopinath temple had emerged again from the waters of Mahanadi after 11 years in Nayagarh district of Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. Since then, a large number of people are reaching near Padmavati village for darshan of the temple. The ancient submerged temple was discovered in the Mahanadi upstream from Cuttack.

Experts say that the temple dates back to 15th or 16th century because of the construction and design of the ‘Mastaka’ and the material used for the same. Lord Gopinath is a form of Lord Vishnu. In mid-19th century, the deities were removed and installed at a higher place which was safer. The Gopinath Dev temple in Padmavati village is where the deities are installed. The last time the ‘Mastaka’ was seen was about 11 years back.

Jammu and Kashmir: Woman Sarpanch kidnapped by terrorists, released only after she promised to resign

Days after Pakistan-sponsored terrorist group ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) took the responsibility for the assassination of Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita in South Kashmir, terrorists allegedly kidnapped one woman Sarpanch from Sopore area in north Kashmir and threatened her.

In an incident that transpired on June 12 (Friday), terrorists reportedly kidnapped Zahida, a female sarpanch from Kashmir’s Sopore district and threatened her to quit her job. They recorded a video in which Zahida agreed to resign from her post. It is being believed that the terrorist released Zahida thereafter.

Woman Sarpanch threatened by Lashkar terrorists

Journalist Aditya Raj Kaul took to Twitter to inform that Lashkar terrorists in Kashmir have threatened a woman Sarpanch from Sopore in North Kashmir because she was working for the welfare of people. LeT terrorist Haider and another local thug had kidnapped her last Friday and released after threatening her.

Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch and a local BJP leader Vijay Raina claimed threat to his life

Earlier, it was reported that yet another Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch and a local BJP leader, Vijay Raina in South Kashmir region had claimed threat to his life saying that he might be next target of the terrorists in the valley.

Vijay Raina is the sarpanch of a village as well as the district level party spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kulgam.

On June 11, he had taken to Twitter to ask PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to provide security to him and other members of the panchayat who belong to minority communities of the area. He said that terrorists can now attack more panchayat members associated with the Hindu community.

LeT-backed TRF had claimed responsibility of Ajay Pandita’s assassination

On June 9, Pakistan-sponsored terrorist group ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) has taken responsibility for the assassination of Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita in South Kashmir. Ajay Pandita was an elected Sarpanch of Lokbowan Larkipora in Anantnag.

TRF is another proxy name being used for Lashkar-e-Taiba. As per reports, the new group, a new propaganda machine for Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir, has been active for the last few months. Though it claims to be ‘secular’, many experts have stated that the group is just one of the proxy names being used by Hafiz Saeed’s Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

As per reports, the terrorist group issued a statement in which it warned that no ‘political stooge’ who stands with the ‘occupational regime’ will be spared. The Statement of the terror group said, “No political stooge/collaborator who stands alongside the occupational regime will be spared. Ajay Pandita Sarpanch was one of these political leeches who tarnish the image of Jammu and Kashmir. These are the main reason for our occupational regimes to stay on our land the JK.”

The Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita was shot dead by the unidentified terrorists in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir. As per sources, he had been to work in his orchard when he was attacked by the terrorists. The area has been cordoned off soon after the shooting.

Notably, the incident happened hours after the security forces eliminated 4 terrorists in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. A cache of arms and ammunition had been retrieved from the slain terrorists.

Hateful comments against Indian Hindus: Police directs Delhi Minority Commission chief Zafarul Islam to appear for interrogation within 2 days

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has sent a notice to the Chairman of Delhi Minorities Commission Zafarul Islam, to appear before it for interrogation within 2 days. He has been summoned for his provocative post on Facebook wherein he threatened Hindus with an avalanche if Indian Muslims complaint to their friends in the Arab world.

Indian Muslims and their ‘Arab world’ friends

In his Facebook post, Zafarul Islam had thanked Kuwait for ‘standing with the Indian Muslims’ and attacked Hindus saying they will face an ‘avalanche’ if the Indian Muslims complain to their ‘friends in the Arab world‘.

