Even after the repeated requests from the center and state government to stay indoors and maintain social distancing in order to avoid being infected from the coronavirus, the Muslim sect not only went ahead for the religious congregation but also a crowd of thousands gathered violating the countrywide lockdown along with hundreds of foreigners. As leader of the Tablighi Jamaat, Maulana Saad is now wanted by police.

The Nizamuddin event has emerged as the latest hotspot after hundreds of COVID-19 positive cases across the country were traced back to the Tablighi Jamaat, the authorities are on a ‘manhunt’ to trace all the those who had participated in the event so that they can be quarantined and their contact tracing can also be established. Many of the foreign nationals who had attended the event were found ‘hiding’ in mosques at various parts of the country.

According to the Home Ministry, more than 9000 Tablighi Jamaat workers and their primary contacts have been traced and placed in quarantine across the country in view of the coronavirus infection. Out of these 9000 people, 1306 are foreign nationals and the rest are Indians.

Here is the truth about the viral video of a Muslim man infected with Coronavirus spitting on a man standing in front of him

A video went viral on social media where it could be seen that a man had intentionally coughed upon another person while standing in a queue at a public place. It was quite clear in the video that the coughing was deliberate and pre-planned. At a time when the world is under the grip of the Wuhan Coronavirus, such videos are bound to spread panic as coughing is one of the many ways the infection could be spread.

Although many people had shared this video claiming that it is from India, it turns out that the video is from a station in Bangkok, Thailand and the spitter was indeed suffering from the Wuhan Coronavirus. The incident had happened when they were lining up to buy train tickets. And more importantly, Anan Shahoh, the spitter, was later found dead in a railway carriage on the same day. According to reports, he was seen coughing and vomiting throughout the journey. Which means that the man was in an advanced stage of COVID-19 and person on him he spat faces a grave danger of getting infected. The incident happened on Monday. Authorities are now trying to find the person the deceased had spat upon deliberately in order to ensure that the person does not spread the virus to others in case of an infection.

The man found collapsed on the train

Shadoh had recently returned from Pakistan. He had spat at the unknown passenger at the Bang Sue station in Bangkok. He was travelling from Bangkok to Narathiwat when he died. A couple of temperature checks along the way had not raised any cause for alarm. However, later on, the train staff found the person collapsed in front of a toilet. The carriage was subsequently disinfected after evacuating other passengers in the carriage. It was disconnected from the rest of the train.

“We are now worried about a man that was spat at in the security camera footage,” Thailand’s State Railway director Thakoon Intrachom said. “Initially, we co-ordinated with the railway police but they have not found him yet. We want to announce that if anyone knows him or if he has heard about the news, then he should please go to the hospital immediately.”

Meanwhile, the video has gone viral among people in India who are calling it an instance of ‘Corona Jihad’.

Meanwhile, the religious identity of the individual has not yet been specified. Indians linking the actions of the deceased Coronavirus patient is perhaps due to the actions of the Tablighi Jamaat, an Islamic missionary organization that has spread the Wuhan Coronavirus across the lengths and breadths of India.

In 2 days, Tablighi Jamaat accounts for 647 confirmed coronavirus cases in 14 states: Health Ministry

On Friday, Joint Secretary in the Union Health Ministry, Lav Aggarwal informed that about 647 confirmed cases of Wuhan Coronavirus in 14 States, reported in the past 2 days, are linked to the Nizamuddin Markaz congregation that was organised by Tablighi Jamaat.

The live cases of COVID-19 linked to Tablighi Jammat were reported in Andaman and Nicobar, Delhi, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

“If we see the rise in cases in the last few days, it has primarily been due to an increase at a particular level”, Aggarwal was quoted as saying. He also informed that 8000 samples were tested on Thursday. The Principal Secretary added that 30 lac people had downloaded the Government’s ‘AarogyaSetu’ app. He also told that a total of 2,301 cases of Coronavirus infection have been reported so far.

The Union Home Ministry on Thursday blacklisted and cancelled the tourist visas of 960 foreign Tablighi Jamaat members for violating visa conditions by engaging in missionary activities while in India.

Over 9000 people, including 1306 foreign nationals linked to Tablighi Jamaat have been put in quarantine so far.

The passports of 211 foreign nationals, out of 287, who had attended the religious congregation organised by Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz between March 13 and March 15 have been seized by law enforcement authorities in Uttar Pradesh. These foreigners have been hiding in different mosques in the State of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 34 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered against them.

