Medicines being bought secretly, treatment being done at home: The mystery behind Indore’s steep rise of dead bodies in Muslim graveyards deepens

As per a report published by Bhaskar, in coronavirus affected areas like Macchi Bazar, Bombay Bazaar in Indore, there has been a sudden spike in people purchasing oxygen generators, masks, PPE kits and hydroxychloroquine medicine, which is being administered to treat the contagion that originated in China. The report further states that not only is the treatment being carried out in secret but there are also mysterious deaths.

According to the report, a car comes for picking up the medicines and medical equipments. The car has a designated pass and permit for distribution of food. The payment for these medicines and equipment which could be used for coronavirus in Indore is reportedly being carried out by a courier company based out of Mumbai. As per Bhaskar, this was revealed by a sting operation they had carried out. Notably, it is the same area in which 127 burials were carried out Muslim graveyards in first six days of April. The number of dead bodies buried in these graveyards rose to 227 up to 12 April 2020.

As per Bhaskar, the audio recording they have recorded the conversation between the supplier and one purchaser identified as ‘Wajid’. The translation of the conversation of the reported sting is as follows:

Supplier: Should I come?
Wajid: No, not today. They’re very strict today.
Supplier: But there is pass for the car, right?
Wajid: Yes, but the car has gone to Mayur Vihar with the patient.

Another alleged conversation between the ‘supplier’ and ‘Wajid’ was about decreased oxygen supply in the cylinder because of which one patient died.

Supplier: Did you call?
Wajid: The two Philips machines you sent earlier, why is the oxygen supply low?
Supplier: Tighten the lid of the bottle, attach connector, it will work out.
Wajid: There is no pressure in the Philips machine, the patient expired in the night. We had to use the four machines you had earlier given during the day.

‘Wajid’ further reportedly claims that the Philips machine supplied also did not have a mask.

Bhaskar report further claims that the payment for these was carried out from Mumbai. Rs 93,000 were paid once and Rs 1.28 lakh were paid later. One Index Logistics Private Limited, a company based out of Mumbai, allegedly paid for these ‘secretive’ medicines and medical equipments. According to Ministry of Corporate Affairs records, the courier company is owned by one Ismail Muhammad Khan.

As per the Bhaskar report, the crime branch is currently carrying out investigation in the case.

Ahmedabad: 23-year-old Smruti Thakkar donates plasma after recovering from coronavirus for plasma therapy trial

A 23-year-old Smruti Thakkar, who recovered from coronavirus earlier this month, has decided to donate her blood plasma to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Hospital in Ahmedabad so that could be used in the treatment of other patients.

ICMR approves permission

Earlier Principal Secretary of the Health Department, Jayanti Ravi, said, “We have learned that the ICMR has given approval to the Kerala government for such plasma transfusion treatment. From Gujarat, Ahmedabad civil hospital and SVP Hospital have sought ICMR’s permission to start this treatment for coronavirus patients,”

Health officials in the State informed that plasma transfusion can be used to boost the immunity of the critical Coronavirus patients by generating antibodies in the bodies. On Saturday, the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) gave its nod to the two hospitals to run plasma therapy trials.

Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra thanked Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani for the intervention that helped SVP hospital get the required approval from the ICMR. He also informed that the donor had been identified and that the plasma donation process had been completed after the consent of the donor was obtained.

Reportedly, 6 such donors had been identified and 3 of them had completed the mandatory 14-day period, following recovery from the Wuhan Coronavirus. According to Jayanti Ravi, one blood plasma donation can be used in the treatment of 4 Coronavirus infected patients. This technique is a viable option for the treatment of critical patients in the absence of drugs and vaccines.

Thakkar had returned from Paris on 19th March and showed no symptoms for the virus but as precautionary measures she was home quarantined. A few days later she began showing symptoms for coronavirus. Upon being tested, she was found coronavirus positive. After being in hospital for 15 days, she has now fully recovered.

Gujarat fights coronavirus

City administration in Ahmedabad and Surat in Gujarat, in their daily coronavirus bulletin, have been giving out information of individuals who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. The Surat Municipal corporation has also been pinning residential details on maps so that people in the localities where there are coronavirus positive cases could be alert.

Similarly, Amdavad Municipal Corporation, too, has been giving out details of individuals who have been tested positive. While the corporation does not have an official map, Ahmedabad-based techies volunteered and have been pinning locations on Google based on the inputs provided by the corporation.