“Mind you, bigots, Indian Muslims have opted until now not to complain to the Arab and Muslim world about your hate campaigns and lynchings and riots. The day they are pushed to do that, bigots will face avalanche,” he had written.

The Delhi Police had reportedly booked Zafarul Islam for sedition (IPC Section 124A) and promoting religious animosity (IPC Section 153A) on April 30. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Zafarul, following a complaint by a Delhi resident. The Special Cell of the Delhi Police had earlier issued notice to Zafarul Islam, asking him to furnish his phone/laptop by May 12 over his controversial post.

Zafarul Islam defended his statements

Zafarul Islam had clarified earlier that he stood by his comments, contrary to the erroneous reports on social media about his apology. The Chairman of the Delhi Minority Commission said that he had apologised for the tweet only because the timing of the tweet was incorrect, given that there is a pandemic underway but he does not see anything wrong with the comments themselves.

Pakistan’s Charge d’affaires to India was summoned by the Ministry of External Affairs after two Indian officials working with the Indian High Commission in Islamabad (Pakistan) went missing, reported news agency ANI. He arrived at the office on Monday afternoon.

The Indian staffers, identified as a CISF security official and a driver, have been missing since Monday morning. The Indian High Commission has raised this issue with the Pakistani authorities.

Times Now journalist Nikunj Garg had reported that the two officials have been abducted by Pakistan’s intelligence service, ISI. It’s been hours since the staffers have made contact with the Indian authorities. The two-officials, named Abid Hussain and Tahir Hussain working in the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi were expelled and asked to go back to their country. India had also asked Pakistan to ensure the safety of Indian staff in the High Commission.

Amit Shah visits Delhi’s LNJP hospital to take stock of situation after chairing an all-party meeting to deal with coronavirus crisis in Delhi

With the coronavirus caseloads in Delhi spiking at an alarming rate, the Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah today reviewed the coronavirus preparedness at the LNJP hospital in the national capital. After chairing an all-party meet earlier in the day, Shah visited the LNJP hospital to take stock of the situation.

He met senior doctors in the conference room of the hospital who provided him with details about the number of patients treated at the facility, deaths there and admission of people from outside Delhi. Shah reportedly also inquired about deaths of COVID-19 patients, recovery rate and other details.

In the all-party meet, Shah urged all political parties to shun their difference and work together for the benefit of the people. The Union Home Minister and Delhi Lieutenant Governor both assured that there will be coronavirus testing for all in Delhi during the all-party meet to discuss the management of the coronavirus situation in the National Capital Region. Responding to the cross-party demand of ramping up the testing in Delhi, Shah reassured them that the daily coronavirus test in Delhi will reach 18,000 in the next few days.

“Political differences must be forgotten and all parties must unitedly work for the people of Delhi. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we should all work together to tame this pandemic,” Amit Shah said.

“A unity among political parties will serve to bolster the confidence and trust among people regarding the situation in Delhi. I urge all political parties to ask their workers to ensure that the decisions taken by the centre for the people of Delhi are expeditiously implemented on the ground,” the Home Minister said adding, ‘We will have to scale up testing in Delhi by adopting new methods.”

The parties that attended the meeting at the North Block included Delhi’s ruling party-Aam Aadmi Party, BJP, Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s meeting with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

The all-party meet happened in the wake of a high-level meeting between the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Dr Harsh Vardhan and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. The meeting happened following the Supreme Court’s scathing criticism of the Delhi government over the handling of coronavirus patients and dead bodies in the national capital and a sharp decline in the number of testing per day.

Addressing the concerns of the Delhi chief minister, Shah announced a host of measures which included providing 500 railway coaches to tackle the shortage of beds for coronavirus patients.

Delhi is the state with the third-worst hit by the coronavirus crisis after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The national capital’s tally of coronavirus caseloads has reached 41,182-mark and the number of fatalities has risen to 1,327. Excruciating accounts of coronavirus patients struggling to get a hospital bed in Delhi hospital have been doing the rounds on the Internet after which Union Home Minister called for an all-party meet to deal with the coronavirus outbreak in the capital.