Charges have also been pressed against 450 people under Epidemic Diseases Act in Meerut and the adjoining areas. A total of 2,058 members of Tablighi Jamaat have been apprehended from Bijnor, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzzaffarnagar, Baghpat, and Bulandshahr.

Uttar Pradesh: Muslim mob gathered at Kannauj’s Jama Masjid to offer Namaz defying lockdown pelt stones, injure police personnel

In yet another audacious act of mob attacking police personnel, a Muslim mob who gathered to offer mass prayer (Namaz) at Jama Masjid in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district Friday, pelted stones at the police personnel who went there to prevent them from doing so amid the Coronavirus lockdown.

Reportedly, the chowki in-charge and two other police personnel have been seriously injured in the incident. They have been admitted to the district hospital. The mob also damaged the motorcycle of an LIU personnel.

The damaged motorcycle

According to the report, a group of Muslim men had defied the lockdown rules and assembled at the Jama Masjid in the city to offer Namaz. On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot with an intention to disperse the mob. As soon as the police reached the mob started pelting stones at them. Seeing the situation worsening, the policemen escaped from there to save their lives.

When the top officials of the police department received the information about this incident, they reached Jama Masjid with heavy force. But by then the mob had escaped from the mosque. The police have, however, managed to take four persons in their custody. The entire area is now being monitored by drone cameras.

Later police recovered a huge pile of stones and bricks stored on the roof of the mosque, which were used to attack the police team.

A similar incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, where a Muslim mob had surrounded the police and hurled stones at them after the police asked them not to offer group namaz in a mosque.

On March 26, a Muslim mob not only assembled at a local mosque in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh but also attacked the policemen for asking to avoid mass prayers (namaz) in the view of nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Owing to the increasing number of incidents where Muslims have been attacking police personnel and frontline healthcare workers engaged in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to invoke National Security Act (NSA) against those who attack police personnel anywhere in the state during the nation-wide coronavirus lockdown.

The number of COVID-19 cases as on April 3, 5:30 pm stands at 127 in Uttar Pradesh. Of these 127 cases, 14 have been fully cured and discharged while two have died – one each in Meerut and Basti.

Watch: UP police to deliver FIRs at doorstep, Muzaffarnagar SSP warns lockdown violators

The Uttar Pradesh police will now be delivering the FIRs at the doorstep while maintaining the safety norm of social distancing. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Abhishek Yadav gave a strong message that FIRs will be lodged against those who will be found violating the lockdown.

He said, “For 8 days, we have been trying to tell you all that the lockdown is only for own safety, but nobody has been paying attention.”

He said that police is putting so much efforts because they know that the coronavirus is a global issue, thousands of casualties have been reported across the world because of this pandemic.

He further added, “now the Muzaffarnagar police will file FIRs if someone is seen violating the lockdown and will be delivering FIRs at doorstep, we will record video evidence of those violating the lockdown and then the FIR will be lodged and sent to home while maintaining the social distancing.”

He also warned that any attempts to tear the FIRs will not be tolerated. And multiple cases will be lodged against repeat offenders.

Coronavirus scare: Laundry Service owner diagnosed with Coronavirus in Surat, 54,000 people in the area quarantined

54,003 people have been kept under quarantine at their homes in the Rander zone of Surat in Gujarat after a 67-year-old-man who ran a laundry service in the area was diagnosed with the Wuhan Coronavirus. Reportedly, there are about 16,795 houses in the densely-populated locality and 55 teams conducted a door-to-door survey of the situation on the ground.

The area which includes 23 mosques, 12 hospitals, 22 main roads, and 82 internal roads has now been sanitised by local authorities. The laundry service owner has been kept isolated while his family members have been placed under quarantine. The State of Gujarat has reported 8 deaths and 95 live cases of COVID-19 so far.

Earlier, the Ahmedabad Police had registered a case against a crowd of people for violating section 144 during the Janta Curfew on march 22. At around 5 PM when PM Modi had urged everyone to come out in the balcony and clap as a gesture to thank the healthcare workers and servicemen, many in the state took out processions, with complete disregard for social distancing and avoiding public gatherings. Many also danced to Garba in the middle of the roads, killing the purpose of self-quarantine.