Cricketers and TikTok amidst coronavirus outbreak

The coronavirus pandemic which has continued to affect people’s lives across the world has also left the celebrities with no option but to spend their time on social media. TikTok has come to the rescue of the few. Even Indian cricketers have been spending their lockdown time in various social media platforms. Yuzvendra Chahal has been making some videos on TikTok. Earlier this week, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan had also posted a video of him dancing with his son on a popular Bollywood song “Daddy Cool”.

31 members of one family in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri flout lockdown guidelines, test positive for coronavirus

31 members one single family in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri have tested positive after coming in contact with a woman who died of coronavirus earlier this month. Despite lockdown guidelines, the family members kept meeting each other and visiting the home of the woman who had tested positive and eventually died. None of them had symptoms of coronavirus. The area has now been sealed as a hotspot.

According to District Magistrate Deepak Shinde, all 31 of them are members of the family of an old woman who died after being infected by coronavirus or had visited her. This also includes children in the family. After the death of the woman, the C-Block of Jahangirpuri was sealed on April 10 and the samples were collected even though they did not show symptoms. While 26 tested positive on Friday, the remaining five tested positive on Saturday. The authorities are not establishing contact tracing for all 31 members. While they all lived in different houses in the same block, they continued to mingle despite the area being declared as a hotspot and sealed.

All the members are now sent to quarantine facility at Narela.

Coronavirus cases in Jahangirpuri, Delhi

Earlier in March, an anti-CAA protestor in Jahangirpuri had tested positive for coronavirus after he met his Saudi returned sister who tested positive. The woman had infected her brother as well as the mohalla clinic doctor she visited and his family members. A few days back, 4 people had tested positive in Jahangirpuri’s B block, following which the entire area was sealed. The four have now recovered. Health authorities believe the next two weeks will be quite a challenge for Jahangirpuri.

As per official Delhi government figures, total coronavirus positive cases in Delhi stand at 1,893, of which 207 have recovered and 43 have lost their lives.

Pakistanis celebrate as prominent Gulf personalities joined hands with Indian Muslims in targeting the beleaguered Hindus in the Middle East

0

After it was revealed that a bunch of Indian Muslims are brazenly teaming up to brand the gainfully employed Hindus in the Middle East countries as Sanghis and get them evicted for raising unpopular opinion on the Social Media, Pakistanis on Twitter have welcomed the sinister development, lauding the Arab countries for condemning and deporting the Hindus for making critical remarks against the Muslims.

A Pakistani, Muhammad Ibrahim Qazi, took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the Arab countries who have colluded with the Indian Muslims in repatriating Indian Hindus, and in some cases punishing them for voicing disapproving remarks against the misguided Muslim practices and beliefs.

Of late, there has been a host of incidents when Hindus settled in the Middle East country have been unwarrantedly attacked by the gang of Indian Muslims for simply stating uncomfortable facts. Recently, they had managed to get a Hindu man in UAE in trouble for making comments against Muslims in TikTok who were claiming that offering Namaz for five times a day was enough to ward off the threat off the Wuhan Coronavirus. Rakesh B. Kitturmath, who worked as a team leader at Emrill Services, an integrated facilities management (FM) headquartered in Dubai, was terminated from his job on Thursday. He is currently facing the prospect of doing jail time in Dubai for allegedly insulting Islam. This, while he had not insulted ‘Islam’ rather mocked the people on Tik Tok saying that doing Namaz regularly will save them from Coronavirus, which is true, a mockworthy assertion to begin with.

Earlier, Mitesh Udeshi, an Abu Dhabi resident, was fired from his job for simply posting a cartoon on his Facebook page. Soon after he uploaded the picture, the posse of Indian Muslims started attacking him, accusing him of insulting Islam. In another case, a police complaint was filed against Sameer Bhandari in Dubai after he asked a Muslim job seeker from India to go back to Pakistan.

Such retributory actions against the Indian Hindus are often carried out under the auspices of prominent personalities in the Middle East countries who covertly extend their support to the gang of Indian Muslims under the pretext of initiating action against the hate speech.

One such individual who has joined hands with the Indian Muslims in targeting the Hindus domiciled in the Gulf countries is Princess Hend Al Qassimi, a member of the royal family of the United Arab Emirates. Portraying herself as a crusader against hate speech, Qassimi recently rebuked a Hindu man named Saurabh Upadhyay based out of Dubai for simply reiterating the facts about the criminal role of Tablighi Jamaat members in the spread of the coronavirus in India.

However, Saurabh’s posts highlighting the culpability of Tablighi Jamaat in contributing towards India’s most potent coronavirus hotspot that resulted in a huge surge in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country was branded by Qassimi as a clear manifestation of hate-speech. The censorious remarks that Saurabh made against Tablighi Jamaat members were very cunningly portrayed by her as being aimed towards the Muslim community at large. For his critical statement against Tablighi Jamaat apologists, Saurabh was termed as “openly racist and discriminatory” by Qassimi on Twitter and threatened with fine and deportation from the UAE.