Tamil Nadu: Due to increasing coronavirus cases, govt puts 4 districts under total lockdown

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday decided to once again impose a total lockdown in four districts, including Chennai, from June 19 to June 30, in the wake of the rising caseloads registered there.

The precipitous rise in the number of coronavirus cases prompted the government to reinforce lockdown in four districts-Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and Chengalpet districts of Tamil Nadu. The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting but details on the guidelines are yet to be released.

Done on the advise of experts

The move came amidst suggestions from experts to tighten lockdown restrictions that were eased as the country unwinded itself from the coronavirus-induced lockdown starting June 1. The experts advised the state government to curb the relaxations that were granted in the backdrop of the alarming rise of coronavirus cases in the state.

“We recommended how relaxations can be tightened to stop the spread among the general public. The government will consider it and discuss it in the Cabinet meeting before deciding on the issue,” P. Kuganantham, one of the experts in the panel, had told reporters.

The COVID-19 cases in Tamil Nadu have rapidly surged to 44,000 after the restrictions were eased as a part of the government’s measure to revive the economy as a part of ‘Unlock-1’. While Delhi and Tamil Nadu have been reporting almost 2000 cases a day, Maharashtra, on the other hand, has been reporting 3000-3500 daily spikes.

No plans for restrictions in Delhi

As the Tamil Nadu government has taken cognisance of the frightening rise of the infection in the state, the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi has been nonchalant about the dangerous upsurge of the contagion that has rocked the national capital. Rejecting the rumours of lockdown in Delhi as unfounded, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today tweeted that there is no such plan of lockdown to be implemented in Delhi as of now.

Delhi has been third worst hit by the menace of coronavirus and the tally of infected stands at around 41,000 in the national capital. Reports of Delhi hospitals being overwhelmed with caseloads have been doing rounds and there are also reports of scarcity of burial spaces for Muslims casualties.

West Bengal: State govt decides to halt plans to increase the number of beds because ‘migrants recovering faster’ without needing hospitalisation

Amidst the rising cases of Wuhan coronavirus in the state of West Bengal, the Mamata Banerjee-led-Government has reportedly decided not to expand its health infrastructure or procure hospital beds right away. In contrast to the directives by the centre, the decision was made by the state government after infected migrant workers reportedly began recovering within a week and that too without hospitalisation.

Reportedly, the state of West Bengal has 8,785 beds, out of which 25% are occupied. As per a senior official was quoted by The Telegraph, more than 3000 cases in the state, out of 5500+ cases, are that of migrant workers. The official further said that only 1% of migrants develop severe symptoms that may need life support. Another official said, “We are focusing on managing the positive cases (Coronavirus) efficiently so that the infection does not spread from migrant workers to others in their families or locality.”

Nevertheless, the West Bengal Government has decided to build 200 safe houses to isolate infected migrant workers, monitor their health, and contain the spread of infection to their families. Citing the example of Howrah and Kolkata where 300 beds out of 750 and 900 beds out of 1500 are occupied respectively, the source informed that the other districts in the state, where migrant workers are currently more in number, have seen a lower occupancy of hospital beds.

Infected migrant workers ‘recover’ fast

An official from the Health Department quoted by the New Indian Express said that the condition in West Bengal is better than the national average where 2.55% of patients were in ICUs, 1.96% on oxygen support, and around 0.48% on ventilators. Reportedly, most of the infected migrant workers aged between 20-55 years had no comorbidities such as diabetes and hypertension. As such, they recovered from the deadly disease within 7-8 days and required little medical care.

Several health officials, however, questioned the decision of the Mamata Banerjee-led-government. One such official said that the State should be prepared for the worst. He warned, “We don’t know how many Covid-19 positive but asymptomatic returnees have been allowed home quarantine. The situation could change within a week or two.”

Coronavirus in West Bengal

As of June 15, West Bengal has reported a total of 5,552 active cases with 389 added to the list in the past 24 hours. The total infection tally in the state stands at 11,087. Kolkata has witnessed 158 new cases, followed by 70 and 40 cases in North 24 Parganas and Howrah respectively. Jalpaiguri in North Bengal topped the list with 24 cases in North Bengal.