Amidst the outbreak of the Wuhan Coronavirus and a nationwide lockdown, a heart-warming video of members of the transgender community distributing ration to villagers in Godhra, Gujarat, has come to light. Two women were seen pulling a cart carrying food grains such as rice and wheat in packages.

The transgender women were seen handing out the packages along with money to the people. The person recording the video could be heard urging the villagers to stay indoors. When a young girl, clad in burkha, approached the transgenders, she was advised to read Namaaz along with her brother every day such that the virus goes away.

Wuhan coronavirus: Australian PM Scott Morrison calls for a global crackdown on China’s Wet Markets, asks WHO, UN to take action

The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison urged the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United Nations to act against China’s wet markets. Generally, wet markets refer to the markets that sell fresh meat, fish, etc, but in China, these markets are known to sell the meat of wild animals, even smuggled endangered species from other nations, which are known sources of several deadly pathogens like the Wuhan Coronavirus.

On Thursday, he was quoted as saying, “Wet markets were a very real and significant problem wherever they exist. This virus started in China and went round the world. We all know that. And these wet markets can be a real problem when it comes to what can occur in those markets. And I think from a world health point of view, this is something the World Health Organisation should do something about. I mean, all this money that comes out of the UN and the World Health Organisation.”

Earlier it was reported that a 57-year-old female shrimp seller, Wei Guixian, at a Chinese wet market in Wuhan is believed to be the ‘Patient Zero’ or the first person to have been diagnosed with the virus. On December 11, 2019, she had visited a local clinic and was given an injection. When her condition worsened, Guxian rushed to the Eleventh Hospital in Wuhan. The doctors gave her some medicines but could not cure her disease. She then went to the Wuhan Union Hospital where a doctor had called her disease as “ruthless.”

The notorious wet markets of China, which are believed to be the epicentres of the Chinese Coronavirus from where the deadly pandemic was exported to the rest of the world, have recently reopened, selling bats pangolins and dogs for human consumption.

A paper published by scientists years ago predicted the reemergence of such viruses. The paper published by Cheng VC, Lau SK, Woo PC and Yuen KY in 2007 warned, “The presence of a large reservoir of SARS-CoV-like viruses in horseshoe bats, together with the culture of eating exotic mammals in southern China, is a time bomb.” It added, “The possibility of the re-emergence of SARS and other novel viruses from animals or laboratories and therefore the need for preparedness should not be ignored.”

Uttarakhand Police reward the police team who detained 13 persons returning from a Jamaat in Uttar Pradesh

The Director-General (law and order) of Uttarakhand police announced a reward of Rupees 20,000 for the police team who detained 13 Jamaatis coming from Rampur of Uttar Pradesh to Rudrapur after they attended the Jamaat event at Moradabad.

As per reports, they travelled to Rampur after attending a Jamaat event and then were travelling towards Rudrapur.

While speaking to ANI, Ashok Kumar, DG (Law and Order) said, “A case has been registered against those who were caught by the police team. The people belonging to Jamaat have been quarantined. Out of these 13 people, three people were tested positive for COVID-19 last night.”

The Uttar Pradesh police have also tracked down 292 foreign nationals who were allegedly on different Jamaat trips in various cities in Uttar Pradesh. The foreign nationals were reportedly staying in various Mosques in different parts of the state.

The Nizamuddin Markaz event of South Delhi has emerged as the Coronavirus hotspot with several of the attendees being tested positive for the Wuhan Coronavirus also known as COVID-19. As per the Ministry of Home Affairs, 9000 Tablighi jamaat members and their primary contacts have been traced and quarantined across the country. Out of them, 1306 are foreign nationals and rest are Indians. According to the health ministry, a total of 647 coronavirus positive cases found in the last two days are linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi.

Police have seized the passports of these foreigners and have got them quarantined. Along with this, they are being investigated. The Police have also filed an FIR against people who provided shelter to foreigners.

Tablighi Jamaat behind the sudden rise in positive Coronavirus cases in Pakistan, 143 test positive in 24 hours

Like in India, one of the major reasons for the sudden rise in positive coronavirus cases in Pakistan is being attributed to Tablighi Jamaat congregation. Similar to the Nizamuddin Markaz congregation, which has caused transmission in India, the annual Tablighi Ijtema congregation in Pakistan is considered as the main source of the spread of the Chinese coronavirus in the country.

According to the reports, lakhs of pilgrims had gathered in Raiwand near Lahore last week amidst the novel coronavirus pandemic resulting in the transmission of the Chinese pandemic among the attendees of the event. It is estimated that nearly 2,50,000 people had congregated in camps near Lahore last week for the five-day festival.