Ray of hope: Post lockdown, the active coronavirus cases in India doubling every 10 days instead of 5 days showing almost a 40 per cent decline

0

To battle the coronavirus scourge, the government of India has taken a tough decision of bringing the country to a standstill. Apart from a handful, people in every nook and cranny are cooperating with the authorities to emerge from the crisis, together. Harsh is might sound, but the Tablighi Jamaat congregation has put the entire country at risk and pushed back India’s effort in fighting the pandemic. The initial 21-day lockdown the country was put under had to be extended by another 19 days, and all because of the callousness displayed by the Jamaati’s.

Nevertheless, the good part is that this astuteness seems to be paying off. Economist Shamika Ravi, who is currently the Director of Research at Brookings India and former member, PM’s Economic Advisory Council, in a Tweet today, shared two graphical representation of statistical data showing a welcome turn in the Coronavirus growth rate in India.

On April 4, through a series of Tweets, Ravi had explained how despite Tablighi Jamaat cases, India had managed to flatten the coronavirus curve. As of April 4, the active coronavirus cases in India was doubling every 5 days. According to the statistics shared by the economist today, the coronavirus cases in India is now doubling in every 10 days, raising hopes that if this trend continues, it will soon bring some relief for India.

The economist today, by the means of two graphical representation, depicts that the rate of growth of active cases is now 7.1%.

The graph below has been shared by the economist today, which shows confirmed cases in India as on April 17. It shows that though the total number of confirmed cases are increasing the rate of growth of active cases is now 7.1%. So these are doubling every 10 days, which the economist has called the lockdown effect.

To understand the better two graphs have been shared below. The first graph depicts that India has managed to reach a level where the confirmed cases are doubling every 10 days. Whereas the second graph is the old graph Ravi had shared on April 4, which displays how the cases then were doubling every 5 days

Graph as of April 17, depicting confirmed cases doubling every 10 days:

Graph as of April 4, depicting confirmed cases doubling every 5 days:

In the second graph shared by Ravi today, she displays the percentage growth rate in the last 5 days which she says stands at 7.1 per cent.

If we are to believe these statistics, rate of growth of active coronavirus cases in India is on a gradual decline, leading us to hope that India is gradually ebbing the sudden surge in the Coronavirus cases, which was largely a Tablighi Jamaat super spreader effect.

Facts released by the Health Ministry:

In fact, the Union health ministry has also said today that there had been a 40 per cent decline in the growth rate of coronavirus cases since April 1 in comparison to the fortnight earlier. The average growth rate of corona cases in India between March 15 and March 31 was 2 per cent, which has now come down to 1.2 per cent, the health ministry said.

“It is a product of how we are managing the situation at the ground level. This decline has happened after we have increased the collection of samples, including of those affected by acute respiratory infections,” said Lav Aggarwal, joint secretary at the ministry.

India has conducted 319,400 tests so far, of which 28,340 were conducted on Thursday. The country is likely to develop the capacity to manufacture one million test kits a month, and one million rapid detection kits, by next month, Aggarwal said.

The doubling rate of cases in the country has dropped to 6.2 days over the past week, as against three days before the lockdown was imposed, he said.

In 19 states and Union Territories, the doubling rate has been lower than the national average, including in Delhi, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana, and Haryana.

The health ministry also reported that 13 per cent of patients had recovered so far. The outcome ratio, Aggarwal said, for cases recovered versus deaths in India showed that 20 per cent were dying, while 80 per cent were recovering, which is better than the global average, Aggarwal maintained.

Madhya Pradesh: Sanitation workers attacked by a mob with axes, rods and sticks, one worker badly injured, main accused Adil arrested

Despite their untiring efforts and unmeasurable contributions, the attacks and assaults on frontline health workers and police personnel continue unabated. In yet another incident, two Sanitation workers were attacked at a Muslim-dominated area of Khategaon town in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district on Friday when they went to a neighbourhood to clean the streets.

The workers were sanitising the area when a group of men led by Adil, armed with sticks, rods and axes, surrounded them and started attacking them. While other workers managed to escape without major injury, one of them, identified as Deepak was badly injured as he was attacked with an axe. He has been admitted to the hospital after his hand was badly injured in the assault.

Adil, his father Habib and cleric Gop Khan, who allegedly instigated the attack, were arrested on Friday for the attack, while Aadil’s brother Arif is absconding, rural area additional superintendent of police (ASP) Neeraj Chourasia said.

As a result of the attack, sanitation workers on Saturday shut down the sanitisation work at areas of Khategaon to protest the attack, Chourasia furthered.

During interrogation, Aadil claimed that he indulged in violence as Gop Khan had told them that since the lockdown, namaazees and followers of the Tablighi Jamaat were hounded by government workers, the ASP said.

The incident:

A disturbing video of the incident has surfaced which show a mob holding sticks and surrounding the sanitation worker, pushing and pulling him. Deepak, with his shirt ripped apart, looks helpless as the mob with sticks drags him.

“Sanitation workers from the municipal corporation were working in Koyla Mohalla. Adil attacked Deepak and his colleagues with an axe. When he tried to hold the axe, he got injured. Doctors referred him to Dewas on his complaint. We have registered a case of attempt to murder and under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act,” police officer Sajjan Singh said.

Paramedics staff and police personnel being attacked regularly:

In another incident in Madhya Pradesh, a coronavirus survey team comprising doctors, teachers, paramedical staff were attacked by a local criminal in Indore when they were working in a locality. The drunk man had pelted stones ad the the team and locals who tried to protect them, and also attacked them with a knife, injuring several persons.

The attacks on the frontline workers by Muslim mobs have continued ever since the reports that Tablighi Jamaat is the primary sources of transmission of coronavirus in the country emerged.

In addition to the nuisance created by Muslim mobs, the Tablighi Jamaat members, who have emerged as the sole reason for the sudden spike in the number of coronavirus cases in India, are turning out to be quite a headache for the authorities. The anti-social behaviour of attendees of Tablighi Jamaat has left the authorities and medical teams completely distraught.

Centre amends FDI norms to protect Indian companies from “opportunistic takeovers” amidst Coronavirus outbreak

On Saturday, the Ministry of Finance and Industry issued a Press Note 3 wherein it informed that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from countries that share a border with India will only be allowed after Government approval.

The new rules imply that government approval will also be required for the transfer of ownership of any existing or future investment in India. The amendment to the extant FDI policy has been made in light of the opportunistic investments and acquisitions by Chinese firms.

Press Note 3

As per the new amendment, FDI investments into Indian companies from the neighbouring countries will now require a nod from the government. This will be applicable to all countries that share a land border with India, which includes China.

The amendment states, “A non-resident entity can invest in India, subject to the FDI Policy except in those sectors/activities which are prohibited. However, an entity of a country, which shares land border with India or where the beneficial owner of an investment into India is situated in or is a citizen of any such country, can invest only under the Government route.” Although the amendment is applicable for all countries that share land border with India, it is seen as mainly targeting China, as Chinese companies have started a buying spree across the globe amid the Coronavirus crisis.

Earlier, investment from China was permitted through the automatic except for certain sectors such as Telecom, Defence etc. It is important to mention that China had invested in several Indian startups such as PayTM and Flipkart in the past. Interestingly, 16 Chinese Foreign Portfolio Investments (FPI) of $1.1 billion are registered in India. As of December 2019, historical investments from China stand at $2.3 billion.

Scrutiny of Chinese Investment Tightened

The market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has also issued fresh communication to custodians seeking details of investments specifically coming from China or through China into Indian stock markets. According to the reports, the SEBI has asked custodian banks to disclose details of ‘ultimate beneficial owners’ of foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) based in China and Hong Kong.

The communication to custodians said, “Urgently provide a list of FPIs whose beneficial owner is from China and list of FPIs whose beneficial owner is from Hong Kong.” SEBI’s initial intent was to increase checks of only new FPIs coming from China and other neighbours of India. With Chinese investments entering into Indian markets, the SEBI is now cautioned and has now changed its focus to existing investments as well.

The direction issued by SEBI to custodians came as an immediate reaction to People’s Bank of China (PBOC) buying a little above 1% stakes in HDFC. The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) purchased 1.75 crore shares of HDFC. HDFC is one of India’s leading housing finance company and traditionally considered as one of the blue-chip stocks by most institutional investors.

Maharashtra: 3 men, including 2 Sadhus, brutally hacked to death by a mob in Palghar, police arrest 110 people

In a horrifying incident, three people, including 2 sadhus, were mercilessly lynched to death on suspicion of theft in Gadchinchale village of Palghar in Mumbai. The trio, including a 70-year-old man, was attacked on Thursday night based on the rumours that they were involved in the abduction of children to harvest organs, including kidneys.

Apprising about the incident, collector Kailas Shinde said, “They were brought dead in the hospital. About 110 villagers have been brought to police stations for questioning. Further investigation is underway.”