It is being now reported that at least 143 members at Tableeghi Jamaat Headquarters at Raiwind city have tested positive for the Chinese virus in the last 24 hours. Following the scare, thousands of the attendees have been now quarantined in different parts of the country after showing symptoms of Chinese Coronavirus.

Pakistan authorities later placed the entire city of Raiwind under quarantine, shutting down all general and medical stores, and completely restricted the mobility of people after more positive cases reported.

There are reports that the Sindh and Punjab police have picked some members of the Jamaat from the mosques and its Raiwind Markaz, the headquarters of the Pakistani faction of Jamaat and locked up in the police stations in connection with violation of the lockdown instead of quarantining them.

The organisers of the Pakistani Tablighi Jamaat had also ignored repeated warnings from the government against such mass congregations. The Pakistani authorities had urged the cancellation of the five-day Tablighi congregation, which was attended by thousands of people from several countries.

“The government’s apprehensions stood true as several Tablighi Jamaat activists have tested positive for coronavirus and they caused the spread of it,” Lahore Deputy Commissioner Danish Afzaal said in a statement. He added the Raiwind Tablighi Jamaat Markaz is presently housing nearly 600 preachers.

Interestingly, while Pakistan says they had warned against Tablighi Jamaat congregation, the mosques in Pakistan have remained open even amidst rising Coronavirus cases.

Tablighi Jamaat members have emerged as the prime suspects among potential coronavirus carriers, not just in Pakistan but in India, Malaysia and Brunei.

In India, the Jamaat has come under severe criticism for defying the lockdown and organising a congregation. The Tablighi Jamaat is considered to be the epicentre of the transmission of the Chinese coronavirus across the country. Muslim clerics of Tablighi Jamaat organised a congregation in violation of the government’s lockdown orders, providing a conducive environment for the novel coronavirus to proliferate.

As per conservative estimates, the congregation organised by Tablighi Jamaat was attended by more than 2000 people, both from various parts of the country as well as from abroad. At least 700 positive cases from Tablighi event has been reported for the last two days and few of them have died.

Columnist says he was removed from WhatsApp group by CPI-ML functionary after he said Ramayan has become the most viewed TV program

Amidst the Coronavirus lockdown in India, Doordarshan decided to air some of its classics again. Among classics like Shaktimaan, Dekh Bhai Dekh etc being aired, the two most popular TV Serials telecast on Doordarshan were Hindu epics Mahabharat and Ramayan which were made in the 1980s. As soon as the first episode aired, the re-run became a hit, becoming the top trend on Google and even crashing the Doordarshan website. This move and the eventual popularity of the epics was bound to anger the Communists and Islamists who are averse to the realisation that India is still predominantly Hindu, much to their chagrin.

Now, a Columnist who goes by the name Anil Biswal has alleged that he was ostracised from a WhatsApp group meant for writers and journalists simply because he pointed out that Ramayan had become the highest viewed TV program in the wake of its re-run on Doordarshan.

Taking to Twitter, Anil Biswal uploaded a snapshot of his WhatsApp chat where it could be seen that in a group meant for writers, columnists and journalists, Biswal had written: “Retelecast of Ramayan garnered the highest-ever rating for a Hindi General Entertainment Channel (GEC) programme since 2015 when the Broadcasting Audience Research Council (BARC) started measuring the television audience informed the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting”.

After this message was sent by Biswal, it could be seen that he was thrown out of the WhatsApp group by one Balachandra Sarangi whose name was accompanied by ‘CPI-ML’. Thus, presumably, Biswal was thrown out of the WhatsApp group by a CPI-ML functionary for merely pointing out that the re-telecast of Ramayan, The Hindu epic, was doing well on television.

Biswal took to Twitter to write, “If you say that #Ramayana became the most viewed TV programme, then the Communists will remove you from WhatsApp group blaming you as Communal. Bhalachandra Sarangi, a hard core CPIML leader from Odiaha did so to me. Screenshot attached”.

It is not surprising that Biswal would have been ostracised when he was seen as someone who does not harbour a deep-seated hatred for Hindu epics. Several times, The Hindu epics have been denigrated by Communists, Leftists and Islamists. Even the chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’ was vilified internationally by alleging that the chant had turned into a murder cry in India.