A manic mob of more than 100 people attacked the three men

According to the reports, a wild and frenzied crowd of over more than 100 people attacked the three people when they were on their journey towards Nashik from Mumbai to attend a funeral. The villagers deemed them as thieves and started attacking them. The police team which had rushed to the spot to rescue the 70-year-old man also came under the attack of the violent mob. The three men were travelling to Nashik in a car. The manic crowd stopped their car and violently dragged the trio out of their car before subjecting them to their relentless onslaught. Amongst the three lynched by the mob, 2 of them were Hindu sadhus while the third one was the driver of the rental car they were travelling in.

The local police official claimed that the police team had reached the location as soon as they were informed about the incident. However, they were outnumbered by the frantic crowd who had joined in droves to attack the men who they thought belonged to a gang of thieves. The police could not save the three men and all three were lynched to death by the crazed mob. Police vehicles were also attacked by the crowd. An investigation has been ordered in the case and about 110 people have been taken into custody by the police.

Rumours abound of child gang thief led to the deadly attack

The three deceased have been identified as Sushil Giri Maharaj, Jayesh and Naresh Yalgade, residents of the Kandivali suburb of Mumbai. The trio had apparently rented a car and was travelling to Nashik to attend a funeral. Despite the lockdown, the three managed to reached Palghar, 120 km from Mumbai, where they were stopped by a demonic mob baying for their blood. Rumours of the child thief gang had run high and wild throughout the region for the last few days. The crowd suspected that the three men belonged to the child thief gang and launched an aggressive assault against them. Later, when the police recovered the three men and took them to the hospital, they were pronounced dead on arrival.

3 days ago, Assistant Police Inspector Anand Kale and three other police officials and a doctor were attacked on the same suspicion that they were thieves.

Police officials uncertain if the mob killed the trio based on the rumours

While the rumours of child gang thieves have been doing the rounds in Palghar for some time, the police officials believe that the ferocity with which the mob carried out the attack against the 2 sadhus and their driver indicates that the mob was bent on killing them. An investigation into the matter is underway and the police are taking into account all the possible angles and motivations that drove the mob to unleash a mortal attack on the trio.

Actor Ajaz Khan arrested by Mumbai Police for his communal remarks in recent Facebook live, stringent 153A invoked

On Saturday, the 18th of April, Bollywood actor and hate-monger Ajaz Khan was reportedly arrested by the Mumbai Police for the communal remarks he recently made in a Facebook Live video.

In his Facebook Live video, Ajaz Khan had essentially said, “If an ant dies, a Muslim is responsible, if an elephant dies, a Muslim is responsible. If there is an earthquake in Delhi, a Muslim is responsible, i.e a Muslim is responsible for any incident. But have you ever thought who is responsible for this conspiracy?”

Speaking about the recent incident where huge crowds of migrant workers burst onto the streets in Bandra and Mumbra in Mumbai on Tuesday demanding to go home amidst the nationwide lockdown imposed in the wake of the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic, Ajaz insinuated that this incident was also pre-planned by BJP to defame Muslims and in turn defame Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray. He says that the BJP is trying to snatch Maharashtra from Uddhav Thackeray by playing communal politics.

Reportedly, Mumbai Police has invoked Sections 153A, 117 and 121 of the Indian Penal Code against Ajaz Khan. ANI too confirmed that Ajaz Khan has been arrested & case registered against him at Khar Police Station on charges of defamation, hate speech & violation of prohibitory orders.

Abusive actor Ajaz Khan, who had once said that he considers the Quran above the Indian Constitution and was arrested for inciting communal tensionthrough his video on TikTok propagating revenge on Tabrez Ansari’s death. In a hate speech video on Facebook, Ajaz Khan was seen blatantly inciting communal violence. He was found urging the Muslim community to come out on roads for avenging Ansari’s death.

Recently, hardcore Islamist Ajaz Khan menacingly threatened actor Payal Rohatgi that one day, the entire world will become Muslim. In a misogynist attack against Payal, Ajaz Khan had referred Payal Rohatgi as a C grade actor. He had threatened that if 40 crore Muslims of the country, including legal and illegal residents, came out on the streets the whole country would be shut down.

Ajaz Khan is known for his anti-democracy views which was evident from the fact that he once tweeted that he would choose the Quran over the constitution. He was arrested by Anti-Narcotics Cell of Navi Mumbai for possessing drugs. He later got out on bail. He was arrested in 2016 too for sending lewd and vulgar messages to a hair stylist. In the past too, Ajaz Khan has indulged in promoting hate speech through his Facebook account which could disturb the communal harmony in the country.
